The astrology for this week of October 1st through the 7th of 2018 demands we speak softly and be accommodating in our interactions. The liability for people going off the rails and becoming argumentative or downright belligerent cannot be discounted with many people’s nerves being fraught and frayed.
Perhaps we need to look to a more pleasant future and try to escape not only the past but also the brittle present. If people are not suffering cases of agita from all the goings-on, it would be surprising.
The early part of the week can have us finding solace in family and friends, the comfort zone of our familiarity. We might be interested in what’s out there at the far horizons, but we may prefer to look from the sanctity of our hidey hole home.
After what might have been a traumatic end to last week and a beginning to this week, the week settles down mid-week as we engage our creative interests and focus more on our projects and less on the craziness in the world-at-large. Let’s try to keep in perspective that many matters on the world stage have little bearing on our personal lives if any. By concentrating on the good things in our lives and all our bounteous blessings, we can disengage from the insipid dramas occurring in the larger realm. The macro dissipates as it gets to the micro.
The latter part of the week and the weekend may have us doing our autumnal cleanup. No matter what the weather might be, we are likely to be mindful of the changing atmospheric conditions with the impending approach of winter. It may be time to clear up our individual messes and concentrate on the truly important projects. Broadcast static and mental noise only confuse and exhaust.
Monday, October 1st – Runaround – Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus, Saturn. The week begins with the Moon in Gemini still Void-of-Course since yesterday just before Noon EDT. The Moon continues Void-of-Course with the Moon making no connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer in the early afternoon. The Cancer Moon today sextiles Uranus and the Moon opposes Saturn. We could start this week in a form of runaround, doing this, doing that, but largely spinning our wheels with our interest not so much in the present as in an assumed future scenario. There can be a lot of talk and no action today. As the day progresses, we might seek to make various changes with a willingness to buy various accessories for our home or our wardrobe. While we may be okay with how we appear, we might want to add a little spice or flash to our image. We can consider a makeover, whether to our appearance, our wardrobe, or our home. Purchases might be impulse purchases so we have to be wary of our spending and tacking onto our credit card balance. While the new and the different are likely to be appealing with us flying high, our responsibilities could step in and bring us back down to ground to deal with our normal obligations.
Tuesday, October 2nd – Hiding Out in the Comforts – Lunar Grand Trine, Venus, Neptune, Lunar T-Square, Sun, Pluto, Mercury. Tuesday is a day when we might seek comfort and support in the familiar. We may even consider hiding out at home. Tuesday has the Cancer Moon triggering a Water Grand Trine with the Moon trine Venus in Scorpio and the Moon trine Neptune in Pisces. As a reflection of the push – pull of these times, the Moon also triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Cancer Moon square the Sun and square Mercury both in Libra, and the Moon opposed Pluto in Capricorn. Mercury squares Pluto. On the one hand, we could be offering nurture and comfort to someone or, at the least, to ourselves. But we might also try to go out of our way for someone, take on responsibilities that are not of our making, and embrace the sentiment of ‘there but for the grace of god go I’. Maudlin sentimentality and misguided spirituality can have a nasty snapback today. There has been a great deal of the metronome between depression and anger exhibited in society recently, and today could be a day when our caring outreach is received not with gratitude and appreciation but rather with a snarl and a bite. Tuesday would be a good day for us to lay back and enjoy the familiar without stepping out too far or engaging too many dramas. If people need to go the victim route, so be it, but such an engagement can be like a runaway train with few positive results. Someone could be in the highly negative mindset today, so it would be wise to hold our cards close to our chest and not reveal our future plans or try to justify our actions. This can be a day of walking on figurative eggshells, so we might prefer the comforts of home and enjoy some alone time with our loving thoughts and the many blessings in our life.
Wednesday, October 3rd – Flying High, Adjusting Wings – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus. The day begins with the Cancer Moon trine Jupiter in the early morning hours. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost thirteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo late in the day and the Leo Moon squares Uranus. We can start this day in an upbeat and inspired manner, feeling that all is right in our world. Our spiritual sense may be activated, giving us the sense that we are on the right track, on our own individual path. For much of the day we could be in reveries, contemplating and appreciating our own individual journey and with a belief that our inner knowing is guiding us. That doesn’t mean that we won’t hit some bumps in the road. That’s all part of life and living. Late in the day, we might seek to explore creative outlets, doing something different from our norm and stretching our wings. Let’s keep in mind that in any new pursuit, the beginning may be tentative with us trying this, trying that, before settling on something that truly works for us. In stretching our wings, we might have to adjust our wings, change our rhythm, even shift our trajectory. It’s all part of process, often a necessary one, but such shifts, changes and adjustments shouldn’t prevent us from stepping out of our comfort zone and exploring new realms.
Thursday, October 4th – Turbulence Before Settling In – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Venus, Sun. Thursday continues with the Moon transiting Leo. Today, the Leo Moon triggers a Fixed Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed Mars and the Moon square Venus. Later, the Moon sextiles the Sun. We may have a lot on our plate as we start the day, possibly by reason of our having put a lot on our plate. Things today could take longer than we like. There can be delays, added expense, and people just getting in our way. Let’s not get frustrated by any hiccups we might encounter, but instead take a bemused attitude. Sometimes, it seems as though our lives are some sort of tragi – comedy with various ups and downs along the way. We might wish to focus on broadening our interests today. It would be wise for us to count our costs before setting forth. Fortunately, while delays can be frustrating, they also allow for braking actions whereby we can slow down or stop in order to re-evaluate what we are doing, why we’re doing it, and where we are going with it all. The later hours can be more like greased wheels whereby someone offers suggestions or provides assistance to make the going smoother, easier, and faster.
Friday, October 5th – Clearing Out and Cleaning Up – Mercury, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus, Venus retrograde. Friday begins with the Leo Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon square Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo in the evening and the Virgo Moon trines Uranus. Venus turns retrograde in a Sign of its Detriment, Scorpio, where Venus is not comfortable. We may have all sorts of plans as we start this day but possibly too many to actually engage. Due diligence is called for, may be lacking. Although we might assume that Friday is a day to tie up loose ends before starting the weekend, the actual reverse today could be the case. Whether we participate in our routine activities or not, we are likely to be spending the morning hours chatting up people and more in the realm of spreading our self thin in doing what we want to do and less time in actually dealing with the specifics of our normal obligations. Later in the day, as the Moon moves into Virgo, our focus can shift and we may be strategizing a weekend for an autumn cleanup. Venus retrograde through Scorpio for the rest of the month could increase our passion in relationships and with the liability of greater jealousy and faultfinding in other people.
Saturday, October 6th – Getting it Done – Saturn, Venus, Neptune. Saturday has the Virgo Moon trine Saturn, the Moon sextile Venus, and the Moon opposed Neptune. This can be a highly productive day when we might accomplish a great deal and do so in a most resourceful manner. We might fly through our errands thanks to adept time management skills. We could have nose to grindstone and address various matters with a concentrated focus and with nothing falling between the cracks. The day may not be the most fun, but we can get a lot done. By the time evening rolls around, and if we have plans to socialize, we might just be too exhausted to do much more than crash on the living room couch and watch a movie. Rather than major fun events, this weekend is better served in catching up with outstanding matters, tying up loose ends, and bringing to completion a major autumnal cleanup.
Sunday, October 7th – Finishing Touches – Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday night, yesterday and today concentrate the energy on dealing with the details of our lives. This weekend can be a good time for us to clean things, clear things out and prioritize our involvements. Sunday continues with the Virgo Moon with the Moon today trine Pluto and the Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eleven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra on Sunday night. This Sunday can be a day of finishing the culling. We can get rid of the superfluous and extraneous and make room for activities that are more in keeping with where we are and where we want go. No rat packing for us this weekend. It’s a time to do our inventory taking and then eliminate. Let’s keep in mind that the universe doesn’t like a void. By reducing the stuff in our lives, we can get unstuck, free up space and then fill that space for more energetic and creative endeavors. This is certainly a day, and a weekend, for us to enlist the ‘out with the old’, even in we don’t initially bring in the new.
