The astrology for this week of August 24th through the 30th of 2020 suggests a highly active week when we can be inspired and highly effective, so long as we don’t go into excess and we keep our feet on the ground.
This is the first full week of the Earth Grand Trine thanks to Mercury and the Sun both entering Virgo last week and consequently the Virgo-transiting planets trine Uranus in Taurus and trine the three Capricorn-transiting planets of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto.
We can certainly be productive up to the Autumn Equinox on the 22nd of September. The template of our lives may have changed dramatically as a result of the response to the virus contagion.
Even if there had not been a virus, we still would have been going through life-altering conditions. We are living during a paradigm shift, a time when we are moving out of linear, sequential reality into the asequential reality of things happening in a most inexplicable manner. In order to successfully navigate the currents of these times, we need to be flexible and adaptable and willing to shift and change as circumstances warrant.
The challenge for each of us will be to let go of our belief in our total control over our life situations — often referred to as ‘let go, let god’. The opportunity for each of us is to be open to the magic and the mini-miracles of these times, an affirmation that life is good and that the light always dispels the darkness.
This week may provide the reality of both challenge and opportunity.
The challenge begins the week with many of us champing at the bit, pushing the envelope, and wanting to do what we want to do with little consideration of either our responsibilities or the correctness of our actions. We could be impetuousness as we start the week with an attitude of being a law unto ourselves.
If we can harness and channel our energy, we could get a great deal done early in the week.
The opportunity early in the week is the likelihood of remarkable insight. Surprising news we might hear or ‘ah-ha’ moments that we may have could provide answers to perplexing problems or offer alternate ways to more successfully accomplish our goals.
Early in the week we may act like a metronome with wild swings in both our actions and in our mental processing. The key for each of us is to maintain our balance and not to get flummoxed by either the challenges or the opportunities. Extreme actions may not benefit us as much as just letting off steam.
The latter part of the week can be close to idyllic. Relationships seem especially pleasant with us appreciating the depth of character we see in other people. There may even be a sense of a soulmate connection, social encounters that encourage us to be a better person.
The end of the week and the early weekend could have us feeling good about ourselves, acknowledging our abilities and accomplishing a great deal. Even if we have to deal with mundane matters, we can do so effectively and quickly and with a smile on our face.
We end the weekend liable to stub our toes. The bloom comes off the rose, as our relationships turn harsh either due to misunderstandings and misreading of situations or seeing the flaws and frailties in someone whom we had earlier seen as having nothing other than sterling qualities.
This week may be a roller coaster of opportunities and challenges, and I guess we can refer to it as LIFE.
Monday, August 24th – Up and Running – Uranus, Lunar Grand Trine, Venus, Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Mars, Saturn. Monday begins the week with the Scorpio Moon and with the Moon opposed Uranus, the Moon sextile both Jupiter and Pluto both in Capricorn, and the Moon triggering a Water Grand Trine with the Scorpio Moon trine Venus in Cancer and the Moon trine Neptune in Pisces. The day has a Kite pattern chart and could prove a highly effective and successfully productive day. While things can go swimmingly today, the proverbial fly in the ointment is the Mars square Saturn today. We could be so revved up and feeling like we can do no wrong that we push the envelope, overdo our involvements and lose the opportunity to be receptive to a true sense of what is really going on. This is a day when we are likely to get in our own way, swagger and be belligerent. By being receptive and listening to our intuitive hunches, we might find that our progress moves forward more by our diplomacy and charm than by our arrogance and narcissism. How we choose to respond to the energies today is our choice, always our choice.
Tuesday, August 25th – Insights and Excess – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Mercury, Uranus, Venus, Jupiter. Tuesday begins with the Scorpio Moon sextile Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for six and a half hours as the Moon completes its transit of Scorpio without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Sagittarius where today the Moon squares the Sun. Mercury trines Uranus, and Venus opposes Jupiter. These times call for humility and being receptive to unexpected opportunities. Unfortunately for many of us, we have to break free and liberate ourselves from the old mindset conditioning of having to be in control of circumstances and being master of our conditions. The world and life don’t work that way, less so now during the paradigm shift than ever before. We may be in a very expansive mood today, wanting to stretch our wings but doing so solely on blind faith. Although possibly operating on a wing and a prayer today, the most curious thing is that things could actually work out in our favor. The universe may step in and either provide us with incredible insights as to how we can pull off our most outlandish proposals or can offer us surprising developments that easily pave our way. This is a day when we might experience the truth to the 1973 NY Mets affirmation from Tug McGraw of ‘ya gotta believe’. These times speak to magic and mini-miracles, incidents that are hard to comprehend as though coming out of the blue. This day could be one of those days. We need to appreciate the gifts given to us by the universe without taking advantage or trying to milk things for everything and then some. Let’s enjoy any opportunities today without going into excess.
Wednesday, August 26th – Concept Easy, Implementation Difficult – Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Neptune. Tuesday might have given us some startling revelations, perhaps not earth-shattering, but still some fascinating experience. Wednesday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Mercury in Virgo and the Moon square Neptune in Pisces. One thing we may all have noticed is the volatility of these times, radical twists and turns that have our head spinning. Yesterday, we might have felt that all the pieces were fitting easily into the puzzle, and we were fully aware as to how to proceed for successful results. Everything seems so easy in concept, the creative visualization of achieving our goals. Implementation is far different from the conceptual, and we might discover this fact today as we try to put things together in real time and in practical application. Wednesday can have us gung-ho to get things going, but in so doing we are liable to skip over certain details, neglect some of the specifics, and proceed with extreme confidence and with haphazard measures. Our mind may be awhirl with possibilities and options, but our due diligence could prove lacking. Late in the day, we might question what the point is to our efforts. It would be wise for us to slow things down, take things step-by-step, and not wind up just going in circles and performing mental gymnastics.
Thursday, August 27th – Back At It – Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Venus, Neptune. The roller coaster of our lives continues on this Thursday. While yesterday may have had us all aflutter with various thoughts, possibilities and anxieties, Thursday begins the day with the Sagittarius Moon trine Mars with a better trajectory to express our creative talents. We may feel like we are king / queen of the realm. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn where late in the day the Capricorn Moon trines the Sun. Venus trines Neptune. Thursday can have us feeling better about ourselves and our prospects. Confident and optimistic, we may fast forward our movements and make great advances with our individual projects. We might also be more attentive to how best to achieve our goals, focusing on the specifics and taking care of the details. And our relationships can be close to idyllic. We could have a sense of being on cloud nine with everything going right, nothing going wrong. This day begins with a thrust of energy and turns into a focused intent to get things done and advance our interests with appreciation from those witnessing our actions.
Friday, August 28th – All Together Now – Lunar Grand Trine, Uranus, Mercury, Jupiter. The Moon continues its transit of Capricorn with the Moon triggering an Earth Grand Trine as the Moon conjuncts Jupiter, and the Moon trines Uranus in Taurus, and the Moon trines Mercury in Virgo. Thursday, and especially Friday and Saturday, are highly productive, if we can keep our attention on the ball and not be distracted by diversions but maintain our persistence and perseverance to get things done. We could accomplish more these three days than most times. By drawing upon innovative means and utilizing technological tools, we are able to streamline our operations and be more effective with less expenditure of energy. Nothing is likely to fall between the cracks, and we have the confidence to take care of the particulars all the while that we are keeping an eye on our long-term goals and with a willingness to shift and change our approach in tune with the unfolding of our actions that have a life of their own. This is a day when we can have it all together, things can hum along smoothly and quickly with us able to virtually move mountains with hardly any sweat from our brow.
Saturday, August 29th – Completions Before Losing Steam – Neptune, Pluto, Saturn, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Jupiter. After two days when we might have been highly successful in getting things done, Saturday gives us the energy to tie up loose ends before we lose our focus and our attention and turn to other directions and pleasurable pursuits. The day begins with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today sextile Neptune, the Moon conjunct both Pluto and Saturn and the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Capricorn Moon opposes Venus in Cancer, and the Moon squares Mars in Aries. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius in the evening. Mercury trines Jupiter. We may believe that we have accomplished a great amount, and possibly we have, over the past two days. Today, we are likely to put finishing touches on some of the projects with which we have been engaged the past two days. Although we are in harness to conclude certain matters, we could also be champing at the bit wanting to get on with things, do other things and have some good times with good friends. While upbeat and even inspired by our own good works, we might also feel somewhat resentful that we continue to have nose to grindstone. Let’s be certain that we have plans for some fun events for tomorrow in order to push ourselves across the finish line of completing certain projects today.
Sunday, August 30th – the Worm Turns – Uranus, Venus, Pluto, Mercury, Neptune. Sunday has the Aquarius Moon square Uranus. Venus opposes Pluto, and Mercury opposes Neptune. Perhaps we are overtired from all the efforts we made over the past three days, but this Sunday could prove a disappointment to our expectations for a fun-filled day with exciting social interactions. Unexpected situations can put a damper on what we have scheduled for ourselves today. Relationships could be dicey with people being hypercritical and more liable to be looking at flaws rather than qualities. This Sunday might be a day when the Eeyores and Debbie Downers are out in full force, whining about anyone and everything, finding fault with circumstance and conditions, and generally just being ever so negative. This is a day for us to avoid controversies. There is no good reason to engage in discussions that turn heated or could even become aggressive pontifications. As the line goes in the classic Buffalo Springfield song For What It’s Worth: “Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong”. This Sunday might be a better day for us to have some alone time, feel inspired by the good things in life, tune out the newspeak, and see and seek out the beauty in nature, the blessings in our own individual lives.
