The astrology for this week of October 16th through the 22nd of 2017 can have us contemplating how to find our center amidst the maze of unanticipated variables.
Life is not the way it was five years ago, ten years ago. We may not be fully cognizant of the components of the ‘new normal’, but we are likely aware that things have certainly changed. The shifting sands might not always be comfortable, but they do offer us a grand opportunity. Things nowadays can change in a nanosecond and the changes can be phenomenally dramatic. The main things during these times are not to get in our own way or try to have strict control over situations. These are times when we are being asked to be co-creators with the natural unfolding. Things may not occur in a sequential progression, and therein lies the magic and the mini-miracles of these times.
Welcome to the new paradigm.
This week begins with us a little woozy, especially if we don’t focus on the details or address the specifics. We could get lost in our imagination and by going there we could miss being able to expedite some of our projects, concentrate on our goals, and move forward our ambitions.
The early part of the week has Mercury exiting Libra to enter Scorpio to join Jupiter in the Fixed Water Sign. We can be astute and able to zero in on what is truly going on. We might not reveal everything that we’re thinking or seeing. We could be succinct and concise in our discussions, giving only tease lines or brief indications as to what is going on with us. In our thought processes, we could uncover interesting material. Our ability to investigate can be like pulling back the wizard of oz curtain to find the little guy pulling the strings. No one is liable to pull any wool over our eyes. We can see beyond the image and appearance to what is really going on.
Thursday has the Libra New Moon with its influence over the next two weeks. With an influence of Gemini and a strong impact from Uranus, the energy can ramp up with us involved with any number of things, all the while being attentive to the unexpected cropping up. Some of the unexpected may throw us for a loop, but dynamic is dynamic and can shake up our complacency and get us moving.
The end of the week and over the weekend would seem a good time for us to do an autumnal cleaning. Clearing things away and getting rid of our old stuff could clear some space for either the new and the different or release us from things that have only tied us down.
We end the weekend with us looking to spread our wings. The conditions are different though, for Mars is exiting Virgo to enter Libra and the Sun is finishing its transit of Libra to enter Scorpio late on Sunday or early Monday of next week. The times they are a’changing.
Monday, October 16th – Focusing Attention – Neptune, Pluto, Sun, Saturn. If our emotions don’t hold sway today, this Monday can be a highly productive time. We might feel a little dazed as we start the day, but that’s where planning can come to our rescue. The Virgo Moon today opposes Neptune and the Moon trines Pluto. The Sun sextiles Saturn. We can blend our practical sense with our intuitive abilities to develop a grand plan. Whether we are building castles in the air or dealing with our mundane affairs, our imagination can give us the foresight while our attention to detail can provide us the details to build a watertight template. It would be best if we can stay grounded and attend to what needs to get done. If we take the more practical approach, we can accomplish a great deal today and advance our great ambitions. Someone might entice us to expand our interests and that wouldn’t be a bad idea so long as we keep our feet on the ground.
Tuesday, October 17th – Jump Back, Jack – Saturn, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Mercury Scorpio. There are times when we try to move too fast, go too far. If we didn’t stay grounded yesterday but gave vent to a belief that nothing could go wrong, this Tuesday could start with us having to go back over situations we thought resolved but might have been glossed over. Tuesday begins with the Virgo Moon square Saturn and the Moon conjunct Mars. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for six hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Virgo and before the Moon enters Libra where today the Moon conjuncts Venus. Mercury exits Libra to enter Scorpio. Although we may have past issues to deal with as we start this day, we can be expeditious in doing so and could tie up loose ends. As the day progresses, we might enjoy the company of someone with whom we are simpatico. Pleasant times with someone often provide comfort and nurture and put a smile on our face. Our conversations can be concise, to the point and with greater depth than mere shallow discussions. This Tuesday can be a lovely day once we deal with what needs to get done and take the time to savor our relationships.
Wednesday, October 18th – A Different World – Pluto, Mercury, Jupiter. Wednesday continues with the Libra Moon with the Moon today square Pluto. We are on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s New Moon. Mercury conjuncts Jupiter. While we might prefer to contemplate the meaning of life, involve ourselves in soulful discussions and consider the deeper questions of living, it would be wise that we clear the decks and clean up our clutter. Tomorrow’s New Moon begins a new two-week cycle. This Wednesday is best served by completing outstanding issues before we launch initiations under the New Moon cycle. Demands may be pressing, and someone could read us the riot act if we don’t deal with our mundane matters. We could be banging up against obstacles, but let’s just do what needs to be done. We do need to watch our tongue. We could be fast and sharp with an incisive wit and are liable to cut someone to the quick. Let’s keep in mind that our words and actions can have long-lasting ramifications. It would be wise for us to tone down our intensity and avoid using zingers. None of us is perfect and what we put out is likely to come back to us — they call it karma.
Thursday, October 19th – Balancing In the Tsunamis – Saturn, Uranus, Libra New Moon, Sun, Moon Void-of-Course. Thursday has the Moon sextile Saturn and the Moon opposed Uranus with the Sun also opposed Uranus, all at the time of the Libra New Moon with the Moon conjunct the Sun. Right after the New Moon, the Moon then goes Void-of-Course for six and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio late in the day. With the Libra New Moon having a strong influence of Gemini as a result of the New Moon being in the third decanate, the Gemini decanate, of Libra, and with components of the New Moon opposing Uranus in Aries, this Thursday kicks off a two-week period of many varied activities with different unexpected curveballs thrown into the mix. There can be a stabilizing factor if we are willing to draw upon experience and our developed expertise to navigate the uncharted course of these next two weeks. But we are likely to be entering into unexpected circumstances. We may take into account any number of new interests. While variety is the spice of life, it would be wise for us to use our astute intellect to zero in on the substance of each particular activity or situation. We may be picking up the pace over these next two weeks and it will be important that we are adaptable to changing circumstance and willing to surf the waves of unexpected conditions. We can be entering a highly active two weeks, and we just need to avoid being overwhelmed by all of what is going on.
Friday, October 20th – Getting a Handle on It – Jupiter, Mercury, Neptune. The Scorpio Moon today conjuncts both Jupiter and Mercury, and the Moon trines Neptune. Despite or in response to the static of conflicting information, misinformation and outright lies that we are subjected to on a daily basis, we may have developed an intrinsic, intuitive sense of being able to cut through all the bullshit. If we don’t get triggered by immediate reactions to what is said or by what ‘appears’ to be going on but instead take the time to step back, take an objective view and draw upon our inner knowing, we can see through the fog as to what is truly going on. Whether we have consciously developed our ability to look beyond the appearance to the true reality of our situation or our ability has been honed by osmosis to the collective development, few of us are liable to play the fool and buy into the pap being presented to us by the powers-that-be. This is a day when we can be keenly aware. We might not reveal everything of which we are cognizant, but there’s no fooling us today. With a laser-like focus and an attuned intuitive sense, we may cut to the core and well know what is truly going on. This Friday is a good day to plan and to strategize. We can clear away the debris and the extraneous and focus on the substantive and essential.
Saturday, October 21st – Clearing Away, Cleaning Out – Pluto. Saturday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today sextile Pluto. Yesterday gave us the wherewithal to strategize how best to release us from the extraneous and superfluous. Whether we implemented our plans to get rid of stuff or not, this Saturday provides the impetus to put our plans into action. Saturday is a good time for an autumnal clean up and clear out. We are more interested in the meaningful and those activities and projects that have significant purpose for us. We might find ourselves doing dump runs, going through our closets and getting rid of stuff. Some alone time to consider what we want to concentrate on in the days ahead would allow us to prioritize our activities and those projects that might be only in the conceptual stage that we wish to bring into reality. This is a day when we can get lean and mean, focus on core issues and emphasize our goals. Whatever we choose to do today, we are likely to be determined and forceful without allowing anything to get in our way.
Sunday, October 22nd – New Worlds Awaiting – Mars, Mars Libra. Sunday begins the day with the Scorpio Moon sextile Mars, but very quickly on this Sunday the Moon exits Scorpio to enter Sagittarius. Mars exits Virgo to enter Libra today. The past two days may have been rather intense with us pushing forward and brooking no interference to our intentions. We may start this Sunday in a similar vein, but very quickly the day’s energy shifts. If we have matters to tie up, we’re likely to do so early in the day. For much of this day may have us spreading our wings, traveling out of town and feeling more upbeat and less introverted than the past two days. To draw an analogy, Friday and Saturday could have had us like a horse with blinders on, looking straight ahead, not being distracted by anything on the periphery. Sunday we may be far more open to broadening our reach and expanding our realm. Getting together with friends and enjoying social occasions can be a nice reprieve from our more intense, likely singularly focused past two days. This Sunday is a day for us to lighten up and air out.
