The astrology for this week of June 8th through the 14th of 2020 continues the intensity of these times with a great amount of confusion and impulsive actions likely. Time to get a handle on our emotions and dampen them with greater rationality.
The Lunar Eclipse of this past Friday continues its influence sowing seeds of discord, high emotionality and more spontaneous reactivity than well-considered selective proactivity.
The week begins with us able to deal with our responsibilities, so long as we stay focused on what is right in front of us. Future plans and future goals may be seductive, BUT we do not know the parameters in which we shall be operating. We are in a paradigm shift and even as things loosen up from our recent lockdown the new normal will not be replicating the old normal. The times they are a’changing.
Let’s not rush things, since we are unaware of all the characteristics, and especially with the characteristics shifting and changing suddenly and dramatically. The landscape we presently see for our future may not be the landscape we are in when we begin to implement our projects in the future.
What is no longer what was and still not what will be.
Unexpected situations early in the week could prove confusing and upsetting. Discussions and the view of someone with an objective perspective can help clarify and lead us out of our quandary, although possibly only briefly.
The latter part of the week has too many alternatives, too many options. We may be operating from our emotionality, seeing things based upon our moods rather than our reasoning, and we might have so many things to consider that it triggers a dizzying effect.
If there are atmospheric storm systems around, the precipitation could be extreme with flash floods. Even without atmospheric storm systems, we could be in a tsunami of emotions with liabilities towards wild mood swings, falling back into victim mode, with us highly susceptible to the intense negativity being projected.
Time to tune out to the goings-on in the world, acknowledge that people are freaking out, and tune in to our own happy, safe sanctuary through meditation, walks in nature, and contemplation.
The weekend is a good time for a ‘time out’, a spiritual retreat, and allowing ourselves to rest and recharge. We do have to be wary of pushing the envelope over the weekend, for the pushback could be severe.
We end the week and the weekend more energized, more willing to assert our individuality and less likely to follow the herd mentality. We are ready to initiate and begin our own individual projects.
Monday, June 8th – Attentive to the Present – Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn. Monday begins the week with the Capricorn Moon sextile Neptune, and the Moon conjunct both Pluto and Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius where tonight the Moon conjuncts Saturn. After what might have been a wild and wooly weekend with our anxiety level ratcheted up severalfold and a consequent liability to freaking out over ‘whatever’, this Monday can get us back on track, focused on what we need to get done, and concentrating on the specifics and particulars of our responsibilities. This is a day for us to put on blinders, attend to what we wish to accomplish and not get sidetracked by the high anxiety of life during these times. There are many distractions, opportunities to divert our attention, but we must ask ourselves whether the craziness in the world impacts us directly and whether whatever influence it might have is for the short-term or the long-term. Although we might prefer to give attention to new trajectories and future plans, this Monday is best served getting in harness and dealing with the details. It would be wise today for us to embrace the sentiment of American poet Emily Dickinson: “If you take care of the small things, the big things take care of themselves. You can gain more control over your life by paying closer attention to the little things.”
Tuesday, June 9th – Lemons into Lemonade – Uranus, Venus. Tuesday has the Aquarius Moon with the Moon today square Uranus, followed by the Moon trine Venus. With curveballs and unexpected situations disrupting our ‘best-laid plans’, we might assume that our goals are far beyond our reach with our inability to realize our greatest dreams. Such a belief would buy into the old mindset of our being in control of our circumstance and conditions. And if this enforced lockdown has proven one thing, it is the true reality that we are not in total control of our situation. The positive from this realization is the recognition that the universe works, that things occur in a most unexpected manner. While some incidents may not be our favorite, this paradigm shift also opens the door to magic and mini-miracles occurring. As the day proceeds, someone could lift our spirits, make us aware that oftentimes things are delayed because it’s not quite ‘right’ timing, but that there are always options and alternatives that we might not be privy to but are far greater than what we could conceive. There is no time for Eeyores or Debbie Downers during this paradigm shift but rather time for each of us to acknowledge the radical transformations happening in society and in our life and step onto the bus that will take us on the magical mystery tour.
Wednesday, June 10th – With a Little Help from Our Friend[s] – Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. We often consider Wednesday to be ‘hump day’ coming as it once did at the mid-point of the work week. For many of us our work week, our workdays, and our work times may have changed significantly as a result of the pandemic and its radical disruptions to our daily life. This Wednesday has the Aquarius Moon trine the Sun early in the day. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost nineteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces early on Thursday morning. If we could take this Wednesday as a ‘mental health’ day, it would certainly be suggested. Whether getting together with someone or with several people in person or through social media platforms, this Wednesday is a day for uplifting and inspiring discussions and conversations. We may realize that we are all in this present mess together and decide how each of us can best extricate ourselves from the craziness being perpetrated on us. We are not looking to re-create our past, but we might need input from other people regarding the possibilities that we might not see for ourselves. The more we can be encouraging to other people, and the more we can look at the goodness in our lives and not focus on the bad, the negative, or the victimhood, the more we can broaden our perspective, give energy towards good times ahead, and see in this paradigm shift that unanticipated variables might grease our wheels to better days ahead.
Thursday, June 11th – Savior or Victim – Venus, Uranus, Sun, Neptune. Thursday has the Moon moving into Pisces and opens a three-day soggy period, whether meteorologically and / or emotionally. The Moon today squares Venus, and the Moon sextiles Uranus. The Sun squares Neptune. We might not have a clue on this Thursday. We could easily convince ourselves of being a savior to someone or to the world itself. Or we may fall into the victim role and feel as though the world is against us. Confusion about where we are going, even who we are, can be rampant. This is a day to avoid definitive decisions, for our actions would be more emotion-based than rational. Our imagination is likely to be strong today, tomorrow, and much of Saturday. This three-day period is liable to have us easily swayed by how we feel and to be manipulated by the snake oil salespeople touting this, that, appealing to our emotions with an emphasis on the ‘story’ rather than any hard, cold facts. We are in a time of confusion, a sense played upon to steer us in accord with someone else’s agenda. I often suggest ‘check the source and check their agenda’, but these three days we may not be the best at discerning what is really going on. It would be wise for us to get through this three-day sequence without making any important decisions or significant actions. Even our confidantes are liable to misinterpretations and misunderstandings. Let’s keep in mind that this time of paradigm shift can have things changing suddenly and dramatically, and we might not yet be privy to all the variables involved in the unfolding.
Friday, June 12th – Mea Culpa – Mercury, Mars, Neptune. Friday continues with the Pisces Moon with the Moon today trine Mercury, and the Moon conjunct both Mars and Neptune. We may be champing at the bit to do something, almost anything, on this Friday. As though feeling guilty for whatever reason, we could seek to shed some of our stuff. A positive characteristic of these energy configurations might be our recognition that ‘less is more’, that we truly don’t need all the stuff that we have acquired which serves primarily as a protective psychic shield and enhancing a false self-esteem. Although many people play to the sentiment that ‘the one with the most toys when they die wins’, our stuff now might seem weighty, even dirty. Our compassion may be engaged today, but it would be wise for us to be thoughtful in how we express our care and consideration. As the Chinese proverb advises: “give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” The guilt card is being promulgated. But making someone feel less about themselves does not in earnest lift up any other person. On the contrary, demeaning other people, demeaning our self, only lowers the vibration with more of a focus on the negative, the life depleting. Let’s avoid falling into a pit of despair where our actions are liable to be only reactive and ineffectual grasps at remedying a troubling situation. Today is far better contemplating, meditating, and embracing our spirit in order to express competently and effectively from our soul level.
Saturday, June 13th – Spring Cleaning – Sun, Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Mars, Neptune. Saturday calls for us to have a plan of action as we begin the day. The Pisces Moon today squares the Sun in the early morning hours, and then the Moon sextiles both Pluto and Jupiter both in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries later in the day where tonight the Moon sextiles Saturn. Mars conjuncts Neptune. With the Moon finishing its transit of Pisces, the Moon is also ending its month-long cycle through the Zodiac. This is a good day for completions, inventory taking, and cleaning out the dross from our life. A good spring cleaning would do wonders to rid us of the extraneous and outmoded and open space for the new and exciting to enter our life. For much of the day there is an excess of water. We have to be extremely careful if we are going boating or swimming, since the Mars Neptune conjunction could have us acting impulsively but without clarity. Storm systems can dump torrential rains. Just a lot of water today, excessive emotion, and a day for us to do a good cleansing — both materially and spiritually. The end of the day gives us a second wind with our attention turned to a social engagement and plans for our future. After a soggy three days when we might have felt driven by our moods, we engage some fire and more self-determination.
Sunday, June 14th – Out and About – Venus, Mercury. Sunday has the Aries Moon sextile Venus early in the day and ends the day with the Moon square Mercury. Even though the bell hadn’t sounded to release us from lockdown, people have been out and about over the past ten days. There is a reason, a cause, for it, but it does raise questions regarding this pandemic, which crashed the economy, and which did not live up to the models forecasting utter death devastation with the actual death total little more than the annual influenza death rate. While we can debate the efficacy of the reaction to this year’s virus, provoking extreme anxiety in the populace, engaging in extreme restrictive actions, and destroying the livelihood and financial stability of so many people; now may be the time for us to embrace our reset, to start our reboot, and determine how we wish to proceed individually in whatever new ‘normal’ we are going to create for ourselves. This Sunday is a good day for exploration, of getting out and about, conversing with other people, and awakening to a new world of possibilities. We may have family matters to address, pulls from our past and from the familiar, but the more we can be like little children and engage the spirit of awe and wonder at new beginnings, the more we can feel the excitement of our new parameters, our new opportunities.
