April 27th – May 3rd, 2020

The astrology for this week of April 27th through May 3rd of 2020 could slow things down and as an effect may demand that we be patient and out of our own way so that the universe can works its ‘magic’.

The week begins with one of those ‘manic Mondays’. People may be champing at the bit, wanting to get on with things, and more insistent than ever to throw off the shackles of the lockdown.

While our impulsive nature is liable to be engaged as we start the week, very quickly the accelerated pace weakens. There can be greater patience, whether self-induced or universal regulated. Even if we try to quickly advance our intentions, we might feel as though we are trying to force our way through mighty headwinds.

The issue of timing is everything, and we could discover that our way is made easier and in a more productive manner as we come to the end of the week. Frustrations earlier in the week could give way to those ‘ah-ha’ moments of appreciation that there are indeed better ways than what we had imagined. Trusting in the universe and thinking outside the box provide options and alternatives of which we were not earlier aware.

The age-old nursery rhyme of ‘April showers bring May flowers’ may prove ever more valid as we come into May. The restraints and the restrictions placed upon us over the past three months as a result of the government lockdown in response to the covid-19 plague might start to be lifted or considered to be lessened in the days ahead.

Although the stay-at-home edicts have been difficult for most and the economic impact disastrous for many, there has been an opportunity amidst the crisis. By bringing a halt to our normal everyday course of action, we have been put on hiatus and given the time to reflect, contemplate and consider how we wish to reset our own personal lives when the regulations imposed are loosened.

Life has changed. We have changed. And similar to the blossoming of May flowers after the April showers, we too can create in our reset brighter days through better ways.

This weekend allows us to get our house in order and begin the process of spirit in action with our reboot.

Monday, April 27th – Fast Forward Before Slowing It Down – Mercury, Mercury Taurus. Monday begins the week with the Moon completing its transit of Gemini and with the Gemini Moon sextile Mercury just before the Moon enters Cancer and before Mercury exits Aries to enter Taurus. We can have thoughts of all sorts of future possibilities for ourselves. Nothing is too much or too hard, for even instinctively we have a sense that the paradigm shift is in effect whereby what was no longer is, and what can be is no longer limited by what is present. Anything and everything are potential realities in our days ahead. As the day unfolds, we are likely to become more patient and determined to achieve our goals no matter the time involved or the obstacles in our way. Mercury’s exit from Aries ends any Fire Sign influence and accentuates Taurus as Mercury joins the Sun and Uranus to create a Stellium and powerpack in the Fixed Earth Sign. Our movements are less likely to be rash, more plodding, and our intentions less impetuous, more persistent. Practicality becomes paramount as we ponder our prospects.

Tuesday, April 28th – Rearranging – Uranus, Sun, Mercury, Saturn. Tuesday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today sextile both Uranus and the Sun. Mercury squares Saturn. We may be more aware of being able to do things differently. Rearranging how we do things and what we are doing could be a beneficial result of our hiatus whereby our many distractions in the world have been limited by the stay-at-home edicts from governmental authorities. This is a day when we could create new templates for ourselves, streamline our operations, and establish a firm foundation from which to operate. We might find ourselves being more effective with less expenditure of energy. The New Moon influence from this past Wednesday, the 22nd, up to the Full Moon on May 7th gives us the impetus to be more effective with less expenditure of energy and to be open to ways that may be more innovative and technologically savvy. In this time of reset, it is essential that we not try and replicate our past means of operating. This ‘time out’ has allowed us to do an inventory taking of what we are doing and how we are doing. From our reflections, we can then draw upon new concepts, different ideas and embrace options and alternatives not previously available to us. Even if we assume that we might not have the resources available to do a major makeover or transformation in our life, let’s keep in mind that during this paradigm shift we do not have to do it all. The universe works, and the shift from linear to asequential reality opens the door to even the most unimaginable becoming possible. Intention goes a long way to successful results and especially if we are willing to be in synch with the opportunities afforded us by the natural universal unfolding. Let’s not put on blinders but rather engage our faith that things can happen in random and even miraculous ways.

Wednesday, April 29th – Push Pulls Between Self-Care and Responsibilities – Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday begins with the Cancer Moon trine Neptune. The Moon opposes both Pluto and Jupiter and then goes Void-of-Course for five and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo late in the day. In our dream state and in the quiet moments, we often get some interesting thoughts, figments of our imagination, which bolster our faith. Our day might begin with our having a deeper understanding that whatever is going on in the world-at-large can work out for the best and not become the dystopian future promulgated by the Eeyores and Debbie Downers with their negativity pitch. We might use this day to address outstanding matters, address the various details that are like loose threads needing to be tied up. We could spend some time tidying and straightening in preparation for days of creative thrusts and pleasurable activities. Even if we are still staying housebound, we can find ways to entertain ourselves, enjoy ourselves and appreciate all the blessings in our lives. This Wednesday is a day to take care of ourselves, value our living, and pay attention to the necessary tasks that are all part of our routine maintenance.

Thursday, April 30th – Rigidity Is Breakable, Flexibility Adaptable – Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Mercury, Uranus, Sun. Thursday has the Leo Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Saturn and the Moon square the three Taurus-transiting planets of Mercury, Uranus, and the Sun. Late in the day, Mercury conjuncts Uranus. Arrogance gets in the way of progress, and we have to be watchful on this Thursday that our self-importance doesn’t become a hindrance rather than a benefit. If we try to push our agenda without consideration of the conditions and the circumstance, there could be a powerful pushback to our plans. This is one of those days when we might realize that our efforts are all for nothing if we go against the grain of the universal unfolding. Despite our own best efforts, late in the day things can fit neatly together with very little effort. Insights and understanding could come forward like lightning strikes. By accepting our true role as co-creators of our destiny with the universal unfolding, we might step onto the magical mystery tour that paves the way for greater success with less effort, unexpected trajectories far better than what we may have conceived, and an ease of proceeding by being in the flow rather than pushing against the currents. Our lesson on this Thursday is likely to be the fact that things can operate easily and effectively when we don’t get in our own way but instead heed the ‘ah-ha’ moments with indications from the universe as to whichever way the wind blows.

Friday, May 1st – Nothing Could Be Finer – Venus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon today sextile Venus and the Moon opposed Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for thirteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo early on Saturday morning. Today is May Day, Beltane, and celebrates life with its sense of abundant fertility. After several months of imposed hibernation and isolation, we may feel a spark of greater life as we come into the month of May. Similar to nature itself, we might personally feel a renewal, rebirth and renaissance. One of the things that this lockdown has provided us is the sense of connection with other people. Perhaps we have gained a greater appreciation of the special people in our lives. We may have reached out over the past few weeks to people with whom we have had little contact. The sense of interrelationship, even during this time of social distancing, might have become a great deal stronger. This day allows us to express our gratitude for that special person, or special people, in our lives. The balance between our personal interests and our collaboration with other people may be a seesaw, but at the very least we recognize the significant part that other people have played and continue to play in our life. Today can be a highly pleasant day if we both share our feelings and are receptive listeners to other people’s contributions.

Saturday, May 2nd – Fine Tuning – Uranus, Mercury, Sun. Saturday has the Moon moving into Virgo with the Moon today trine the three Taurus-transiting planets of Uranus, Mercury and the Sun. We can be highly productive and effective today. We might be focused on things that need to get done. The Moon trines the Taurus-transiting planets today, and tomorrow the Moon trines Pluto and Jupiter both in Capricorn, thereby creating a Grand Trine in the Earth Element with each of the three Earth Signs accentuated. Saturday and Sunday could help us get a great deal done, first on Saturday dealing with specifics and details, tomorrow on Sunday concentrating on our long-term goals. These two days are best served by having our head down and attending to practical, mundane matters. Not only do we have the ability to attend to what needs get done. We can do so using streamlined methods and presenting things in an appealing, attractive manner. Whatever messes we created on Wednesday and Thursday, we can straighten out on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday, May 3rd – Tempting Diversions Interrupt Effectiveness – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter. Sunday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Venus and the Moon opposes Neptune. The Moon also trines Pluto and Jupiter both in Capricorn, completing by Sign the Grand Trine in the Earth Element begun yesterday with the Virgo Moon trining the three Taurus-transiting planets and today with the Virgo Moon trine the two Capricorn-transiting planets. Venus squares Neptune. Although this could be a day when we build upon our productivity and effectiveness of yesterday, today would allow us to put greater impetus behind our long-term goals. Where a problem arises is the likelihood of tempting distractions. Someone might suggest we get involved in something that is more in their interests than our own. We might also have someone play the guilt card, shaming us into doing something they want us to do with the justification that we owe it to them and with a spurious promise that they’ll pay us back for our efforts in some distance time with some undefined assistance. Let’s recognize that if we give an inch, someone might expect a foot with a never-ending neediness taking us from what we could otherwise accomplish for ourselves. It would be better not to be diverted by illusions, delusions or deceptions but rather to keep our focus on taking care of our personal practical matters. Someone today might seem attracting and appealing, but the dance might be with a trickster with someone appearing one way, the reality quite different. Since relationships today could be dicey and disappointing, it might be wise to keep our head down and concentrate on our own personal matters.
