While it is often wise to initiate plans and launch projects under a waxing Moon rather than a waning Moon, the astrology for this week of September 3rd through the 9th leading up to the New Moon on Sunday can be highly productive and a week when we can line up our ducks in a row, establish our priorities and realize that once set into motion our enterprises take on a life of their own.
We begin the week with a wide array of options open to us. The variety of possibilities might seem overwhelming and confusing, but someone detached from our decision-making could prove to be a necessary sounding board for us to figure out what to do and even how we can go about doing it. We may start the week with a little help from our friends, both in regard to their objective perspective and their encouragement of our intentions.
This week also sees significant energy shifts. Mid-week, Mercury exits Leo to enter its own Sign of Virgo, strengthening the Earth Grand Trine with the Sun and Mercury in Virgo, Uranus in Taurus, and the Stellium of the Capricorn-transiting three planets of Mars, Saturn and Pluto. Saturn follows by turning direct, ending its four and a half month retrograde cycle.
The end of the week highlights clarity of thought with some ‘ah-ha’ moments of insight and greater understanding. Even if we question our goals and our ability to accomplish our aims, the universe might step in and provide impetus for us to get going. Let’s keep in mind that every journey, every new project, begins with a first step. We may not know all the steps along our way, but once begun the journey can have its own unfolding with various twists and turns along the way.
Relationships might prove dicey over the weekend. We may be more focused on our goals and our ambitions rather than accommodating or consideration of other people’s needs.
The weekend ends with the Virgo New Moon. We may be firing on all cylinders, confident of our plans, and ready to virtually move mountains.
Monday, September 3rd – Chatting Up – Neptune, Mercury, Venus. Monday begins the week in the US with Labor Day, the last day of the long Labor Day holiday weekend often considered the unofficial end to summer. The Gemini Moon today squares Neptune, and Mercury sextiles Venus. We can be in a chatty mood today. With the sense of our regular daily routine about to engage us, we might use this day to talk with other people about options and alternatives for ourselves in the future. We could be reluctant about getting back on track and feel a certain discontent with our familiar circumstances. Always being aware of other possibilities can instill a hope of better days ahead. Whether we participate in group events or just spend some alone time, this Monday is a day when we can better appreciate the people in our life, those people that add so much to our enjoyment of doing life. Words of gratitude can go a long way in making everyone feel good, a characteristic desperately in need during these anxiety-provoking times.
Tuesday, September 4th – Realignments – Venus, Mercury, Uranus, Saturn. Tuesday begins with the Moon finishing its transit of Gemini with the Gemini Moon trine Venus and the Moon sextile Mercury. The Moon then moves into Cancer where today the Cancer Moon sextiles Uranus and the Moon opposes Saturn. Monday could have been a ‘feel good’ day, a day that no matter what we were doing, invigorated us and made us aware of all the many blessings in our life — our friends, our significant connections, our bounties of food and material goods. Whether consciously or subconsciously, we might have better recognized all the good things life has provided us. This realization of yesterday may continue on into this Tuesday. With an upbeat attitude and the encouragement of someone we could be more on track with our regular routine and with a desire to streamline operations and make our life easier rather than harder. Although we could start on a new trajectory today or, at least, take a different approach to our usual matters, as the day progresses we might realize that old issues need to be dealt with. As if stalking us, old matters could demand our attention. We don’t have to close the door on realignments or preparation of new projects. We just have to deal with outstanding matters so that they don’t trip us up further down the road. Let’s keep aware that during these times of radically changing conditions indicative of the paradigm shift, there are going to be times when we need to stop our forward trajectory and step back into old situations. It doesn’t mean we halt our intended march forward. On the contrary, going back to deal with certain issues allows us to resolve, complete, and conclude in order that any new developments are not adversely impacted by outdated or outstanding issues.
Wednesday, September 5th – The Wonders of It All – Sun, Lunar Grand Trine, Kite, Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury Virgo. Wednesday can be a primo day, thanks to the Cancer Moon’s aspects today. The Moon sextiles the Sun, and the Moon triggers a Water Grand Trine with the Cancer Moon trine Neptune in Pisces and the Moon trine Jupiter in Scorpio. The Moon also opposes Pluto. Mercury exits Leo to enter its own Sign of Virgo and in so doing reinforces the Earth Grand Trine with Mercury joining the Sun in Virgo, Uranus in Taurus, and the Stellium of Capricorn-transiting planets of Mars, Saturn and Pluto. The Lunar Grand trine creates a Kite pattern chart with the Pluto in orb of sextiles to both Jupiter and Neptune. This can be an emotional day and a highly visionary day. Our feeling nature is ratcheted up severalfold enhancing our intuition and giving us a sense that all is right in our world. If we listen to our inner voice, prioritize our engagements, we could find ourselves coming up with the right template by which things can fall neatly into place. The main issue and major liability is any tendency for us to get carried away with ourselves. There can be such ease to this day that we assume everything is going to run smoothly from now into eternity. Nice concept, but like the ocean’s waves, there are times when we can be riding the crest of the wave, other times when we get body slammed and dropped into the trough of the wave. Today and Friday we can be cresting but tomorrow, if we fall into our arrogance, we could get slammed. Let’s use today to be highly productive and amazingly effective and notice the wonder of things coming together in some most fascinating ways.
Thursday, September 6th – Trouble with Narcissism – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Mars, Uranus, Saturn direct. In the early morning hours, the Cancer Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square Venus in Libra and the Moon opposed Mars in Capricorn. The Moon then moves into Leo where today the Leo Moon squares Uranus. Saturn turns direct ending its four and a half month retrograde cycle. Yesterday could have been easy gliding and might have triggered a sense that nothing could go wrong, everything going right. Lovely idea, and certainly one that we all would prefer to experience. But that’s not real life, and today could give us a heads-up, or whack on the side of the head, to make us aware that it’s not always easy pickings. Whether someone pops our balloon of illusion and fascination or our responsibilities stomp on our idyll wanderings, Thursday can have us feeling like we are no longer engineer of our magical, mystery tour, but rather a victim to circumstance and to someone’s pratering. Even if we try to enforce our own ideas and creative endeavors as the Moon moves into Leo, we could be blocked by some unexpected situation that knocks us for a loop. Today is a day for us to tone things down, maintain vigilance and be alert to incoming from any direction. Things will change, they always do, but it’s important that we not fall into narcissism or victimization.
Friday, September 7th – Aware and Clear – Jupiter, Mercury Grand Trine, Uranus, Saturn, Sun, Neptune. If we didn’t get knocked for a loop yesterday, especially after coming off of Wednesday’s fantastic energy configurations, then we can get back on the fast track on this Friday. The Leo Moon squares Jupiter, and the Sun opposes Neptune. We might be a little skittish today, overly judgmental of ourselves, and as a consequence we might assume that we need more resources than necessary. Such a belief would be more self-protection than reality. Friday has Mercury in Virgo triggering an Earth Grand Trine with Mercury trine Uranus in Taurus and Mercury trine Saturn in Capricorn. If we would take the time to think things through, draw upon our expertise developed from experience and combine it with streamlined methods and innovative approaches, we could come up with a most productive template. This is a day for us to engage our reasoning, analytical mind and not fall into a perfectionist or ‘poor me’ attitude. If we don’t make ourselves our own worst enemy, we could virtually move mountains today. We might be highly emotional but let’s try and concentrate on using our rational mind rather than our feeling nature. Our sensitivity worked well for us on Wednesday, but today calls for us to be hard-nosed, less emotional and more rational.
Saturday, September 8th – Picking Up Steam – Venus, Lunar Grand Trine. Uranus, Saturn, Mercury, Mars. Hopefully we got out of our own way yesterday, spent time devising a best practices approach and a highly effective strategy to deal with our responsibilities and with new projects that we might consider to pursue. Saturday continues in the same vein. Yesterday we had Mercury triggering an Earth Grand Trine, and today the Moon replicates the Earth Grand Trine as the Virgo Moon conjuncts Mercury and the Moon trines Uranus in Taurus and the Moon trines Saturn in Capricorn. The Moon also sextiles Venus and Venus squares Mars. We can elicit the support of someone today, but the support would need to be an adjunct to what we are doing with little input on their part except to follow our lead. Friday and Saturday are two days when we can accomplish a great deal. Not only can we deal with the big picture but no small detail is likely to fall between the cracks. We are on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon, but Friday and Saturday are days when we can line up our ducks in a row and use the New Moon tomorrow as the time to pull the trigger and launch forward with projects related to our greatest ambitions. The beauty of this Friday through Sunday is our ability to get things in order and to see the New Moon as a time when we truly engage our projects, both those routine involvements and new trajectories.
Sunday, September 9th – Off to the Races – Neptune, Virgo New Moon, Sun, Jupiter, Pluto, Venus Scorpio. Sunday has the Virgo Moon opposed Neptune, the Virgo New Moon as the Moon conjuncts the Sun, the Moon sextile Jupiter, and the Moon trine Pluto. Venus exits its own Sign of Libra to enter Scorpio, a Sign of Detriment for Venus where Venus is not at all comfortable. The New Moon has a Stellium of three planets in Virgo as the Moon joins the Sun and Mercury in the Mutable Earth Sign and truly reinforces the Earth Grand Trine that has gone on by orb since the Sun entered Virgo back on the 22nd – 23rd of August. It is really with this New Moon that the Earth Grand Trine is truly engaged, and we could find ourselves off to the races. With its influence over the next fortnight, the next two weeks up to the Full Moon on the 24th, this Sunday with the Virgo New Moon can give us the impetus to engage our greatest ambitions, to be truly productive and not to allow anything to fall between the cracks. This New Moon signature has seven planets in Earth Signs, and three planets in Water Signs. We have only the negative Signs engaged with both Air and Fire lacking. We may not have a fire in our belly nor fully capable of expressing our ideas to others, but this could be more a time for us to put our head down, nose to grindstone and accomplish as much as we possibly can with a respite every now and then of looking up to see the distant horizon of where we are intending to go. Now is a time for us to make hay while the sun shines.
