February 19th – 25th, 2018

The astrology for this week of February 19th through the 25th can have us in fits of starts and stops. We may want to initiate projects that reflect our creative abilities and widen our reach. We might want to also take the time to stop and smell the flowers, all those elements of our lives that go to create a wonderful bouquet.

The week begins with us fast out of the starting gate. We may have great ideas and intentions as to how we expand our activities and engage those projects that allow us to express our creative side. We may not want any parade rainers to dampen our spirits, since our confidence and faith in ourselves might be somewhat tentative. We could suffer the liability of looking over our shoulder and waiting for some shoe or other to drop. Let’s not get paranoid if we face delays and blockages in our forward progress. On the contrary, let’s see any delays as an opportunity to tweak, refine and better develop our involvements.

The mid-week can be highly idyllic. If we would take things step by step, we could find ourselves incorporating essential ingredients and presenting our projects with appealing panache. We do have to be wary that we ourselves are not snookered by seductive packages but that we take the time to do our due diligence to see what the substance to the appearance might truly be.

The end of the week and the weekend can be an incredible whirlwind. We could be all over the place but perhaps without enough focus or concentration. Immediate reactions might prove catastrophic but we could be so caught up in the frenzy that we don’t take the time to put on the brakes, consider the implications of our actions and instead go ahead in a fury of activity but without itinerary in hand and with the liability of going around in circles.

The latter part of the weekend might have us calling for a ‘time out’, seeking the comforts of home, and reflecting on what is truly going on for us.

This is a week of incredible ups and downs with a great deal of emotional swings. Let’s keep in mind continually that we are in the midst of a paradigm shift, that our control over situations may be tenuous at best, and that in truth there are no mistakes, only detours and bumps in the road.

Monday, February 19th – Full Speed Until – Mars, Pluto. This week begins with the Aries Moon and the Moon trine Mars, Mars being the ruler of Aries. We can be fast out of the starting gate as we begin this week, wanting to broaden our reach and expand our activities. We could be going great guns as we start out on this Monday. To the extreme, we could act as if a law unto ourselves, and this kind of disposition might prove a significant problem, a treacherous issue. While we have the energy to move mountains, someone or the universe may not want it moved the way we are doing so. If we’re soaring with the eagles on this Monday, we have to watch that we’re not getting our wings clipped late in the day. Our enthusiasm, confidence and desire to expand our activities could have things falling between the cracks or our negating some of our responsibilities. This is a day when we need to utilize braking action so that we avoid running away with ourselves. We need the braking action to slow things down, allow us to evaluate and reevaluate as we go along, and remind us that we have our usual tasks we need to address. This can be a highly energetic day. We might have pedal to the metal but let’s avoid going so fast that we end up hitting a brick wall.

Tuesday, February 20th – Going My Way – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun. Even if we got clobbered late on Monday by demands that we had forgotten, this Tuesday starts off with us wanting to do our own thing or doing our usual tasks in a rather innovative manner. The day starts with the Aries Moon conjunct Uranus. In whatever way that we can streamline operations and be more effective with less expenditure of energy, we are likely to embrace and implement the means to do so. While this Tuesday begins with the Aries Moon conjunct Uranus, the Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus, where today the Taurus Moon sextiles the Sun. After an impetuous start to the week, we can tone things down, take things step by step in a methodical manner and accomplish more than our frenzied running around. The latter part of the day allows us to put things in order and straighten things out.

Wednesday, February 21st – Nothing Could Be Finer – Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, Venus. This Wednesday could be a highly effective day, a day when we can accomplish a great deal and enjoy doing so. The Taurus Moon trines Saturn and the Moon sextiles the Pisces transiting planets of Mercury, Neptune and Venus. Venus conjuncts Neptune, and Mercury sextiles Saturn. This is a day when we might be intending to put our spirit into action, be of assistance and / or be assisted. This Wednesday is not about working harder to be productive. On the contrary, by drawing upon our intuitive sense and taking the time to devise our best practices strategy, we could find ourselves achieving results with very little effort, as though everything were operating on greased wheels. Our relationships may be close to ideal, although we have to be astute as to whether we are doing the dance with our idyllic partner or with a toad dressed in grand splendor. Thinking things through and giving ourselves time to fully evaluate situations will allow us to discern what is really going on. Let’s keep in mind that life does not have to be hard, and this Wednesday could be a good reminder of the fact that life can be easy and fully enjoyable.

Thursday, February – Sublime to Ridiculous – Pluto, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course. Yesterday could have had us lazing by the shore waiting for our ship to come in. And that would have been a shame, for we would have wasted a primo day when we could have accomplished a great deal and without much effort on our part. Thursday begins in such a vein with the Taurus Moon trine Pluto to start the day. Shortly thereafter, the Moon opposes Jupiter and then the Moon goes Void-of-Course for over twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon moves into Gemini to kick off fast and furious days tomorrow and into the weekend. If we would prioritize our efforts, we could focus on the truly important, resolve various matters and get a lot done. We may feel that we’re riding the wave of yesterday’s highly successful effectiveness. Such an attitude might be okay to start the day, but we may also find ourselves in rip currents if we over-expand, try to do too much and engage a disposition of overconfidence. Our resourcefulness could fly out the window if we take on too much and forget a necessary budget whereby our expenses would then liable to become extreme. Wednesday and Thursday allow us to get a great deal done. Let’s have our ‘to do’ list, check things off but not add anything to it once we’ve gotten much of it done.

Friday, February 23rd – All Over the Place – Sun, Mercury, Neptune, Venus. Friday can be one of those headache-provoking days, and it would seem largely our own fault. The Gemini Moon today squares the four Pisces transiting planets of the Sun, Mercury, Neptune and Venus. We could be so hopped up that we start off the day running around with little direction and no itinerary in hand. Quick hits might be our approach to this day and as a result we might have various things going on without getting a whole lot done. Let’s avoid grabbing at straws, getting bits of information without full disclosure, and then running off with the ball without knowing where we’re going or what we’re doing. Anxieties and fears can be ratcheted up today, so it would be wise to put on our noise blockers since there can be all sorts of allegations, all sorts of concerns, all with an inclination of suggesting that the world is coming to an end. Yes, the crazies may be at the ramparts and like Chicken Little running around saying ‘the sky is falling’. All the recent buzz phrases of ‘Russia Collusion’, ‘Me Too’, ‘Financial Armageddon’, ‘World War III’ and the other themes that trigger grievous concern could be all rolled up into one big ball to scare the bejeebers out of us. You got to love how objective reporting has morphed into partisan commentators. Reminds me of the old Buffalo Springfield lyric in For What It’s Worth: ‘Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong’. If we want to maintain sanity, it would be wise for us to ‘pay it no mind’.

Saturday, February 24th – Every Which Way – Mars, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Saturday begins with the Gemini Moon opposed Mars, and later in the day the Moon sextiles Uranus just before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for seven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon moves into Cancer late in the day. Like a kid in a candy store, we could have all sorts of intentions for this day. It would be wise for us prioritize our activities as we start the day with the recognition that the more we can accomplish in the early part of the day, the more time we would have to act on impulse later in the day. We do have to be wary of exhausting ourselves by running around. We might feel that we can do it all and then some, but such an attitude would be foolish. Let’s be certain to have some ‘time outs’, those times when we take a moment or two just to catch our breath.

Sunday, February 25th – Listen to the Inner Voice – Sun, Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, Venus, Mars. Sunday’s Cancer Moon trines three of the Pisces-transiting planets — the Sun, Neptune and Mercury. The Moon opposes Saturn. Venus squares Mars, Mercury conjuncts Neptune, and the Sun sextiles Saturn. We might prefer the comforts of home today and to take time for ourselves. We could have certain commitments that we are obligated to, and we may wish to cancel out of them. The magic of this day lies in the unknown, so if we grumble about certain things that we ‘have’ to do today, it would be suggested we go ahead with our plans, for there could be something magical about our interactions today. This is a day when we can be highly astute, able to learn more from our feeling nature than empirical reason, and might just trip upon something that inspires and comforts us. No matter how crazy the world seems to be with so much seemingly spinning out of control, the lack of control during this paradigm shift is where the mini-miracles may lie. This is a day to turn inward before going outward. Even if we just choose to stay at home, we may experience certain ‘ah-ha’ moments. The key to this day is to listen to our inner voice in order to fully comprehend the opportunities and the possibilities that lie ahead of us.
