May 6th – 12th, 2019

The astrology for this week of May 6th through the 12th of 2019 can have us being more practical with the ability of thinking outside the box and streamlining our operations.

We may be juggling any number of things this week, but we should be used to that by now. The acceleration in life and in our living has ratcheted up over recent years, and we could have determined a good way of picking up the pace without dropping the ball.

The early part of the week accentuates the juggling process. We continue with the Mutable Sign T-Square by Sign with Mars in Gemini, Jupiter in Sagittarius, and Neptune in Pisces. We can be dealing with a high-energy frequency. Let’s keep in mind that these times call for us to be playing the xylophone Lionel Hampton-like and not the one note Samba of Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Diverse projects could keep us running at full tilt but would also prevent us from having too much time on our hands to worry about this and that concern, much of which might not directly affect us or might not even occur.

We have a major Sign change to begin the week. Mercury exits Aries and enters Taurus, thereby triggering a Stellium of three planets in the Fixed Earth Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Uranus in Taurus.

Spring is likely to be more evident on the country landscape and in the weather with flowers blossoming, trees opening in full leaf, and the temperatures warmer. We are moving into seed-planting time and that can be both literal and figurative. We may be a great deal more focused on the steps along the way, even with us rushing around trying to do countless things.

Finding ways to express our creative talents without stepping on toes or coloring outside the lines could be challenging this week.

The more we can be open to possibilities and not limited by our past experiences, the more we might discover the magic of these times with those mini-miracles that seem to occur out of nowhere. Let’s keep our antennae up, work with peripheral vision, and realize that we don’t have to do it all. The universe works and may provide us with some interesting ‘ah-ha’ moments in the mid-part of the week.

Reunions and reconnections could be accentuated this week, whether we actually attend social gatherings or give thought to the parade of people that have peppered our lives over the years. The sense of new and old may be heightened with us recognizing that we are stepping away from past involvements and ready to embrace new connections more resonant with our present being.

The weekend is geared for fun activities and re-creational pursuits. Enjoying ourselves is a tonic that nourishes us and reinvigorates.

We close out the weekend with Mother’s Day and a sincere appreciation of those mothers who have cared for us. Paying homage to Mom respects where we have come from and might even give us a thrust of energy to move ahead in practical and streamlined ways.

Monday, May 6th – Being Practical Amidst the Frenzy – Mercury Taurus. Monday begins the week with the Moon transiting Gemini but making no connections to the planets. Just by its transit of Gemini, the Moon adds fuel to the Mutable Sign T-Square, a fact that will be far more evident tomorrow. Monday and Tuesday could have us running around, more so tomorrow than today. The key to this time is for us not to get swept up in the frenzy. We may want to focus on time in a qualitative manner rather than a quantitative measure. We might all be experiencing a tendency to try and do any number of things, often all at once. The primary energy shift on this Monday is Mercury exiting Aries to enter Taurus with Mercury triggering a Stellium of three planets in the Earth Fixed Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Uranus in Taurus. Our thoughts could be less self-focused and can have us directing our ideas to practical application. We are moving into seed planting time, a time when we can engage our passion in methodical and rational ways to move our goals forward. We might still have a great number of ideas in mind, but we are less likely to act in knee-jerk reactions and take a more considered approach in everything that we do.

Tuesday, May 7th – Come Hell or High Water – Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Saturn. Tuesday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today more fully engaging the Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Neptune, the Moon opposes Jupiter, and the Moon conjuncts Mars. The Moon sextiles Venus, and Venus squares Saturn. We may be hell bent to spread our wings, fly on the air currents, focus on our future goals and proceed with everything but what we need to attend to. Although we might prefer to be free flying on this Tuesday with few restraints and able to take things as they come, we could experience ourselves more like a falcon tied by our talons to our responsibilities and obligations. We may have some grand ideas, but someone might dismiss them and like a leaking balloon our excitement can deflate. The liability for extreme action cannot be discounted, and any naysayers to our plans could prove to be our saviors. This is a day for us to expend our energy, entertain a varied assortment of possibilities but to also use a trusted confidante as a sounding board. No need to waste our energy on implausible ideas, no matter the magic of these times. Let’s consider our options but utilize due diligence before we move forward into new directions.

Wednesday, May 8th – Out of Our Own Way – Uranus, Mercury, Sun, Neptune. Whether we made a mess of things over the past two days or not, this Wednesday allows things to straighten out. We could have put pedal to the metal over the past two days, racing around with much of our attention focused on forward movement and our future endeavors with scarcely a glance in our rearview mirror. Wednesday can be one of those magical days if we don’t muck things up by getting in our own way. The Moon enters Cancer where today the Moon sextiles both Mercury and Uranus. Mercury conjuncts Uranus, and the Sun sextiles Neptune. We are in the process of a paradigm shift, a major transformation in how life operates. We are moving from linear, sequential reality where things have a sequence of beginning, middle and end, and we are moving into an asequential reality where things occur in the most inexplicable manner, virtually as if coming out of the blue. This paradigm shift may feel like we are moving into a phase of magic and mini-miracles. This Wednesday can have us bear witness to unexpected situations. Changes may be evident today and not so much of our making as our being in the right place at the right time. We can get some startling insights today, those ‘ah-ha’ moments of incredible clarity. Things may occur without our making them happen. And we might feel guided as though some guardian angel is directing us along our right path. This is an exciting day, but we have to avoid trying to control situations. The more we try to control, the more likely we are to get a lateral lobotomy, one of those whacks on the side of the head from the universe. As the 12-step program suggests, ‘let go, let god’ today, and we might just be surprised by what occurs. We do need to have our antennae up, work with peripheral vision, and be open to receive.

Thursday, May 9th – Trust in the Process – Neptune, Sun, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Pluto, Venus, Jupiter. Yesterday could have allowed us to look behind the thin veil that separates dimensions. We might have stepped into a little bit of magic with several mini-miracles. That was yesterday and a fond memory to keep in mind as indicative of what we are moving towards. This Thursday may seem to recall some of the moments of splendor, but we seem back on the ground and back in the push pulls of our mundane life. The Cancer Moon today trines Neptune, the Moon sextiles the Sun, and the Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed both Saturn and Pluto both in Capricorn and the Moon square Venus. Venus trines Jupiter, and Venus squares Pluto. Possibilities and realities could be in conflict today. We would prefer to be walking in sunshine, but something or someone could prove a rainmaker. It would be important for us to see whether we wish to embrace the uplifting and the vast potentials ahead of us or if we choose to fall prey to victimhood and a sense of being blocked at every turn. Thursday may be a day of extremes with our emotions heightened and a liability of wild mood swings. One moment, we can be irrationally exuberant, the next moment despairing of our inabilities. Similar to life itself, this day calls for us to find the balance, to keep a firm rein on our emotions and not be swung about by the energies. Any delays, while frustrating, could be fortuitous. Let’s keep in mind that everything in our life is all about timing. Today is one of those times when we may be riding the waves but fearful of a wipe out. No matter the whipsaws today, it would be wise for us to trust in the process.

Friday, May 10th – Creative Endeavors at What Cost – Uranus, Mercury. Friday has the Moon moving into Leo where today the Moon squares both Uranus and Mercury both in Taurus. If we got banged about yesterday by the vagaries of these times and especially bruised after what might have been a sublime Wednesday, we might consider this Friday as a day for us to enjoy ourselves, concentrate upon our own creative expressions, and put ourselves at the top of the heap. While our focus may be on having a good time today, we have to question at what cost. As if to salve any hurt feelings, we could easily go overboard with our spending. We can ratchet up our expenses by impulse buying. We might justify our purchases as springtime necessities, purchases that include home projects, wardrobe additions, personal makeovers, and early weekend celebrations. While Wednesday could have provided us with confirmation of being in the right place at the right time, this Friday can have disruptive issues thrown at us from unexpected sources. Let’s keep in mind that no matter what our schedule for this day can be, there could be some monkey wrenches thrown at us to disrupt our plans. Today is a day to keep in mind the Taoist admonition: “bend like a reed or break like an oak”. Flexibility and adaptability are keys to successfully navigating the currents of these times.

Saturday, May 11th – The Pause that Refreshes – Sun, Saturn. Saturday continues with the Leo Moon with the Moon today square the Sun. The Sun trines Saturn. We may have started the weekend early on Friday. Saturday continues with the Moon’s transit of Leo. Yesterday and today are prime days for us to enjoy ourselves, recharge our batteries and reinvigorate. Creative opportunities and fun events can be a large part of our Friday and Saturday. An interesting aspect of these times is that in moving into an asequential reality we also have the opportunity of working with time in a more qualitative manner than just a quantitative measure. If we could align ourselves with the energies operating, we might find that we are far more productive and effective, and yet also taking the time to refresh and renew. Friday and Saturday of this week are good days for us to enjoy ourselves, but keeping in mind that often the best things in life are free. We have been conditioned into believing that everything has a cost and that the more we pay, the better our experience. Yesterday and today have the liability of our spending more than necessary. We are more grounded today, less liable to be taken advantage of. Let’s find some re-creational activities that come with little or no cost. A walk in nature, a stroll through the neighborhood, picking up a good book to read, or other non-monetary events may provide us with more enjoyment than plunking down a fistful of dollars for some pricey experience.

Sunday, May 12th – Homage to the Mothers – Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus. Sunday is Mother’s Day, a day when we pay our respect and appreciation for our Mothers. And what a perfect day for it energy-wise. We start the day with the Moon finishing its transit of Leo and in so doing the Leo Moon triggers a Fire Grand Trine with the Leo Moon trine Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon trine Venus in Aries. The Leo Moon then sextiles Mars before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost four hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon moves into Virgo where today the Moon trines Uranus. Everyone may be feeling upbeat and concentrating on making the day a joyful one. Even if we have issues with our Mom, and all of us have issues, this is a day to look at the blessings in our lives, the good times with Mom and our original family, and the fun memories of past experiences. As the day proceeds, we can engage in something different, something out of the ordinary to add some sparkle and cap off what can be a wondrous day.
