The astrology for this week of February 24th through March 1st of 2020 allows us to be productive and highly effective if we would fine-tune our perspective, blend our foresight with practical implementation, maintain a persistent determination, and not give into our anxieties or our fears.
This week has a Stellium [a configuration of three or more planets in one Sign] in both Pisces and in Capricorn. The sextile, or 60 degree angle, between the two Signs provides a harmonious connection. Although our emotions may be heightened, we can harness our sensitivity and draw upon our imagination to come up with the right template as to how best to proceed with our activities. With a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to consider alternative means to expedite our progress, this week allows us to accomplish a great deal.
We do need to keep aware of the Mercury retrograde with its effect of Murphy’s Law where ‘whatever can go wrong could go wrong’. Already, miscommunications and misunderstandings seem rampant. And with the heavy emphasis upon the Water element, we should be aware of the liability of flash floods from intense storm systems and the flooding of riverbanks from the snowmelt.
We also should be cognizant that people are still very much on edge, often based upon projections rather than true reality. A hypercritical disposition could create issues in our relationships, especially towards the end of this week. We may want what we want the way that we want it, but that may not jibe with the universal unfolding or the interests of other people.
The week begins with us feeling attuned to our personal destiny. Whatever we set our sights on, we could find ourselves pushing forward strongly with determined intent. It would be wise for us to consider our week before racing forward, for once set into motion we might have difficulty deviating from our focus.
We may be more aware of the circumstances in which we find ourselves to begin the week and better able to adapt to our environment, but as the week progresses our self-assertiveness might negate any indications contrary to our desires and expectations.
As we end the week, we have to be wary that we don’t feel like an ‘island unto ourself’, concentrate solely on what we want, and close ourselves off to the magic and miracles of these times. Not only could our relationships suffer, but we might miss surprising opportunities that may come our way.
The weekend can have us off on a shopping spree preparing for the impending Spring season that we feel is just around the corner. We are likely to be in a fix up mode over the weekend — whether the fix up is related to our personal wardrobe for the coming warmer weather or to our home with our planning for outdoor activities over the next few months.
We might end the weekend and this week in a bit of a dither with a liability of misunderstandings and miscues.
Monday, February 24th – Off and Running – Neptune, Jupiter, Sun, Mars. We begin the week with the Moon in Pisces and with the Moon conjunct Neptune, and the Moon sextile Jupiter. The Sun sextiles Mars. With the harmonious connection between the Pisces-transiting planets and the Capricorn-transiting planets today through tomorrow, the first two days of this week can allow us to feel guided in taking our most expeditious steps towards advancing our interests. Our emotions could be heightened and our intuitive sense attuned to a best practices approach. By drawing upon proper planning, we may accomplish a great deal. The essential characteristics to these two days are focus and concentration. Whatever catches our fancy could have us off and running. Once in motion, there may be no stopping us, but the key to the success of these two days is envisioning what we intend to do before starting out and with a ‘can do’ attitude that the wind is to our back. If we could avoid unnecessary distractions and have the solitude to ‘feel out’ the right approach, then our steps are likely to be swift and quick and geared to successful results.
Tuesday, February 25th – Staying True to our Intent – Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Mercury. Tuesday continues with the Moon completing its transit of Pisces and with the Moon in the early morning hours sextile both Pluto and Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries today. The Sun conjuncts Mercury. We stay with the effectiveness of the Pisces – Capricorn connections, which allow us to blend our intuitive sense with practical implementation. Monday and much of Tuesday help us fit the pieces neatly into the puzzle, everything falling into place as we draw upon our sense of ‘inner knowing’. The success to Monday and Tuesday is largely a result of our maintaining humility, neither getting carried away by the ease of our accomplishments, nor by our trumpeting our talents and abilities. By being receptive as to how best to proceed, we can be attuned to the natural rhythms and pace ourselves accordingly. As the day progresses, we might feel invincible and fall back into the old mindset of being in total control of our circumstance rather than a more humble attitude of being co-creators of our destiny with the universal unfolding, the disposition far more productive during these times of paradigm shift.
Wednesday, February 26th – Getting in Our Own Way – Mars, Mercury. One of the frailties of humankind is an assumption that things unfold in a straight-line, sequential manner. When things are going well, we buy into a belief that our good fortune will continue unabated. And when things are going badly for us, we have difficulty believing that our misfortunes will ever end. Astrology speaks to cycles, the ebb and flow in the natural rhythms, with an ability to understand when ‘the force’ is with us and other times when we might be sorely challenged. Monday and early Tuesday of this week might have had various things occurring easily, naturally, with little input on our part other than going with the unfolding. Late on Tuesday, we might have felt that we had to get a better handle on the control of situations, and therein lies the problem on this Wednesday and more so tomorrow, Thursday. Wednesday has the Aries Moon square Mars in Capricorn. Mercury sextiles Mars. Although we could easily figure out a best practices approach and template, our egotistical need to be in control can get in the way. As if a challenge to our personal self, we might feel that we have to force our will upon our circumstances. A certain arrogance could be our undoing today, as things easily put together the past two days are unraveled by our need to put more of our personal mark on the conditions. Wednesday and Thursday are two days this week that could provide evidence of our getting in our own way leading to our own undoing. Let’s try to restrain the impulse to control and be master of situations. Our personal self against the universal unfolding may seem an easy victory but might turn out to be a case of our inevitable defeat.
Thursday, February 27th – Liable Major Screw-ups – Jupiter, Venus, Pluto, Saturn. Thursday continues with the Aries Moon with the Moon conjunct Venus and the Moon square the Capricorn-transiting planets of Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus early on Friday morning. This is one of those days when we are liable to make severe mistakes by reason of our pushing forward ‘come hell or high water’. We are likely to be in an expansive mood, feeling ever so entitled and expecting everything to fall into place the way that we want it no matter the conditions or circumstance. While Monday and Tuesday might had us easy sledding with few hiccups, we may have been more attuned then to what was going on, less belligerent and less narcissistic. But that was then, this is now. With a focus on our personal desires this Thursday, we could easily put on our blinders and merely see what is straight ahead of us and see only what we want to see. Such an attitude could be a prescription for disaster. Whatever we are choosing to do today, we might experience pushback from regulations and authority figures, or from the universe itself. This is a day when we might decide to role-play the character Sisyphus with the boulder we are trying to roll up the mountain rolling back on us repeatedly. This is a day when our arrogance or our past misdeeds could come back and bite us on the backside.
Friday, February 28th – Productive, If Only – Uranus, Mercury, Mars, Sun, Venus, Pluto. What a difference a day makes. We might have struggled yesterday, but our struggles would have been tied largely to our self-absorption and our entitlement expectation that what we wanted should be aligned with the atmospheric energies. Nice concept, but life does not work that way. Cycles are life patterns with times of riding the waves, other times of body slams from the crash of the waves. Friday is a completely different story. The Moon enters Taurus early in the day with the Taurus Moon conjunct Uranus, the Moon sextile Mercury, the Moon trine Mars, and the Moon sextile the Sun. Venus squares Pluto, and Mercury sextiles Uranus. This Friday can be a highly productive day, a day when we could virtually move mountains. We do have to be wary that we maintain consideration of other people’s interests and not step on any toes. If things seem easy for us, we may decide to crow our talents to one and all, and spread our wings a little too wide for our own good. Friday might have us gain some major insights and understanding. Serendipitous encounters, surprising news, and streamlined methods can be part of the magic of this day and open us to a productive and effective weekend through Sunday morning. Let’s bear in mind that it is essential that we be open to receive and that these times of paradigm shift are times when things can happen in a most unexpected manner.
Saturday, February 29th – Leaping Lizards – Neptune, Jupiter. Saturday is a leap day of a leap year, an extra day and we could be highly thankful for this one. The Moon continues its transit of Taurus with the Moon today sextile Neptune, and the Moon trine Jupiter. From the start of yesterday, we are on a productive roll, which continues through this Saturday and on into Sunday morning. We may have the intuitive sense of what goes where, and we can accomplish a great amount in a short period of time. Nothing is likely to fall between the cracks, for we are aware of the specifics involved and how best to present things. Our confidence is strong with a logical approach to our methods. This would be a good day to fix things around our home, go shopping for our Spring wardrobe, or to have a personal makeover. We are likely feeling good and looking good, and our optimism could prove contagious. This is a day to deal with practical matters and to add a little finesse and panache to our personal appearance and our environment.
Sunday, March 1st – Finishing Touches Before Havoc Descends – Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury. Sunday has the Moon completing its transit of Taurus with the Taurus Moon today trine both Pluto and Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini where today the Gemini Moon squares Mercury. Our productivity and effectiveness in dealing with pragmatic manners over the past two days crescendo on this Sunday morning. It would be wise for us to complete various matters and deal with any pressing needs in the morning hours. We can conclude significant matters early in the day before the Moon moves into Gemini and the Moon squares Mercury. This day sees our focus shift from an attentive ability to deal with things step-by-step without being distracted or forgetting any essential components, and presenting our projects in a tasteful and appealing manner. Our shift then turns to a broader perspective with wider consideration of all the possibilities that we can pursue. Unfortunately, the liability of taking off the blinders and moving from our singular, pragmatic focus to a broader realm of consideration is the likelihood of our becoming engaged with any number of distractions and diversions, some of which might prove to be mindless escapades. Variety becomes the spice of our life, but we have to be wary today not to make it too spicy.
