The astrology for this week of April 8th through the 14th of 2019 can have us operating at our full potential as long as we don’t carried away by irrational exuberance.
The week may seem to be slow starting but is likely to pick up speed as we progress through the week. We could have any number of activities happening, and we would need to keep focused with a realization that we cannot juggle everything effectively if we take on too much or cover the bases by glossing over the particulars.
The mid-week period may have us operating on adrenaline with us rushing around. By staying focused, our insights can be spot on, but we also need to be wary of someone’s intents. As I often suggest, this week calls for us to ‘check the source and check their agenda’.
The liability of being sent down a wrong pathway due to someone’s suggestion can have us stepping into a maze, whereby we are attempting to deal with our responsibilities all the while that our thoughts and interests are miles away. Clarity might be lacking largely due to our infatuations and the vast influx of information, misinformation and mass stimuli.
Appearance versus reality could dog us during the second half of the week. Optimism and confidence are all well and good, but we do need to keep in mind the keywords of these paradigm-shifting times: awareness and mindfulness.
Let’s not get carried away by the energy configurations, nor feel overwhelmed by everything that is going on. Remember that during this paradigm shift it is wise for us to recognize that we are not in total control of our conditions or circumstances [as if we ever were].
These times engage the asequential reality where things happen in a seemingly most random and inexplicable manner. Such a modality is both a boon and a bane. The bane is the realization that we are NOT in control. The boon is the recognition that the universal unfolding occurs in a mysterious even magical way. The more we are attuned to the natural unfolding, the more we can be in harmony and in synch with life’s happenings. The more we attempt to control situations, the more likely we may seem to be banging up against unexpected obstacles.
The weekend might demand some clearing out and cleaning up. The more we pare down on the obsolete, the useless and the waste of our time; the more time we shall have to engage in fun re-creational activities with the opportunity of expressing our creative talents in various formats.
Monday, April 8th – Planning the Week – Mercury, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. The week begins on this Monday with the Taurus Moon sextile Mercury, and the Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost thirteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini late in the day. Before we truly enter the hurly-burly of this week, it would be wise for us to plan out our schedule, always with the recognition that plans should be made in pencil with a large eraser, especially during these times when unexpected variables can come forward to force us to change or alter our plans. Nonetheless, it would be smart to create an outline of our intentions for the week. We don’t need to schedule down to the most minute detail but rather create an overview for our week. By prioritizing our activities, we are able to focus on the most important matters for us to address and not lose sight of what needs to get done if we get swept up in the energy over the next few days. Our thoughts and discussions today can be incisive and inclusive. The more we accomplish on this Monday, the more time and space we shall have for new opportunities or to consider new possibilities.
Tuesday, April 9th – Off to the Races – Mars. Hopefully, we used Monday to accomplish some of the detail work and outstanding matters that needed to be addressed and that we also took time to develop our plans for the week. Tuesday has the Gemini Moon conjunct Mars. We could be talking up a storm today and being bombarded by all sorts of ideas and discussions. While there can be a great deal of incoming information, we may not be able to effectively filter all the information. Due diligence might be lost on this Tuesday, so it would be wise for us to take everything we see or hear with a grain of salt. Presentations may be long on image, short on substance. This is a day for us to take in and give out a wide range of topics and subjects but with little depth associated with them. There is the gift of gab today, but that might not translate into the ability to walk the talk. We can be running around today, going from one thing to another, and exhausting ourselves in the process. Physical exercise is a good way to release any nervous energy we may have, but nothing too stressful would be suggested. As the day progresses, we could rely upon someone for their critique of our endeavors and our proposed projects. We just have to be wary today and tomorrow as to whom we elicit their evaluation or their suggestions regarding our activities.
Wednesday, April 10th – What it Is – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Neptune, Mercury, Sun, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter retrograde. We might have felt the energy ratcheting up yesterday after a fairly methodical Monday. Wednesday spikes the energy significantly. The Gemini Moon today triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares the three Pisces-transiting planets of Venus, Neptune and Mercury, and the Moon opposes Jupiter. The Moon sextiles the Sun. The Moon goes Void-of-Course for ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon moves into Cancer late in the day. In addition to the spiked energy from the Moon’s energy configurations, we also have on this Wednesday Venus conjunct Neptune, the Sun square Saturn, Mercury sextile Pluto, and Jupiter turning retrograde. Exhausted yet? This Wednesday could have us thrashing about, but we have to maintain focus on what we are doing and why we are doing it. And that could be a formidable task, especially in light of the fact that we might easily be swayed by someone or something tantalizing us. We are also unlikely to be operating on all cylinders and consequently the tendency, but perhaps a liability, of drawing upon someone’s recommendations or suggestions. This is a day to be wary of the trickster, people or things that look one way but whose reality is quite different. If we refuse to get caught up in the whirlwind of activity today, but take our time to focus and evaluate, our thoughts and our own evaluations can be spot on. Certain obligations might have to be attended to, and the challenge of this day is not to do too much. Let’s keep in mind the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi where we recognize the ‘perfection of imperfection’.
Thursday, April 11th – Changing Times, Changing Things – Uranus. The Cancer Moon sextiles Uranus today. This Thursday is bookended by an intense Wednesday followed by a highly active Friday. The Spring season offers us the opportunity of changes — new beginnings, a renaissance when we seem to have a second wind and we determine to do new things and to do our routine matters differently and hopefully more expediently. Today we can catch our breath, perhaps a short respite from the acceleration that sometimes comes with Spring. This is a good day to streamline our operations. We might choose to pare down our stuff, whether that stuff includes possessions or activities. Putting flair into our environment may have us buying certain items to spice up our life. And that would seem the key phrase for this day: ‘spice up our life’. Some of the changes we can incorporate could come as a result of spontaneity, impulse decisions. Let’s not fear doing something quickly or unexpectedly. We do not have to fully commit to anything today, but we could sample different activities, different ways of doing things and different involvements. No need to push ourselves, for this is more of a day of being receptive to the magic and mini-miracles of these changing times.
Friday, April 12th – Head in the Clouds – Neptune, Venus, Mercury, Lunar T-Square, Saturn, Sun, Pluto, Jupiter. The Moon in Cancer today trines the three Pisces-transiting planets of Neptune, Venus and Mercury. The Moon also triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square the Sun in Aries, and the Moon opposed both Saturn and Pluto both in Capricorn. Mercury squares Jupiter, and Venus sextiles Saturn. Similar to Wednesday, this Friday can be a highly active day. This day may also seem paradoxical. On the one hand, our emotions are engaged and we may be somewhat dreamy about everything going on. Our home might feel like a sanctuary in which we would prefer to stay or retreat to. Thoughts can engage all sorts of possibilities, many of which are more future-oriented than present realities. Yes, this is a day when we can have our head in the clouds. While we are highly confident of our prospects and even the ease by which to make them manifest, we may also find that the end of this week is calling for us to deal with our usual responsibilities and those matters that we need to conclude before the weekend. This Friday is a day when it would be wise for us to draw upon someone as a trusted sounding board, someone who can see things more clearly than we might with our liability to see things now through rose-colored glasses.
Saturday, April 13th – Out of Sorts – Uranus, Mars, Sun, Pluto. Saturday has the Moon moving into Leo where today the Leo Moon squares Uranus early in the day and the Moon sextiles Mars late in the day. The Sun squares Pluto. Although we might have plans for fun and games on this Saturday, things may not go according to plan. We have to be careful with our finances today and also with our back. Structures we once thought solid could prove otherwise. This is a day when monkey wrenches could be thrown into our wheels and muck up our intentions for this Saturday. Whatever upsets we encounter to begin this Saturday, let’s suck it up, deal with what needs to get done, and get it out of the way. The morning hours can be hectic and frustrating, but they do not have to ruin the day. Cleaning up and clearing out early in the day would provide space for more exciting and enlivening events later. Once we deal with any unexpected incidents demanding our attention and a good Spring cleaning, we can then engage fun events and recreational activities as the day progresses. The afternoon and evening hours are meant for good times. We might have a lot going on with most of it putting a smile on our face.
Sunday, April 14th – Can’t Get Better than This – Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Sun, Venus, Pluto. Sunday is one primo day. We’re likely to be feeling good, looking good, and our upbeat attitude contagious making our relationships even better. The Leo Moon today triggers a Fire Grand Trine with the Moon trine Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the Moon trine the Sun in Aries. The Sun trines Jupiter, and Venus sextiles Pluto. It’s hard to imagine energy configurations better than these. This is a day to breathe deeply the joie de vivre [joy of living]. Optimistic, confident and enthusiastic, we are likely to sparkle and add a little fire to everyone with whom we connect. This Sunday is a day when our creative juices may be flowing. Whether we participate or are an observer, we are looking for good times with a good friend[s]. This may not be a day for rest, but no matter what we do we may feel recharged and reinvigorated. This can truly be a lovely day, a lovely day. We just have to be willing to share center stage with other people and enjoy the mutual admiration we are likely to experience. Our relationships seem deep and solid today. We are baring our soul just as other people are baring their souls to us. If there is a heaven on earth, this Sunday may be one of those days when we experience the idyllic and the beauty in our living.
