The astrology for this week of January 14th through the 20th of 2019 can have us speeding things up, only to slow them down before throwing wide our engagements to take on this, that and something else.
The week starts with a thrust of energy. Impatience could get the better of us as we rush out the door to begin the week. If we would draw upon our intuitive sense, we might figure out how we can proceed effectively and expeditiously without tripping over ourselves.
While we could be gung-ho at the very beginning of the week, we can slow ourselves down and take things in a more systematic and productive manner after the initial thrust of energy. Drawing upon Aesop, we might realize the truth to the idiom ‘slow and steady wins the race’.
Not only can we be practical in our methods. We may be highly insightful as to how the different pieces of our lives could fit neatly together. We might have it going on during the first half of this week, a time when we can accomplish a great deal.
The latter part of the week may have us throwing open the floodgates as we pick up the pace and in the process try to juggle any number of things. Taking on too much, trying to do too much could be a detriment when we get caught up in the frenzy and lose sight of our direction.
Thursday is a day when we might heed the warning signs of ‘watch out’ and not overdo. Whatever we do at that time, let’s bear in mind that our methods may have been haphazard and our clarity clouded by blind optimism.
Friday and the weekend would provide time and clarity to straighten things out and get things right. Home and family matters might demand our attention, and putting finishing touches on outstanding matters would allow us a cleaner palette to draw upon as the Sun exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius on Sunday. We may feel as though the future is NOW or at least nigh. What we see may not be what we get, so it will be important that we maintain awareness and be mindful in stepping forward with our future.
Monday, January 14th – Knowing Better – Sun, Uranus, Mercury, Neptune. We may be champing at the bit to get on with things, but the things we wish to get on with are not our usual responsibilities but rather new adventures. The week begins on this Monday with the Moon finishing its transit of Aries and with the Aries Moon square the Sun and the Moon conjunct Uranus. The Moon then moves out of Aries and enters Taurus. Mercury sextiles Neptune. We may well know what we need to do, but far reaches and distant realms could be far more intriguing. This day might start with us taking an alternative approach and considering our options rather than what we are scheduled to do. Our intuitive sense is highly attuned today. If we would give time both to future possibilities and take care of our pressing needs, we might discover that we can have it all — both addressing our mundane concerns yet with a consideration of prospects we might eventually choose to pursue. This is a day when first things first might be inverted, with us focusing on the tantalizing possibilities before getting back in harness and dealing with our responsibilities. With our intuition heightened, this Monday can be a day when we can work smarter rather than harder, fitting all the pieces neatly into the puzzle of our lives. As the day progresses, our energy is likely to be more restrained, practical and we might consider taking things step by step.
Tuesday, January 15th – Practical Accomplishments Neatly Presented – Saturn, Neptune, Mercury. Tuesday and Wednesday this week are highly productive. We can be incredibly effective. Tuesday and Wednesday have the Taurus Moon with the Moon trining the Capricorn-transiting planets. Tuesday has the Taurus Moon trine both Saturn and Mercury both in Capricorn. The Moon also sextiles Neptune. If we didn’t get lost in our future considerations yesterday, we could have begun a three day period when we might strategize, devise, implement and execute a best practices approach to some of our goals. Nothing is likely to fall between the cracks on this Tuesday and Wednesday. Both Monday and Tuesday may give us an inner knowing of how best to proceed with our plans. If we would trust our instincts, then we might come up with the best solution as to how to realize our goals. From taking time to blueprint our itinerary with a sense of our being guided once we engage our activities, we can move into effective execution of our projects. The interesting thing about Tuesday and Wednesday is the fact that whatever we are working on, we are seeing the big picture and able to deal succinctly with the details, and our presentation can be both well put together and truly appealing in presentation. The first half of this week is not to be lost to frivolity. Astrology is all about cycles, and the first half of this week can be largely successful by taking things step by step. The latter part of the week may be more helter-skelter, so let’s take advantage of these practical energies to accomplish as much as we possibly can.
Wednesday, January 16th – Honing with Finishing Touches – Pluto, Sun. Wednesday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon finishing its transit of Taurus and in doing so the Moon trines both Pluto and the Sun both in Capricorn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost six and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini late in the day. Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning of this week provide us with the energy to be productive and effective. With the practical energies of these past few days coming to closure, it would be wise for us to tie up loose ends and bring as many things to completion as possible. Wednesday is a good day for us to focus on the details, any particulars that we have not taken care of, and put our finishing touches on certain projects. Even if we are not complete with some of our projects, our attention and focus may shift as we come into the evening hours and for the rest of this week. Late in the day, our mind can be full of ideas and thoughts, many of which may not be connected or related but rather a mish-mash of desires and possibilities. Let’s be careful in engaging any of these new concepts that come to us in the evening hours. Conversations can spark suggestions but not all of them anywhere near grounded.
Thursday, January 17th – The Impossible Dream – Mars, Lunar T-Square, Venus, Neptune, Jupiter. Coming off of three productive days when we could have been highly efficient and incredibly successful in dealing with our goals and ambitions, Thursday can have us engaging a belief of being ‘legends in our own mind’. The Gemini Moon today sextiles Mars and the Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Neptune in Pisces and the Moon opposed both Venus and Jupiter both in Sagittarius. This Thursday might provide the fodder for us to assume that nothing is unattainable. We may have the passion to put our individual mark upon our engagements, but our attentiveness might be lacking as we buy into a sense that we can do anything and everything and that it will all work out in our favor. Yes, this Thursday is a day when we have to be wary of arrogance and narcissism. We could try and take on too much or get involved in situations that are possible and easily accomplished in our mind but might prove to be a set-up for a nasty fall in reality. Someone might encourage us to go too far out on a limb. Although our head may be in the clouds, we need to keep our feet on the ground. Otherwise, we could easily get carried away and find ourselves like a pachinko machine with the balls caroming from one pin to another, banging and crashing about. The early part of the week may have been slow and steady, but the latter part of this week and over the weekend can have us rushing around and wondering if we’re getting anywhere. Let’s keep it real.
Friday, January 18th – Getting a Grip – Uranus, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Pluto, Sun. Friday continues with the Gemini Moon with the Moon today sextile Uranus late in the day prior to the Moon exiting Gemini to enter Cancer. Venus trines Mars, Mercury conjuncts Pluto, and the Sun squares Uranus. Friday might have us dealing with old issues, all the while keeping our ear to the railroad track regarding new prospects. If we would take the time to concentrate on the truly significant, we could dissect situations and figure out what needs to be done and what is extraneous or in our way. We are at the end of the week and looking towards the weekend. Before we get there, we can accomplish certain matters that need to be resolved before the week is out. Our mind can be perceptive and incisive. Our passion may be engaged and any presentation we make could have our personal mark upon it with great panache and drama. While our focus could be geared towards the weekend, let’s not rush the process. We can be charming, persuasive, determined and compelling. We might prefer to be somewhere else, but it would be wise to take advantage of our skill set during the day. The evening hours are better suited for a fine romance and social interactions.
Saturday, January 19th – Home Concerns – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Saturn, Neptune. This weekend has the Cancer Moon opposing the Capricorn-transiting planets, and in the process triggering Lunar T-Squares with the squares to the two Aries-transiting planets. Oh, joy. Talk about clipping our own wings and the liability of self-sabotage! Saturday has the Cancer Moon with the Moon today triggering the Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square Mars and the Moon opposed Saturn. The Moon trines Neptune. Whether we choose to or not, this weekend could have us dealing with home and family matters. If we were unproductive at the beginning of the week, this day may be catch-up day, as we try to accomplish routine matters that might have been more effectively completed early in the week. Whether our usual responsibilities or our home matters, we may feel our wings are being clipped by what we need to attend to. It would be far wiser for us to take care of our ‘to do’ list rather than starting anything new, but the liability would be just initiating new activities before completing old ones and consequently adding more to our ‘to do’ list and ratcheting up our anxiety and stress. Why go there when we could check things off one at a time?
Sunday, January 20th – Faster All the Time – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Mercury, Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Sun Aquarius. The Lunar T-Square of the Cancer Moon opposing Capricorn-transiting planets and the Moon square an Aries-transiting planet continues on this Sunday, following yesterday’s similar T-Square but with different players. Today, the Cancer Moon opposes both Pluto and Mercury both in Capricorn, and the Moon squares Uranus. Venus squares Neptune, and the Sun exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius. Late in the day, the Moon exits Cancer to enter Leo, where early tomorrow morning we have the Leo Full Moon, a SuperMoon and Lunar Eclipse. Things may be fast and furious today. We might feel put upon by things we have to do and certain curve balls that keep us from doing what we want to do. We have to be wary that we don’t fall into victim mode and allow resentment to create difficulties with someone else. There can be misunderstandings and miscommunications, and each of us might feel as though we are not being appreciated for what we contribute to other people’s lives. Let’s be careful regarding our responses or reactions to incidents. Yesterday and today could be exhausting, and we might prefer being somewhere else than where we are. After yesterday and during today, we could be ready to engage the ‘flight or fight’ syndrome. Let’s count to ten and not get embroiled in no-win situations.
