The astrology for this week of May 20th through the 26th of 2019 ramps up the energy as we feel the impact of the Mutable Sign T-Square re-engaged and move towards the Memorial Day holiday weekend, the unofficial start of Summer.
Our perspective may be more towards our future and foreign endeavors than our present responsibilities as we start the week. Just as nature is opening up and blossoming, so too are we likely to be feeling in an expansionary mood.
Although we have tended towards a more practical approach and more willing to take things step-by-step over the recent weeks, even despite the chaotic frenzy of these times, such a ‘steady as you go’ disposition can be out the window as we move into the week.
Both the Sun and Mercury exit Taurus to enter Gemini on Tuesday. As they do so, they end the Stellium in Taurus, and re-engage the Mutable Sign T-Square that we had experienced from April into mid-May. The breather to a more placid, don’t think we could call it serene, attitude gives way to the heightened energy of racing around, covering any number of bases and with our thoughts rapid and varied but liable to be lacking in judicious consideration.
We may be back on track with juggling ever more. We are more interested in the immediate experience than the reflection on what we are doing.
The sense of the impending summer could have us looking for adventure and willing to purchase the necessary accoutrements for an intended summer of fun.
The weekend in the US is the long Memorial Day holiday, considered the unofficial start of summer. The weekend is a good time for us to enjoy the company of other people, to get out of familiar surroundings, spread our wings and explore the new and the different.
Monday, May 20th – Present but Unaccounted For – Neptune, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins the week with the Moon finishing its transit of Sagittarius, and as it does so the Sagittarius Moon squares Neptune and the Moon conjuncts Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost fourteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn Tuesday morning. While this would be a good day for us to attend to what needs to get done, we could prove missing in action. Even if we have the best of intentions for completing certain matters with the recognition that we are moving towards a long holiday weekend in the US and a weekend that is considered the unofficial start of summer, Monday can either have us spinning our wheels or present in body but absent in thought. We may be feeling upbeat and optimistic but without much focus on steps necessary to realize our goals. We might be more interested in preparing for summer fun times ahead. The weekend is coming, and we are likely to be far more geared towards kicking off summer with some grand celebrations. Neither here nor there, we could be in a la-la-land of idyllic possibilities today. Okay, why don’t we just chalk it up to a ‘mental health’ day?
Tuesday, May 21st – Ratcheting Up, Keeping Together – Mars, Uranus, Venus, Sun, Mercury, Sun Gemini, Mercury Gemini. Tuesday has the Moon moving into Capricorn where today the Moon opposes Mars and the Moon trines both Uranus and Venus both in Taurus. The key energy configurations to this Tuesday are the Sign changes of both the Sun and Mercury as both exit Taurus and both enter Gemini. As they come into Mercury-ruled Gemini, the Sun conjuncts Mercury. This day could prove paradoxical. On the one hand, we may want to deal with our tasks at hand, but on the other hand, we may be champing at the bit to be free and do things on the fly. If we would strategize our day, then we are likely to accomplish both our specific obligations and our desire to engage a multitude of ideas. This is a day for us to ‘work smarter rather than harder’. By streamlining our operations, we can be more effective and more productive. No need to roll the boulder up the mountain when we could winch it up. Time management skills are called for. The Sign change of the Sun and Mercury ends the Stellium of four planets in Taurus and re-engages the Mutable Sign T-Square that we dealt with for six weeks from the beginning of April through mid-May. We had a week’s reprieve from the Mutable Sign T-Square when things may have proceeded at a more leisurely pace. Not so now and not for the next four weeks. We may be back at it, picking up the pace, and taking on ever more projects. We might ratchet up our activity level, but it would be wise for us to keep it together, best done so possibly by our streamlining our operations.
Wednesday, May 22nd – Moving Mountains – Neptune, Saturn, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Uranus. Despite the fact that various distractions can be tantalizing, this Wednesday could be highly productive even to the point of being able to virtually move mountains and doing so effectively and expeditiously. The Capricorn Moon sextiles Neptune, and the Moon conjuncts both Saturn and Pluto. The end of the day has the Moon going Void-of-Course for almost fourteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius tomorrow. Mars sextiles Uranus. Today and early tomorrow are the last times when we can focus, stay on track and get a great deal done before our attention veers to the unofficial kickoff of the summer this weekend. Come the second half of tomorrow, we may check out, whether literally or figuratively, in anticipation of the upcoming weekend. This Wednesday is a good day for detail work, to take care of the specifics and the particulars. If we are able to streamline operations, then we may accomplish more than we might imagine. Today is a day to put the pedal to the metal, focus on what we wish to accomplish, and not be diverted from the tasks at hand. We can get a lot out of the way today, which would free up time for a long, even longer, weekend enjoyment.
Thursday, May 23rd – Screw Loose – Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Uranus. If we got into a productive groove of taking care of business yesterday, then we can continue in the same vein as we start this Thursday. The Capricorn Moon continues to be Void-of-Course with the Capricorn Moon making no connections to the planets. As the day progresses, the Moon exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius where the Moon today trines the Sun and the Moon squares Uranus. Tying up loose ends early on this day would allow us to clean up before we clear out later on this day. While we can have blinders on, head down early in the day and take things step-by-step without allowing anything to fall between the cracks, the latter part of the day has us more interested in engaging new adventures. We may want to sample all sorts of possibilities, but let’s keep in mind that there can be some curveballs that knock our intended plans off the mark. We may be looking at socializing and participating in fun events, but we also have to be wary of the costs involved. Things may turn out to be more expensive than what we had reckoned. Let’s keep in mind the profound cautionary advice: ‘if you want to make god laugh, tell god your plans’. The second half of this day may demand that we be flexible and adaptable to unexpected shifting conditions.
Friday, May 24th – Budgeting Our Ideas – Mercury, Venus. Friday continues with the Aquarius Moon with the Moon today trine Mercury and the Moon square Neptune. We may have some flashes of insight, moments of revelation, regarding what we can do and where we can go in the days ahead. Whether we step away from our mundane routine and stay around home base or we take off for the long weekend, taking some time to think about things could provide some interesting ideas. Discussions with other people may help us see things from a different perspective and open us to alternatives we might not have taken into account. Our thoughts can be wide ranging, but before we implement our ideas it would be wise for us to seriously consider the costs involved. Our desire for fun re-creational involvements might prove more expensive than we anticipated. This is a day to budget our ideas in terms of time, energy and financial investment. We may be starting the long holiday weekend off early in search of good times with good friends.
Saturday, May 25th – Riding the Wave with a Special Someone – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. No matter what we did yesterday, even if we spent more than we reasonably should, we may have gotten a thrust of energy. For this Saturday, we are likely to wake up with a spring in our step, optimistic, confident and looking to enjoy ourselves. The day begins with the Aquarius Moon sextile Jupiter. After this initial thrust of exuberance and good feelings, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over seventeen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces early on Sunday. While the energy dies down, the day starts with a special imprint and opens the door to our doing whatever we choose to do, always looking for the upbeat and pleasurable. Nothing is likely to dampen our mood, and we could be with someone who is feeling as enthusiastic as we are. Optimism can be contagious with us embracing a ‘feel good’ attitude and choosing to walk on the sunny side of the street. This is a day for us to ride the wave with no fear of wiping out.
Sunday, May 26th – Ties – Uranus, Sun, Mars. Sunday has the Moon moving into Pisces where today the Moon sextiles Uranus, the Moon squares the Sun, and the Moon trines Neptune. Our trajectory today may be more determined by someone else or other people than our own choice. The 17th Century poet John Donne coined the true and ageless words: ‘no man is an island’. We are social creatures, and our activities are often influenced, if not decided, by people within our social circle. Such may be the case on this Sunday. We can have certain plans in mind, but something could come up that prevents us from following through. Disruption to our intentions today might prove far more compelling than what we were thinking of doing. Adventures are called for today. If we are willing to be spontaneous and be in the moment, we could discover a grand adventure that reinvigorates us. Family time would seem important, for we can gain the love and true support of those with whom we are close. This Sunday can be a lovely day in spite of ourselves, and if we don’t get in our own way.
