The astrology for this week of October 19th through the 25th of 2020 can have us in overdrive as we seek out greener pastures for ourselves.
The week begins in a high intensity mode. We are under the influence of this past Friday’s New Moon with the T-Square in Cardinal Signs and the Mercury retrograde.
Our thrust of energy as we start the week may have no bounds and is liable to be egged on by someone advocating for us and inflating our enthusiasm. If we are not cautious in how we proceed and where we are going and maintain a semblance of humility and mindfulness, then we could create great difficulty for ourselves by our haste and by being unaware of unexpected situations upsetting our plans.
The early part of the week calls for us to apply braking action to avoid our being a runaway train.
A saving grace this week would be drawing upon the input of a detached confidante who could provide a strategic and adept sounding board for our intentions. We may not see things clearly, but someone else might help us adjust our perspective so that we can take on a more realistic approach to our goals.
Although we shall still be under the influence of the Mercury retrograde and this past week’s New Moon, we break some of the impact of the Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon exits Libra to enter Scorpio on Thursday.
Our intensity may ratchet up, our tendency to hold our cards close to our chest increase, and we might be more questioning of other people’s intentions.
The weekend is a good time for us to focus on our future, enjoy ourselves in pleasant diversions, and have some time to reflect on where we are going and why we are proceeding in those directions.
Monday, October 19th – Tapping the Brakes – Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Uranus. Monday begins the week with the Moon entering Sagittarius. We may be feeling upbeat, but the Sagittarius Moon today makes no connections to the planets. The intensity of the day is fueled by Mars square Jupiter, Venus trine Jupiter, and Mercury opposed Uranus to end the day. We could be in an expansive mood today, willing to push the envelope all with the support and encouragement of someone who assures us that we can do what we set out to do, no matter how outlandish our plans might seem. This is a day when it is essential that we tap the brakes as we proceed and take times to evaluate and reevaluate what we are doing and where we are going. We could get such a head of steam as we begin the day that there is no stopping us unless we are willing to stop ourselves. This day has one of my least favorite aspects for travel, and especially air travel, but can also impact communications, technology, and receptions. Mercury opposed Uranus may have a flood of thoughts and ideas but could be such a high energy frequency that is difficult to bring down to the lower frequency of the earth plane. Let’s be cautious about our ideas and our intentions and not get carried away by our narcissism, other people’s encouragement or by our own wrong thinking. If we don’t take ‘time outs’ today, we could be setting ourselves for a maddening merry-go-round tomorrow.
Tuesday, October 20th – Round About – Mars, Sun, Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Venus. Tuesday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today trine Mars and the Moon sextile the Sun. The Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Neptune in Pisces and the Moon square Venus in Virgo. We might be full of ourselves on this Tuesday, confident, energized, but also liable to be self-absorbed. We may want to do our own thing, more likely many things, on this Tuesday. While proper planning and focused scheduling for this day are suggested, we are liable to go off blithely, assuming that what we want and the way that we want will be the way that it is. Nice concept, but the reality of our insistence on our desires might have us ending up going around in circles or traipsing through a maze of various diversions and distractions. Monday and Tuesday need us to get a grip on our myopic viewpoint, broaden our vision to see the bigger picture of how our activities will impact not only ourselves but other people and with a recognition of the law of unintended consequences, a law that seems increasingly strong during this paradigm shift into asequential reality.
Wednesday, October 21st – Getting Real – Mercury, Uranus, Venus, Pluto. Wednesday has the Moon moving into Capricorn. Wednesday and Thursday can be the most productive days of this week. We are less likely to go off the rails due to an inflated self-appreciation and more likely to be seriously focused on attending to our responsibilities. Wednesday has the Capricorn Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon trine Uranus. Venus continues its aspects to the Capricorn-transiting planets with Venus trine Pluto. We had Venus trine Jupiter on Monday, Venus trine Pluto today, and Venus trine Saturn on Saturday. Today and tomorrow allow us to accomplish a great deal. We seem more attentive to our tasks at hand but also able to successfully achieve our plans by utilizing streamlined methodologies and by drawing upon the wise counsel of a trusted confidante. Unlike Monday or Tuesday, we are less likely to be racing around before figuring out what we need to do. On the contrary, today’s energies allow us to prioritize our activities, schedule our day with time management skills, and realize our intention by working smarter rather than harder.
Thursday, October 22nd – Keep It Going – Mars, Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto Venus, Sun Scorpio. Thursday is the 22nd, the number in numerology that indicates the master builder. And so it can be today. Similar to numerology where master numbers either live up to their mastery or are brought down to their lower common denominator, this day astrologically offers us the opportunity to continue to get a great deal done, if we don’t get too full of ourselves and grandstand our efforts rather than having our nose to the grindstone. The Moon continues its transit of Capricorn with the Moon today square Mars, the Moon sextile Neptune in Pisces, the Moon sextile Venus in Virgo, and the Moon conjunct Jupiter and Pluto. The Sun completes its transit of Libra, ending the Cardinal Sign T-Square, although its impact is likely to continue due to the New Moon imprint back on the 16th with its influence up to the Full Moon on the 31st. The Sun enters Scorpio [7:00 PM EDT]. Wednesday and Thursday provide the impetus for us to deal with our responsibilities, plan out a best practices approach to achieve our goals, but insists upon our determination and perseverance to do so. We do need to keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde demanding that we check and re-check as we proceed to be certain that we haven’t left out significant details or glossed over pertinent matters.
Friday, October 23rd – Rolling the Boulder – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Mercury. In the early morning hours of Friday, the Capricorn Moon conjuncts Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius. The Aquarius Moon squares both the Sun and Mercury both in Scorpio. Our Thursday efforts might last well into the evening hours and early morning hours of Friday as we diligently focus on what we need to get done. While Wednesday and Thursday may have felt like greased wheels, although with a great deal of lubricating from our concentrated involvement, Friday could feel as though the wheels have come off. Part of our problem might be our tendency to look to the future and be more involved in what we want to do rather than attending to our daily activities. Future plans may come with a heavy cost, and this Friday is a day to watch our expenditures. We can be either extravagant or parsimonious to a fault, putting out too much or not enough to be effective. Plans made may lack the necessary components, and we might make our decisions more from our desires and our emotions rather than well-reasoned analysis. Taking time to step away and have some ‘alone’ time should be considered. While we might be pulled into social engagements, we are unlikely to reveal everything that is going on with us.
Saturday, October 24th – Connections with Solid Hands on the Tiller – Uranus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn. Saturday continues with the Aquarius Moon with the Moon square Uranus in the early morning hours, and the Moon sextiles Mars in the late afternoon. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twenty-three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces late on Sunday. Venus completes this week’s aspects to the three Capricorn-transiting planets with Venus trine Saturn today. Impetuousness could get the better of us as we start this Saturday. No matter what we have scheduled for the day, we are liable to blow off our plans in order to be spontaneous, impulsive and do whatever catches our fancy. We do have to be wary of the expenses involved, for we might be so giddy with delight at doing whatever that we give little thought to the costs involved. We might have our head in the clouds today and our feet barely anywhere near the ground. Someone could provide a good grounding force for us with the ability to rein in our impetuousness and help us focus on what we have committed to and what needs to get done. Once set on a right course, we can virtually move mountains. Our creative interests might be peaked in the afternoon hours with a pleasant social get-together in the evening.
Sunday, October 25th – Necessary Engagements – Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Sun. Hopefully, we maintained some element of grounding yesterday, dealt with any commitments we might have had, and didn’t waste the day by being solely impulsive. This Sunday may be a day for us to relax, luxuriate and not feel compelled to do much except recharge our batteries. The day begins with the Moon still Void-of-Course with the Aquarius Moon making no connections to the planets today. Late in the day, the Moon moves into Pisces where towards the end of the day the Moon trines both Mercury and the Sun both in Scorpio. The Sun conjuncts Mercury today. Spending time with a special someone or just having some alone time may be our choice for much of this day. We are not looking to set the world on fire, more likely contemplating and reflecting on what is going on. This Sunday can be a day for us to catch our breath and a pleasant interlude amidst all the crazy-making antics going on out in the world-at-large. Increasingly, it is essential that we create sanctuaries for ourselves, both external comforting environments and a strong inner peace. This Sunday can be one of those days to work on and develop our personal sanctuaries. We may need times of solace as the craziness is likely to ratchet up even more so over the next few weeks and in the months ahead.
