The astrology for this week of November 9th through the 15th of 2020 can have us looking for better ways and either with people who are on our same page or by our willingness to go it alone.
Relationships can prove dicey this week with the pulls between our own self-interests and the interests of someone else. People are more interested in being with people who share their interests, their opinions, and their perspective on the world.
We could all have a narcissistic tendency this week, a week that has various shifts and changes culminating with the Scorpio New Moon late on Saturday, early on Sunday.
Everyone may be somewhat critical of the way things are and looking for a better way.
The early part of the week could have us industrious, but we do have to avoid dustups with anyone. Let’s hope that we all can gain some civility after the intensity of the election and amidst the disruptive nature of these times.
Escapism and a desire for our own alone time might be our prescription to address our anxieties and our irritations with other people.
We are likely to be our own best cheerleader, appreciative of our abilities and touting our accomplishments. We may not need the applause of other people, applause that to our ears is liable to sound muted.
The end of the week has Mars ending its two-month retrograde cycle and turning direct. We might feel a thrust of energy with a greater thrust towards expressing our own creative talents and engaging our personal pursuits. Much of what goes on in the world may seem like static to us and we are likely to turn down the volume of outside influences.
The weekend has the Scorpio New Moon and may imprint the next two weeks with an impetus to clean up and clear out. Our inventory-taking can include our projects, our stuff, and even people within our social circle. We want to focus on our priorities and dissolve the various superfluous elements that impede our growth.
Monday, November 9th – Present Conditions, Future Intentions – Mercury, Uranus, Venus, Mars. Monday begins the day with the Leo Moon sextile Mercury before the Moon moves into Virgo where late today the Moon trines Uranus. Venus opposes Mars. Although we may have some encouraging words from someone early in the day, we are likely to seek a balance between our personal interests and the needs of someone else. This is a day when we are not looking to be hampered or restricted by the judgment of anyone else. Either the other person is with us, or we are likely to leave them behind in order for us to pursue our own direction, or own intentions. While we would prefer people to be on the same wavelength that we are, we are unwilling to capitulate, or even accommodate, to the needs of someone else. We could feel slightly insecure today, masked by narcissism or arrogance, but our insecurity can also allow us to consider options and alternatives that we have not previously taken into account. Even if we have our head down and putting one foot in front of the other, let’s keep in mind that these are magical times. Situations may seem extreme at times with things shifting suddenly and dramatically, but things can also occur in most unexpected ways. We do not have to control every situation, but it would be suggested that we be open to receive the mini-miracles that this day, and these paradigm-shifting times, could evidence. We can accomplish a lot as long as we don’t allow other people to impede our progress or that we don’t get in our own way.
Tuesday, November 10th – Head in the Clouds, Feet on the Ground – Neptune, Sun, Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury Scorpio. Tuesday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today opposed Neptune, the Moon sextile the Sun, and the Moon trine both Jupiter and Pluto both in Capricorn. The Sun trines Neptune, and Mercury exits Libra to enter Scorpio [4:55 PM EST]. We may feel guided, if we will listen to our inner voice, trust our intuition, and recognize that our path is our own personal journey. This is a day when it is essential that our increased sensitivity is combined with practical application. Foresight and persistence can go a long way in our getting a great deal done. The early part of this week allows us to play catch-up with various matters we might have put on the back burner or might not have accomplished adequately over the past three weeks while Mercury was going retrograde. We are still in the ‘shadow’ of the Mercury retrograde until the 19th when Mercury reaches the degree at which Mercury turned retrograde back in October. This Tuesday allows us to contemplate what we are doing and intend to do before setting out on our course. By continually evaluating and re-evaluating as we go along, we can effectively and successfully navigate the currents, no matter the changes that might occur along the way. With Mercury in Scorpio, our mind can be a great deal sharper with the ability to penetrate the images and appearances to get to the heart of the matter. Our communications may be more concise and succinct with a tendency for us to hold our cards close to our chest. We are not willing to express our thoughts if they are liable to fall upon deaf ears. This is a time when we might embrace the sentiment that ‘silence is golden’.
Wednesday, November 11th – Lifting Our Hand from the Tiller – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday begins the day with the Virgo Moon trine Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra today. Monday and Tuesday may have been highly productive, certainly the energy configurations provided the impetus for us to get a lot done. Much of our involvements might have been dealing with mundane matters, and we start this Wednesday in the same mode. Tying up loose ends, dealing with what needs to get done, could be our focus in the early part of this Wednesday. The energy then shifts with the Moon moving into Libra. The Libra Moon makes no connections to the planets today, so we might find that we are either relaxing and taking time for ourselves or enjoying the camaraderie of a trusted friend. We might be looking for peace and serenity today, staying close to our happy space whether that be our personal sanctuary or the company of someone we care about. This is a day when we might seek a respite from our obligations and responsibilities. We all need those moments of catching our breath, and this Wednesday could be one of those days.
Thursday, November 12th – Moving Mountains – Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Pluto. Thursday is an interesting day of contrasts in our relationships. The Libra Moon opposes Mars early in the day, and the Libra Moon conjuncts Venus towards the end of the day. Jupiter conjuncts Pluto. This is a ‘can do’ day. We are likely to be feeling optimistic about our future, willing to put our shoulder to the wheel, and interested in going for the gold rather than for silver or bronze. We have to be wary of nay-sayers, those people that, whether consciously or unconsciously, place wrenches in the spokes of our wheels. There are two groups of people — those who see a half glass of water as half full and those who see it as half empty. There’s no time for the whiners, those people who see the negative in their lives, unwilling to lift themselves up but expect other people to do it for them. Why would we take on those parasites to drain our own energy? No, increasingly we are being asked to be selective and discerning in our choices. This day we could virtually move mountains. Our determination and persistence are likely strong and our willingness to proceed without glossing over details or neglecting the specifics indefatigable. If we have to deal with someone who could impede our movement in the morning hours, we do not have to have them trip us up. Late in the day, we can enjoy interactions with someone who is supportive and an advocate of our efforts, just as we are for them. From competition in the A.M., we may find ourselves in a more collaborative arrangement in the P.M.
Friday, November 13th – Firing our Starting Gun – Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Mars direct. Late Thursday, early Friday has the Libra Moon square the three Capricorn-transiting planets of Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio where today the Scorpio Moon conjuncts Mercury. Mars turns direct [7:36 PM EST]. Although our responsibilities are calling, we might prefer quality time with a special someone, especially someone who is on our same page. We can easily justify taking a breather if we used the first three days of the week to accomplish a great amount. As the day progresses, our mind is likely to sharpen with a tendency to reflect on what we are doing and where we are going. With Mars turning direct we may feel like we’re being shot out of a cannon. Whatever lethargy or fatigue we might have experienced the past two months can drop away as we get a transfusion of energy with the desire for us to focus on our own personal interests, on our individual goals. Our energy and the collective energy of society ratchets up and we take on a more assertive quality. Hopefully we shall channel our self-expressive energy wisely without creating too much turmoil or trouble for ourselves.
Saturday, November 14th – Focused Intent – Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Sun, Jupiter. The Scorpio Moon today opposes Uranus, the Moon trines Neptune, and the Moon sextiles Pluto. The Sun sextiles Pluto, and the Sun sextiles Jupiter. Saturday has us on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon prior to the Scorpio New Moon early tomorrow morning, late tonight. Although it is often better for us to initiate and start new projects under the waxing Moon, from New Moon to Full Moon, this Saturday would be a good day for us to complete matters, bring certain issues to conclusion and prepare for what we wish to begin in the days ahead. Our attention should be on prioritizing, prioritizing what we want to resolve and what we might wish to pursue. This would also be a day for us to clean up and clear out with a good autumnal cleanse. We do have to be wary of our finances and extremes of being too extravagant or too parsimonious. Although we are often warned that ‘the devil is in the details’, we can offset that admonition today by our focused intent and the ability to be certain that nothing falls between the cracks. Our intensity is ratcheted up, so let’s use it productively.
Sunday, November 15th – Stripping Away – Jupiter, Scorpio New Moon, Sun, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Pluto. Sunday begins with the Scorpio Moon sextile Jupiter virtually at the same time of the Scorpio New Moon [12:07 AM EST] when the Moon conjuncts the Sun to begin a new two-week cycle. The Moon sextiles Saturn, and then the Moon goes Void-of-Course for four and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon moves into Sagittarius. Venus squares Pluto. This Sunday begins a process of greater transparency, stripping away of the dross to get down to the core and the essence of our life involvements. There can be various revelations as we move beyond the Wizard of Oz screen, pull back the curtain, to see the ‘reality’ of whomever is pulling the strings. In getting to the heart of various situations, we do have to be wary of our intensity negatively impacting our relationships. Words misspoken, opinions pontificated, and any lording over could be the death knell of certain relationships. While our focus may be on a stripping away, we have to be careful that we don’t get carried away with the process whereby we could actually ‘throw the baby out with the bath water’.
