The astrology for this week of October 26th through the 1st of November of 2020 gives us the last full week of this Mercury retrograde, two Sign changes, and the Taurus Full Moon that suggests we expect the unexpected.
The week begins slowly. We may be in a contemplative mood, reflecting on what has been and considering a myriad of possibilities for our future. Monday and Tuesday suggest we take the time to plan our movements and to tie up loose ends of outstanding matters. Adept time management skills and innovative means can streamline our operations.
Tuesday has both Mercury and Venus entering Libra, with Venus exiting Virgo to advance into its own Sign of Libra and with Mercury retrograding out of Scorpio and back into Libra.
We could feel a thrust of energy mid-week, but I would suggest we not rush headlong into anything. Even if we feel as if we have a head of steam, it would be wise for us not to get in our own way. Narcissism and entitlement are two characteristics that can provoke self-sabotage. Let’s not go there.
Mid-week through the end of the week might have us thrashing around like the proverbial bull in a china shop. We may be impetuous to the point of recklessness.
The weekend has Halloween on Saturday, also the day of the Taurus Full Moon. Our security and stability are liable to be shaken up, and the question arises as to whether this time offers us a treat or a trick.
We end the week with the end to daylight savings time on Sunday, as we increasingly feel the diminishment of the light and the encroaching darkness of the coming winter. We may feel thrown off balance, but over the recent months we have had the opportunity of testing our abilities to get back up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again.
Monday, October 26th – In the Quiet, Sudden Revelations – Uranus. Monday begins the week with the Pisces Moon sextile Uranus. There is not a great deal of physical energy to start the week and that might prove a good thing. With a sense of a lull we are likely to be more receptive to the unexpected. This is a day for us to take off our blinders and consider various alternatives to what we are doing and how we are doing it. Moments of reflection can provide remarkable insights. Being open to the magic of these times, despite what seems incredibly tumultuous and disruptive, we could become aware of options that we have not been privy to. Often in the quiet of our own thoughts, nickels drop, and we realize solutions to perplexing problems and are provided guidance even when we are unable to figure things out. The universe works, magic is afoot, and all we have to do is to be open in order to receive the understanding and answers to our way forward. This is not a day to rush the river but to trust in the natural unfolding, an unfolding that may seem inexplicable at times. We are in a paradigm shift from sequential, linear reality into the asequential reality where things can occur in a most bizarre manner. Welcome to the magic of the new world order.
Tuesday, October 27th – Balance Within the Maelstrom – Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury Libra, Venus Libra. Whether we received some ‘ah-ha’ moments yesterday or not, this Tuesday allows us to put our spirit into action. Our intuitive sense can be harnessed into practical and productive efforts. The Pisces Moon today conjuncts Neptune, and the Moon sextiles the three Capricorn-transiting planets of Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course late in the day for eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries early on Wednesday morning. Mercury exits Scorpio and retrogrades back into Libra [9:33 PM EDT], while Venus exits Virgo to enter its own Sign of Libra [9:41 PM EDT]. We might feel moody and emotional as we start this Tuesday. Although the craziness of these times can be highly disconcerting, it is essential that we not give into fear or anxiety but rather recognize truth to the wise saying that ‘we never get more than we can handle’. If we accept that everything works out the way that is intended, then we may be able to embrace our ability to navigate the currents effectively and successfully. This Tuesday is a day when we could accomplish a great deal with our focus on what we need to get done. We might go over things we thought once resolved to tweak or finally complete certain matters, and we can use this day to tie up various loose ends of outstanding issues. The movement of Mercury and Venus into the Cardinal Air Sign re-engages a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Libran planets square the Capricorn-Transiting planets and opposed to Mars in Aries. We might feel impelled to initiate various projects, but let’s keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde. Anything started now needs to be done with eyes wide open and fully aware to the liability of certain missing components or the possible need, once Mercury turns direct next week, to rework or reconfigure anything that we start now. A plus of this entry into Libra is a more collaborative interest. People might, with emphasis on the might, be more receptive to other people’s viewpoint and possibly less belligerent regarding their own position. We are not ‘islands unto ourselves’. We really need to respect the viewpoint other people, even if we believe them to be dangerously ignorant.
Wednesday, October 28th – Test of Time – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus. Wednesday begins with the Void-of-Course Moon with the Moon completing its transit of Pisces without any further connections to the planets. The Moon then moves into Aries where today the Moon opposes Venus. While we might get a thrust of energy as the day begins, we have to be wary of being a little too self-assertive. We could suffer the liability of stepping on someone’s toes. This is a day for us to seek collaboration and accommodation with other people. Otherwise, we may have a back and forth of dealing with our own personal interests only to be pulled by the needs of someone else. In astrology, we recognize hat we learn about the ‘shadow’ side of our self, that part which we know least about our self, through our interactions with other people. This Wednesday could be one of those days, as we try to walk the balance beam between what we want and what someone else wants. This is not a day to either capitulate to the whims of someone or to overpower the concerns of someone. This issue of balance between self and other can continue through the third week of November. The more we can get a handle on how best to engage our relationships, the less confrontations are liable to incur.
Thursday, October 29th – More Roar Than Bite – Mars, Jupiter. Thursday continues with the Aries Moon with the Moon today conjunct Mars and the Moon square Jupiter late in the day. We may be gung-ho, but due diligence might be lacking. We are more interested in being center stage, number one, doing our own thing and lauding our self as we do it. Even if our audience is an audience of one, our self, we are likely to be appreciative of our efforts. We may not be focused on the details or the specifics. Instead, we are involved with the hoopla, putting our personal mark on whatever we do. Narcissism and the sense of entitlement could taint our efforts today. We might be oblivious to the errors of our way. Once launched forward, we are liable to go quickly and forcefully without re-evaluating along the way and checking whether we have covered all necessary details and are actually on our right track. No matter how productive or effective we might be, the evening hours can convince us that no one could do it better. This is a day when we may have the roar of a lion without the critical analysis to do things well and successfully.
Friday, October 30th – Mischief Night – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Saturn, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday is Mischief Night, the day before Halloween, and this day could have us creating much mischief, but especially for our self. This Friday continues with the Aries Moon with the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square both Pluto and Saturn both in Capricorn and the Moon opposed Mercury in Libra. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus later in the day. Since Wednesday, we may have been somewhat full of ourselves, focused on our personal interests with little concern as to how our actions impacted other people and with our doing things in a rather cavalier manner. This lack of care, all the while thinking that we are outstanding in whatever we are doing, could be our undoing. Not only can we annoy certain people, but our sloppiness with our projects could demand some reworking once we come to our senses or Mercury ends its three-week retrograde cycle next week. Arrogance could put blinders on our eyes, have us see only what we want to see, and believe that we are actually accomplishing things. A little humility is called for.
Saturday, October 31st – In the Fun House – Taurus Full Moon, Sun, Uranus. Saturday is Halloween, and despite the fact that society’s protocol of cancel culture is liable to have dampened the traditional celebrations for this day, the energy configurations may provide us with evidence of trick or treat. This Saturday has the Taurus Full Moon [10:49 AM EDT] with the Moon opposed the Sun, the Moon conjunct Uranus, and the Sun opposed Uranus. At various amusement parks, there had often been the Fun House, an entertainment venue of sharply sloping floors, a myriad of mirrors, and other elements to disorient, confuse and challenge, all in the name of fun. Welcome to the universe’s Fun House. Things may be more than a little askew today. Unexpected situations could prove costly. Whatever we have planned for this Saturday might not come to fruition. This day demands that we maintain awareness, be mindful, and virtually have eyes in the back of our head. Nothing can be taken for granted today, and any sort of curveball could come out from the blue. This is a day to proceed carefully, intelligently, and with respect for these times which call for us to expect the unexpected. Things nowadays can change in a nanosecond, and we could witness such an occurrence on this Saturday. Happy Halloween.
Sunday, November 1st – Trust in the Process – Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury. We may have been thrown for a loop yesterday. One of the challenges, truly a gift, of these times is our being shaken up, forcing us out of our complacency, and opening us up to the reality of the paradigm shift, the movement from linear, sequential reality into asequential reality where things can occur in a random and most unexpected manner. Once we are forced to seeing things from a different, even more ‘realistic’, perspective, we have the opportunity of working with new parameters, different conditions, and aligning with vastly changed circumstances. No matter what occurred yesterday, Halloween, whether for us a trick or a treat, this Sunday provides the energy for us to be highly productive and successful in our endeavors. All we have to do is trust in the process and trust in our abilities to successfully navigate through the currents of these times. This Sunday has the Taurus Moon sextile Neptune, and the Moon trine the three Capricorn-transiting planets of Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for seven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini early on Monday morning. Mercury squares Saturn. While we might have been thrown off square one yesterday with the added upset of daylight savings time ending today, we can right ourselves and focus on our priorities. We may accomplish a great deal today, but we do have to be wary of any naysayers. There are people who see life like a half glass of water with some people seeing the glass as half full and others seeing it as half empty. Although some people may say that we are moving into greater darkness, a dystopia for our future, why go there when the evidence suggests that the disruptive and tumultuous times provide a necessary shaking up in order to enter a more glorious and bright future? Today is a day to accomplish and be productive, all with the recognition that we are still operating through a Mercury retrograde. Let’s keep in mind, always bear in mind, the truth to the wise saying that ‘we never get more than we can handle’. Besides, we signed up for living in these exciting times.
