The astrology for this week of June 17th through the 23rd of 2019, bringing completion to the Spring season and starting up the Summer season, has the energy ratcheted up significantly, especially around the mid-part of this week.
We may have become used to the swings high – swings low that we all have been experiencing in these recent times. This week accentuates the swings with a potentially explosive mid-week. Let’s be careful during this mid-week period.
The week begins with the Sagittarius Full Moon. We may be in a highly creative mood expressed in our projects and in our interactions. We’re not likely to be stepping on anybody’s toes, but we do have to be wary of irrational exuberance to begin the week that could turn sharply nasty during the mid-week.
Just as long as everybody is pleasant with one another, collaborates and expresses interest not only in what we are doing but what other people are doing as well, then this early part of the week can have us flying high.
Unfortunately, Wednesday has two severe energies that can prove difficult to handle. Both Mercury and Mars oppose Pluto. Any misunderstandings or perceived slights could trigger a verbal assault in response and a liability to acting out physically. The energy configurations on this Wednesday are explosive. If we can rein in our emotions, not fall prey to victimhood, then we could also use this energy to decipher any puzzling situations and use our persistence to virtually move mountains. Caution is strongly advised.
The latter part of the week changes our focus from what we feel we have to do towards what we want to do. We might gather together with friends or explore the wide realm of possibilities for our future endeavors.
We come into summer on Friday at the Summer Solstice as the Sun enters the Cardinal Water Sign of Cancer. There is a great deal of emotion as we enter summer and over the weekend. We might prefer to luxuriate at home or escape into a blissful sanctuary.
The liability to indulgence and excess cannot be discounted as we close out the week. If we hit the wall or had a brick thrown at us mid-week, we might seek salves over the weekend. ‘Moderation in all things’ is a wise sentiment but not one that we are likely to heed over the weekend.
Monday, June 17th – Wide World of Creative Possibilities – Sagittarius Full Moon, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus. The week begins with the Sagittarius Full Moon in the early morning hours as the Sagittarius Moon in the Leo decanate opposes the Gemini Sun in the Aquarius decanate. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for close to eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn with the Moon closing out the day with the Capricorn Moon trine Uranus. This can be a highly creative time for us as we look to explore our own creative self-expressions, consider various re-creational pursuits we can engage, or give thought to travel plans of getting out of town. We may feel as though we are operating with all cylinders firing. Our focus might be largely on our own personal interests, but we are also open to fun times with good friends. We could be very upbeat, blinders off, and open to receive some of the mini-miracles of these paradigm-shifting times. Let’s keep in mind that we no longer have to do it all, just to be open to the universe with those magic moments. Whatever inspires us in the early part of the day, we may devise streamlined and expeditious means to accomplish our goals late in the day. We are considering new trajectories for ourselves, whether those trajectories are life changing or only interludes in our regular routine. This is a day to celebrate — celebrate our own talents and abilities and also those of other people. We could all be having great fun today.
Tuesday, June 18th – Percolating Slights – Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, Mars. After a fairly buoyant and exuberant Monday, Tuesday shifts the energy with a liability towards a deadening sense. Today, the Capricorn Moon conjuncts Saturn, and the Moon sextiles Neptune. Saturn sextiles Neptune, and Mercury conjuncts Mars. This is one of those days when it is wise to keep our head down, stay focused on what we need to get done, and avoid getting overly emotional about anything. We can accomplish a great deal today, so long as our moods or our tongue don’t trouble us. People could easily take issue with almost anything that is said. There is a serious attitude that can infect the day and one that might trigger our escaping and getting far away. Avoidance of contentious situations today and especially tomorrow is strongly advised. Irritations can bubble up with even more likelihood of explosions tomorrow. Like a volcano, Tuesday needs some steam vents to release the energy in a more modulated manner. If we allow slights or hurts to fester, they could become eruptive tomorrow with caustic remarks or aggressive actions.
Wednesday, June 19th – Duck, Dodge, Dive – Mars, Pluto, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday is a day when we need to proceed with extreme caution. It is essential that we be careful out there, for this can be one combustible day. There is nothing light and airy about this day. On the contrary, this Wednesday may prove to be one intense day. The Capricorn Moon conjuncts Pluto, and the Moon opposes both Mars and Mercury. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost fifteen hours as the Moon completes its transit of Capricorn without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Aquarius late in the evening. Adding fuel to the fire, both Mercury and Mars oppose Pluto. This Wednesday raises red flags both in regard to our communications and to our physical actions. We are unlikely to brook any interference. People may be belligerent, demanding acceptance of their ideas even to the extent of physically threatening other people. We might also see the intensity of these energy configurations play out in severe atmospheric storm systems or geophysical activity of earthquakes and volcanoes. If we could harness this energy, and that’s a mighty big ‘if’, then we can use this day to virtually move mountains, both in regard to solving perplexing problems by getting to the core issues and in regard to having the persistence and determination to exert physical capacities of which we are not aware. It is essential that we be fully aware, mindful and not to make any knee-jerk reactions today.
Thursday, June 20th – Picking Up the Pieces – Uranus. The Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus today. Whatever might have occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday might seem to have blown away certain matters. Today may be a day when we pick up the pieces. Our focus could be more attuned to what we wish to do in the future, particularly since the last two days might have eliminated some of our past and even present circumstances. After two quite intense days, this Thursday can serve as a ‘mental health’ day, a day to regroup, recharge and reinvigorate. We might prefer to do something out of our ordinary, but it would be wise for us to calculate the expense involved. Thursday may send us some curveballs, unexpected situations that change the course of our day. If we could step away from our daily conditions, that is likely to be our preference. Things may have been shaken up the past day or two, and today would be a good day to alter our perspective and see things from a different viewpoint. Even if we are shell-shocked from the intensity of the past two days, every now and then shocks to the system can upend both complacency and a fatalistic sense of life.
Friday, June 21st – Here Comes the Sun – Venus, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Neptune retrograde, Summer Solstice, Sun Cancer. Friday may seem like a breath of fresh air. The Aquarius Moon today trines Venus, and the Moon sextiles Jupiter before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost twenty-four hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Pisces on Saturday morning. Neptune turns retrograde. The Sun exits Gemini at the time of the Summer Solstice as the Sun enters Cancer, heralding in the northern latitudes the longest day of daylight. The end of this week may be welcome relief, and we might be looking more at social occasions, opportunities to engage someone or other people in uplifting and fun events. Our purpose can be living for the weekend but also as a healthy response to whatever intensity we could have encountered over the mid-week. Taking off early for the weekend may have already occurred yesterday, whether we did so physically or mentally or both. This Friday is a day for us to accentuate the positive, look on the bright side and realize that there is a wide range of good things in our life that we can embrace and enjoy. No Eeyores for us today, for we want to see the good, the positive, the life-affirming.
Saturday, June 22nd – Let the Good Times Roll – Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Uranus. Saturday begins with the completion of the twenty-four hour Moon Void-of-Course as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius without making connection to the planets and before the Moon enters Pisces on this Saturday. The Pisces Moon today trines the Sun and the Moon sextiles Uranus. Having begun with Thursday, this later part of the week through the weekend, can be a highly pleasant period of good times with good friends, and perhaps a necessary salve to the mid-week intensity. This Saturday is a good time for us to spend time at home or with family. Even if we are traveling far afield, this day can be a day of nurture, exploration, and ‘feel good’ disposition. Some exciting events unplanned for could enthrall us as we move through the day. Whether consciously or subconsciously, we could come to the realization that no matter the curveballs thrown at us or the screeching meanies of life’s less than savory incidents, we sometimes have to acknowledge that life is good and offers us a variety of experiences and a circle of friends that make our life fulfilling and highly enjoyable.
Sunday, June 23rd – Too Much of a Good Thing – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Neptune. Sunday continues with the Moon’s transit of Pisces with the Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon conjuncts Neptune and the Moon squares Venus in Gemini, and the Moon squares Jupiter in Sagittarius. The Moon also sextiles Saturn today, and the two ‘good guys’ of the Zodiac, Venus and Jupiter, oppose each other. Although we often question the saying of ‘too much of a good thing’, this Sunday can be one of those days of indulgence and excess, all in the cause of enjoying ourselves and having a good time. As if masking any anxiety about life or what is going on in the world-at-large, we could go for the gold and even more today. Operating from a high level of nervous energy, this Sunday might have us running from one thing to another to yet another. While we are cautioned to engage the sentiment of ‘moderation in all things’, we are unlikely to heed that suggestion today when too much might not be nearly enough. We are more interested in having it all and then some on this Sunday, but we do have to be wary that our desire to fill any void in our life does not leave us with a hangover as an aftertaste.
