The astrology for this week of October 15th through the 21st of 2018 allows us to be effective and highly productive as long as we keep our head down with nose to grindstone focused and intentional and not be distracted by possibilities or anyone’s suggestions for us to look away from what is right in front of us.
The week begins with us able to zero in on what is truly going on and the ability to figure out a best practices approach to accomplish our goals down to the very minutiae of a situation.
We may be holding our cards close to our chest as we begin this week, listening for that instructive voice from our Muse, our own inner voice.
We wish to accomplish and achieve this week. Once set into motion, we might find that our energy like a locomotive leaving the station picks up in speed and in concentrated determination. There could be little stopping us this week, especially if we are not sidetracked by interesting but needless diversions.
While the beginning of the week can have us picking up steam and moving ahead on a straight line towards our intended destination, the mid-week might have us tantalized by options and alternatives to our plans. Taking our eye off the ball and diverting our attention in other directions could forestall our forward progress.
The latter part of the week and the weekend seem highly emotional but also profoundly spiritual. Time in our reveries and nurturing ourselves with inspired literature, uplifting music and indications of nature’s cycles may make us aware of the perfection of imperfection. Things might not always seem ‘right’ to us, but in reality they truly are ‘right’ in their own natural unfolding.
Monday, October 15th – Everything in its Place – Mercury, Venus, Neptune. Monday begins the week with the Moon in Capricorn and with the Moon today both sextile Mercury and the Moon sextile Venus both in Scorpio, and the Moon sextile Neptune in Pisces. Mercury conjuncts Venus. This Monday can be a highly productive day. We could be exceedingly effective if we make our plans, determine our itinerary, and maintain a narrow perspective on what we want to do and need to do. Not only can we focus on the details that make up the whole putting everything neatly in its place. Our presentations can be concise, succinct and quite appealing. We seem to have a certain mystique about us today, a sense of mystery whereby more is evidently going on than meets the eye. Appearance and substance are well matched, but we are likely to draw upon the image to entice further exploration. We might not reveal everything, only teasers that draw people into wanting to investigate what we are doing. The one thing we have to watch for today is an element of jealousy where someone might be envious of us but without being completely clear about the cause of their envy. To borrow from the lyrics of the classic Buffalo Springfield song For What It’s Worth:
“There’s something happening here
What it is ain’t exactly clear…”
Tuesday, October 16th – Cutting to the Core – Pluto, Sun, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today conjunct Pluto, the Moon square Libra, and the Moon sextile Jupiter. We might awaken in a no-nonsense mood on this Tuesday. We may be focused on our priorities, concentrating on the most significant matters we wish to address. We can be fast out of the gate today but possibly not in a socializing disposition. If people are talking about superficial concerns, we are likely to step away from the conversation. We have little time or inclination for the shallow. We are more interested in cutting to the core and addressing the deep and the meaningful. Our diplomacy and charm could be missing today, and we are more likely to be curt and dismissive. It would be wise for us not to step on any toes. Let’s try and have some patience today but also recognize that someone else’s diversions might only be our distractions. Concentrating on the most important matters, we can also be highly resourceful. It would be wise for us to draw upon our own counsel and understanding of a situation rather than paying heed to any input from someone else. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for almost ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius early on Wednesday morning.
Wednesday, October 17th – Paying the Piper – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Venus. The past two days we might have had blinders on, looking straight ahead at what we needed to get done, and with a tendency of holding our cards close to our chest and liable to not being overly sociable. If we lost our patience with someone or became so self-absorbed to be abrasive, then Wednesday could have us paying the piper. The Moon moves into Aquarius where today the Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon square Uranus in Taurus and the Moon square Venus in Scorpio. Our future plans may come with a cost we had not initially realized. Unexpected expenses might put a damper on our finances. Interactions with other people can be testy today. We might be showing, or we might see in the other person, characteristics that shine a different light and one that would reveal negative or unfavorable aspects of character. This is a day for us to be cautious in our movements and careful in what we have to say. Whatever plans we have made for this day may take longer than we like with curveballs upsetting our trajectory, even to the point of our having to change our plans. While we might be frustrated by the alterations to our day, the best way to deal with any mix-ups today would be a bemused attitude towards the foibles of humankind.
Thursday, October 18th – On the Right Track with Gusto – Mercury, Mars. Thursday has the Aquarius Moon square Mercury and the Moon conjunct Mars. This day requires that we look before we leap. Proper planning prior to starting out on this Thursday would go a long way towards being on the right trajectory. Once we get going today, there may be little stopping us. We can be adamant and determined in anything we do today. Conversations could be instrumental in encouraging us to move ahead. We just have to be certain that we utilize due diligence in all our intended efforts. While there can be a plethora of options for us today, it would be wise for us to be focused on what we intend to do and resourceful in how we go about doing things today. This is a day that calls for us to have clear thinking and to determine our actions less on emotions and desires and more on achieving practical results. Our intuitive sense may be heightened today and tomorrow, so it would be wise for us to engage creative visualization and utilize our due diligence in order to advance our future goals. Much can be accomplished today once we secure ourselves on the right track.
Friday, October 19th – Too Far, Too Much? – Jupiter, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus, Mercury, Neptune, Mars. Friday begins with the Aquarius Moon square Jupiter and the Moon trine the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces where later today the Pisces Moon sextiles Uranus. Mercury trines Neptune, and Mercury squares Mars. We may awaken on this Friday with a sense that we have all the answers. And in deed we might. Our sense of things, our inner knowing, can be spot on this Friday. But knowing and doing are two different things. There are times when it is far better for us to ruminate on matters rather than plow forward, and this Friday could be one of those days. We might be encouraged by someone to go for the gold, and our optimism may instigate us into action. Going too far too fast can have us jumping the gun, trying to accomplish before the germination and gestation have fully occurred. This day is far better for us to plan our intended actions, seek to be resourceful and expeditious in our methods, but to also allow our ideas to percolate. This Friday might not be the day for implementation, and it would be wise for us to hold off until we are fully cognizant of variables we might not have taken into account. This Friday is best served by our going slow and taking our time rather than trying to go too far or taking on too much.
Saturday, October 20th – Sanctuary of Reveries – Saturn, Venus, Neptune. Saturdays are often days when we attend to errands or engage a full schedule of recreational activities. Despite the fact that we are living at an accelerated pace these days, we often negate the importance for a day of rest. No matter what our plans for this weekend might be, the energy over this weekend offers us moments of quiet reveries, those brief escapes from our mundane activities into our spiritual reconnect. Today, the Pisces Moon sextiles Saturn, the Moon trines Venus, and the Moon conjuncts Neptune. We can do what we have scheduled for this day and no matter how hectic we have planned this day to be, we might encounter momentary spiritual blasts. One of the beauties of these times is the instant realization that the game of life has altered. The paradigm shift that each of us and everyone of us, individually and collectively, are going through is a change from our belief of us being in total control of life’s situations [as though we ever were!] into an appreciation that there is a natural unfolding with things happening in a seemingly random manner with twists and turns inexplicable to the old mindset of sequential, linear progression. We have entered a new world, a new dimension, where we are co-creators with the universal energies with their asequential occurrences that seem to us like magic and yet offer us those daily mini-miracles in our life. This weekend is a time for us to step away from our frenetic pace, take off our blinders and recognize and appreciate the countless blessings in our life.
Sunday, October 21st – Aha of Blessings – Mercury, Pluto, Jupiter. Saturday and Sunday this week are two days that allow for a spiritual infusion. We can feel better about things, no matter how crazy our personal lives might seem or how crazed our society seems to have become. The Pisces Moon this weekend can pull back the curtain on the Wizard of Oz screen and allow us to see, feel, even touch, the wondrous facets of life and the marvelous aspects of our own individual life. This Sunday has the Pisces Moon trine Mercury, the Moon sextile Pluto, and the Moon trine Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for seven hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Aries early on Monday morning. While this weekend may have a flavor of wait and see, we could also use this weekend as a means of conditioning, preparing ourselves for a new round of initiations as we start the coming week. This Sunday can have us lining our ducks up in a row, both in regard to devising strategies for that which we wish to accomplish during the coming week, but also fortifying our confidence, giving us a ‘can do’ attitude with the affirmation of ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’. In our society, we often feel compelled to be constantly active even when our activity is creating busy work for ourselves. This weekend is a time when we can take the time to chill, to recharge our batteries and to see our life through a different prism, a perspective whereby we are doing life with purpose and giving greater meaning to our daily engagements. Saturday and Sunday are two days when we can feel comforted by the many blessings in our life and reinvigorated in the knowing that we are doing our journey and taking our individual path.
