The astrology for this week of April 10th through the 16th of 2023 can have us embracing high hopes, a determination to be more effective with less expenditure of energy, and a weekend tuned to good times with good friends.
The week begins with us more interested in what lies beyond our normal parameters with a confidence and sense of invincibility that always seem stronger in concept than during actual implementation. We are likely upbeat and inspired with interesting, serendipitous encounters available to us.
Tuesday has Venus exiting its own Sign of Taurus and ending the Stellium in the Fixed Earth Sign as Venus enters Gemini. Our enthusiasm could prove contagious and compelling, attracting to us some fascinating information or intriguing individuals that might prove valuable for our future goals.
There can be no stopping our optimism as we start this week, which we could then turn spirit into action and be highly effective in what we need to get done by the most expeditious means possible.
This week may have us soaring with the eagles. Let’s just not fly too close to the sun like Icarus in Greek mythology. The more that we can have our head in the clouds and our feet firmly planted on the ground, the more we can accomplish and prove successful in our efforts.
The weekend would be a good time for social occasions, getting together with friends or that special someone for quality time. Even if we meet up with someone with whom we have had disagreements or unpleasantries, we do not have to add fuel to the fire. On the contrary, the more that we can acknowledge blips on the screen, hiccups in our journey forward and with the realization that all of us have experienced incredible stress points during these tumultuous, disruptive times of this paradigm shift, the less likely we are to hold on to grudges or be stuck in our rigid stance.
It would be wise to keep in mind the Taoist advice of ‘bend like a reed or break like an oak’. These times call for flexibility and adaptability and not getting caught up in the hype or projections of reality. Things can change suddenly and dramatically.
All in all, this week of April 10th through the 16th may have us fully in the throes of ‘spring fever’, enjoying good times while still addressing what needs to get done but not getting bogged down by busy work or distracted by the appearances of reality.
Monday, April 10th – Up, Up, and Away – Sun, Jupiter. Monday begins this week with the Moon continuing its transit through Sagittarius where late on this Monday the Sagittarius Moon trines both the Sun and Jupiter both in Aries. Tomorrow the Sun conjuncts Jupiter. If we can get away with it, this Monday is a day for whatever catches our fancy, a day that uplifts us and makes us feel good about everything operating in our personal world. Quite a tonic compared to the constant barrage of dystopian events presented by the narrative that tends to throttle us and put us in a reactive, secondary position. No, this Monday calls for us to stretch beyond our normal parameters and engage our creative talents and focus on expanding our personal interests. Monday and Tuesday of this week can have us at the top of our game with an enthusiastic attitude that could prove contagious and certainly appealing. We might win adherents to our cause just by our personality and our presentation. We are likely walking on the sunny side of the street today, no matter the weather or whether the crazy-making antics in the world-at-large have died down or been ratcheted up. Although we can be in high gear on this Monday and Tuesday, it would be wise to keep in mind the suggestion ‘moderation in all things’.
Tuesday, April 11th – Carried Away with Ourselves – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Venus, Pluto, Sun, Jupiter, Venus Gemini. The Moon completes its transit of Sagittarius with the Moon square Neptune early in the day. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn where late today the Capricorn Moon sextiles Saturn. The Sun conjuncts Jupiter, and Venus trines Pluto shortly after Venus enters Gemini [12:47 AM EDT]. With Venus exiting its own Sign of Taurus, the Stellium in the Fixed Earth Sign ends. This Tuesday demands that we not get lost in irrational exuberance. Assumptions that nothing can go wrong and that everything will go right could certainly be our downfall today. It would be wise to talk things through with a trusted confidante to be certain that we are not headed in a direction that might seem flawless at the start but could wind up being one disaster after another as we proceed. Optimism is all well and good so long as it is connected to a practical approach and a realizable goal. Even if we go too far out on the limb earlier in the day, we may be able to backtrack later in the day unscathed and with a reasonable attitude and strategic plan to achieve successful results. Monday and Tuesday are two days to avoid going too far too fast and operating solely on a wing and a prayer.
Wednesday, April 12th – Slow and Steady Wins the Race – Mars, Mercury, Uranus. Wednesday has the Moon in Capricorn with the Capricorn Moon today opposed Mars, the Moon trine Mercury early in the day and the Moon trine Uranus late in the day. We may be gung-ho to start the day, but it would be wise for us to rein in our energy and not go off without fully considering all that we wish to accomplish. Strategizing our schedule and taking things step by step would go a long way for us to successfully attain our intentions for this day. Utilizing time management skills, we could be expeditious in everything we do today. Making our list and checking it twice allow us to be certain that we have taken care of everything on our ‘to do’ list. We just need to avoid being too impetuous. We can be more effective taking the time to devise our strategy for this day, do things step-by-step, and getting much of our mundane concerns out of the way early in the day. Unexpected situations later in the day could present exciting surprises. We might find a tempting bargain or innovative equipment that may help us be more effective with less expenditure of energy. With everything that we are expected to handle ratcheting up daily, the more that we can pare down our time involvement with each matter, the more productive and successful we are likely to be. This is a day when it would be wise for us ‘not to rush the river’ but be attentive to the currents without being tipped over by the early day rapids. As the proverb reminds us: ‘slow and steady wins the race’.
Thursday, April 13th – First our Responsibilities, then our Possibilities – Jupiter, Sun, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Pluto, Venus. Thursday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon square both Jupiter and the Sun both in Aries early in the morning hours. The Moon then sextiles Neptune before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for six and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius. The Aquarius Moon today conjuncts Pluto and the Moon trines Venus. We might feel hampered by what we must attend to, but it would be suggested that we deal with our tasks before we alter our focus into get-togethers and future possibilities. Let’s deal with the specifics, concentrate on the most important issues, and rid ourselves of any encumbrances that could slow us down later today and through the weekend. We don’t have to clear the deck, but we do need to create space for our future contemplations. We may be champing at the bit to try new trajectories, engage new interests, but it would be wise for us to deal with outstanding matters before doing so. A slight hiatus between our daily obligations and our future possibilities would allow breathing room for us to have a fresher perspective so that our future engagements are not entangled by our past involvements. Often it is best to close the door, take a moment to regroup and then move ahead in different directions with a clearer head. Evening hours can have pleasant get-togethers and with someone providing us potentials that we had not even considered.
Friday, April 14th – What Can Be Realistically – Mercury, Uranus, Venus, Saturn. Friday has the Aquarius Moon square both Mercury and Uranus both in Taurus. Venus squares Saturn. Friday could have us with our head in the clouds but our feet nowhere near the ground. The liability of our being unrealistic in our plans and costly in our involvements cannot be dismissed. This Friday could prove a day when our eyes are bigger than our finances would allow. We need to be wary not to be controlled by our desires without considering the consequences of our actions. We may all be looking for ‘yes’ people to affirm our choices and our decisions. If anyone questions our motivations today, we might engage a nasty pushback that could have ramifications for our relationships. Let’s avoid being childish today, for we could be all over the place with what we want and seduced by instant gratification. If we go shopping today, it would be suggested we keep the receipts, for impulse purchases are liable with regrets of buyer’s remorse subsequently. Outstanding debts and old connections may come calling. This is a day for us not to get flummoxed or act precipitously. We need to take our time, figure things out, and determine how best to proceed with as little harm to ourselves as possible. It would be wise for us to weigh both the pros and cons before we commit to any significant investment of our resources — time, finances, energy.
Saturday, April 15th – Brief Reprieve – Jupiter, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. The Aquarius Moon on this Saturday sextiles both Jupiter and the Sun both in Aries. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for seven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces later in the day. The 15th of April is usually Tax Day in the US, the day for the required filing of our federal taxes. Since this 15th falls on Saturday, we have a brief reprieve until Tuesday the 18th. One might say ‘woohoo’, but we might also realize that come Tuesday we shall have to ante up a significant share of our earnings to the federal government. But as popularized in a song by the music group The Grass Roots in the late 1960’s, the refrain reminds us: “…live for today And don’t worry ‘bout tomorrow…” And so it may be for us on this Saturday. We are concentrating on having a good time today, exploring new interests, investigating new realms and with a special someone, a group of friends, or solo. We can put everything aside today, and just enjoy ourselves. As long as we are feeling recognized and appreciated, everything can go swimmingly. We may be feeling upbeat and optimistic, and any cares in our world we are likely to put on the back burner, negate our concerns, and concentrate on having a good time.
Sunday, April 16th – Keeping it Mellow – Saturn, Venus, Mars, Mercury. Sunday has the Pisces Moon conjunct Saturn and the Moon square Venus early in the day. As the day progresses, the Moon trines Mars, and the Moon sextiles Mercury later in the day. We might start this day on the wrong foot. Perhaps our sleep state wasn’t the greatest with anxiety and concerns plaguing us. We may need some alone time in the morning hours, and we do need to avoid getting overly emotional. Misunderstandings or bad tempers are liable in the early morning hours. This Sunday could be slow starting but gets better as the day goes along. Spending time at home with those closest to us would be suggested. The afternoon might have us cleaning up around our home and creating a sense of sanctuary for ourselves. We’re not looking to do too much today and no heavy lifting, since we might have blown it out yesterday and during the week. They often refer to Sunday as a day of rest, and the energies today would certainly prescribe rest, relaxation and keeping it mellow on this Sunday.
