The astrology for this week of February 5th through the 11th asks us not to get so circumspect that we lose out on unexpected opportunities to expand and broaden our reach.
The week begins with us excited about things we may have heard or acquaintances we may have made over the recent days. Although the opportunity to stretch beyond our usual limitations may be there, we might be hesitant to move out of our comfort zone. With all the children’s talk about safe and happy places, such an attitude can be restrictive and closes us out to the magic of these times — the likelihood of things coming out of the blue. Why put on blinders when the excitement comes from the peripheral vision of looking all around?
The early part of this week might find us encountering an interesting and exciting person. We may want to resolve issues and bring things to completion in order to add new ingredients to the mix towards the latter part of the week. Let’s keep our antennae up and be open to suggestions we hear along our way.
Life can be a series of trajectories, but they don’t always have to be straight line trajectories. Sometimes the curves and radical departures could prove far more exciting than our planned itinerary.
The latter part of the week may have us spreading our wings. We might consider travel plans or expanding into new projects. A thrust of energy can impel us forward and a dose of optimism, even blind faith, could add fuel to our fire.
The weekend can be a time of reconnections and a willingness to hear the tales of other people’s life journeys. Our compassion can be engaged, especially as Venus exits Aquarius to enter Pisces. In so doing, Venus ends the Stellium of three planets in Aquarius, Venus enters its Sign of exaltation and joins Neptune, the higher octave of Venus in the Mutable Water Sign that Neptune rules. Our spirituality may be heightened, but it would be wise that our spirituality be true with a large dose of tough love and not fall into the maudlin sentimentality of wishing things were better without doing anything to make them so.
Monday, February 5th – Calling All Angels – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday begins the week with the Moon finishing its transit of Libra. Today, the Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon square Pluto and the Moon opposed Uranus. Sandwiched in between, the Moon trines Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nine hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio late on this Monday. We could start this week all over the place, attending to our normal responsibilities, wanting to devote time to our own personal interests, all the while that we are juggling many different situations and going from one thing to another to another. We could seem like a whirling dervish on this Monday, spinning around, dealing with all sorts of matters but possibly doing so without proper attention to all the particulars. Fortunately, someone could step in and suggest a prioritization that may have escaped us. Let’s take into account another person’s observations and suggestions, for they are likely to come from someone who has an objective perspective and a desire to help us focus.
Tuesday, February 6th – Sorting Through – Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Uranus. Tuesday has the Scorpio Moon with the Moon sextile Saturn, the Moon square Mercury, and the Moon trine Neptune. Venus sextiles Uranus. This is a day for us to get our head straight, deal with our tasks at hand and devise a best practices approach to our many activities. We could be easily distracted today, more interested in engaging the new and different rather than our routine responsibilities. Let’s deal with what needs to get done. We could experience an interesting encounter today, either someone we know or a serendipitous new connection. Like yesterday, interesting news or suggested possibilities can come from someone other than ourselves. Before we participate in any extra activities, we could use this day to tie up loose ends, rid ourselves of the extraneous and clear some space to make way for the new and the different. This is one of those days when the empirical might indicate one thing, but the true reality lies more in the alternatives and possibilities, even the seemingly impossible.
Wednesday, February 7th – Resourcefulness at its Best – Sun, Pluto, Jupiter. Wednesday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today square the Sun, the Moon sextile Pluto and the Moon conjunct Jupiter. We could be grandiose in our plans and our prospects, but this Wednesday is better served by our focusing our priorities, concentrating on the truly imperative and being as resourceful as we possibly can. This is a day for us to keep our head down and put one foot in front of the other. We might choose to hold our cards close to our chest and just attend to our personal matters without a wide broadcast of our intentions. If we were to ask for input from other people, we could wind up accommodating and capitulating to their perspective rather than what we know to be right and evident. We can accomplish a great deal today, but it would be wise that we look at what is right in front of us rather than diffusing our attention by looking at the far reaches and the distant impressionistic horizon. Abstract is all well and good but today is a day for concretization.
Thursday, February 8th – Looking Up, Looking Out – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. The early morning hours of this Thursday has the Scorpio Moon square Venus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for six and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon moves into Sagittarius. The saying that ‘the cup has to be emptied before it can be filled’ is a good concept to keep in mind as we start this Thursday. Some of our desires may be nothing more than a quest into a fool’s paradise — hopes and wishes that seem good in concept but could prove bramble paths were we to choose to pursue them. A strong inventory taking and clearing out the cobwebs of the ‘could be’ would be advised to start this Thursday. Perhaps we did so as well on Wednesday, but the more we can clear the decks of the dross in our lives, the more space we shall have to expand our activities and develop pursuits that are more in keeping with our interests and our path. We do not have to expand our activities today. On the contrary, we might decide to eliminate the outmoded, bring to completion certain projects and then consider the blank slate upon which we can draw or paint expansive engagements more in keeping with our own developing process.
Friday, February 9th – On All Cylinders – Mars, Neptune, Mercury. Friday has the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today conjunct Mars, the Moon square Neptune, and the Moon sextile Mercury. We could be fast out of the starting gate on this Friday and quite possibly champing at the bit before the starting gate opens. This is a day when we could be in turbothrust, ready to take on the world, broaden our reach and expand our activities. We have drive and passion today. What we also need, however, is a direction, itinerary and destination. Otherwise, we could start off on all cylinders but wind up going in circles rather than with focused intent. Even if we get off track today, we can reconnoiter late in the day, refocus our intentions and get back on track. This is a day when we are looking to expand our activities. Let’s just be sure that our expansion is well considered and with a true purpose behind it.
Saturday, February 10th – Generous to a Fault – Sun, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Jupiter, Venus Pisces. Saturday has us looking at doing something different with our time. This is a day when we might choose to spread our wings, ride on the air currents and engage interesting people who both fascinate us and advocate for us. The day begins with the Sagittarius Moon sextile the Sun and the Moon trine Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for ten hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn late in the day when the Moon sextiles Venus just after Venus entered Pisces today. Venus exits Aquarius ending the Stellium of three planets in the Fixed Air Sign and Venus enters Pisces, a Sign of Exaltation for Venus where Venus is comfortable, and also joins Neptune, the planet that rules Pisces and the planet that is the higher octave of Venus. The Sun squares Jupiter. We may be so enamored with whatever we are doing, that we could go the extra mile and then some. Not only are we likely to overextend ourselves physically but we might also do so financially. Our compassion can be engaged and we might be willing to help someone out even to the point of taking on their problems and trying to resolve them for them. Today is a day when it would be wise for us to engage the wise advice of ‘moderation in all things’. It’s wise advice but may not be heeded. Excess, indulgence and over generosity are liabilities with today’s energy configurations.
Sunday, February 11th – Slow Going – Saturn. Yesterday might have had us flying high and fully enjoying ourselves. Sunday could be something of a thud as the Capricorn Moon today conjuncts Saturn. We may have to deal with old issues or we might find that there are certain delays going on today. Commitments made before may seem imposing today. It would be important for us not to fall into a funk. Some of us might find ourselves taking a walk down Memory Lane, getting together with old friends, or revisiting old haunts. Let’s try to do what needs to get done and with the recognition that things may take longer than we might like. Let’s keep in mind that holdups often allow for a tempering and a tweaking. Whenever we’re flying high, and we might have been yesterday, it’s always wise to take some time, reflect and consider what we have experienced and what we want to engage in the days ahead. This Sunday could be a day of slow going, but it also allows us to take into account what we have done and what we might be doing. Let’s keep in mind that we are on a waning Moon prior to next Thursday’s New Moon, and a Solar Eclipse, so this is a time when it’s better for us to complete, conclude and resolve rather than initiating. There are times when we need to go back or, at least, look back before we move forward, and this Sunday is one of those times.
