The astrology for this week of February 25th through the 3rd of March 2019 may have us with one foot in completion of outstanding matters and our other foot in expansion of future ambitions.
This week is the last full week of the Uranus transit of Aries before Uranus enters Taurus next week for its seven-year cycle through the Fixed Earth Sign into 2026. We had a brief introduction to the Uranus Taurus transit this past summer into the autumn of 2018, but now we are about to feel the full impetus of Uranus transiting through Taurus.
This week is the last full week of Mercury direct prior to next week when Mercury turns retrograde for the first of three Mercury retrograde cycles in 2019. This Mercury retrograde could prove a real doozey with Mercury retrograding back through Pisces, a Sign of Detriment for Mercury. The confusions, misunderstandings, illusions and delusions with the liability of a rush to judgment that we might have experienced or at least witnessed recently might only be ratcheted up. What we see may not be what we get!
Forewarned is forearmed, and so it would be wise for us to complete significant commitments and make important decisions prior to the Mercury retrograde or after Mercury turns direct on the 28th of March, or even better once Mercury gets out of its ‘shadow’ after April 16th.
This week has us with a waning Moon prior to next week’s Pisces New Moon. It is far better for us to conclude, tie up loose ends and bring things to completion rather than initiations and launching new activities. With major shifts in energy next week, however, this week and especially the mid-week period may be a good time for us to gather the seeds of new projects we may wish to plant and develop during the springtime. We can be in an expansive mood this week and looking at how we can engage individual projects and new trajectories for ourselves in the days ahead.
The end of the week could raise relationship issues. An unexpected upset might have us involved in a tug-of-war with someone. We have to be wary that our expectations or the other person’s expectations don’t get in our way of cordial interactions. The Capricorn Stellium of three planets in the Cardinal Earth Sign ends as Venus exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius. We may have been interested in how our personal relations could benefit our ambitions, although highly critical of such participation. Our focus may shift more to those people who are quirky and characters in their own right.
The weekend is best suited for us doing things on the fly, embarking on explorations and taking the path less traveled.
Monday, February 25th – Head of Steam – Pluto, Mercury, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins the week with us under quite a head of steam. The day begins with the Scorpio Moon sextile Pluto, the Moon trine Mercury, and the Moon sextile Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius late in the day. This is a day when it would be wise for us to keep our head down, our nose to the grindstone and for us to complete various tasks. If we would prioritize our day, we could then move systematically forward checking one thing off after another. It would be wise for us to draw upon proper planning and time management skills, since we are likely to start the day with a head of steam that can dissipate as we move forward into the day. Let’s keep in mind that we have the Mercury retrograde beginning next week, so it would be suggested that we use this week for conclusions and completions. This Monday need not be manic, but it can be highly productive and functional if we put our mind to it.
Tuesday, February 26th – Realm of Possibilities – Sun, Neptune. Tuesday has the Moon in Sagittarius with the Moon today square both the Sun and Neptune both in the Neptune-ruled Water Sign of Pisces. This day may seem to be a smorgasbord of possibilities. We may be feeling upbeat and expansionary, wanting to spread our wings and participate in any number of activities. And therein lies the problem. There may be so many enticing prospects today that we end up spinning our wheels and grasping at straws. It would be wise for us to have a course of action before we head off today. Failing a well-considered itinerary and a developed schedule of activities, we could be all over the place without accomplishing much except a helter-skelter range of involvements. This is a day when we could have our head in the clouds but with our feet hardly touching the ground. Tuesday calls for due diligence, although we are more liable to wing it, take things as they come, and in the process lose a ‘feel good’ day to a mish-mash of actions that wind up with us feeling exhausted if not defeated. Proper planning today could save us from irrational exuberance and instead might provide us with the proper avenues to employ our confidence and express our talents.
Wednesday, February 27th – Ain’t No Stopping Us Now – Jupiter, Mercury, Sun, Mars. Wednesday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today conjunct Jupiter and the Moon square Mercury. The Sun sextiles Mars. Yesterday could have had us off flying and liable to be more interested in the flight rather than our direction. If we didn’t get a handle on proper planning and time management skills to direct our course of action, then today might continue with us on a ‘high’, feeling that everything is going our way but without considering the conditions or the circumstances in which we are operating. Any lack of clarity may prove disastrous today, for once we are engaged we are likely to go full tilt with the attitude that there ‘ain’t no stopping us now’ [to borrow from the McFadden & Whitehead 1979 song]. We might not account for all the particulars and specifics, but using our enthusiasm in a constructive manner can accomplish a great deal today with the idea of fine-tuning our actions over the next two days when we are more likely to be considering the template and the structure of our engagements than just our hopes and wishes, as we might have been doing over the past two days.
Thursday, February 28th – Different Approach – Uranus, Mars, Sun. In the early morning hours of Thursday, the Sagittarius Moon trines Uranus. The Moon then exits Sagittarius to enter Capricorn where today the Moon trines Mars and the Moon sextiles the Sun. A burst of energy to start this Thursday can help us take off the blinders, work with peripheral vision, and consider different ways to approach our goals. The past two days might have had us flying high but with the liability of our flight being by means of a ‘wing and a prayer’. Optimism may have overridden rationale. Our confidence could have been so strong that we accepted the belief that whatever we wished to occur would naturally occur. Enthusiasm and exuberance are all well and good but they need to be hitched to practical methodology. The practical might have been lacking the past two days, but this Thursday provides us the energy to be more grounded and more practical in our efforts. We can engage a different approach to realizing our goals, and an approach that might be far more streamlined and effective than how we were going about things. Thursday on into the weekend provide us the ability to be productive and effective. It would be wise for us to take advantage of the energies prior to the beginning next week of the three-week Mercury retrograde cycle.
Friday, March 1st – Doing What Needs to Be Done – Neptune, Saturn, Pluto, Venus, Uranus, Venus Aquarius. Friday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today sextile Neptune and the Moon conjunct both Saturn and Pluto. Venus squares Uranus just before Venus exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius and ending the Stellium of three planets in the Cardinal Earth Sign. An unexpected situation might arise that upsets our plans for the day. Someone could call in their I.O.U. and want us to involve ourselves in their situation. This Friday is highly accentuated by responsibilities. No matter what we might have scheduled for this day, much of our focus is likely to revolve our tasks and obligations, the routine matters of our daily lives, with an unanticipated expectation by someone thrown into the mix. If we are willing to concentrate on what needs to get done, we could be highly expeditious and accomplish more than what we might have expected. Let’s avoid overload by prioritizing our activities and taking care of the most important matters first. We may have a lot to accomplish, but mindfulness and attentiveness can help to streamline our operations.
Saturday, March 2nd – Duty First, Fun and Games Next – Mercury, Uranus, Venus. Saturday begins with the Moon completing its transit of Capricorn with the Capricorn Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon square Uranus. The Moon then moves into Aquarius where today the Moon conjuncts Venus. We may have had a lot on our plate the past two days, and this Saturday allows us to complete items on our ‘to do’ list. No point in grousing about what needs to be done. Let’s just address our commitments early in the day. There can be a bit of a blowup with someone that might have started late on Thursday or during Friday. Someone might have too great an expectation of us or could prove a little too intrusive. If we keep in mind that this too shall pass, we can put up with any involvement that is irritating or annoying with the recognition, and the appreciation, that such imposition may soon be over. The sense of ‘out with the old, in with the new’ could be strong today, for the pulls of the past that might have been going on diminish as the day proceeds and to be replaced with new contacts and new connections that might be more in flavor of where we are and adding flair and excitement to our life.
Sunday, March 3rd – At What Expense – Mars. Sunday continues with the Moon’s transit of Aquarius with the Moon today square Mars. Late yesterday and today, we may be in search of adventure, looking for good times with new friends. We may be interested in exploring realms with which we are unfamiliar, and we could be intrigued by anything that is foreign to our experience. What we have to be wary of is the expense involved. We don’t have to gear up for our escapades. It would be far better for us to test things out, sample our possibilities, without devoting huge resources in our discovery process. This is a day when we can let loose our sense of curiosity, all the while keeping a tight rein on the costs involved. We also need to avoid knee-jerk reactions since impetuousness might lead to senseless accidents. Today calls for us to take our time and enjoy the journey and not push ahead excitedly toward some end goal. Let’s always remember that true joy and fulfillment is often found more in the journey and in the process than in the destination or the completion.
