The astrology for this week of November 16th through the 22nd of 2020 under the influence of this past weekend’s Scorpio New Moon demands that we keep our wits about us and maintain diplomacy in our interactions with other people.
This week has the last two of three aspects of Venus square Capricorn-transiting planets with Venus square Jupiter on Monday, and Venus square Saturn on Thursday.
We may be full of beans as we start the week. Excess is possible with all of its accoutrements of extravagance, braggadocio and extreme expenditure of energy.
We are cautioned to be careful, especially with the liable screwups thanks to Mercury opposed Uranus early in the week. Communications can be off. We could suffer computer and Internet problems. And we’re dealing with my least favorite energy configuration for travel, especially air travel.
While we start the week with a flurry of activity, we could get a little more serious around mid-week.
By focusing our attention and prioritizing our activities, we can bring various issues to closure and rid ourselves of extraneous matters. We may have to keep our head down, concentrate on what we are doing, and not get sidetracked by someone’s intrusion.
The mid-week period might be highly productive. Work then play can be our sentiment, for as we come to the end of the week and over the weekend, we could become more interested in our alternatives, options and possibilities. Once we deal with what needs to get done, even with our nose to the grindstone, we can look up and see what our future involvements might be.
The weekend has two significant shifts in energy, both on Saturday. Venus exits Libra, a Sign that Venus rules, to enter Scorpio, where Venus is in Detriment. The Sun exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius.
If we have encountered difficulties in our relationships these past two weeks, as we move forward, we might be far more selective in our choices as to whom we wish to engage and people from whom we choose to disengage.
We might feel as though a weight has been lifted from our shoulders. As if letting go of the burdensome, we can now fly high and see life as far brighter and far more beautiful.
Monday, November 16th – Flying High – Mars, Neptune, Venus, Jupiter. Monday begins the week with the Sagittarius Moon trine Mars, and the Moon square Neptune. The two ‘good guys’ of the planetary realm have Venus square Jupiter. We may feel totally in control of our life’s situations or that we should be. With the thrust of energy from the Scorpio New Moon this past weekend and Mars turning direct last week, our energy may be indefatigable and our intentions unstoppable. Narcissism and arrogance are the twin nemeses that can lead us down the garden path, trip us up and bring our greatest efforts crashing down. This Monday calls for us to harness our enthusiasm and confidence and have a plan of action before starting off the day. Otherwise, we could feel as though we are able to conquer the world but unsure of our direction with the final result being our spinning our wheels, wasting our energy, and going around in circles. Why go there when tempering our optimism with a rational approach might prove far more productive and ultimately more successful?
Tuesday, November 17th – Blocks of Salt – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Uranus. Early Tuesday morning we continue with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon sextile Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eight and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn today. The kicker to this Tuesday though is the Mercury opposed Uranus, one of my least favorite energy configurations for communications, computer issues, and travel, especially air travel. We could be feeling on something of a ‘high’ as we start this Tuesday. Life is good, and we might engage someone in conversation who stokes our ‘feel good’ sentiments. While being upbeat may be a welcome relief from all the fear mongering and anxiety generated over the past many months, we are not immune from some monkey wrenches thrown at the spokes of our wheels today. Communications can be off. This Mercury opposed Uranus configuration today is the third go-round for this cycle. Mercury opposed Uranus back on the 7th of October, did so again on the 19th of October, and here we are one more time on the 17th of November. Whatever unexpected news we received around any of these two previous times may provide more of a reveal today. While transparency could disclose information that was more behind the scenes, whatever we hear or see today we should take with a grain of salt, no more likely a block of salt. This is a day when computer issues can plague us, our travel plans be flummoxed, and our sense of stability and security threatened. Certain things could come out of the blue, upsetting our belief or acceptance of the way things are.
Wednesday, November 18th – Blinders Off, Brain Engaged – Uranus, Mercury, Mars, Neptune. Wednesday begins a two-day process when we could be highly effective and productive, just so long as we don’t stand in our own way. This Wednesday has the Capricorn Moon trine Uranus, the Moon sextile Mercury in Scorpio, the Moon square Mars, and the Moon sextile Neptune in Pisces. The more we can be attuned to what is going on, and not see things solely from our own personal viewpoint, the more we could use twists and turns, innovative methods and incisive techniques, to accomplish a great deal today and tomorrow. Although the paradigm shift may throw us curveballs, as we might have experienced yesterday, changing parameters also allow for an element of magic and mini-miracles to run through the course of our affairs. This Wednesday can be one of those days when we could alter our plans and find that new trajectories are far more beneficial than what we had planned for ourselves. This is a day for us to work with peripheral vision, have our antennae up and draw upon both our intuitive sense and those ‘ah-ha’ moments to streamline operations and fast forward our progress.
Thursday, November 19th – Nothing to Stand in Our Way – Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Much of the energy on this Thursday occurs in the early part of the day. The Capricorn Moon conjuncts the three Capricorn-transiting planets of Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn. The Moon squares Venus, and the Moon sextiles the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius today. The Sun sextiles Saturn, and Venus squares Saturn. This is a day for us to put nose to grindstone, address our responsibilities and tasks at hand, and accomplish a great deal. Not that we have to put on blinders, but it would be wise for us to avoid distractions and diversions that take us away from what we need to do. Yesterday and today are primo days to achieve great results. It might seem as though we are focused on the details and mundane affairs, but the details are what comprise the whole. Attending to the specifics allows us to ‘build upon rock rather than build upon sand’. Today is the last of the three Venus square Capricorn-transiting planets that have possibly put a crimp into our relationships over the past few days. Someone might remind us of our past, who we have been, how we have acted. Through the spiritual retreat that these virus contagion lockdowns have offered us, we have changed, transformed, and become more focused on our essence than our superficialities. We are not interested in someone’s emotional drama or their tireless bemoaning of life circumstance. This is a time when each of us is asked to take machete in hand, carve our own path, all the while that we are directed by our guiding star and our inner voice.
Friday, November 20th – Pachinko – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Mercury, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday has the Aquarius Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon square Uranus in Taurus, and the Moon square Mercury in Scorpio. The Moon sextiles Mars before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over twenty-seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces late on Saturday. This day could have us caroming from one thing to another and not getting a whole lot done. Talk about spinning our wheels! Whatever screwups we might have experienced on Tuesday, when Mercury opposed Uranus, may be revisited on this Friday. Our plans can fall apart, things can be delayed, so it would be important for us to be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstance. If we try to push forward with our plans without allowing for alterations, we might feel as though we are pushing against the current, and we are liable to be doing so. Some people may be looking to get away for a week-long Thanksgiving holiday. If traveling, let’s add on extra time and be prepared for delays or disruptions. Contingency plans may be called for. Let’s also keep track of our finances and restrain impulse purchases. Curveballs could be thrown at us today, but we don’t have to fall into a victim mode. On the contrary, this Friday may be a day when similar to Dodgeball we ‘dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge’. After what could be a frustrating day, the evening hours are best suited for fun events and lively conversations.
Saturday, November 21st – Shifting Sands – Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Venus Scorpio, Sun Sagittarius. Saturday begins with the Aquarius Moon Void-of-Course which continues for most of this day with the Moon making no connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon moves into Pisces at the end of the day. The Pisces Moon squares the Sun, which today exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius [3:40 PM EST]. Venus exits its own Sign of Libra and enters Scorpio [8:22 AM EST], a Sign of Detriment for Venus. There may not be a great deal of energy today, although we are likely to feel the dramatic shifts from these two Sign changes. Relationships and our way of relating to other people are liable to be more possessive, even jealous. We might decide to focus on certain people or to withdraw from some social occasions. While relationships could prove dicey, over the past week relationships might have been difficult with Venus in Libra squaring the three Capricorn-transiting planets. Now we are likely to be more choosey with whom we spend time, with times of our being more comfortable alone, doing our own thing, than accommodating other people’s interests or compromising our own wishes. The Sun moving into Sagittarius can have us feeling expansive, more upbeat, and spreading our wings with us unwilling to let any wing-clippers bring us down.
Sunday, November 22nd – Right Place, Right Time – Venus, Uranus. The Pisces Moon trines Venus early in the day, and the Moon sextiles Uranus. Although we are likely to be feeling more upbeat, we are also more selective regarding the person or people with whom we want to spend time. A connection today can be very heartfelt with the sense that we are spending time with our soulmate. This Sunday can be a highly pleasant day of contemplating the wonders of the world, the blessings in our lives. We might decide to do something on the spur of the moment which could develop into a wonderful surprising event. This is a day for us to be receptive, to enjoy ourselves and be open to the magic and the mini-miracles of these times. This Sunday may not be an earth-shattering day, but it is likely to be highly pleasant with an appreciation that we don’t always have to make things happen but rather that things can occur in a most unexpected manner by our just being open and willing to receive. The question is whether we are on the right track of our lives, being in the right place at the right time.
