Without concentrated effort, we could instead feel on overwhelm, find ourselves dithering about and virtually going in circles, racing around but liable to achieve very little.

The mid-part of the week into the latter part of the week may have us engaged in social occasions.
Sundown on Thursday begins the eight days of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights celebrating the miraculous burning of light for eight days despite there only being enough oil for one day’s lighting.
Whether the Jewish festival or the winter solstice or the Christian celebration of Christmas, this month of December accentuates the light and the power of spirit over matter.
The weekend might prove edgy. Shopping and social obligations can be on our schedule, and we could feel as though we need to gird our loins to engage the hustle and bustle. Other people may prefer staying home, enjoying quiet time, and avoiding the hurly-burly of these holidays.
Monday, December 4th – Sublime or Ridiculous – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Mars, Lunar Grand Trine, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus Scorpio. Monday has the Virgo Moon triggering both a Grand Trine in the Earth Element and a two-day T-Square in the Mutable Qualities. The Moon trines Mercury in Capricorn and the Moon trines Jupiter in Taurus for the Grand Trine, and the Moon opposes Saturn in Pisces and squares Mars in Sagittarius for today’s T-Square. Venus exits its own Sign of Libra and enters Scorpio [1:51 PM EST], a Sign of Detriment for Venus. Monday starts the week with the liability of a bungee-like jump springing forward with great enthusiasm only to be pulled back by ill-conceived actions. The volatility of these times might be evident in our experiences on this Monday. On the one hand, we can be highly competent and effective in all our endeavors. On the flip side, we may be anxious and frazzled as we try to do too much without careful consideration of what we are doing and how we could be doing things more effectively. Time management skills are called for with a willingness to strategically plan our course of action, always with an understanding that plans can change dramatically in a nanosecond or less. Losing the Venus transit of Libra that might have made our relationships more amenable and accommodating, the entry of Venus into Scorpio is liable to give people a sharp edge where jealousy, envy, possessiveness, and secrecy taint our interactions with other people. This Monday and tomorrow’s Tuesday suggests we slow things down and not have us get caught up in the frenzy of the sales marketing tactics of these holidays.
Tuesday, December 5th – Ain’t Over ‘Til it’s Over – Lunar T-Square, Sun, Uranus, Venus, Saturn. Tuesday continues with the Virgo Moon and with it a continuation of the Lunar T-Square that began yesterday. Today, the Virgo Moon squares the Sun in the early morning hours with the Moon opposed Neptune in the early morning hours of Wednesday. The Moon trines Uranus, and Venus trines Saturn. With the liability of our being somewhat scattered, it would be wise for us to draw upon the input and suggestions of someone detached from our situation who can provide an objective perspective and a practical approach that we could then utilize in successfully accomplishing our endeavors. This is a good day for us to reconnect with old friends or people with whom we have been out of touch. The holidays are a time when we can participate in various social activities and when we make the time to catch up with friends and relatives. We do need to take things down a notch or two and not get enmeshed in the frenzy of the holidays. Monday and Tuesday are liable to be two frantic days, but things can simmer down the rest of the week.
Wednesday, December 6th – Finishing Touches, Spiritual Awakening – Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Neptune direct. Wednesday begins with the Virgo Moon completing its two-day Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Neptune just before Neptune turns direct [8:20 AM EST]. The Moon trines Pluto, and then the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over two and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra where late tonight the Libra Moon squares Mercury. This is a day for us to complete certain important matters. The distractions and the diversions of the past two days that may have had us in a frenzy die down. We get more grounded and are better able to take a practical approach to the significant matters to which we need to attend. With Neptune turning direct in its own Sign of Pisces, we are more attuned to our spiritual nature. Our sensitivity may be increased, and we could more fully embrace the spirit of this season. With the Pisces Sign accentuated, we might experience heightened emotions with major mood swings. There can also be greater water issues with storm systems of rain or snow dumping extreme precipitation.
Thursday, December 7th – Let There Be Light – Mars, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter. Thursday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today sextile both Mars and the Sun both in Sagittarius. Mercury trines Jupiter. As if a veil had been lifted, we might see the future brighter than the way we’ve viewed it over the past few months. We can feel more upbeat, optimistic, and confident that a pivot point has taken us from a dystopian future into a fulfilling and idyllic time to come. We may not be totally aware as to how to get from here to there, but we are likely to accept that our personal destiny is more one of awakening and ascension than one of despair. Sundown today is also the beginning of the Jewish festival of Hanukkah, a celebration of Light over darkness commemorating the time when enough oil to burn for one day miraculously burned for eight days. This month has various holidays celebrating the victory of light over darkness — Hanukkah, the Winter Solstice, and Christmas. This day provides the impetus for us to put our spirit into action. With an increased appreciation of our own spirit and soul, we can also take a practical approach in all our matters. If we are doing holiday shopping today, we might decide to research our intended purchase before going ahead and buying.
Friday, December 8th – Other than Self – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday has the Moon in Libra with the Moon square Pluto late in the day before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for two and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio towards the end of the day. This Friday is best served considering the interests of other people. Spending time with our friends and loved ones, whether in person, by text, or on the phone might be more appealing than dealing with what needs to get done. There is not a great deal of energy today in sharp contrast to the beginning of this week. If we could take things down a notch or two on this Friday, it would be suggested. Let’s enjoy the company of someone, give thought to what other people are interested in, and use this day to catch our breath. While social obligations may demand our attendance, there are times when we just need to ‘grin and bear it’. This Friday evening may be one of those times.
Saturday, December 9th – More or Less – Saturn, Venus, Jupiter, Mercury. Saturday has the Scorpio Moon trine Saturn, the Moon conjunct Venus, the Moon opposed Jupiter, and the Moon sextile Mercury. The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm are in opposition as Venus opposes Jupiter. Saturday calls for proper planning, budgeting our resources, and a clear trajectory for the day. This day can be evident of either – or, a tendency of more or less, or in other words a caroming between extremes. We could be all in on holiday shopping, possibly to the extent of excess and being overgenerous with weighty costs involved. Or we might scotch the whole thing and decide that the commercialization of the holidays is just too much, especially if we are feeling the restrictions on our finances imposed by the increased costs of inflation. Perhaps we may realize that less is more and that our gift giving is appreciated not so much for the cost of the item but for the value of the thought given to the present. Although the marketing gurus will entice us and taunt us to be out in the malls, shop online, or other ways to beguile us into buying stuff in lock step with the selling of these holidays, many people may have reached their saturation point and look instead to a quieter, more genuine expression of these holidays. Time spent with family and friends could prove far more intimate than surrounding ourselves with a greater accumulation of stuff. But the liability of either – or can today be seductive, so if we do go shopping, it would be wise to keep the receipts in case we or the gifted ones decide to return the purchased items.
Sunday, December 10th – Down Time – Uranus, Neptune. Sunday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today opposed Uranus and the Moon trine Neptune. This is a day when it would be wise for us to step off the track, take things down a notch or two, and enjoy the comforts of home. Even if we have grand plans for this Sunday, unexpected developments might crimp our intentions. We may even witness the truth to the saying: “if you want to make god laugh, tell god your plans.” Although we can experience disruptions to whatever we had planned for this day, we could also discover truth to the saying that “god and the universal forces have far greater plans for us than we could have conceived for ourselves.” This Sunday suggests we engage key characteristics to successfully navigate this day and these times of the paradigm shift: flexibility and adaptability. By being open to shifts and changes to our trajectory, we might come to realize that we do not have to make it hard on ourselves but rather that there are more effective ways and better uses of our time. Instead of being out and about in the frenzy of these holidays, we could use this day to take down time and add sparkle to the sanctuary of our home. The evening hours can be pleasant encounters with family and friends.
