The astrology for this week of November 1st through the 7th of 2021 might remind us of the story of the Trojan Horse and cautions us to be wary of those bearing gifts.
This is a week when we could get snookered, if we buy into the images and appearances, the pleasing words and the fantastic hype, and avoid doing our due diligence. Perhaps, just perhaps, we are starting to appreciate that what we see is not always what we get. We live in a world where reality is presented and interpreted by the content providers. And that truth might be no more evident than this week.
We begin the week filled with hope and confidence with a strong slice of exuberance thrown in. What we choose to believe is the way we are likely to see things. Such an attitude could be a prescription for being easily deceived and taken advantage of. But isn’t it far better to be confident and optimistic, even if prey to being fooled, rather than being a Debbie Downer or Eeyore, who only sees the negative and all that is ‘wrong’ in the world with a strong dose of self-flagellation? Life is beautiful and evidence of beauty is all around.
Even if we do get fooled to begin the week, we can get a better grip on true reality as the week unfolds and with a little help from a trusted confidante.
As we come into the second half of the week, true reality might seem like a kaleidoscope of unexpected events thanks to the Scorpio New Moon with the Sun Moon conjunction exactly opposite Uranus and in orb of a square to Saturn. Our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square is engaged, and the New Moon influence continues up to the Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse, on the 19th.
Similar to the nursery rhyme Ring around the Rosie, we might experience over this two-week period incidents of ‘We all fall down’. And would it be any wonder with the collateral damage associated with those who choose to take or not to take the vaccine injection? With the liability of fire houses closing, fewer police on the streets, limited hospital staffing, and the like, we might see more of the unintended consequences of imposed restrictions.
Certainly, this two-week period speaks to unexpected situations developing. We may even feel as though we are trying to stabilize ourselves while tossed about what seems like a voyage on the RMS Titanic.
Yes, we are likely to be called upon to exercise our awareness, mindfulness, flexibility and adaptability to successfully navigate the storm-tossed currents of these times.
The end of the week has two Sign changes both on Friday with Venus exiting Sagittarius to enter Capricorn and Mercury exiting Libra to enter Scorpio.
Although we can experience various curveballs thrown at us, as if we haven’t already encountered a slew of them over the past two years, the weekend offers us the ability to see what is really going on, cut to the core of any situation, and then move forward focused on the truly significant in our lives.
In the US, daylight savings time ends on Sunday, but it does not necessitate a descent into darkness.
Monday, November 1st – Everything Beautiful When Not Carried Away – Pluto, Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Jupiter. Monday begins the week and the start of the month of November with the Virgo Moon trine Pluto and the Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Neptune and the Moon square Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra late in the day. Mercury trines Jupiter. Everything may seem quite beautiful in its own way as we start this Monday. Whether encouraged by someone or our being self-congratulatory, we could be feeling upbeat and optimistic about everything that is going on. Where a problem can arise is buying into the presentation without considering the substance of the matter. This is a day for us to combine our enthusiasm with practical, focused application. If we become enamored by a world of possibilities, we might spend our day spinning our wheels or caroming from one situation to another to another without accomplishing much. This day calls for concentration and prioritization. Let’s attend to the most significant matters without being distracted by the thrilling or the exciting. We can conclude certain matters if we take our ‘to do’ list and check off items one by one.
Tuesday, November 2nd – Sublime or Ridiculous – Saturn, Mercury, Pluto. Tuesday has the Libra Moon trine Saturn. Mercury squares Pluto. Tuesday can have us reconnecting with someone and the opportunity to iron out details associated with our future plans. We might draw upon someone as a solid sounding board to bounce off our ideas and our intentions. Yesterday had Mercury trine Jupiter, today has Mercury square Pluto. We may have been flying high yesterday with the liability of not being fully attentive to specifics or particulars. Today could have us paying the price for any boneheaded actions or statements caused by overconfidence and over optimism. This is Election Day in the US, and we have to be wary of what we say and to whom we say it. It should be evident by now of the vast chasm between the political divide. Unless we stick to the weather and other noncontroversial subjects, we could trigger a firestorm of reproach. We are living during times when even the most agreeable subject can be a point of contention. This is a day to watch our tongue and preach only to the choir, those people with whom we are on the same page. Discussions might turn into arguments. Our ideas may be critiqued to the point of being torn apart. Yesterday our conversations might have been pleasant and upbeat. Today, remarks can be snarky and downright nasty. Ah, the whipsaw of these times with episodes of going from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Wednesday, November 3rd – Another Way – Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. The Libra Moon today trines Jupiter, the Moon squares Pluto, the Moon conjuncts Mercury, and the Moon sextiles Venus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for two and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio late in the day. We are also on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon. After a seesaw the past two days, days when we might have gone from feeling confident and trusting to feeling disappointed and taken advantage of, this Wednesday seems to accentuate the two extremes. We may encounter smiling faces pretending to be our friend, while Machiavellian intent looks to get the better of us. I often suggest to ‘check the source and check their agenda’, wise words for this Wednesday. Being on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon, today is a day better served tying up loose ends and bringing unresolved matters to conclusion. We might prefer to chat up people and just have a good time and put our responsibilities aside, but it would be best for us to enter the New Moon cycle unencumbered or having lightened our load.
Thursday, November 4th – Hold On – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Scorpio New Moon, Sun. Thursday has the Scorpio New Moon [5:15 PM EDT] and a Fixed Sign T-Square engaging our year’s nemesis of the Saturn Uranus square. The Moon conjuncts Mars, the Moon squares Saturn, and the Sun Moon conjunction at the New Moon exactly opposes Uranus. The Sun opposes Uranus. This day, which impacts the next two weeks up to the Taurus Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse on the 19th, can have us feeling like we are either trying to squeeze through or being catapulted through the eye of a needle. Welcome to the Fun House as we become entangled in unexpected situations that can upset our stability, threaten our security, and with considerable costs and expense in the process. Whatever we believe to be true, we might see as but a façade or a pack of lies. During this paradigm shift of disruptive times and radical alterations, we may become witness to extraordinary ironies. It could seem as though the masks, facades and well-groomed appearances are dropping away and revealing the stark realities of the dramatic changes going on. Although the energy might be unsettling, it is indeed dynamic and allows us to engage powerful transformations. We just need to keep in mind that we are no longer in control of situations but rather co-creators with the universe unfolding. It may be a wild ride, so it would be wise to hold on and have faith, even if only blind faith, in the process.
Friday, November 5th – Less is More – Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus Capricorn, Mercury Scorpio. Friday has the Scorpio Moon trine Neptune, the Moon square Jupiter, and the Moon sextile Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius late in the day. Venus exits Sagittarius to Enter Capricorn [6:44 AM EDT], and Mercury exits Libra to enter Scorpio [6:35 PM EDT]. Mercury’s entry into Scorpio creates a Stellium of three planets in the Fixed Water Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Mars in Scorpio. While the boat may be rocking and the images of reality flickering, we have gotten used to the theatrics and the theme, all of which now seem like ‘same old, same old’. Although it’s hard to imagine the lockdowns and imposed restrictions as having benefits, one thing this virus reaction has done for many people is have them turn inward. I am happily surprised to learn from many clients and many people I encounter that they used the stay-at-home orders as a time of spiritual retreat, a time to work on themselves, explore their creative talents, and accept accountability and responsibility for their life choices. In the process, many of us came to realize that less is more, that a high maintenance lifestyle was one of diversions and distractions. We also discovered the truth to the saying ‘if life hands you lemons, make lemonade.’ And many of us have. Increasingly, we are well aware that we are capable of dealing with whatever is thrown at us, no matter the backdrop, and we have acknowledged our life journey as truly that of the spiritual warrior. There may be some twists and turns occurring in the world over the next few weeks, but we are able to not only withstand the onslaughts, but we can also ascend to the challenge and grow through the process.
Saturday, November 6th – True Essence – Saturn, Mercury, Venus. Saturday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon sextile Saturn. Mercury sextiles Venus. We may take on a more serious tone on this Saturday. If we have errands to accomplish, we can do so expeditiously thanks to our being adept at time management skills today. We might also be considering our next steps forward and how we can best achieve our ambitions. Reaching out to a trusted confidante could provide valuable insights and information. Let’s recognize that many things have changed and in order to achieve our maximum success, we can benefit by adapting our perspective to the new parameters all the while that we check any new insights with a trusted friend to make sure that what we are seeing reveals the true essence of a situation. We are not interested in the fluff or the decorative but rather the truly meaningful and how we can develop quality of life for ourselves. We can still have fun on this Saturday, but our priority is to discuss the parameters in which we find ourselves and determine how we can best navigate our course for successful outcomes.
Sunday, November 7th – Out of Darkness, Light is Born – Neptune, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday has the Sagittarius Moon square Neptune, and the Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost eleven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn late in the day. In the US, much of the country in the early morning hours will switch their clocks back as we move from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time. It will be getting darker earlier as we move towards the Winter Solstice. Whenever we switch our clocks between daylight savings time and standard time or vice versa, it seems to throw off our body clocks for a day or two, similar to Mercury turning from direct to retrograde or vice versa. We might start this Sunday slightly groggy, a little out-of-sorts. And that could be the case whether we were partying and indulging last night or not. Although this Sunday might be slow starting, once we get going we could be looking to spread our wings and have a good old time. Whether we get out of Dodge to explore new terrain or look to get together with a good friend[s], this Sunday can be a pleasant relief from the whipsaws of earlier this week. We might consider this Sunday to be a day of rest, but it could prove far too exciting to make it out as restful. Time to have a good time and not worry about responsibilities or demands that can be postponed until tomorrow when we can be hard at it.
