The astrology for this week of November 12th through the 18th can have us getting our eye back on the ball, focused on our goals with a watchful eye towards our future plans and a recognition that the end of the week brings us into the last of this year’s Mercury retrogrades.
The more we can accomplish this week prior to Mercury turning retrograde late on Friday, the better it would be. We start the week with our nose to grindstone, determined to virtually move mountains and yet to do so in an expeditious manner with our presentation appealing and very much put together. Appearance and substance match nicely, can be impressive, and may win us accolades even from those people who might not be our greatest admirers.
Although we begin the week with all flags flying, we could encounter hiccups that force us to shift and alter our plans. If we find our present projects blocked or hampered, we might look to the distant horizon, to our future plans, and develop our thoughts on how to proceed with later goals.
The latter part of the week can find us unexpected support with suggestions as to how to take an alternate course from the one we’ve chosen. Someone could be instrumental in helping us move our ball forward.
Our emotions are likely to be ratcheted up towards the end of the week and the early part of the weekend. Mars exits Aquarius to enter Pisces, Venus turns direct, and Mercury turns retrograde. Twists and turns are likely with us unable to figure out which are the twists and which are the turns.
Taking time over the weekend to regroup and seek clarity within the realm of confusion would be a wise choice before we are back in high gear as we end the weekend.
Monday, November 12th – Guiding Light – Neptune, Pluto, Sun. The week begins with the Capricorn Moon and the Moon today sextile Neptune in Pisces, the Moon conjunct Pluto, and the Moon sextile Saturn in Scorpio. If we would take our time and prioritize our activities, we could accomplish a great deal expeditiously and effectively. This is not a day to waste and certainly not to waste second-guessing ourselves. Our intuitive sense can be heightened with the ability to blend both foresight and practical application in a highly successful manner. With Mercury turning retrograde Friday evening, it would be wise for us to take care of the most important matters prior to the three-week Mercury retrograde cycle. Not only can we have a ‘sense’ of things today. We may be highly resourceful, engage a ‘best practices’ approach, and achieve successful results in a short period of time. Any delays or frustrations are more likely triggered by our own self-critique. This is a day for us to plan, to trust our instincts, and then to do what needs to be done in an appealing and well-structured manner.
Tuesday, November 13th – Dropping a Stitch – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter. Tuesday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Venus in Libra and the Moon squares Uranus in Aries. The Moon later exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius where today the Moon sextiles Jupiter. Sometimes we get so enamored with our abilities that we take our hand off the wheel, assuming that everything will continue along smoothly without our needing focused attention. Unfortunately, those are also times when the vehicle that we are driving can go off the tracks and create some real problems for ourselves. Yesterday might have had everything falling into place for us with the liability that we became a little full of ourselves with a sense that everything would continue along the same lines. Welcome to the world, the new world of the paradigm shift of asequential reality where things no longer progress in an orderly or straight-line manner [as if they ever truly did!]. We could have some issues to deal with as we start this day, matters of our own making and someone else’s concerns. We may feel as though between pillar and post as we try to take care of our usual responsibilities, address incoming from out of the blue, consider someone’s impact, all the while that we might want to be free and clear and doing whatever catches our fancy. This is a day when we need to keep our wits about us. Let’s do what needs to get done, juggle our own interests and those of someone else, and not be distracted. Later in the day, we can take a powder, expand our involvements and consider our future engagements. This is a day to put first things first.
Wednesday, November 14th – Over the Hills and Far Away – Mercury. Wednesday has the Aquarius Moon sextile Mercury. Drawing upon the broadening of our perspective and expanding our realm from late yesterday, this Wednesday can have us scoping out possibilities and alternatives for ourselves. We may float all sorts of ideas, and there can be a great deal of talk. Although all sorts of possibilities could be considered, let’s keep in mind that prospects in concept still have to be strategized and the means developed to manifest them in practical reality. Implementation of some of our grand ideas may have to wait. Brainstorming and considering all ideas would allow us to take a broad perspective before whittling them down to the truly practical and realistic. Our thoughts and conversations might be all over the place today, and we could be positively confident and over confident about our options. We are looking for alternatives. We may have our head in the clouds, but we need to keep our feet on the ground.
Thursday, November 15th – In High Gear – Sun, Venus, Uranus, Mars, Mars Pisces. The Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius with the Aquarius Moon today square the Sun, the Moon sextile Venus in Libra, and the Moon sextile Uranus in Aries. Late in the day, the Moon exits Aquarius to enter Pisces. Mars sextiles Uranus just before Mars exits Aquarius to enter Pisces. Tomorrow will have Venus turning direct, and Mercury turning retrograde. This is a day when we could be hell-bent for glory. We may want to do what we want to do with a great deal of energy and encouragement from someone to push aggressively ahead. Although our intentions may be good, let’s keep in mind the wise admonition that ‘the pathway to hell is paved with good intensions’. A good friend might incite us to try something different, to step away from our routine matters, and put our attention on alternatives and new trajectories. We have to be careful in new beginnings, for any initiations today are liable to be negatively impacted by the forthcoming Mercury retrograde. It would be far wiser for us to tie up loose ends and complete outstanding matters than engaging start-ups. We can consider plans for our future, but we might postpone implementation until we come out from under the Mercury retrograde on December 6th or wait until after the Mercury retrograde ‘shadow’ in early January. This is a day for us not to ‘rush the river’, but nevertheless we could be champing at the bit to get on with new trajectories. Patience is called for, unlikely to be heeded.
Friday, November 16th – Mad as a Hatter – Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus direct, Mercury retrograde. Friday has the Moon in Pisces with the Moon today conjunct Mars, the Moon square Jupiter, and the Moon sextile Saturn. Venus turns direct in its own Sign of Libra, and Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius, a Sign in which Mercury is in detriment. Yesterday and today are two days when we may need to engage braking action but might be loathe to do so. Instead of acting like lemmings running for the cliffs to plunge into the sea, we should consider slowing things down, evaluate what we are doing and why we are doing it, and recognize that change for the sake of change can sometimes wind up going from the frying pan into the fire. Our anxiety yesterday and today could be ratcheted up. Just when we thought things may have died down and some semblance of equanimity and serenity could be engaged, the crazies may be out and about causing trouble for all concerned. The liability to rushing around like the Mad Hatter and using our resources carelessly and excessively is heightened yesterday and on this Friday. Although our relationships can improve from the intensity and even anger of the past few weeks, our clarity of thought could be lacking. We are more likely to draw upon opinion or consensus belief of reality than considered thought and due diligence. This day and even through the rest of the year could have pitfalls of bad judgment and consequently wrong actions. We have to be careful in what we say and how much we reveal. We are moving into a time when we could easily bet the ranch, all under the assumption that things work out in the end and our need to expand our realm of activities. We shall have opportunities to slow things down and rework certain matters that have gone awry. The question will be whether we choose to do so or if we get caught up in the flurry of activity of doing anything, trying to cover everything, and in the process wasting our resources in ineffective actions and bad decisions.
Saturday, November 17th – Catching our Breath – Mercury, Neptune, Pluto. Saturday continues with the Pisces Moon with the Moon today square Mercury, the Moon conjunct Neptune, and the Moon sextile Pluto. This is one of those days when ‘the best laid plans’ can be in effect. We may have a lot on our plate today but getting in gear might take a while. Let’s keep in mind that Mercury has just turned retrograde, and we need some time to adjust to the convoluted nature of Mercury retrograde. We could start this day running in place until we exhaust ourselves and realize that there are not that many pressing matters that we have to attend to. After an initial roar of our engines, we can put them in idle or just turn off the engine. Sleeping in, catching our breath, taking our time and not feeling pressured to do anything or go anywhere might be our default disposition on this Saturday morning. Our emotions may be heightened as we start the day, but let’s maintain an ‘up’ attitude even if we decide to circle the wagons and have some quiet family time. We can be more functional and practical as the day progresses and even more effective as we prioritize our activities and are less moody.
Sunday, November 18th – Stoking the Fires – Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter, Saturn. The Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and as it does so the Moon trines the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon completes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries where today the Moon trines Jupiter and the Moon squares Saturn. With the need to bring certain matters to closure, we can use the early part of this day to tidy up, straighten out and get things in order. With a sense of new beginnings, and certainly a new start to the zodiac cycle when the Moon enters Aries, we can use the early part of the day to tie up loose ends and clear the decks for any new projects we might choose to begin. As the day progresses, we might spread our wings, decide to fly away somewhere, and expand our interests. Like an accordion, we can expand early in the afternoon and then contract later in the day. Any excesses could be pared down later in the day as we prepare for the week ahead.
