The astrology for this week of September 28th through the 4th of October of 2020 gives us the opportunity to ‘straighten up and fly right’.
The last two planets in the Stellium of three Capricorn-transiting planets turn from retrograde to direct motion this week — Saturn on Tuesday, and Pluto on Sunday.
Retrograde motion turns the energy of that planet more internalized with greater difficulty in outward expression.
The week begins with us in a moody, highly emotional state. We might want to enjoy ourselves, have a good time, but we could feel as though there are certain things we need to get done instead. Both our responsibilities and imposed restrictions can have us banging our head against the wall, giving us a sense of being held victim to circumstance rather than masters of our domain.
Even if we feel blocked by conditions, let’s not forget the paradigm shift in which we are operating. We are constantly being asked to realize that we are not in total control of life situations [as if we ever were] but rather co-creators with the universal unfolding during volatile and most disruptive times.
While our stability and security could feel shaken up, the dynamic of these times allows things to change dramatically and drastically in a nanosecond of time.
If we find ourselves bucking against the tides, the result may only be exhausting and frustrating ourselves. By acknowledging the present reality, we could actually work with situations by visualizing a best practices approach with successful conclusions and then implementing ‘right action’.
The Aries Full Moon on Thursday introduces us to the month of October. The push pulls between our own personal interests and those of other people call for us to be collaborative, less narcissistic, looking more at the greater good rather than our own selfish wants.
Venus exits Leo to enter Virgo on Friday. In so doing, the Venus in Virgo recreates the Earth Grand Trine by Sign that we experienced from the latter part of August up to the Autumn Equinox with the Sun then transiting Virgo. Time to get practical and focused, with greater ability as Pluto turns direct on Sunday, completing the shift from retrograde to direct motion of the three Capricorn-transiting planets.
With Pluto changing direction, there can be explosions, bomb blasts, various actings out with the shift in motion. Let’s be careful out there this week and prepared for greater forward movement.
Monday, September 28th – Good Time Charlie – Venus, Mars. Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury. Monday begins the week with the Moon ending its transit of Aquarius with the Aquarius Moon opposed Venus and the Moon sextile Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon moves into Pisces where today the Pisces Moon trines Mercury. Venus trines Mars. Interactions with other people can be fun engagements. Our thoughts may be more on good times with good friends and on our future plans. As the day progresses, we can become more emotional, moody and reflective. Let’s enjoy ourselves early in the day and then focus on contemplating our right moves in dealing both with completion of certain tasks and the strategies for our way forward. Being aware of both Saturn and then Pluto turning direct this week, we might realize that there will be a greater thrust to advance our interests. Today would be well served in considering the best practices approach to accomplish our goals.
Tuesday, September 29th – Too Far, Too Fast? – Uranus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Saturn direct. Tuesday has the Pisces Moon sextile Uranus to begin the day, and the Moon sextile Jupiter to end our day. Mars squares Saturn shortly after Saturn turns direct [1:11 AM EDT], ending its almost five-month retrograde cycle. This is a day for us to avoid getting too full of ourselves with us trying to push through according to the ways we wish to proceed. On the contrary, it would be far better for us to think outside the box, utilize innovative means to advance our interests, and not allow our ego to get so self-absorbed that we negate streamlined methods and draw solely upon our brawn. This day is classic in regard to the conundrum of these times. On the one hand, we may still believe the importance of our control and mastery over situations when on the other hand we could work smarter rather than harder through using the most streamlined methods to accomplish our goals. If we rush ahead today, we can blind ourselves to possibilities that might shorten the route and could lessen our exertion. It would be wise to keep in mind that the universe is our ally and that the universal unfolding works in our favor, if we will be open to receive and not put on blinders as to the belief that we know all the right ways.
Wednesday, September 30th – Strategic Plays – Neptune, Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. This is the last day of September, also the day before the Aries Full Moon tomorrow. This Wednesday continues with the Pisces Moon, the transit of the Moon through the last Sign of the Zodiac. Today, the Pisces Moon conjuncts Neptune, and the Moon sextiles both Pluto and Saturn both in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over nine hours as the Moon completes its transit of Pisces without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Aries late in the day. This is a day when taking the time to plan our movements before setting out can pay handsome dividends in our effectiveness, productivity and successful results. We may have to put the brakes on our impetuousness and on our champing at the bit. If we can restrain ourselves, we could prioritize our activities today, complete any number of outstanding matters, and check off various tasks on our ‘to do’ list. This is a good day for completions and conclusions. We just have to be wary that we don’t get carried away with ourselves and shoot from the hip rather than engaging strategy and time management skills.
Thursday, October 1st – You and Me – Aries Full Moon, Sun. Thursday begins the month of October with the Aries Full Moon [5:05 PM EDT] as the Moon opposes the Sun. Finding the right measure of our personal interests to the interests of someone else and to other people is a balancing act. We are social animals. Although we tend to put our own self interests first, we often find that it is through collaboration with someone else or with other people that we are far more productive and successful and that our lives are more fulfilling. With each of us having suffered an enforced lockdown as a result of the virus contagion and the restrictions imposed upon us by the powers-that-be, we may feel like a caged animal and focused more on our personal needs rather than those of the collective society. This Full Moon, accentuating our passions and emotions, may be challenging our balancing act of me and you. The concept of ‘moderation in all things’ speaks to the balance between extremes, and this idea of moderation seems especially highlighted during the whipsaws we might experience at this time. Let’s be sure to pull in the reins of any impetuous action we may consider and give deep thought to how our decisions and actions can impact other people, taking into account even the liable unintended consequences of our actions. Walking the balance beam during these intensely disruptive times can be difficult at best but extremely necessary to maintain our equilibrium and avoid us from doing things that would have a nasty pushback.
Friday, October 2nd – Pushing the Envelope – Jupiter, Pluto, Mars, Venus Virgo. Friday continues with the Aries Moon with the Moon today square both Jupiter and Pluto both in Capricorn and the Moon conjunct Mars. Venus ends its transit of Leo to enter Virgo [4:48 PM EDT]. As if rushing for the exit doors in order to start our weekend, this is a day when we are liable to be in a hurry with the likelihood of glossing over situations just to get things done. Although we may have certain responsibilities and obligations to attend to, we are liable to blow them off with the justification that we can address them at some other time. We might be feeling our oats, desirous of getting out of town, spreading our wings and enjoying a greater freed-up sense than what we might have experienced for the past eight months. Despite the fact that we could be pushing the envelope today, a saving grace is Venus moving into Virgo. With Venus in Virgo we now have the Earth Grand Trine recreated with Venus in Virgo, Uranus in Taurus, and the three Capricorn-transiting planets of Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto. Through much of this month of October we could be more productive and effective in our mundane matters. But the Venus in Virgo might also increase our critical attitude towards other people. We might question what people have done for us, we may find their involvements wanting, and we are liable to see more the negatives in our relationships rather than the positives, thereby putting our connections at risk.
Saturday, October 3rd – Clean Up, Clear Out – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus. Late Saturday, early Sunday the Aries Moon squares Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost nine and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus where today the Moon trines Venus. Although we might have tried to get out of doing certain tasks yesterday, our responsibilities or projects unfinished could be hounding us as we start this Saturday. Despite the need of dealing with certain commitments today, this Saturday can actually be a highly productive day in checking off various matters on our ‘to do’ list. We might decide to straighten things, clean things up, and clear out the debris. This would be a good day for an autumn cleanup. We are interested in putting things in their right place and discarding those things that no longer serve us. This is a day for us to focus on appearance, both our personal appearance and that of our environment. We might go shopping for wardrobe or accessories with a willingness to let go of past items that need replacing. By using this day as a physical makeover, we are changing the energy and providing a symbolic thrust of a cleaner, healthier sense of ourselves.
Sunday, October 4th – Awareness Alert – Mercury, Uranus, Pluto direct. Sunday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today opposed Mercury and the Moon conjunct Uranus. The last of the three Capricorn-transiting planets turns from retrograde to direct motion as Pluto turns direct [9:32 AM]. Life is a question of balance and the ability for us to cross a narrow balance beam without falling to one side or the other. We start this day possibly feeling that we have either rid ourselves of too much, giving us a sense of lack, or that we have added something to our surroundings that on reflection just doesn’t work for us. Although we may have to make certain alterations to some of our decisions and actions today, let’s bear in mind that the paradigm shift into asequential reality opens the doors to the unexpected. Our plans may change today, so it would be wise for us to be both cautious in our movements and also willing to shift according to the prevailing conditions. There can be some explosive behavior going on today, as Pluto turns direct. Whenever Pluto changes direction, whether from direct to retrograde or from retrograde to direct motion, there is the liability of explosions and actings out. This is a day for us to be mindful and alert to what is going on around us and in the world-at-large.
