The astrology for this week of September 2nd through the 8th of September allows us to concentrate on the details all the while that we are focused on our long-term goals.
The week begins in the US with Labor Day, a traditional signal to the unofficial end of summer. Whether we have gotten back into the swing of our everyday routine or we still have been luxuriating in summertime activities, this week directs us more towards our usual daily patterns. And the astrology this week supports our getting back on track and attending to our mundane matters.
There is not a great deal of energy to start the week. Although acknowledging the muffled call to get back to work, we are more interested in one final hurrah to end our summer activities. Social engagements may highlight the beginning of our week with the tenor being ‘the more the merrier’.
With an assumption that we can do virtually anything and everything, indulgence might plague us and could have us looking at a wide palette of possibilities. Fortunately, the early part of the week has us weeding through our prospects, considering the specifics of those involvements we are thinking to engage, and paring down the wildest of our dreams.
Last week pulled back the veil of dimensions and offered us a view of how things can be in the paradigm shift. Unexpected events, interesting contacts, and things arising out of the blue may have given cause to the belief in magic and mini-miracles. We were bedazzled by the Virgo-transiting planets trining Uranus throughout the week.
This week is considerably different, for this week has three of the Virgo-transiting planets, Venus and Mercury and the Sun, triggering the Mutable T-Square as first Venus and then Mercury and then the Sun square Jupiter, followed by Venus and Mercury opposed to Neptune.
This is a week to appreciate the surprising gifts, or insights, we may have garnered last week but to keep our wits about us this week and not assume that every outreach or stretch will work in our favor. If we maintain a semblance of focus and prioritize our activities, then we can accomplish a great deal without getting carried away by the wide range of possibilities.
Let’s utilize our Stellium in Virgo to maintain awareness of the particulars, all the while that we are advancing our goals strategically and effectively. Too much might just be too much, while just right may be just right.
Monday, September 2nd – Ooh You’re a Holiday – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Mars, Venus, Jupiter. Monday begins the week in the US with Labor Day, the long holiday weekend that is the unofficial end to the summer season. Whether we have gotten back on track of our regular everyday life or not, this day often symbolizes the last hurrah of the summer season. We may feel the pressure of our everyday world impinging on us even as we seek out good times with good friends. Just as life is a balance of various, often conflicting, interests, today is a good day to find the balance between our personal responsibilities and our social engagements. The day begins with the Libra Moon square Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for fifteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio late in the day. The Sun conjuncts Mars, and the ‘two good guys’ of the zodiac, Venus and Jupiter, square each other. If we work with time in a qualitative manner rather than merely a quantitative measure, then we could accomplish a great deal during the morning hours, leaving us time to gad about with other people in celebration of the summer season that we might feel to be too guickly ending. We do have to avoid overdoing today. We might want one last hurrah to close out summer, but it would be wise to keep in mind the ramifications, and possible unintended consequences, of our actions and any indulgences.
Tuesday, September 3rd – Impassioned Drive – Uranus, Mars, Mercury, Sun, Saturn. Tuesday can have us ratcheting up our energy and our activity. We may be interested in cutting to the core and dealing with the most significant aspects of our life. We could have a sense of ‘out with the old’ in order to make space for the new or for the starting of our new year. Certainly in the US, we seem to get back into the swing of our routine after Labor Day. And this Tuesday gives us an incredible thrust to rid ourselves of the outmoded with the intention of aggressively advancing our goals. The Scorpio Moon opposes Uranus, the Moon sextiles Saturn, and the Moon sextiles three of the four Virgo-transiting planets with the Moon sextile Mars, Mercury and the Sun. In addition, we have those three Virgo-transiting planets conjunct, with the Sun conjunct Mercury and Mercury conjunct Mars. This is a good day to get our house in order both in our clearing out useless stuff and in presenting ourselves in a well put-together manner. We can be highly effective today, focus on the fundamentals and do so in a convincing manner. We may feel as though we are on turbo-drive with an ability to express ourselves clearly, concisely and with great panache. We may not choose to reveal everything that is going on with us, but we can offer some golden nuggets of information to our listeners.
Wednesday, September 4th – Pathway to Hell – Venus, Neptune, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Early Wednesday allows us to continue with the thrust of energy that we might have felt yesterday to deal with our mundane matters. The day begins with the Scorpio Moon sextile Venus, the Moon trine Neptune, and the Moon sexile Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over sixteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius late in the day. While these energies today are conducive to fueling the fires of our productivity and effectively focusing on our most important matters, the fly in the ointment today is Venus opposed Neptune. If we do not keep track of both the big picture and the specifics necessary to realize our goal, then we could either get lost in the details or on the contrary gloss over the particulars with the assumption that everything will fall neatly into place. This is a day to keep our cards pretty close to our chest, keep our head down and do what we feel needs to be done. Drawing upon other people’s input might only confuse or distract us. Any self-esteem issues can give more credence to someone else’s opinion than our own rational judgment. They say ‘the pathway to hell is paved with good intentions’ and that could prove true if we listen to someone’s suggestions, accept them completely and not use our due diligence. There are times when our insecurities belittle our own input and give someone greater knowledge of our situation. Today may be one of those days.
Thursday, September 5th – Measure Twice, Cut Once – Mars, Sun, Mercury, Saturn. Thursday has the Sagittarius Moon on a two-day transit of squaring the Virgo-transiting planets. Today, the Moon squares Mars and the Sun. Tomorrow, the Moon squares the other two Virgo-transiting planets of Mercury and Venus. Mercury trines Saturn. The importance of taking our time and strategizing our moves is paramount today. We could be fast out of the starting gate without considering where we are going, what we are doing, and why we’re doing it. We need to put the brakes on, figure things out first before we start out on our day. We may be in a highly expansive mood, ready to take on the world and even have the sense that we can bend conditions to our will. And perhaps we can, but it would be far more intelligent for us to consider the parameters in which we’re operating and how best to achieve successful results. Brain before brawn today may save us a great deal of aggravation and also utilize our efforts to their most effective. This is a day when we could work smarter rather than harder, and be more effective with less expenditure of energy.
Friday, September 6th – Bull in a China Shop – Jupiter, Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Saturn, Venus, Pluto. Thursday and Friday are two days when we have the opportunity, or really the challenge, of having our head in the clouds but our feet firmly planted on the ground. We continue with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today squaring the other two Virgo-transiting planets of Mercury and Venus. The Moon also opposes Neptune triggering the Mutable Sign T-Square. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eighteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn on Saturday morning. Our enthusiasm could spiral into irrational exuberance. Mercury squares Jupiter, and we may think that all things are possible with us willing to test our belief. No matter how much trouble we get ourselves into today, taking a more serious bent allows us to apply the brakes and recalibrate whatever we have set into motion. While it would have been important to be wary of someone’s advice on Wednesday, Friday is a good day to use a solid confidante as a sounding board. If we don’t slow things down, someone can apply pressure for us to take things down a notch or two and help us employ our enthusiasm in a grounded, focused manner.
Saturday, September 7th – Fog before Clarity – Uranus, Mercury, Neptune. Saturday has the Moon moving into Capricorn where late in the day the Moon trines Uranus. Mercury opposes Neptune. This week has had a seesaw of first Venus then Mercury squaring Jupiter and then opposing Neptune and in the process triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square, the T-Square of which was ratcheted up over the past two days with the Moon transiting Sagittarius and hitting off the Virgo-transiting planets, Jupiter, and Neptune. We may be a little groggy as we start this Saturday. Can we say ‘overwhelmed’ by all the mixed signals that have gone during this week? Although we could be slightly confused by all the varying input and external stimuli we may have received over the week, let’s keep in mind that this week might be truly the first week when we have gotten back into harness of our regular routine. Like a sailor coming off shore leave and having difficulty getting their sea legs, we may have had some problems getting back into the swing of things of our regular life. If we would quiet our mind today, our intuitive sense could be highly attuned. We can contemplate a best practices approach to realize our goals. Late in the day, we might decide upon a different trajectory, put our spirit into action, and determine to streamline our operations and forego the engagement of ‘same old, same old’. We are in exciting times.
Sunday, September 8th – Steady as She Goes – Mars, Saturn, Sun, Neptune, Mercury, Pluto, Jupiter. Sunday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today conjunct both Saturn and Pluto, and the Moon trine three of the Virgo-transiting planets of Mars, the Sun, and Mercury. The Moon also sextile Neptune. The Sun squares Jupiter, and Mercury trines Pluto. For much of this week we may have been like the Mad Hatter rushing around, thinking that we are late for a very important date. We’ve been dealing with the Mutable Sign T-Square with Venus and Mercury as trigger points. Not that we’re done with the Mutable Sign T-Square, for today it’s the Sun’s turn as the Sun squares Jupiter. Next week, the Sun will oppose Neptune and Mars will try its hand as Mars first squares Jupiter and then opposes Neptune. Despite the high level of nervous energy, which often translates into anxiety, we are also experiencing the Earth Grand Trine that goes on by Sign through the first week of October. With today’s Capricorn Moon, we have the opportunity to get more serious about what we’re doing and how we are doing. Last evening may have given us an ‘ah-ha’ moment when we realized that we could do something different other than our regular routine or deal with our routine differently. This Sunday allows us to implement a solid and steady means to accomplish our goals. Nothing is likely to fall between the cracks today. If we would restrain our overconfidence and take things step-by-step, then we could draw upon both our foresight and our technical skills to advance our interests. No riding the rapids today, for this Sunday is best served by being steady as she goes.
