The astrology for this week of July 12th through the 18th of 2021 suggests good times in the summertime with some people traveling, others taking a well-deserved break, and many of us just enjoying ourselves. It’s summertime after all, and this week we could embrace the sense of ‘summertime and the livin’ is easy’.
The week begins with us feeling upbeat and confident and spreading our wings. Explorations and self-expressions are foremost in our mind. We may have been restricted, held down, and limited over the past year plus, but now like breaking free, each of us may be stretching into creative venues and recreational pursuits.
The first two days of this week are primo days to have a good time with us feeling at the top of our game. If we can, Monday and Tuesday are two days for us to go for the gusto in whatever format we might choose. Even if there are naysayers who focus on all the wrongs in the world, we are unlikely to pay them much heed. Life is good, and we appreciate the many opportunities we have to fully enjoy ourselves.
The one caveat to this first half of this week is excess, trying to do too much and extremes in our partying.
Balance is always our challenge with a liability of us swinging as if manic – depressive from the lows of despair and desperation to the highs of exhilaration and boundless optimism. After a lengthy period of fear mongering and hand wringing over all the threats to our feelings of security, this week might have us flipping into a ‘devil may care’ attitude of expecting only the good and enjoyable.
Although the early days of this week can have us with our head in the clouds and soaring above all earthly and human travails, the second half of the week allows us to put our spirit into action. We may be highly productive drawing upon new techniques or technologies to streamline our operations and accomplish more in a shorter period of time than previously.
While much of the week may have us concentrating on our individual involvements with the focus on our personal interests, the end of the week and the weekend make us aware that often our greatest enjoyments are those activities that include that special person or those special people in our life. Get-togethers over the weekend can enhance our good times. We might have tasks to attend to, but we are in no mood to have our summer plans limited or restricted. We all could be asking ourselves: ‘why do today what we can put off until tomorrow?’
Monday, July 12th – Let the Good Times Roll – Venus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Jupiter. Monday begins this week with the Moon in Leo and the Leo Moon conjunct Venus and the Moon conjunct Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twenty hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo early Tuesday morning. Mercury trines Jupiter. This Monday starts the week with us feeling like we are basking in the sunshine, whether the sun is shining or not. Nothing can rain on our parade today. This is a day for us to truly enjoy. We do have to recognize that the Leo concentration of planets triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with our year’s nemesis of the Saturn in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus. We may have to be flexible and adaptable, two key characteristics to successfully navigate these times, and willing to accept delays and unexpected situations arising, but despite any niggling difficulties we are up for having a good time. No naysayers or parade rainers for us today. We’re upbeat, walking on sunshine, and engaged in letting the good times roll.
Tuesday, July 13th – Second Verse Same as the First – Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Mars. Tuesday has the Moon moving into Virgo where today the Moon opposes Jupiter and the Moon sextiles Mercury. Venus conjuncts Mars. Yesterday and today are the two exemplary days for enjoying ourselves and engaging summertime activities with the emphasis on having fun. With our sense of being fully engaged in good times we do have to be wary of excess and indulgences today. With yesterday’s trigger of our enjoying whatever we are doing with the emphasis upon our personal desires, this Tuesday might have us going to extremes of enjoyment. This day may be reminiscent of times when enough was never enough, and we embraced too much of something with the consequent effect of feeling woozy or having a hangover after the party was over. ‘Moderation in all things’ is a wise suggestion, and one we should consider on this Tuesday. If we temper our cravings, we could enjoy fun activities without going overboard. We might consider planning out or day before we start out, for otherwise we could have so much on our plate that we carom from one thing to another enjoying the moment but suffering the aftermath. Monday and Tuesday are the primo days this week for having a good time.
Wednesday, July 14th – Smarter Not Harder – Uranus, Sun, Neptune. The Virgo Moon trines Uranus, the Moon sextiles the Sun, and the Moon opposes Neptune on this Wednesday. With the Moon in Virgo, the Moon triggers a Grand Trine in the Earth Element with the Moon today trine Uranus in Taurus, and early tomorrow the Virgo Moon trine Pluto in Capricorn. After two days when much of our involvement may have been on our personal interests, our creative pursuits, and re-creational activities, Wednesday provides us with the wherewithal to get things done in a most expeditious manner. Not that we have to put our summer activities on the back burner. We can balance our fun activities with taking care of our usual responsibilities. From the recreational break of the past two days we may be more open to alternatives and options that we would not otherwise consider when we are in harness and doing our routine matters in familiar ways. By streamlining our methods and drawing upon time management skills, this Wednesday gives us the impetus to work smarter rather than harder. Let’s plan out our day, looking at the big picture and taking into account the small details that will complete the picture.
Thursday, July 15th – Acknowledging the Muse – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Sun, Neptune. Thursday begins the day with the Virgo Moon trine Pluto and the Moon completing the Earth Grand Trine that the Moon began to trigger yesterday with the Moon trine Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra where late today the Moon squares Mercury. The Sun trines Neptune. During these turbulent, tumultuous times the challenges for each of us is to maintain balance and find that point of equilibrium for ourselves. Life’s challenge is to find balance between the material realm and the spiritual realm. Like a metronome, we often go between the extremes of being primarily focused on the material with brief interludes of inner reflection and spiritual contemplation. This Thursday could provide incidents of this interaction between the material and spiritual. We can continue being productive from yesterday’s influence, all the while that we are listening to our inner voice and taking into account what our true purpose, our individual journey through this life experience, is all about. By acknowledging the muse, we could gain a greater understanding of the beauties and the bounties in our life. We do not have to be directed solely by the rational, the empirical, the limits of our awareness. We can be guided by the otherworldly, if we choose to take note of the signals along our way. An attitude of gratitude and an appreciation of the many blessings in our life open the door ever wider to the magic and miracles of these times.
Friday, July 16th – Good Times, Good Friends – Saturn. Friday has the Libra Moon trine Saturn. This is a day for us to get together with a good friend. We may not have the same interest in exciting, thrilling events we might have savored earlier in the week. We are likely to prefer a leisurely time with someone with whom we have some history. Today would be a day to reflect on pleasant memories and share thoughts of times together. We can solidify relationships today. Earlier in the week, we might have been a little too self-absorbed, more interested in what we want to do, and each of us seeking to be on center stage no matter our platform. Today, we may be more interested in collaborations, finding that balance point between our personal interests and those of other people. While in our entitled society there are few receptive listeners, this Friday encourages hearing what other people are saying, gleaning ideas, information and camaraderie in our interactions. Whether we get together in person or through phone, text, social media, et al., a reach out to other people could engage us in meaningful conversations, meaningful both in the sense of personal connection and also in information to be shared. Let’s take the time on this day to enjoy good times with good friends.
Saturday, July 17th – Demands or Desires – Mars, Venus, Lunar Sign T-Square, Sun, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter. The early morning hours of Saturday has the Libra Moon sextile both Mars and Venus both in Leo. The Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Libra Moon squares the Sun in Cancer, and the Moon squares Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for seven and a half hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra without any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Scorpio where today the Moon trines Jupiter. The Sun opposes Pluto. We start the day in search of more good times, but the energy quickly shifts to errands and obligations. Although demands are liable to be calling, we are likely to tune out the static. This week has been too good a week for relaxation and recreation for us to shut down the music and get back on track of what needs to get done. Necessities can wait, for it is summertime, a season for ‘time outs’ as we enjoy ourselves and let our responsibilities linger. Desires may well win out over the demands today.
Sunday, July 18th – Back at It – Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Uranus. The Scorpio Moon trines Mercury before the Moon triggers our nemesis for the year, the Saturn Uranus square, in a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Scorpio Moon square Saturn in Aquarius and the Moon square Uranus in Taurus. We might be looking at a paring down in order to focus on the truly important. We might prefer some homestay time today with the recognition that we need to get rid of certain things in order to make room for the new and the different. Whatever our trajectory on this Sunday might be, let’s keep in mind that there can be delays and frustrations with unexpected situations arising, all of which could impede our forward progress. Let’s keep in mind that [1] there are times when we need to go back over things to see them more clearly and to complete them before we move ahead, and [2] the trajectory we project for ourselves might not be the trajectory intended for us by our higher consciousness or by the universal unfolding. Today is one of those days when, as the saying goes, we need ‘to let go, let god’, no matter how we define god, hopefully not in an anthropocentric image of making god in our image, a concept rather narcissistic, wouldn’t you say?
