The astrology for this week of May 25th through the 31st of 2020, the first unofficial week of the summer, may have us tending to family affairs, enjoying good times with good friends, and getting our health regimen back in gear.
The week begins in the US with Memorial Day and the last day of the three-day holiday weekend that unofficially celebrates the start of summer. Traditionally, this is a day of honoring those who have served and a day when we get together with family and friends for barbecues and outings. We are certainly in the mood for honoring our first responders during this virus outbreak. We are also likely to choose some format by which we can spend time with family and friends — whether physically or virtually, and whether sanctioned by authorities or our own personal determination.
We start the week with a bang, similar to a racehorse in the starting gate champing at its bit. We are energized and ready to enjoy our life out of the shadow of the fear and anxieties imposed upon us by a constant barrage over the past few months.
We may spend the early part of the week with family and friends. As we come into the mid-week, we might be more interested in our own creative endeavors and putting a personal mark on any and all of our activities.
Whatever obligations we did not address earlier in the week, Friday and Saturday can have us taking care of pressing demands, our usual obligations and our responsibilities.
Just as the beginning of the week might have us involved with family and friends, we end the weekend seeking quality time with our special someone.
This week, like life itself, could seem like a roller coaster, with various starts and stops along the way, with times of being stalled and other times of intense acceleration.
While we have been sequestered, the world has changed. We may have felt the disruptions, but as we broaden our perspective and take into account what is going on beyond our four walls, we can become better aware of the transformations that have gone on. We might not understand how best to navigate the new permutations, but as we go step-by-step we’ll eventually get our rhythm and establish our own ‘right’ pace.
Monday, May 25th – On All Cylinders – Uranus, Mars. Monday is Memorial Day in the US, the last day of the long holiday weekend that celebrates the unofficial start to the summer season. We might be fully in party time today and feel long overdue after weeks of being on lockdown in reaction to the virus scare. Whether we go out and about, stay home with family and friends, or reach out to connect with other people virtually, this day may have us raring to go. The Cancer Moon sextiles Uranus and the Moon trines Mars. Mars sextiles Uranus. We may far prefer to be spontaneous on this Monday and do whatever catches our fancy than to follow prescribed plans. Operating on impulse can give us an adrenaline rush. We are likely to be in the mood for change. We could decide to move things around in our home, spice things up, and find ways to put a new spin on things. It seems necessary for us to find healthy outlets to release our energy and an energy that might feel as if pent up from the limitations imposed over the past few weeks. We may be firing on all cylinders today, so let’s find ways to expend our energy without being rash or reckless.
Tuesday, May 26th – Somewhere Other Than Here – Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter. Tuesday completes the Moon’s transit of Cancer with the Cancer Moon today trine Neptune early in the day and the Moon opposed both Pluto and Jupiter late in the day. It may be hard to let the long weekend end, for we could start this Tuesday slowly and with our mind wandering to far off places such as Fantasyland. We might have trouble getting up and going. Perhaps we exhausted ourselves yesterday with too much excitement. We are unlikely to want to go back to normal, as though we ever could after the dramatic disruptions to our lives and the transformations of the paradigm shift. We just don’t know what the new ‘normal’ looks like and after months of being bombarded with anxiety, fear and negativity, we may prefer to pull the covers over our head and make the world go away. No matter how we might dodge, duck or dive our responsibilities, the latter part of the day pulls us to attention of pressing demands. Tuesday may be slow going to begin with, but as the day continues, we have to get back on the ground, back into our body and deal with our mundane affairs.
Wednesday, May 27th – Switching It Up – Sun, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Uranus. The Moon enters Leo where today the Moon sextiles the Sun, and the Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Saturn and the Moon square Uranus. We might not know the conditions of our ‘new’ world, but this day gives us the push to explore the possibilities, test the waters, and see how we can best put our personal mark on our activities. We may feel as though we have gained a second wind and are more willing to take ball in hand and head for the goal of realizing our greatest ambitions. We might be tackled by obstacles in our way. The changes that have occurred to life itself could throw us for a loss, but we have the persistence and determination to deal with whatever comes our way. There can still be restrictions to how we wish to proceed, but despite the frustrations and the delays, we are likely to have the tenacity to keep on keeping on. If we can use any blockages and any curveballs, of which there are liable to be some today, as honings and finetunings, we could accomplish a great deal today. Let’s keep in mind that the universal forces and the natural unfoldings, no matter how unnatural they might seem, could work in our favor. Things may not go according to our plan but might work to our benefit according to an even greater master plan. This is a day for us to embrace our creative self-expressions with an appreciation that our endeavors have a life of their own, and with more successful results the more we are able to adapt and pivot to the changing circumstances.
Thursday, May 28th – Thinking Things Through – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury Cancer. Thursday has the Leo Moon sextile Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over twenty-two hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo on Friday morning. Mercury exits its own Sign of Gemini to enter Cancer, which also brings closure to the Stellium of three planets in the Mutable Air Sign. Conversations and discussions with other people could be instrumental in our seeing some of the life changes that have gone on during this virus reaction from a perspective other than our own. Each of us may have a different perception regarding what has gone on and what is likely to evolve out of this virus situation. Instead of falling prey to the anxieties and fears, we might begin to look at how we can rebuild our lives under the new parameters likely to be in force. We might also reach out to friends and family and make our plans, all made in pencil with a large eraser, for reunions, reconnections and celebrations that may have been postponed due to the lockdown. We may not be able to fully spread our wings yet, but we can give thought to our future and our intentions to expand our interests and our involvements in the days ahead. This Thursday is far better for planning than implementing. We can give thought to how we may wish to reconfigure our life in accord with the changes in the template of doing life in the days ahead.
Friday, May 29th – Addressing Specifics, Alternate Means – Mercury, Uranus, Sun. Friday has the Moon entering Virgo where today the Moon sextiles Mercury early in the day, and late in the day the Moon trines Uranus and the Moon squares the Sun. This is a day for us to address the details of our lives — tidying, straightening and putting our house in order, including a good health regimen to engage. Attending to our base of operations can clarify what we have, what we need to do and what new activities we might decide to pursue. Much of our focus may be centered on home and family matters and how we can make things work more effectively. With the lockdown, our territory has been narrowed and constricted, and we may have found ourselves juggling any number of things in a narrow space with various distractions demanding our attention. Late in the day, we could devise innovative means to accomplish our goals. We are better able to think outside the box, although some of the ease of operations might be a result of the universe stepping in and providing greased wheels whereby things can operate more smoothly, easily and quickly than what we had imagined. We do have to be wary of getting carried away with ourselves, since we could be setting ourselves up for a nasty fall tomorrow, when the energy turns frenetic.
Saturday, May 30th – Hurry More, Focus Less – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Venus, Neptune. Saturday has the Virgo Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed both Mars and Neptune, and the Moon square Venus. Unless we have considered our plans for the day before we start off today, then we could be rushing around without accomplishing a great deal. We may be in turbodrive today but without itinerary or destination in hand. Instead of paying attention to what we are doing, we are liable to gloss over situations and negate significant details. This is a day to periodically apply the brakes but with us liable not to do so. If we would slow things down, draw upon input from a trusted confidante, then we could blend foresight with practical application and accomplish a great deal. We certainly have the energy to get things done, for we may have a lot of nervous energy. This is one of those days when we could be most productive by playing the xylophone rather than the one note samba. Going from one thing to another to another without worrying about taking any one thing from start to finish would be more in synch with today’s energies. The more we can be aware of what our productive time cycle is, whether five minutes or half an hour, and align our actions in accord, we might prove highly effective and more productive today. We may be feeling as though we have attention deficit disorder today, but in reality the energy is ratcheted up significantly with our focus diminished as we look to juggle any number of things.
Sunday, May 31st – Picking Up the Pieces – Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Mercury. Whether we made a mess of things yesterday or just stirred up our activities, this Sunday in the morning hours allows us to get a handle on whatever matters we left hanging. Correcting mistakes, tying up loose ends, completing unresolved involvements can all be part of our first part of this day. Today, the Virgo Moon trines both Pluto and Jupiter before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over five hours as the Moon completes its transit of Virgo without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Libra. The Libra Moon today trines Saturn and the Moon squares Mercury. Once we have rectified any bone-headed decisions based upon our hastiness yesterday, we might shift our attention to our relationships. Slowing things down and enjoying the company of someone, or other people, may work wonders for a mental realignment where we see a possible trajectory to accomplish our future plans. It’s always wise to draw upon the detached and objective input to evaluate and hone our own perceptions. If we can get out and about today, step into unfamiliar terrain, it would go a long way in relieving us of some of the ‘cabin fever’ we may have been experiencing during this recent pandemic lockdown. Misery may love company, but today we are better able to see the sun shining through the clouds, less likely to be in a negative spin and more accepting of an upbeat attitude, with a little help from our friend[s].
