The astrology for this week of May 13th through the 19th of 2019 gives us the impetus to effectively pursue new endeavors or to fortify projects already under way, as long as we concentrate on our personal ambitions and are not distracted by whatever is going on in the world-at-large.
The week begins on Monday with our head down and the ability both to visualize what we wish to accomplish and to draw upon the most expeditious way to realize our goals. We may have a highly effective blend of our intuitive sense and our critical analysis. Success can be achieved by our trusting our instincts and our testing them out through our due diligence.
Although critical analysis is essential to our success, we have to be wary of being too self-critical, looking for an ideal perfection when we are dealing in an imperfect world.
The mid-part of the week is a good time for discussing ideas with other people. Whether we get some interesting suggestions from someone or we come to some startling realization in what we have to say, various pieces to what had been a perplexing puzzle can suddenly fit neatly together.
We have two Sign changes mid-week, as Venus exits Aries to enter Taurus, and Mars exits Gemini to enter Cancer. Venus exits a Sign in which Venus is in Detriment and uncomfortable and moves into a Sign that Venus rules, while Mars enters a Sign in which Mars is in Fall and uncomfortable. These Sign changes increase the impact of Venus and lessen the influence of Mars.
With Venus moving into Taurus, the Stellium in the Fixed Earth Sign increases as Venus joins Uranus, Mercury and the Sun in Taurus. There is a great deal of Earth this week that can have us take a more practical approach as we plant the seeds of our garden — whether literally or figuratively.
With Mars exiting Gemini, we lose the Mutable Sign T-Square that has gone on for the past six weeks and may have contributed to our anxiety with our nervous energy seeking outlets by going from one thing to another, at times trying to juggle too many involvements and doing so more by glossing over significant issues than focused intent.
The latter part of the week could increase our penchant for working smarter rather than harder. We may be less reactive, less prone to knee-jerk reactions that might have plagued us over the past six weeks.
The weekend crescendos with the Scorpio Full Moon and suggests that we do a springtime clean up and clear out in order to make room for new activities that might be more resonant with what we want to do without being tied down by the past and the outmoded.
Monday, May 13th – Great Strides – Neptune, Lunar Grand Trine, Mercury, Saturn, Sun, Pluto. Monday and Tuesday morning of this week can be highly productive thanks to an Earth Grand Trine. Today, the Virgo Moon opposes Neptune and the Moon triggers an Earth Grand Trine as the Moon trines Mercury in Taurus, and the Moon trines Saturn in Capricorn. The Sun trines Pluto. The Virgo Moon creates a Kite pattern chart today. We could accomplish a great deal on this Monday. We need to concentrate on the truly meaningful, prioritize our activities and have a checklist to mark off those ‘to do’ items as we complete them. Not only might we have the foresight and inner knowing of what to do and how to do it. We may also have an indefatigable energy where our determination and perseverance keep us going from breaking day through late at night. This Monday is not a day to waste, since we can get more done today than at other times. If we focus, we might be surprised by how much we can accomplish and with such ease of effort. This is a day for us to ride the wave of effectiveness with the result of being highly successful. Let’s not worry if we don’t get everything done today, for the first half of tomorrow will continue in the same vein.
Tuesday, May 14th – Keeping it Real – Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Mars, Lunar Grand Trine, Pluto, Sun, Venus. Yesterday and early today could have us being highly accomplished, dealing with practical matters and bringing various matters to conclusion. Monday may have had us operating on greased wheels with everything coming together easily and effectively. Tuesday has a few speed bumps mostly as a result of trying to do too much or being diverted by distractions of secondary importance. We continue with the Earth Grand Trine as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo, and in so doing the Virgo Moon trines Pluto in Capricorn and the Moon trines the Sun in Taurus. The Virgo Moon also triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Jupiter in Sagittarius and the Moon squares Mars in Gemini. Venus sextiles Mars. If we had flare-ups in our relationships last week, today allows us to quell any indication of discord. We are more willing to collaborate today, especially if we focus on future plans rather than past hurts. There is a major shift in energy tomorrow as both Venus and Mars change their transiting Signs. Today is a day to keep things real, prioritize our activities and advance our goals. As the day progresses, the Moon moves out of Virgo and enters Libra. Work and relationships are highlighted today. If we don’t act impetuously, we can make significant gains on both fronts.
Wednesday, May 15th – Time of the Season – Mercury, Neptune, Venus Taurus, Mars Cancer. Wednesday continues with the Libra Moon but with the Moon making no connections to the planets today. There are major energy configurations today. Mercury sextiles Neptune. Venus exits Aries to enter Taurus, with Venus moving from a Sign of its Detriment into a Sign that it rules. Mars exits Gemini to enter Cancer, a Sign of Fall for Mars, where the Mars energy is not comfortable. This is a day when thinking smarter can reap huge dividends. Our inner knowing of our intuitive sense could be highly attuned. This is one of those days when we might know without knowing. Having a sense of things may prove spot on, and we may strategize the best approach to addressing various particulars and details of our life. The Venus Sign shift accentuates the Stellium In the Fixed Earth Sign as Venus joins Uranus, Mercury and the Sun in Taurus. We are moving ever more into seed planting time and presenting ourselves in a well put together style. The Mars exit of Gemini ends the Mutable Sign T-square that could have dogged us with anxiety and concern over the past six weeks. We may embrace the sentiment in the Simon and Garfunkel lyric: ‘Slow down, you move too fast, You got to make the morning last’. By slowing our pace, we could also find ourselves to be more effective and more productive. It’s that time of the season when the landscape breaks out in full bloom, the temperature gets warmer, and we have better results with the planting of our seeds.
Thursday, May 16th – What We Want, What We Need – Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Saturn. While our sense of collaboration and cooperation may be increased, we have to be wary that someone doesn’t want too much from us. Thursday has most of the energy in the early part of the day and the latter part of the day without much energy going on during the midday. Thursday has the Moon finishing its transit of Libra with the Moon sextile Jupiter and the Moon square both Saturn and Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio where today the Moon trines Mars and the Moon opposes Venus. Mercury trines Saturn. We might prefer to do something other than to tend to our responsibilities. Even if we can skip away, get out of town, and explore new realms, we may find that the pulls of our obligations are dampening our spirit. If we would draw upon our time management skills whereby we deal with our pressing needs all the while that we expand our scope, then we need not feel like we are negating our responsibilities to spread our wings nor that we are being hampered in our greater outreach by our usual tasks. Planning our day with recognition of both our present needs and our future wants would prevent wild swings of activity or emotion. Late in the day, we could determine what needs to be rid of and what to concentrate on. Let’s just avoid pulling the rug out from anyone or even from ourselves. The grass may seem greener other than where we are, but it would be wise to be cautious before delving headlong into the new until we have fully investigated the specifics of our possibilities.
Friday, May 17th – Shake It Up – Uranus. Friday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today opposed Uranus. While there was a great deal of energy yesterday and will be again tomorrow when we have the Scorpio Full Moon, this Friday seems more akin to a shake up of old patterns and old ways of doing things. We may be far more interested in doing things differently or in doing something different, but it would be suggested that we avoid leaping ahead until greater clarity is accomplished. We might have the liability of knee-jerk reactions today, either throwing something out just for the sake of feeling relieved of the old and the tired, or buying into something unfamiliar on impulse to lift our spirits. We have to be wary of impetuousness today. We could start down a particular trajectory and continue it with adamant determination even if we see indications that we’re heading into dangerous territory. This is a day for us to keep a tight rein on our finances and not give in to impulse purchases. Changes are all well and good but not if the changes increase a sense of instability and insecurity. Weed the garden, but let’s allow the flowers to bloom.
Saturday, May 18th – Blue Moon Amidst the Flowers – Neptune, Saturn, Pluto, Mercury, Scorpio Full Moon, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Uranus. Saturday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today trine Neptune, the Moon sextile both Saturn and Pluto both in Capricorn, the Moon opposed Mercury and the Moon opposed the Sun at the time of the Scorpio Full Moon, a Blue Moon, the Flower Moon. Right after the Full Moon, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius late in the day. Mercury trines Pluto, and Venus conjuncts Uranus. This Saturday is a good day to clean up and clear out. We can focus on what our primary interests are, all the while that we rid ourselves of stuff that no longer works for us. Our mind is highly astute today. We could cut to the core and come up with some interesting and expeditious solutions to any problems. This is a good day for blueprinting and concentrating on our long-term goals. We do have to be careful that our emotions don’t get in the way. Our critical analysis is likely to be spot on, our communication concise and to the point, but our sensitivity and emotion might muddy up the water. Let’s focus on our message and be less concerned about how we appear as the messenger. There may be a serendipitous connection that makes us aware of a different and more appealing way to present ourselves.
Sunday, May 19th – Up and Away. Sunday continues with the Moon transiting Sagittarius, but the Moon makes no connections to the planets today. This Sunday may be a day for us to take things down a notch or two. While there is not a great deal of energy pushing us to do this or that, it is a day when we could be feeling upbeat and optimistic. This Sunday would be a great day to get out of town, travel through the countryside ablaze in springtime colors of blossoming trees, blooming flowers and the lush green of meadows. Or we could stay home and plan a trip for our summer vacation. Whatever we choose today, we may be feeling good about things, optimistic and considering how we might spread our wings, whether we give flight today or choose another time for our get away. No parade rainers for us today. This is a day when we are likely to see the half glass of water more as half full rather than half empty. This Sunday can be an uplifting and ‘feel good’ time when we are looking to up and away.
