The astrology for this week of November 23rd through the 29th of 2020 heightens our mental faculties with the ability for us to pull back the curtain and figure out what is really going on.
In Hindu philosophy the veil of Maya relates to the illusions of appearance that blinds us to actual reality and keeps us from connecting with our true essence. Welcome to the earth plane!
With Mercury in Scorpio active this week, our incisiveness is engaged. We have the opportunity to disperse the clouds of narrative, of consensus opinion and of accepted beliefs and gaze instead at the brilliance of the sun and truly see what is really going on.
The week begins with our intuitive nature heightened. We may be moody, highly emotional, but astute in listening to our inner voice. Whether we participate in communal activities or have alone time, we can be deep in thought and reflection no matter the appearance of our outer expression.
The beginning of the week might seem slow starting. Like a volcano, much could be percolating for us below the surface.
As we progress into the week, we can embrace spirit into action. We may be looking at how best to initiate some of our deep-felt plans.
The mid-week period in the US has us preparing for Thanksgiving, but a Thanksgiving that might be quite out of the ordinary from our traditional Thanksgiving celebrations. Due to the imposed lockdowns and forced compliance by the authorities, many of whom engage the sentiment ‘do as I say, not as I do’, this Thanksgiving may be ‘celebrated’ solely, alone, by oneself.
Even if we are restricted to our home space, this constraint can also be a spiritual retreat, a time when we truly give thanks for all the blessings in our lives. And they are many.
As Viktor Frankl wrote in Man’s Search for Meaning: “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
With this Thanksgiving, let’s embrace the attitude of gratitude.
The latter part of the week and the weekend can be highly productive, as we focus on the truly meaningful, attend to the important, and ready ourselves for the holiday season, also liable to be one unlike many we have experienced before.
We do have to be wary of online shopping where so many enticing and appealing items could reveal themselves on our computer screen and with the ease of a click, we can confirm purchase. Let’s keep our finances in mind and try to budget our expenditures.
Monday, November 23rd – No Wool Over Our Eyes – Mercury, Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter. Monday begins the week with the Moon in Pisces and the Moon trine Mercury and the Moon conjunct Neptune early in the day. Late in the day, the Moon sextiles both Pluto and Jupiter both in Capricorn. Mercury trines Neptune. Our sensitivity is likely to be ratcheted up today. There’s no rushing about for us but perhaps the desire to take it easy, take it slow. We may be moody, but our instincts and our intuitive sense are accentuated. If we would trust our inner voice, that inner knowing that supersedes reason or empiricism, we could come up with some significant understandings. Our mind can zero in on what is truly going on. This is a good day to start off strategizing, considering the essential aspects of our activities, and making our plans to how best achieve successful results. Late in the day, we could be well prepared to start our projects with a best practices approach. Initiations may be better tomorrow, but this Monday allows us to line up our ducks in a row.
Tuesday, November 24th – Firing on All Cylinders – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun. Tuesday has the Pisces Moon sextile Saturn before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost four and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries. The Aries Moon trines the Sun. Finishing touches to our plans and concluding outstanding matters early in the day allow us to clear the decks in order for us to begin the new zodiac cycle as the Moon ends one cycle and begins a whole new cycle. The beginning of this lunar cycle has the Moon moving into Aries with an added benefit of the Moon trine the Sun. We may feel far more together, confident and upbeat as this Tuesday progresses. We are looking to put our individual stamp on our activities and projects with little hesitation or looking back. Our intuitive sense is still heightened, and this day provides us the impetus to put our spirit into action.
Wednesday, November 25th – Royal Me – Mars. The thrust of energy we might have felt on Tuesday is accelerated on this Wednesday. The Aries Moon conjuncts Mars. There may be no stopping us today. Whether we have the support or encouragement of anyone else, we have the blind optimism and indefatigable energy to push ahead with our personal projects. Who’s number one? Each of us can feel that way, and we are likely to express ourselves in a dynamic and dramatic fashion. There are few braking attempts today. Once in gear and in motion, we could be going for the gold. Everyone may be hawking their prowess, looking to be on center stage, with little interest in other people’s concerns. Not that we are looking to step on anyone’s toes today. We are far more absorbed in what we want to do, how we want to do it, and feeling regal in both our approach and our self-expressions. We might hear a great deal of self-admiration today with various people spinning their yarns of various wins and accomplishments. Let’s keep in mind that it is often the narrative rather than the true facts that are presented, so it would be wise to take anything told to us with a skeptical attitude and a Missouri slant of ‘show me’.
Thursday, November 26th – Backing Up Against Reality – Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. If yesterday had us galloping forward with little concern for details or specifics, this Thursday could have us, or the universe, pulling up hard on the reins. Today, the Aries Moon squares the three Capricorn-transiting planets of Pluto, Jupiter and Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus late on this Thursday. Today is Thanksgiving Day in the US, and despite the many anxiety-provoking situations in the world, we have much to be thankful for. One of the characteristics of these tumultuous and disruptive times is volatility, and not some subtle volatility but extreme volatility. Things can change swiftly and dramatically in virtually a nanosecond or less of time. This is both a challenge and an opportunity. We may have had all flags flying yesterday with us feeling invincible and that whatever we were doing would work out in our favor. Thursday demands that we go back over the particulars, deal with the details, and address outstanding matters. Being brash and hasty have their pushback, and this Thursday may well prove that point. It would be suggested we slow things down today, review, re-evaluate and correct any missteps. We might prefer to continue our expansive journeys, but if we don’t address mistakes now, then we could find ourselves tripped up further down the road with a greater liability to a ‘crash and burn’. By dealing with reality and our obligations today, we can avoid possible disasters later. Whether we gather together on this Thanksgiving Day or not, it would be wise that we accept the responsibility of checking in with friends and loved ones to share our appreciation for their being in our lives.
Friday, November 27th – Grounding Despite Metronome Swings – Uranus, Venus, Mercury, Pluto. Friday has the Taurus Moon conjunct Uranus, and the Moon opposed Venus. Mercury sextiles Pluto, and Venus opposes Uranus. This is Black Friday in the US, the day that kicks off the holiday shopping period with extraordinary sales, or so it is hyped. Our mind can be incisive with an ability to strip away the superfluous and get to the core of any matter. Our communications may be concise and to the point. A little diplomacy might be called for, since expressing our thoughts could be rapier-like with few holds barred. Relationships and our finances can be precarious today. A liability to impulse both in our discussions and with our purchases cannot be discounted. This is a day when we are likely to act in a hasty, spontaneous manner with the consequence of buyer’s or speaker’s remorse later. I suggest we slow things down, take the time to plan our day, focus on the truly meaningful, and not be pulled into difficult situations where thoughtless actions could wreak damage to our relationships or to our financial position. Despite the whirl-a-gig quality of this day, we need to stay grounded and not get swept up in the frenzy of the moment. Things may come about unexpectedly, so let’s keep aware and vigilant regarding the possible incoming. Friday could seem a time when it is important for us to expect the unexpected.
Saturday, November 28th – Feeling Groovy – Neptune, Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter, Neptune direct. Saturday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today sextile Neptune, and the Moon trine Pluto. Mercury sextiles Jupiter, and Neptune turns direct. Saturday may be one of those days when we are guided by our intuition and can put things in their proper perspective. We are likely to feel upbeat, optimistic and confident about our life and our various involvements. The attitude of ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’ could permeate our day. We might accomplish a great deal today, and even chores may seem like pleasant respites from our daily routine. Whether we have enjoyed a long holiday break with Thanksgiving, or we have been tied to our usual habits, this Saturday can have us looking at the world, and our personal realm, with greater understanding and appreciation for what the universe has handed us. This week has had our mind and our thoughts highly attuned, thanks to the Mercury trine Neptune to begin the week, followed by Mercury sextiling the Capricorn-transiting planets, culminating on this coming Monday with Mercury sextile Saturn, on the same day as the Gemini Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse. This quality of acute perception has been enhanced today and tomorrow with the Taurus Moon trining the three Capricorn-transiting planets. We are having the opportunity of establishing solid foundations for our goals and future plans.
Sunday, November 29th – Goldilocks Syndrome – Jupiter, Mercury, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday has the Taurus Moon opposed Mercury, and the Moon trine both Jupiter and Saturn both in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini. We all know the story of Goldilocks where she found things not enough, too much, and finally got it just right. We might be feeling that way on this Sunday. Although this day allows us to finish up what could have been a highly productive two days, we have to be wary of trying to do too much on this Sunday. A liability towards extravagance can be magnified by holiday jingles, sales promotions, and our rationale of spending on ourselves and other people as a way to assist the beleaguered economy. If don’t go off on a shopping blitz, either in person at the mall or online with our fingers scrolling and clicking away online, we could use this day to tie up loose ends, complete outstanding matters, and prepare ourselves for the increased frenzy of the next few days with the Gemini Moon and tomorrow’s Gemini Full Moon.
