The astrology for this week of June 29th through July 5th of 2020 can take us back into past situations whether our recall is through our memories or projects once completed needing to be revamped.
Like doing the Texas two-step, we may be feeling this week that we’ve taken one step forward and now have to take two steps back. Let’s not be totally concerned about any feeling of going back and forth.
Remember, we are in a Mercury retrograde, a time when Murphy’s Law of ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’ is in effect.
The weightiness of the past may hang heavily on us as we begin the week. Five of the planets are retrograde, and retrograde motion asks, even demands, that we go back over particular areas of our lives in order to review, reevaluate and rework.
We also have the Jupiter Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, which last occurred on March 20th, a time of sharp increase in the virus, reawakening the fear and panic with a return of constraints and constrictions.
We deal with the law of three in life, and the third time this aspect occurs is in November on November 12th amidst what is likely to be a most convoluted time of election results. Election Day itself has Mercury turning direct reminiscent of the 2000 Election Day, the results of which were not determined until finally resolved by the deciding vote in the Supreme Court of Justice Anthony Kennedy. Remember that mail-in ballots may take a while to be collected, sorted, counted and notated before the final election results.
That is then, this is now.
A significant shift in energy occurs mid-week to begin July as Saturn retrogrades back into its own Sign of Capricorn for a five and a half month transit of the Cardinal Earth Sign to complete its two and a half year transit of Capricorn and before entering Aquarius in mid-December for its two-plus year transit of the Fixed Air Sign. This Spring has given us a prelude and indication of the Saturn Aquarius transit with the lockdown evidencing the extensive use of technology in our daily lives to conduct business, educate children, shop groceries, and manage other daily life matters.
The weekend, the July 4th Independence Day holiday weekend in the US, has the Capricorn Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse. The question of balance between our home life and our professional involvements may be called into question, although surprising news and unexpected developments could pave the way for new trajectories and greater ease in operations.
Despite the intense disruptions occurring in the world at large and in our own personal lives, these are most dynamic times when things can shift radically and change dramatically in a nanosecond or less — all part of the paradigm shift.
From the ashes, the phoenix soars ever higher.
Monday, June 29th – Back in Harness – Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn. Despite the fact that Mars entered its own Sign of Aries over this past weekend and has given us a shot in the arm, fire under our feet, Monday could have us feeling like the reins being pulled in and our movement forward as having the brakes applied. Monday begins with the Libra Moon square both Pluto and Jupiter both in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over nine and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio where today the Moon squares Saturn. While we might want to draw from a wide palette of projects and involvements today, we may feel forced to tidy things up, deal with particulars, and address necessary details we could have easily glossed over previously. Bringing our attention back to pressing needs after a weekend when we may have taken off our blinders and considered our future plans rather than our daily responsibilities, we can feel as if getting back into harness. We are more likely to have our feet on the ground today. As the day progresses, we might have the sense that some of our exciting prospects that we considered over the weekend are but pipedreams with us not having the resources to engage our future intentions. We may have to deal with our tasks at hand today, but it doesn’t mean that we cannot dream or plan for future new directions.
Tuesday, June 30th – Yes, We Can – Sun, Uranus, Mercury, Jupiter, Pluto. Tuesday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today trine both the Sun and Mercury both in Cancer, and the Moon opposed Uranus. The Sun conjuncts Mercury, and Mercury sextiles Uranus. Jupiter conjuncts Pluto. Sometimes, unexpected situations throw us off square one and, while upsetting, they allow us to see options and alternatives we might not have otherwise considered. And such an occurrence might happen on this Tuesday. We all get a little fixed, a little rigid, and want things to unfold as we would wish them to. These times of intense disruption demand that we be flexible and adaptable to changing conditions. We can feel pumped up today with a sense of invincibility, but we have to avoid a sense of narcissism or entitlement, which would only create greater difficulties for us by affirming our being out of synch with the parameters of the paradigm shift with its characteristic of asequential reality. If we prevent ourselves from assuming that we are in total control of situations, this Tuesday could open doors of possibilities that we might not have been able to take into account. Thinking outside the box would go a long way to resolving problems, achieving successful results, and being happier with our outcome.
Wednesday, July 1st – It’s Back – Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Sun, Uranus, Saturn Capricorn. Wednesday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon trine Neptune, the Moon sextile both Jupiter and Pluto both in Capricorn. The Sun sextiles Uranus, and Saturn exits Aquarius to retrograde back into Capricorn. The Moon sextiles Saturn in Capricorn before the Moon enters Sagittarius late in the day. This can be a highly productive day and quite a contrast to Monday when we might have been bucking against focusing on our responsibilities. This Wednesday gives us the energy to draw upon our intuitive sense, our sense of how things can operate most expeditiously, and then employ our envisioning into practical application to accomplish a great deal. Nothing is likely to fall between the cracks today, for we have virtually a sixth sense as to how the pieces fit neatly together in the most pragmatic and streamlined manner possible. We may look to shift things up, free ourselves from tedium, but all with the intention of operating at our optimum and being highly productive. The Saturn retrograde back into its own Sign of Capricorn also brings back the Stellium of three planets in the Cardinal Earth Sign. Much of what we had to go through, and endure, during the winter period can resurface. Even the fear mongering and panic spreading could be back on the front burner, although the difference being the Mars transiting its own Sign of Aries, which might make people less compliant to government edicts than they were the first go-round with this virus scare. A highly effective day, this Wednesday also reinforces the idea that there are times when we need to go back, review, reevaluate and rework before moving ahead unencumbered by our past.
Thursday, July 2nd – Wind Beneath Our Wings – Mars, Venus. Thursday has the Sagittarius Moon trine Mars, and the Moon opposed Venus. Feeling upbeat and seeing glimmers of exciting surprises, we can be on a ‘high’ today and ready to go full speed ahead. This is a day when once set into motion, we are unlikely to be stopped or have the brakes applied to whatever we are doing. We might negate any information that does not corroborate our plan of action. And action we are likely to engage today. We are not interested in sitting around, discussing our plans. On the contrary, this is a day when we put spirit into action. We may feel as if we have the wind beneath our wings, but it would be wise for us to keep in mind the story of Icarus and Daedalus and not fly too close to the sun. As the saying goes: ‘the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions.’ This Thursday calls for us to channel our confidence and indefatigable energy into productive venues, maintain humility, and be open to information that might change our course of action as we proceed along. Let’s work smarter rather than harder.
Friday, July 3rd – Stuck in the Muddle – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday begins the day with the Sagittarius Moon square Neptune. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over fifteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn early on Saturday morning. Starting the day in a world of confusion, we might be spinning our wheels wondering what to do, how to do it, and winding up all over the place. In the US, we are on the verge of the long July 4th holiday weekend, and many of us may start the weekend early. Whether we are taking off or staying home, our traditional ways of celebrating July 4th could be severely altered or totally dampened. Hopefully, we have used some of the earlier days of this week to accomplish what needed to be done, for this Friday is likely to be a ‘mental health’ day, a day when we don’t get a great deal done but are more inclined to summer vacation mode. We may not be able to travel to Europe, might not even be able to travel into some of our US states without quarantine, but we are still looking for good times, whether with good friends or solo. Restrictions do not have to dampen good spirits, only necessary alterations.
Saturday, July 4th – Independence in Handcuffs – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Mercury, Uranus. The Moon enters Capricorn late Friday, early Saturday with the Capricorn Moon today triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square Mars in Aries and the Moon opposed Mercury in Cancer. The Moon also trines Uranus. Commitments made can feel restrictive, or we might feel constrained by the lockdown orders reengaged. It’s July 4th, Independence Day in the US, but we could feel anything but independent as we deal with the new ‘normal’ rules and regulations. We are likely willing to comply with the less restrictive measures but not with those that handcuff us and keep us from enjoying the major summer holiday weekend. This is a day for us to get together with family and friends, whether we do so literally in person at a social gathering or we do so virtually by means of some social platform. In the spirit of Independence, we may prefer to do things spontaneously and not be tied down by commitments or obligations. Although the continual count of virus cases and deaths attributed to virus can be panic provoking, some people may tune out the constant blaring of fear and intimidation and choose to do whatever they wish to do on this Independence Day, and hopefully do so wisely with good sense.
Sunday, July 5th – Best of Both Worlds – Capricorn Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Sun, Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto. Late on Saturday, early Sunday morning, we have the Capricorn Full Moon [12:44 AM EDT], a Lunar Eclipse, as the Sun opposes the Moon. The Capricorn Moon on this Sunday also sextiles Neptune, and the Moon conjuncts both Jupiter and Pluto. This can be one high energy day, a day and a period of time when we seek balance between our personal life and our professional life. We may be looking at ridding ourselves of the outmoded, the past, and those matters that no longer resonate for us but belong to the bin of our history. During this year, and especially during our periods of isolation and lockdown, we have had the opportunity to contemplate how best to get ‘real’ with our life. We may have discovered interesting surprises, those ‘ah-ha’ moments when we might have realized a certain insight, gained understanding of a different way, all the while deepening our involvement in our life journey. Maybe we have come to the realization that our life journey is more than just material survival or the accumulation of stuff. Perhaps we have reawakened our spiritual life and are now looking for greater meaning to our daily life activities. This Lunar Eclipse can make us more aware of the paradigm shift, the essential qualities of our life journey, and open doors for how we can be more effective with less expenditure of energy. It would be wise for us to keep in mind that we do not have to do it all, but we do have to be open in order to receive. A high point to shine in the light of the silvery Moon.
