The astrology for this week July 25th through the 31st of 2022 suggests we try and keep our cool even in the midst of the heat of the daze.
This week could prove one intense week, times when we need to avoid impetuous actions or shooting from the lip, self-sabotaging ourselves from pent-up frustrations.
The week begins with us in something of a dither. We may know what we want, but the conditions and circumstances might seem aligned against an easy progression to our goal in mind. We could feel as if we are caught in some bizarre maze with inabilities to get out from the maelstrom of situations.
The liability of coarseness in speech and rashness in action cannot be discounted this week. Yes, it’s summertime, and we are ‘supposed’ to be feeling at the top of our game. But we are no longer in league with the ‘traditional’, not with all the varied curveballs thrown at us that demand we think on our feet and consider contingency plans with a wide variety of options and alternatives and then act with a spur-of-the-moment response.
This is a week for us to maintain our calm and to adapt an attitude of bemusement at humankind’s foibles, and even our own failings.
Thursday has the Leo New Moon with its influence over the next two weeks. This New Moon by Sign triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square, has Jupiter turning retrograde and my least favorite aspect for travel, Mercury square Uranus. And it comes at a time when we are either involved in or about to embark on our summer vacation plans.
While we are geared up for summertime fun activities, not only the temperature but our individual temperament can prove exceedingly hot. Things may not go according to plan, and we have to be wary of the level of investment we place in any one thing or situation. Like life itself during this paradigm shift, these next two weeks demand that we be flexible and adaptable to the changing conditions.
Let’s be careful out there and discover healthy steam vents to release any frustrations we might feel.
Monday, July 25th – Overload – Saturn, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Jupiter. Monday begins the week with the Gemini Moon with the Moon trine Saturn early in the day, and the Moon square Neptune. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nine and a half hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini with no further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Cancer today. The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm, Venus and Jupiter, are in square to each other. We may have our intentions in mind to start this day, but then decide to add on more and more possibilities or increased desires for our action. And therein lies the problem — trying to do too much, wanting too much, and feeling that enough is never enough and that more is always better. This is a day when our own choices can have us going from a clear-minded and practical approach to us spinning our wheels, dithering about, all in a sense of overload and with us ultimately accomplishing little. It would be wise for us to rein in our aspirations for this Monday. Let’s make our ‘to do’ list with our priorities at the head of the list and then check our projects off one by one. We may not fulfill everything on our list, but at least we shall execute our most pressing matters. If we don’t schedule our time today and draw upon time management skills, we could find ourselves running around without accomplishing much. This is a day to slow things down, whittle down our plans, and proceed effectively in what we need to achieve.
Tuesday, July 26th – Come Hell or High Water – Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Mercury. Yesterday had Venus square Jupiter, and those energies are reengaged today with the Cancer Moon square Jupiter, the Moon conjunct Venus in the morning hours, and the Moon sextile Mars in the evening. Mercury squares Mars. Whether or not we went into excess yesterday, that liability is there for us today. Perhaps we are expecting to have some fun now, after all it is summertime, but with us truly having no fun or very little, and whatever fun we are having at aggravated costs than we would prefer. Look at Disney World where ‘the happiest place on earth’ has descended into frequent brawls with people aggressively acting out. This Tuesday is a day when we will brook no interference, even avoiding or discounting anyone’s input or suggestions if they do not match our own desires. We have to be careful that this Tuesday does not prove a costly one. If we are determined to have a good time today, the costs could become exaggerated. Since we may have the liability of forging ahead no matter the circumstance, we have to be careful not to skip over important details or negate essential specifics. We might feel that we have the wind in our sails, but we are liable to have our hand off the tiller. Monday and Tuesday suggest we slow things down, not get ahead of ourselves or be too full of ourselves. Arrogance and self-absorption can come with heavy costs and disastrous consequences, both of which are liabilities at the beginning of this week.
Wednesday, July 27th – On the Dark Side – Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday has the Cancer Moon sextile Uranus, the Moon trine Neptune, and the Moon opposed Pluto before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for five and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo early on Thursday morning. We are on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon. The waning Moon is a far better time for completions rather than initiations, and it would be suggested we finish up any fixups around our home with which we may have been involved. We are about to enter the height of our summer with our intention to ‘go for the gusto’ of summertime fun. First, we may need to take care of home and family matters and then over the next two weeks spread our wings for good times with good friends. With Uranus and Neptune harmoniously involved, this is a day for us to be open and receptive to surprising developments, changing our plans, and adapting to shifting conditions. Let’s keep in mind that this paradigm shift speaks to asequential reality, things occurring in the most unexpected manner, and an opportunity for us to be co-creators with the universe unfolding. We are living during exciting times, even if it seems that it involves, even necessitates, the crash and burn of the past. It’s also essential that we not take things at face value, for appearance and true reality may not mesh. Our insight and our intuitive ability are likely heightened today. We might far prefer to laze the day away, but it is suggested we clean up and clear out in order to have a blank slate to draw upon over the next two weeks.
Thursday, July 28th – All Fun and Games – Leo New Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, Uranus, Jupiter retrograde. The Moon moves into Leo with the Leo Moon conjunct the Sun at the time of the Leo New Moon [1:56 PM EDT]. The Moon trines Jupiter, which turns retrograde today [4:37 PM EDT]. Mercury squares Uranus. With its influence on the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 11th of August, this New Moon could have us looking at ramping up our summertime fun. Whether we travel out of town or stay home, our emphasis is on having good times and using this period to recharge our batteries and regain the joie de vivre [joy of living]. We do have to be wary of the Mercury square Uranus impact, the energy configuration that is my least favorite for air travel and the liability of various disruptions to any travel plans. This two-week period calls for contingency plans, the ability to be flexible and adaptable to unexpected changes that might arise. Not only could our physical movement be hampered. We are also liable to find that our costs are greater than anticipated with unexpected costs impacting our finances. With back-to-school sales starting, we are becoming increasingly aware that regular routines are liable to impinge upon our summer fun and games in the next two weeks. Therefore, we are likely to be looking for some ‘blow out’ good times, whether we hit the road and get out of Dodge or we participate in various recreational activities. No matter the costs, we are more interested in self-care and self-enjoyment than hewing to either a budget or a realization of the drastic changes in economic conditions.
Friday, July 29th – At Any Cost – Mars, Uranus, Mercury. Friday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon today square both Mars and Uranus both in Taurus, and the Moon conjunct Mercury. We have to be wary of impetuous actions by acting without thinking today. This is a day when we might be accident prone, especially if we are pushing the envelope, behaving too assertively, and being oblivious to any changes in the conditions. If we are vacationing or staycationing, we can excuse excessive expenditures under the justification that we ‘just wanna have fun’. While it’s great that we are feeling more energized and more self-affirming and less blindly accepting the dictates handed down by the powers-that-be, it is essential that we maintain our vigilance and be mindful as to the circumstances in which we find ourselves. We are all being hard-pressed whether the pressure is the financial burden of increased costs from exceedingly high inflation, the emotional stress from all the craziness in the world, or the same old song of masking up to prevent the spike in Covid or monkeypox. Even though we were told [promised?] that the vaccine for Covid would prevent us from getting it, boosters were pushed as necessary addendums. And now people who are triple-vaxxed, quadruple-vaxxed are coming down with… Covid. And what about this mysterious health crisis that has been termed Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, where healthy adults are just dropping dead with no evident cause? With everything going on, now is a time for us to step away from the harsh realities of our times and enjoy ourselves, even to the extreme of at any cost. We just have to be adaptable and flexible, have contingency plans in mind, and twist and turn as the situations warrant.
Saturday, July 30th – The Drama Continues – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. The early morning of Saturday has the Leo Moon opposed Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost fourteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo later in the day. Relationships might prove dicey today. Everyone may seem to want to be a star, and as a result some people may be throwing tantrums if they don’t get their own way. Old issues, unresolved matters can be like thorns in our side. Let’s avoid any disagreements that could harm our connections. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are days when we might need to walk on eggshells, maintain charm and grace, and adopt a conciliatory attitude. If anyone wants to embellish their emotional drama, let’s appreciate their performance but not get embroiled in their personal issues. Everyone may be a little much, so a wiser course of action would be to keep our social engagements brief and light spirited. We continue to deal with last year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square with its battle of old and new, yesterday with the Moon square Uranus, today with the Moon opposed Saturn. We might feel more comfortable with our once reliable contacts, but let’s be certain that familiar connections can accept the transformations that we, they, and society have all been through. It’s a summer weekend, a time to relax and reinvigorate, so enough with the personal dramas.
Sunday, July 31st – Won’t Back Down – Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Sun, Jupiter. The Moon continues its transit of Virgo but without making any connections to the planets until late in the day when the Virgo Moon sextiles Venus. Mercury opposes Saturn, and the Sun trines Jupiter. Since Friday, there have been red flags, warning signs, of concerns regarding our personal interactions. Everyone may seem to have gotten puffed up, focused on their personal interests with little regard for anyone else’s perspective. It might have been cases of ‘either you’re with me or against me’, and this sentiment is exacerbated on this Sunday. People may be stuck in their personal opinion and unwilling to accept any contrary viewpoint. Such a disposition can make relationships prickly and necessitate discussing only noncontroversial subjects that we can all agree upon, innocuous topics such as the weather, baseball statistics, or planned vacation events. If anyone threatens our individual belief system, we are unlikely to back down. We might engage in heated conversation countering the other person’s viewpoint and justifying our own position, or we may just decide to walk away and spend our time alone, doing our own thing, and reinforcing our personal position. This Sunday, this weekend and these times demand that we not personalize everything. Let’s not be so invested in either winning our point or bolstering our opinion that we damage our relationships. Everyone is virtually on their last nerve thanks to all the curveballs being thrown at us — financial anxieties with high inflation costs, unnerving threats of incendiary war-like involvements, extreme weather conditions, food insecurities, one more time of virus contagions with more anticipated, and on, and on. This is a time for each of us to Keep Calm and Carry On.
