The astrology for this week of October 7th through the 13th of 2019 has some choppy waters that need us to be astute and mindful as we navigate the swirling currents.
We start the week with a curveball liable to knock us off center, frustrate us, and delay our forward movements. It is essential that we engage tai chi moves whereby we gauge the energies and then work with the energies rather than trying to push through according to our own personal whims. Forceful movements by us may only trigger a nasty pushback.
This is a week for us to recognize the truth to the mantram of transformation: adapt or die.
While we might stumble to begin the week, it is important that we mute our reaction and avoid resentment or an aggressive retort.
Let’s keep in mind that the universe does work. The patterns of unfolding may have changed along with the paradigm shift from sequential, linear reality of beginning, middle and end into asequential reality whereby things occur in a most unexpected manner, almost random manner. This shift allows things to change dramatically in a nanosecond and in a way that we might judge as having neither rhyme nor reason. These are dynamic times, even if disruptive and unsettling, and trigger the opportunities for major transformation.
Despite the hiccups that might occur to begin the week, the mid to latter part of the week seem more placid with the ability of being receptive to the blessings in our lives and a quieter sense that things in deed work out in the end. We could have a greater feeling that despite the chaos in the world at large, we can manifest both joy and productivity in our daily life.
The weekend may prove a different matter. We could be off to the races as we engage fun activities and put our personal imprint upon our choices. We might step on someone’s toes as we accentuate our own personal interests, but we’re feeling good, expansive, and unlikely to allow anyone or anything to dampen our spirits.
We end the week with a crescendo on Sunday with the Aries Full Moon.
Monday, October 7th – Fly Right – Mars, Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Uranus, Sun, Saturn. Monday begins the week with various curveballs liable to be thrown at us. The week begins with the Aquarius Moon trine Mars and the Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon square Mercury in Scorpio, and the Moon square Uranus in Taurus. Mercury opposes Uranus, and the Sun squares Saturn. We might awaken on this Monday with various unanticipated events getting in our way. Although we might be ready to advance our interests and projects, not everything is likely to go according to plan. There can be some nasty surprises, and there could certainly be issues with travel, communications, technology, and the Internet. An adverse aspect between Mercury and Uranus is my least favorite connection for air travel, and I try to avoid flights at these times. But problems might not be merely associated with air travel. Communications can be off, and we have to be careful that we’re not miscommunicating or misinterpreting. People could run with what they hear, see and want with nothing solid to back up their assumptions. If we feel tied up by circumstance and every which way but loose, let’s avoid getting despondent or feeling like the wind has been knocked out of our sails. It’s important that we keep in mind the volatility of these disruptive times and work with the energies operating rather than trying to force them to our will. Today may be frustrating, but it doesn’t have to totally stop us in our tracks.
Tuesday, October 8th – Better and Brighter – Sun, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus Scorpio. We might have felt as though yesterday we were either running in place or doing the two-step with one step forward, two steps back. This Tuesday is a totally different scenario. The Moon continues its transit of Aquarius with the Moon today trine the Sun, and the Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twenty-one and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces tomorrow. Venus exits its own Sign of Libra and enters Scorpio, a Sign in which Venus is in Detriment and uncomfortable. The Venus Sign change ends the Stellium of three in Libra, but triggers a Mutual Reception with Mars, with both in the Sign ruled by the other and both in Detriment. We can be feeling more together today than yesterday, able to walk on the sunny side of the street, and with a greater sense of optimism and confidence. Someone might say something or do something that makes us feel as if all’s right in the world, at least our personal world. This is a day when our discussions can be compelling and may win advocates to whatever we might be selling. As the day progresses, we are likely to maintain our ‘feel good’ attitude with a desire to share it with someone.
Wednesday, October 9th – Depth of Connection – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Uranus. Wednesday continues with the Moon Void-of-Course in Aquarius with the Moon making no connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Aquarius. The Moon then moves into Pisces where today the Moon trines Venus and the Moon sextiles Uranus. Although we are living in burlesque-like conditions with crazy-making antics all around, there are times when we can reach out and connect with a stabilizing factor to help us through the night. This Wednesday could be one of those times. Whether it’s our deeply felt feelings for someone, our sense of future goals we wish to realize, or a level of detachment from the apparent goings-on; our sense of connection helps us to go deeper on an inner level, touch base with our spirit and seek a soulful expression for ourselves today. If we allow things to unfold and not get in our own way, we can be guided towards ‘right’ action and an acceptance that our process is unfolding in a natural manner, even if the unfolding seems to be a series of starts and stops. This is a day when we can get some ‘ah-ha’ moments and realize that we each have a personal destiny with that destiny propelled along by forces beyond our own intentions. Wednesday and Thursday of this week provide the energy for us to connect with our essence and can comfort us during these times of storm-tossed seas.
Thursday, October 10th – Listening to the Muse – Mercury, Saturn, Neptune. Thursday continues with the Pisces Moon with the Moon today trine Mercury, the Moon sextile Saturn, and the Moon conjunct Neptune. Yesterday and today are highly sensitive days, days when our emotions are enhanced. While there can be mood swings, we could also tap into an inner voice, an understanding and knowing that goes beyond the reasoning, rational mind and accentuates the intuitive. Our sense of things may be spot on today with us able to engage spirit in action. If we draw upon foresight and a willingness to listen to our muse, this is a day when we could move our projects forward easily and expeditiously. It may seem that everything fits neatly together if we allow it to occur and not get in our own way by second guessing ourselves. With our sensitivity ratcheted up we also need to protect ourselves from the bombardment of stimuli, much of which is on a negative vibe that can provoke anxiety and a sense of helplessness. Let’s tune out the negative, quiet the mind, and breath in the tranquility and serenity of being one with the source. These two days of Wednesday and Thursday can either be highly restorative or they can be a jumble of nerves — our choice, always our choice.
Friday, October 11th – Too Much, Not Enough, Just Right – Jupiter, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday continues with the Pisces Moon with the Moon today square Jupiter, and the Moon sextile Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nineteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries early on Tuesday. In the US, this weekend is the Columbus Day [Indigenous Peoples Day] holiday weekend and often seen as the ‘leaf peeping’ weekend with scores of people streaming out of the cities to view the colorful landscape with its tree leaves turning all sorts of colors. We may try to do a lot before we start the weekend, but the question will be if we are trying to do too much. It would be best to prioritize the activities we wish to accomplish before the start of the weekend. And the weekend may start early with many people excusing themselves from their routine matters before the end of the day. If we would avoid overwhelm, and that’s where prioritizing comes in, then we could get several matters out of our way, resolved and concluded. As life is a wild and wide swing of emotions and activities, we have to be wary of the Goldilocks syndrome of too much, not enough, until we come to just right. This Friday can either have us rushing to complete certain matters or we could blow off the whole day to start our weekend early. A balance between pressing needs of things to be done and our insistent desire to get off the track of our regular routine would help us get from too much or not enough to just right. Let’s keep in mind that during these disruptive times, and these seemingly chaotic and crazy-making times, the keys for us to maintain a semblance of sanity are awareness, mindfulness, maintaining balance and finding equilibrium.
Saturday, October 12th – My Wants, Your Needs – Mars, Venus, Uranus. Saturday could prove dicey with our relationships. The Moon enters Aries where today the Moon opposes Mars. Venus opposes Uranus. We are also in the light of tomorrow’s Aries Full Moon. There may be a push – pull, a tug of war, with someone today. What we want and what they need could be diametrically opposed. If we owe someone money or they owe us, this is a day when the debt might be called. It would be wise for us to embrace Shakespeare’s admonition by Polonius in Hamlet:
“Neither a borrower nor a lender be,
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,”
This could be a day when we need to walk gingerly and talk softly in our interactions with other people. People might be looking more after their own self interests, question any change occurring for someone else and with a liability of seeing the half glass of water as half empty. Diplomacy is called for. There can be serendipitous encounters, bumping into people, but we need to be sure that they don’t put the squeeze on us. This Saturday is one dicey day that calls for boundaries.
Sunday, October 13th – Light of the Moon – Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Sun, Aries Full Moon, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday has the Aries Full Moon trine Jupiter, and the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed the Sun, and the Moon square both Saturn and Pluto both in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eighteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus on Monday. The Sun sextiles Jupiter. We may be more in recreational and party mode than wanting to deal with responsibilities. We might have all sorts of conflicting interests today, but our choice of what we shall engage may be largely determined by whatever catches our fancy. We could be all over the place today, trying to satisfy someone else’s needs or dealing with obligations. Or we could blow the day off and just do whatever we choose to do. If we can get out of town, we’ll use whatever justification in order to do so.
