The astrology for this week of March 30th through the 5th of April of 2020 offers us a lightening up of our load, IF we are willing to look to the sunny side of the street. Remember: our attitude is a choice, always our choice.
Many of us are under heavy-duty restrictions with our mobility seriously limited. Our outlets may seem narrow at best. Perhaps now is a time for us to appreciate the wide breadth of possibilities for participation that we have enjoyed and been accustomed to. And most of us still have incredible benefits that many of our brothers and sisters in the world do not have, and never have had. It may seem flippant but now would be a good time for us to count our blessings.
The week begins with a major shift in energy as Mars exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius. The Stellium of three or more planets in Capricorn that has gone on since early December of last year is ended. Capricorn is associated with restriction and compression, and we could start to feel an alleviation of the limitations felt imposed upon us. Not that the barn doors are likely to be thrown wide open. But we might envision light at the end of the tunnel, better able to see our way clear.
With Mars moving into Aquarius, this week is a week of two-fers. Venus and Uranus are in Taurus. Jupiter and Pluto are in Capricorn. Mars and Saturn are in Aquarius. And Mercury and Neptune are in Pisces.
We have another two weeks of Mercury being in Pisces with Mercury conjunct Neptune at the end of this week. The Debbie Downers could be haranguing us with constant negativity. Thank you, media shills, for stoking the fires of anxiety, fear and panic that serve little purpose except to boost your audience ratings, all the while depleting the audience of energy and the force to withstand the assaults of the crisis upon us.
Mercury in Pisces, and especially with the conjunction to Neptune on Friday, can ratchet up our imagination. Either we embrace our spiritual nature with an understanding that no matter what occurs life is a continuum, whether lived on this earth plane or some other living dimension, or we fall into depressive despair awaiting the onslaught of the apocalypse. What we choose to assume is our choice, always our choice.
Before we leave the month of March behind, there can be some startling discoveries announced, alternatives that have not been considered but that can provide relief and innovative new ways of doing things. Let’s keep in mind that we are going through a paradigm shift, and some of the indications of this dramatic change in circumstance are openings into dimensions of discoveries and understandings that we were not privy to beforehand.
The mid-week period could have us fixing up our home, making it more of a sanctuary and a safe space for us to use presently in our lockdown and subsequently for our greater enjoyment and comfort.
The latter part of the week and early part of the weekend may have us engaged in conversations, texts, zoom meetings, and the like. We might reach out to people with whom we have had little contact. An interesting facet of the pandemonium over the pandemic is that we are less self-absorbed and more interested in what is going on with other people and how they are coping with this new reality. It always seems that the best, and the worst, of the human spirit is expressed under crisis condition.
We may seek out entertaining diversions late in the week, over the weekend. Movies, youtube videos, and other forms of distractions can occupy our time.
Not only is the latter part of the week and early weekend a good time to reach out and connect with friends and relatives and neighbors. It is also a good time for reflection and contemplation, to meditate on what our true purpose in doing this life journey is all about.
The latter part of the weekend may have us lining our ducks up, dealing with some of our tasks and obligations but also planning our next moves when we are released from our imposed isolations.
The world has changed, and we might be leaving behind a fractious environment with the intention of entering a world that is far more peaceful, more collaborative, and more appreciative of all that we have been given. A little faith may be called for, even if we only have blind faith.
Monday, March 30th – Game Changer – Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars Aquarius. Monday begins the week with the Moon in Gemini and the Moon square Neptune. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twenty and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer on Tuesday morning. As we start the week, we might not know whether we are coming or going. Information, although more likely misinformation or even disinformation, could have us reeling and caroming from one perspective to yet another to yet a third, all the while with us feeling out of control [as if we ever truly had control]. We had better be attentive to what we take in on this Monday. The doomsayers may be out in force, hawking their negative view of things. A chorus of ‘we’re all going to die’ can be hard to withstand but withstand it we must if we are not to fall into a pit of negativity and despair. Yes, people are freaked out, anxious, and in fearful panic. For those who have worked upon themselves, done the internal work, and engaged their spiritual side, they are better able to successfully cope with present circumstance. For other people, those oblivious to internal growth and development and who instead have been focused solely on material gain, their coping skills may not have been developed during these recent times of entitlement, and the present conditions provide an accelerated learning curve to get back to essence, reengage their spirit, and activate their soul. Let’s get spiritual, contemplate, reflect, meditate and look at the big picture of our life journey and not merely the valley we seem to be going through now. A major shift in energy occurs on this Monday as Mars exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius. This move is a game changer, for it ends the Stellium of three planets in Capricorn that has gone on since the beginning of December of 2019. We’ll reengage the Cardinal Earth Stellium from July through mid-December, but for the next three months we have a breather and an opportunity to think outside the box, look to the future, engage innovative alternatives, and move forward into a new reality that can take greater hold in 2021 and beyond.
Tuesday, March 31st – Wait for It – Uranus, Mars, Saturn. The Moon enters Cancer early on Tuesday morning but makes no aspects to the planets until late in the day when the Cancer Moon sextiles Uranus. Mars conjuncts Saturn. There is a Hollywood dictum in the entertainment industry that states: ‘hurry up and wait’. And that sentiment may be how we feel on this Tuesday. We might prefer doing something other than our imposed time at home. Are we feeling the pangs of ‘cabin fever’? Instead of grousing about our situation, we could spend the day tidying up our messes, straightening things out, and making our environment a safe and hopefully happy space. We may not have our usual amount of physical energy today. Much of our consideration can be focused on our future goals, our plans, and what we intend to do once we are sprung from the lockdown that seems to be going on virtually worldwide. The beauty to this day is that when we stop running and we give ourselves a breather from our usual engagements, we have the ability for the new and different to filter through. We might not be able to participate in new activities today, but we can certainly give thought as to what we wish to engage in our days ahead. Let’s keep in mind the paradigm shift and the increasing opportunity for things to occur in a most unexpected manner. By stopping and taking a moment, we can notice how things are changing, and not so much for the negative but rather with a new day dawning. We just have to wait for it and allow the darkness to dissolve into the light.
Wednesday, April 1st – Who Be the Fool – Sun, Mercury, Neptune. Wednesday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon square the Sun and the Moon trine both Mercury and Neptune. We might feel as though our creative abilities are waning, that we just don’t have the wherewithal to pull off our greatest ambitions. This is a day for us to suspend judgment and especially self-judgment. We may feel as if everything is wanting today, our sense of lack. Perhaps we’re feeling stymied by the restrictions placed upon us by the powers-that-be. Although our movements are being limited, we can also use this time to draw upon our fertile mind. We are moving towards another conjunction of Mercury Neptune exact on Friday, this energy configuration of Mercury transiting through Neptune-ruled Pisces having been the bane of our stability and security over the past two months. Here we go again. Our imagination is likely to be ratcheted up, our thinking more emotion-based than rational, and the liability of our making mountains out of molehills, or at the least, exaggerating our concerns. But we have a choice, always our choice. We can either succumb to the victim role and feel sorry for ourselves while the calamities of changing circumstance swallow us up whole or we can utilize our increased sensitivity and intuition to reflect, contemplate and meditate with a recognition of the truth to the statement that ‘god and the universal forces have far greater plans for us than we could have ever imagined for ourselves’. Now is a time for us to bolster ourselves through reconnecting with our soul and our spiritual strength with a recognition that we deal in cycles and not stasis and that things go through continual changes, transitions and transformations. We might be flummoxed by present circumstance, but in the law of cycles ‘this too shall pass’. If we give into our fears, then there is little question as to who be the fool.
Thursday, April 2nd – Every Which Way But Loose – Jupiter, Pluto, Venus, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Mars, Uranus. Thursday begins with the Cancer Moon opposed both Jupiter and Pluto both in Capricorn, and the Moon sextile Venus. The Moon then enters Leo where today the Leo Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed both Saturn and Mars both in Aquarius, and the Moon square Uranus. This is a day for us to attend to matters around our home and to issues associated with family members. Outstanding matters may need to be dealt with. Our emotions are likely to be strong, and we have to avoid looking for any indication that supports negativity. Our imagination is heightened, thanks to tomorrow’s Mercury Neptune conjunction, and we have a choice as to which attitude we wish to engage — victimhood or spiritual strength. We may feel locked into conditions that limit our movements, but they need not limit our perspective. It is interesting to note that some of the most uplifting and inspired literature has been written at times of the very worst of human conditions. Although our present ‘crisis’ can hardly compare with the worst of human conditions, we still have the opportunity of tapping into our spiritual nature and enhancing our faith that ‘in truth, all things do work out’. Either we fall prey to the negativity and fearfulness, or we choose to embrace the realization that life is all about cycles, times when we are riding the crest of the waves, other times when we are liable to be body slammed down into the trough. What cycles teach us is that nothing ever stays the same, and so it is for our present circumstance. Eventually, things will change. As this Thursday unfolds, our attention may turn to creative outlets, whether we chose to be participatory in our own creative expressions or we observe the creative talents of other people. Although we may be champing at the bit to get on with things, we might find our ways blocked, limited, restricted. Let’s keep in mind that these times of paradigm shift also remind us to ‘let go, let god’ as the 12-Step programs suggest. We are entering a new paradigm where things can change suddenly and dramatically without a moment’s notice. It is important that we not get in our own way during the unfolding by trying to force things but rather to be receptive to the unexpected, the unanticipated — what in reality might prove to be magical, even miraculous.
Friday, April 3rd – Darkness or Illumination – Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Neptune, Venus Gemini. Friday continues with the Leo Moon and with the Moon trine the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-six hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo later on Saturday. Mercury conjuncts Neptune, and Venus exits is own Sign of Taurus to enter Gemini. We have the opportunity today of broadening our mind, taking on a more philosophical approach, and coming to a realization that no matter what is going on we have the ability not only to survive circumstance but to actually thrive through our conditions. Our emotions and imaginations are heightened today. We may hear news that seems distressing, but before we buy into what is being presented as valid and factual, it would be important, as I often suggest, ‘to check the source and check their agenda’. This is a day for us to discipline our mind, and not put on blinders to see only what is right in front of us, but rather to draw upon our ‘inner knowing’, to bolster our faith, and appreciate that we have the wherewithal to successfully meet any challenge. The Sign change of Venus is significant, for we shall have the inclination to broaden the sources of input we take in by engaging people that might have a different spin on things rather than just the newspeak being promulgated.
Saturday, April 4th – Input and Action – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto. Saturday begins with the Void-of-Course Moon continuing its transit of Leo and making no connections to the planets. Later in the day, the Moon exits Leo to enter Virgo where today the Moon squares Venus. Venus trines Saturn, and Jupiter conjuncts Pluto. If we didn’t get sideswiped yesterday by our imagination or by our fears, then this Saturday allows us to figure a way out of all the messes we have encountered and even created for ourselves. Sometimes, we are so closed off by our familiar and our usual that we do not entertain input from other sources. This Saturday suggests that we listen to someone who may have other ideas, other approaches, and other sentiments other than our normal information sources. We might hear something or learn something that could provide options and alternatives we had not taken into account. Even if we cannot move ahead with new ideas, we can certainly strategize and develop a best practices approach to implement for our goals when the time is right.
Sunday, April 5th – Better Ways – Uranus. Sunday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon trine Uranus in the early morning hours. Sunday allows us to take a different trajectory to what we have been doing and how we have been doing it. We may have the opportunity to streamline our operations and be more effective with less expenditure of energy. We could even see some of the benefits that might arise out of the restrictive conditions we have been placed under during this pandemic. It would be wise for us to give thought as to how the disruptions of these times are seeding a new way of doing things. This Spring into the Summer, and more so during the next two and a half years into 2023, throw wide open the door to the technological revolution. Every sector of our economy is likely to transform over the next three years. The change is not merely a’coming, the change is on our doorstep. With our mobility and movements limited right now, it would be a good time for us to contemplate and reflect upon how the landscape of our lives may alter dramatically in the days ahead with the opportunity of life becoming easier, more streamlined and with a greater focus on purpose and true meaning. We are not going back to ‘same old, same old’, but like the Greek mythological bird the phoenix we too could rise from the ashes to soar ever higher.
