The astrology for this week of September 4th through the 10th of 2023 could have us highly productive and effective if we keep in mind that we’re in a Mercury retrograde.
The week begins in the US with Labor Day, the last day of the long holiday weekend that unofficially brings closure to our summertime.
With an Earth Grand Trine by orb in effect and punctuated throughout the week, we can get back on track of our routine matters and accomplish a great deal.
Jupiter turns retrograde suggesting we become wise stewards of our finances. No matter how pressed we might be by the scourge of inflation with the consequent increased living costs, we may pare down the use of our credit cards and dissuade ourselves from engaging a sentiment of ‘buy now, pay later.’
Immediate gratification is better suited for easier times.
While none of us like to feel pressured into doing things that run against our expansionary desires, we would be able to make a game out of cutting costs and being more attuned to the conservation of our resources. As I often suggest: “living simply is not simply living.”
We could garner a greater appreciation of the blessings in our lives and all that we have been given and affirm a sentiment akin to the saying: ‘the best things in life are free.’
While this week is a ‘can do’ week, we need to avoid taking on too much or assuming we can handle ever more. Mid-week could have us a little crazed as we try to juggle any number of things. Even if we attend to a myriad of situations, we might not do so well but instead gloss over significant details and negate important particulars.
The weekend may be a time for us to address home projects and family matters. Our home is often our base camp, whether we work out of our home or use it as a refuge where we recharge our batteries through rest and sleep.
The end of the weekend might have us looking for some fun event or good times with good friends.
All in all, this week is a week when we may be getting back on track refreshed and energized and ready to put an emphatic imprint on our personal realm.
Monday, September 4th – Back on Board – Sun, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Jupiter retrograde. Monday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today trine both the Sun and Mercury both in Virgo, the Moon square Venus, and the Moon conjunct Jupiter. Mercury trines Jupiter, and Jupiter turns retrograde [10:10 AM EDT]. Monday starts this week in the US with the last day of the long Labor Day holiday weekend considered the ending of summer and the beginning of our autumn routine. We may still be in summertime mode, but the opportunity to be productive and effective can be nagging at us to get on board with what we need to get done and attend to our tasks. This week is largely about getting back in harness, putting away our summer activities, and concentrating on our responsibilities, our goals, and our ambitions. Monday and the first half of Tuesday impel us to plan our course of action and implement a well-considered plan to achieve successful results. We might prefer to just have a good time today, but a singular focus on fun events would lose the advantages this day offers in getting things done and figuring out a best practices approach. Even if we feel that we haven’t had enough of summer, or that our summer didn’t live up to our expectations, we may feel replenished enough to have a positive attitude about what we can do and what we can accomplish in the days ahead. Yesterday had Venus turning direct, today Jupiter turns retrograde. Our relationships can take a turn for the better, whereas our expansionary plans may need to be tempered or whittled down.
Tuesday, September 5th – Concentrated to Unfocused – Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn. Tuesday has the Moon completing its transit of Taurus with the Taurus Moon during the first half of this day triggering the transcendental planets with the Moon conjunct Uranus, the Moon sextile Neptune, and the Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes is transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini where late today the Gemini Moon squares Saturn. Drawing the magic of these times where we are offered signs and the means to work smarter rather than harder, we could accomplish a great deal in the first half of this Tuesday. By thinking outside the box, drawing on both our intuitive sense and our critical analysis, and prioritizing our activities, we could work smarter rather than harder and achieve more than we might imagine. As the day proceeds, the wheels can come off the bus, as our thinking becomes more diffuse with a belief that we can take on any number of things and even grousing about some of the tasks we need to address. This day seems highly paradoxical with us being highly productive shifting into our being inattentive and ineffective. We need to maintain a grip on our thoughts and our intentions. Otherwise, we could find ourselves spinning late on this Tuesday, tomorrow, and into Thursday.
Wednesday, September 6th – With a Little Help – Mars, Venus, Mercury, Sun. Wednesday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today trine Mars, the Moon sextile Venus, and the Moon square both the Sun and Mercury both in Virgo. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. We might have gotten confused, even overwhelmed, yesterday. There may have been so many variables that we could not clearly and diligently attend to any one of them. This Wednesday can seem in a similar mode. Although we are looking at how best to proceed, either our insecurities of being capable to achieve successful results or our having too many options on our plate could wind up with us spinning our wheels. Today suggests we draw upon the input and objective perspective of someone who is more readily able to see our situation in a detached manner. We needn’t expect them to deal with what we need to get done, but we might need someone to steer us in the right direction before we initiate action. Today and this week can be a highly productive week if we don’t get flummoxed by all that we believe we need to do, if we would draw upon the advice of a trusted friend and then proceed in a step-by-step manner rather than taking a scattershot approach. Once engaged in right direction and without constantly reevaluating our capabilities or questioning our self-worth, we can move ahead effectively and successfully and without any significant detail left behind.
Thursday, September 7th – Chasing Butterflies – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Although the Moon continues its transit of often-manic Gemini, there is not a great deal of energy on this Thursday. Late in the day, the Gemini Moon squares Neptune. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over six and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer early on Friday morning. Our thoughts and interests on this Thursday are likely to revolve around friendships, social get-togethers, and future pursuits, all with an undercurrent feeling of chasing butterflies. Hopefully someone yesterday helped to keep us on track of right action and right involvements. Otherwise, we could easily have spun off into la-la-land, a strong possibility and liability on this Thursday. It would be easy for us to fall prey to various illusions, delusions, and fantasies on this Thursday. As long as we don’t make any serious commitments or significant purchases today, we can rest assured that ill-conceived choices today bring no harm, no foul. By the end of this Thursday, we might feel a little blown out from three days of doing too much and having too much going on, even if they’ve been only windmills in our mind. We may be looking forward to ‘down time’ over the weekend with our intentions for catching our breath and reinvigorating ourselves in the comfort of our la-z-boy or sleeping in.
Friday, September 8th – Rallying Gently Smoothly – Saturn, Mars, Mercury, Sun, Jupiter. Friday has the Moon moving into Cancer where today the Cancer Moon trines Saturn, the Moon squares Mars, and the Moon sextiles Mercury. The Sun trines Jupiter. Perhaps traipsing through options and alternatives in our considerations yesterday gave us something of a second wind, for this Friday can have us upbeat, feeling comfortable in our own skin, and reestablished as far as our goals and the things we wish to achieve. The comfort of our sanctuary, whether it be our home or our workspace or both, provides a solid support for us to advance our interests without making waves. We can go about our business today, tidy up our surroundings, and develop a best practices approach as to how to proceed in realizing our ambitions. We may be far less frenzied than we might have felt over the past three days. We do not have to account to anyone nor justify our plans. If we are strong in our convictions and appreciative of our capabilities, we can advance our interests no matter what naysayers might otherwise indicate. Friday is a day for us to stand firm in our confidence and secure in our belief that we are able to successfully handle whatever comes our way.
Saturday, September 9th – Home Sweet Home – Jupiter, Sun, Uranus. Saturday continues with the Moon in Cancer with the Moon today sextile the Sun in Virgo and the Moon sextile both Jupiter and Uranus both in Taurus. Time spent engaged in home and family might be incredibly rewarding on this Saturday. We may decide to tidy up our home, purchase certain items for our home, and make even subtle changes that reflect the changes we wish to incorporate in our life. We are likely to feel more together, enjoying what we have created for our lives, and appreciating the people who are an integral part of our lives. This is a day for us to take in all the blessings we have. No Debbie Downers or Eeyores today, for we just don’t have time to engage the negative when we can see the truly positive aspects that we encounter daily. While much of our focus today may be on our home and family, and extended family, adding a little spice and variety to the evening hours would encourage us to spread our wings, take off the blinders and consider options we might not have considered previously. We can be like an eagle that creates its nest, flies off from it, always to return to the nest. Let’s add a little adventure to our evening hours.
Sunday, September 10th – Do What You Do – Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday has the Moon finishing its transit of Cancer with the Cancer Moon today trine Neptune and the Moon opposed Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo. The Leo Moon today makes no connections to the planets. One of the astrological phenomena of these times is the tendency for the Moon in its transit to hit off in succession the transcendental planets of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, and in that sequence. Saturday had the Moon sextile Uranus, and today the Moon triggers Neptune and Pluto. Part of the opportunity, and the challenge, of these times is transformation. Either by our choice or imposed upon us by the universe, each and every one of us is going through transformation. Even societies are going through transformations. Like a volcanic release, either the transformations can be subtle but highly dramatic or they can be explosive and life-altering. Certainly, these times are volatile, disruptive, and tumultuous but can eventually lead to brighter days through better ways. This Sunday allows us to put any finishing touches on the tidying up, straightening, and alterations we might have made over the weekend to our environment. As the day unfolds, we might be willing to seek out good times, fun adventures, and venues in which to express our creativity. We might have to spend the morning hours in working it, but the afternoon and evening encourages play time and enjoyment.
