The astrology for this week of July 9th through the 15th of 2018 gives us the impetus to put our spirit into action with practical, realistic steps.
We can make things happen this week with a little help, maybe a lot of help, from the universe and the favorable astrological energy configurations.
Eeyore, no more! Enough with the whining, moaning and complaining! Time for us to be proactive and create our personal world filled with peace, love and happiness. As Taylor Swift sang in her song Shake It Off: “…the haters gonna hate, hate, hate…”. Hating is toxic to our well-being, and there’s no reason for any one of us to go there. We live in a world of incredible blessings and in this paradigm shift when things happen in a nanosecond we are privy to the magic and miracles. Let’s embrace the possibilities, the positive.
The week starts off with us feeling like nothing is too much for us to handle. We may be in a highly expansive mood, confident and ready to take on the world.
Exuberance is all well and good unless it borders or steps off into irrational exuberance. And we could have a liability to do so, especially with Jupiter, the planet of expansion with optimistic confidence, turning direct after being retrograde for the past four months.
The week begins with Venus exiting Leo to enter Virgo and thereby triggering an Earth Grand Trine by Sign with Venus in Virgo, Uranus in Taurus, and Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. The Grand Trine in Earth joins another Grand Trine at this time, the Water Grand Trine by Sign being exact last week with the Sun in Cancer trine Jupiter in Scorpio and the Sun trine Neptune in Pisces. The Water Grand Trine was exact last week, and this week has the Earth Grand Trine exact, as Venus trines Uranus on Wednesday and Venus trines Saturn on Saturday.
This combination is accentuated with the Solar Eclipse on Thursday at the time of the Cancer New Moon. The Solar Eclipse and Cancer New Moon impact the next fortnight and beyond. We have the two Grand Trines in effect with the Sun Moon conjunction opposed Pluto. We may be considering what distractions and needless involvements to rid ourselves. We might feel the impetus to get ever more real with our doing life, engaging our personal journey on the earth plane from our essence, from our soul level.
The end of the week and the first part of the weekend can have us looking for fun events, creative pursuits and ways to express ourselves in playful and meaningful outlets.
We end the weekend and the week taking care of business, tying up loose ends and preparing to advance new projects.
Monday, July 9th – All This and More – Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus Virgo. We start the week with the Moon finishing its transit of Taurus and as it does so the Taurus Moon squares Venus in Leo, just before Venus exits Leo to enter Virgo late in the day. The Moon exits Taurus to enter Gemini. Mercury squares Jupiter. Our plans can be grandiose as we start the week, and the costs liable to be ever more. This is a day when we might try to participate in too much, spend too much, promise too much. You get it. The propensity today is to broaden our reach with a sense that nothing is… too much. It would be wise for us to prioritize our activities, for we could easily fall into overwhelm, trying to cover so many bases but doing so in a perfunctory manner. With the Water Grand Trine still accentuated, we could feel as though we are being divinely guided, but such a belief might disguise a sense of narcissism and entitlement. Today is a day to rein in our appetite and our involvements. We can accomplish more today by taking things step by step rather than some great leap forward.
Tuesday, July 10th – Filling a Void – Mars, Mercury, Neptune, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter direct. There are times, and recently could have been one of those times, when we feel a certain discontent with the way our life is going. We can see all the wrongs in the world, everything that is wrong in our personal world. While such an attitude is not necessarily constructive, each of us has the tendency to fall into the pit of self-pity. Instead of focusing on what is going on right in front of us, we look further afield, either to our future plans or the ills of the world at large. This Tuesday has the Gemini Moon trine Mars, the Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon square Neptune. Jupiter ends its retrograde cycle to turn direct. We could encounter any number of things today, seeking involvements, looking to engage other people in conversation or in projects. We might feel the desire to expand our engagements. While this is a day when we might be running from one thing to another to yet another, we could be trying to fill a certain void that we sense in our life. Like the story of Goldilocks, nothing might seem just right. We can build up our expectations, enhance our desires, but at the end of the day we could be left feeling as though nothing is quite right. This is a day when we might prefer to do a wide variety of sampling, trying this, trying that, without any intention of real commitment. Sampling a myriad of experiences would go along way for us to later determine what we would choose to focus on, but today is not a day for concentration but rather throwing wide open the arena of possibilities. Later in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for twenty hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer tomorrow.
Wednesday, July 11th – Serendipity Calling – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Uranus, Saturn. We are living in a fast-paced world where things are moving ever faster and we are called upon to handle any number of things in a short period of time that just a few years ago would have allowed us days or months to address. This acceleration in our living also has a sense of times when the brakes are jammed on and we come to a screeching halt. The energy goes from being fast and furious to suddenly being stalled and stagnant. This sense of stopped up energy often occurs with the Moon being Void-of-Course, and late Tuesday through the first half of this Wednesday can have us feeling like the energy has died down and that we are moving more like through molasses than our usual sense of being on the fast track. The first half of this Wednesday has the Moon finishing its transit of Gemini without any connections to the planets. We could be juggling a number of things as we start this Wednesday but nothing is truly likely to stick. As the day progresses, the Moon moves into Cancer where today the Moon sextiles Venus in Virgo and the Moon sextiles Uranus in Taurus. The Moon opposes Saturn. Late In the day, the Earth Grand Trine is accentuated as Venus trines Uranus with the Earth Grand Trine highlighted over the weekend with Venus trine Saturn. This Wednesday also has us on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s Cancer New Moon, a Solar Eclipse. Today may be a day to straighten things, tidy up and get our house in order prior to tomorrow’s New Moon and the initiation of a new cycle. It would be wise for us to have our antennae up and work with peripheral vision for unexpected and exciting situations might arise late in the day. Interesting encounters can give us a new spin on things, make us aware of possibilities we had not taken into account and allow us to see life from a different, possibly more intriguing, viewpoint.
Thursday, July 12th – Eye of the Needle – Lunar Grand Trine, Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, Cancer New Moon, Solar Eclipse, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Thursday begins with the Cancer Moon triggering the Water Grand Trine with the Moon trine Jupiter in Scorpio and the Moon trine Neptune in Pisces. The Moon opposes Pluto and then the Moon conjuncts the Sun at the time of the Cancer New Moon, a Solar Eclipse. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for fifteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Cancer and before the Moon enters Leo on Friday. The Sun opposes Pluto. With an emphasis upon spiritual compassion, a desire to express our truth and focus on the truly significant in our lives, this day and its influence over the next two weeks and beyond is a time when we might cull from our lives the extraneous and superfluous and lay down the foundation stones for our life going forward. We could feel like the camel squeezing through the eye of the needle with intense pressure as to what to keep and bring into our life and what to eliminate and be rid of. Not only can we concentrate on building a nest for ourselves, a base camp from which to move out and climb the summit. We may make significant determinations regarding how we choose to live our life as we continue on. A strong spiritual component may enter our life. What we need to recognize and appreciate is the fact that we may have a general sense of what we want to do and where we want to go and how we want to go about it. Increasingly in this paradigm shift, many of our movements are going to be influenced by unanticipated variables. We may come to realize that even the seemingly impossible can occur. We have entered a most mysterious time, a time when the boundaries between dimensions are a great deal thinner, and more influences other than our own choice are impacting our personal journal and the steps along our pathway.
Friday, July 13th – Right Timing – Moon Void-of-Course, Uranus. Friday is the 13th, a day that most people fear due to their association of the number 13 with evil and bad luck. Although this superstition has plagued people through countless time, in truth 13 also represents transformation and the realized individual who has gone through earthly mundane experience and been able to transcend the ego personality to come back to the realized individual and embrace their destiny as the son [sun] of god. This Friday continues with the Void-of-Course Moon going through Cancer without making any further connections to the planets. As the day progresses the Moon moves into Leo where today the Moon squares Uranus. We may start the day pacing the floor, getting anxious about situations, whether those situations are related to our personal world or the crazy-making incidents occurring in the world at large. Our time would be better served meditating, praying, reflecting and contemplating rather than all the nervousness and concern about matters that are beyond our control and often beyond our scope. If we would take the time to consider nature and the natural unfolding in nature’s cycles, we could be comforted and come to understand that in truth ‘all things work out in the end’. They may not work according to our whims but life continues on and on with its own natural, even if seemingly bizarre, unfolding. When the Moon moves into Leo today, we may get something of a second wind, far more proactive and desirous of engaging fun events. The challenge for us, and a challenge each of us meets during this paradigm shift, is the sense of not being fully in control of events. No matter what our plans for the second half and evening of this day may be, unexpected situations could crop up that force us to alter our plans or engage contingency plans.
Saturday, July 14th – Reconnections, Good Friends – Lunar T-Square, Mars, Jupiter, Mercury, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn. Saturday has the Leo Moon triggering a Fixed Sign T-Square as the Moon opposes Mars in Aquarius and the Moon squares Jupiter in Scorpio. Late in the day the Moon conjuncts Mercury before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over eighteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo tomorrow. Venus completes the Earth Grand Trine by aspect with Venus trine Saturn in Capricorn today following the Venus trine Uranus in Taurus on this past Wednesday. Things may start off awry with no one being on the same page. There can be a push pull of conflicting interests as we start this Saturday. We might be looking ahead to our future when we should be looking in the rear view mirror as to where we’ve been. No rushing the river today, for otherwise we could find ourselves in raging rapids. Old, reliable friends may enhance our day. On the one hand we may want to focus on our creative pursuits with the desire for re-creational activities. Let’s not push the envelope, for haste could lead to accidents or heavy expenses. Even if we feel blocked, any delays could prove to our advantage. This is a day for us to slow things down and not get too self-absorbed. Someone we trust and care about could prove our saving grace whether in their suggestions or their comfort. Things seem to slow down with smoother sailing as the day progresses.
Sunday, July 15th – Readying Ourselves – Moon Void-of-Course, Lunar Grand Trine, Uranus, Saturn. Sunday begins with the Moon Void-of-Course as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon moves into Virgo. With the Moon in Virgo the later part of this Sunday and the evening reinforces the Earth Grand Trine as the Virgo Moon trines Uranus in Taurus and the Moon trines Saturn in Capricorn. The early part of the day may be for enjoying ourselves, having a good time, relaxing and recreating, or re-creating. Later in the day we may be a little more serious and more interested in getting things accomplished. Not only can we draw upon our experience and expertise but we can also devise a best practices approach whereby we can streamline operations and work smarter rather than harder. Not only can we be highly productive later on this Sunday, and nothing is likely to fall between the cracks. We may be preparing for the week ahead and able to effectively plan our next steps in realizing our goals.
