The astrology for this week of September 4th through the 10th provides us with some powerful ‘hits’, and this week is not a week to be only cooling our jets by the seashore.
We start the week in the US with the last day of the long Labor Day holiday weekend, the weekend considered to be the unofficial end to summer. We may want our summertime to go out with a blast, and we might choose to spend some quality time with those special people in our lives.
If we are traveling early in the week from our Labor Day or summer holiday festivities, it would be wise for us to add on extra time and to have contingency plans just in case anything goes awry.
Tuesday has Mercury ending its three-week retrograde cycle. Mercury is turning direct on the Solar Eclipse point of August 21st. With Mercury’s shift in energy ratcheting up the liability of things becoming convoluted, we could be exposed to miscommunications, misunderstandings, travel delays and traffic problems. Patience is called for with an appreciation that we are being asked to find our voice and express our creative talents. Even if we have felt dampened by delays and frustrations, influenced by the craziness occurring in the world-at-large, we are being prodded to engage our talents and embrace ourselves as being the master artists in the art of the quality in our living.
This early part of the week also has Mars exiting Leo to enter Virgo and in so doing bringing an end to the Stellium and powerpack of Leo. Whether we are back on track of our everyday experiences or still lulling about in the ‘summer’ sun, the energy is shifting from playtimes to worktimes.
Mid-week has the Pisces Full Moon accentuating the Neptune influence. This mid-week period does not augur well for Hurricane Irma swirling in the Atlantic. Its strength and intensity can ratchet up dramatically.
Even if we question whether we have the ability or tenacity to step forward into new trajectories, it would be wise for us to keep in mind that every journey begins with a first step. We might feel tentative in moving ahead, but let’s remember that we are in a paradigm shift, a major mind shift from the assumption that we are totally in control of our life’s situations [as if we ever truly were!] into the acceptance of magic and mini-miracles associated with asequentlal reality, a reality where we do not make things happen but rather find ourselves often in the right place at the right time with the universe unfolding the way it will.
We could go through some wild mood swings during this mid-week, at times feeling sorry for ourselves or playing the victim role. Other times we might be willing to take machete in hand and carve our own path with little regard for the consequences.
The end of the week and the weekend can instill a greater drive for us to get things done. The weekend seems geared to putting our plans into action. Mercury exits Leo to come back into its own Sign of Virgo and in so doing creates a Stellium in the Mutable Earth Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Mars in Virgo.
We are shifting from summer fun activities into the return to our everyday experiences.
Monday, September 4th – Hail, Hail, the Gang’s All Here – Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Mercury. Monday is Labor Day in the US, the last day of the long holiday weekend that is often considered the unofficial end to summer. Starting tomorrow, we might engage or more fully participate in our usual everyday activities. But today is a day for us let the summer go out with great gusto. The Aquarius Moon today sextiles Saturn, the Moon trines Jupiter, the Moon sextiles Uranus and the Moon opposes Mercury. We could find ourselves reconnecting with past friends or making new acquaintances. Some of our activities may feel like social obligations but can still be good fun. There could be a lot of talk, conversations being more chatter than in-depth discussions, but we might enjoy this last fling of summertime and not really care about much other than having some down time and being able to laze the day away. As the day progresses, we might feel more like doing our own thing, exploring new terrain. Our adventurous side could come a little late on this Monday, and we may resent our situation if we have allowed the day to fritter away. Late in the day, travel can get mired down in traffic delays or wrong turns. Let’s add on extra time if we are traveling and have contingency plans in mind if anything goes awry.
Tuesday, September 5th – Back on the Chain Gang – Mars, Sun, Neptune, Mercury direct, Mars Virgo. There’s no pretending about this Tuesday. We might feel as though circumstance is dictating our life and that we need to get back on the chain gang of our everyday life. This Tuesday begins with the Aquarius Moon opposed Mars in the early morning hours, just before Mars exits Leo to enter Virgo and before the Moon exits Aquarius to enter Pisces. Mars exiting Leo ends the Leo Stellium or powerpack. Summer certainly feels like it’s ending whether we are getting back on track or counting the days before we return to our usual life activities. The Sun opposes Neptune, and Mercury ends its three-week retrograde cycle and turns direct. We could question what we are doing, why we are doing, but also find ourselves in a world of confusion. Various questions can filter through our mind today but with little clarity in regard to the answers to the questions and even less clarity about who we are and what our life’s path is all about. Tuesday can be one confusing day with our emotions heightened, our moods going through wild swings. This is a day for us to suspend judgment and take things with extra care.
Wednesday, September 6th – Room Full of Mirrors – Neptune, Lunar T-Square, Pisces Full Moon, Sun, Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. Tuesday and Wednesday can have our emotions ratcheted up but with us feeling totally confused and at the vagaries of life’s conditions. We might find ourselves in a reactive mode rather than taking a proactive stance. We could feel as though life is happening at us. The Neptune – Pisces energy is heightened on Tuesday and especially on this Wednesday when we have the Pisces Full Moon and the Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon conjunct Neptune, the Moon opposed the Sun and the Moon square Saturn. Those of us along the east coast of the US and especially south Florida need to keep a watchful eye on Hurricane Irma which could intensify significantly on Tuesday and Wednesday under the strong Piscean influence and the Pisces Full Moon. We also need to keep in mind that Mercury has just turned direct yesterday with the liability of not yet getting our rhythm or pace in right stride. The saving grace to the day is the Moon sextile Pluto. While we can be highly sensitive and reactive today, the more we can pierce the illusions and prioritize our activities, the less likely we are to be led by our emotions or by the hucksters presenting one thing when the reality is something else. What we see on Tuesday and Wednesday might not be what we get. Both days demand our ability to use laser-like focus to cut through the fog and to distill clarity from confusion. If we can draw upon our intuitive sense and focus with laser-like vision, then we could see what is really going on and prevent various mishaps. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for fifteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries tomorrow.
Thursday, September 7th – In Stillness, Clarity and Determination. Tuesday and Wednesday might have been highly emotional and moody days with a great deal of confusion and a more reactive tendency than a proactive approach. Thursday has the Moon moving into Aries, but the Moon today makes no aspects to the planets. This Thursday could be a day of personal regrouping, giving us the time and space to get back into our own bodies. We might have felt that we weathered the storm-tossed seas over the past two days. This Thursday allows us to recalculate our direction and recognize that we have choice in all matters and are not merely victims of circumstance. Too often people play the victim card, blaming this, that and the other for some of the obstacles in the way. While this paradigm shift does speak to a change from our being the sole controlling factor into our being co-creator with the universe unfolding, we don’t have to fall into either a totally reactive mode or a totally proactive characteristic. During the whipsaws of these times, it is essential that we learn to walk the balance beam, to engage the ‘middle way’ as the Buddhist teachings suggest to us. After a whirlwind past two days, Thursday is a day for us to take for our self, to not feel compelled to push the envelope but rather to consider what, where and why we want to do next.
Friday, September 8th – Victim No More, Super Being Sprung – Pluto, Lunar Grand Trine, Venus, Saturn. Although it is suggested to find balance and maintain equilibrium in our life, often our life’s unfolding is like a metronome, swinging between extremes, and often extremes of great activity and other times of quiet passivity. The key is to find balance in our life. After a mid-week that may have had us caroming between pillar and post, yesterday might have given us a time to catch our breath and gain a second wind. Friday could be a powerful day when we can push forward with what we want to do. We might even be a law unto ourselves, but if we go that route, we are likely to do so in a measured and tempered manner to advance our goals. Friday has the Aries Moon triggering the Fire Grand Trine with the Moon trine Venus in Leo and the Moon trine Saturn in Sagittarius. The one catch to this Friday is the Moon square Pluto. We could face some obstacles in our way, chose to skirt the issues and do things the way we want to do them. It would be wise not to cut corners, since any end runs could wind up flying back into our face down the road. Let’s do what we want and feel we need to do but without stepping out of bounds of standards or regulations.
Saturday, September 9th – Serious About Our Goals – Jupiter, Uranus, Mercury, Mars, Sun, Pluto, Mercury Virgo. With the thrust of energy we might have started to feel on Thursday and certainly stirred up yesterday, this Saturday is a day when we could virtually move mountains. The day begins with the Aries Moon opposed Jupiter, the Moon conjunct Uranus and the Moon trine Mercury, just prior to the Moon moving into Taurus and later in the day Mercury moving into Virgo. We are unlikely to brook opposition to our plans or what we want to do. We might even do some toe stomping if anyone tries to naysay our intentions. We have a head of steam, are energized, and ready to take on the world. Not only do we have the determination, we are also likely to move our interests ahead by prioritizing our goals, strategizing our means and focusing on achieving results. As the day progresses, the Fire energy shifts to a greater Earth energy with all three of the Earth Signs involved. The Taurus Moon trines Mars in Virgo, and the Sun in Virgo trines Pluto in Capricorn. As Mercury exits Leo to enter its own Sign of Virgo, it triggers a Virgo Stellium or powerpack as Mercury joins both the Sun and Mars in the Mutable Earth Sign. This Saturday and Sunday can be days when we have nose to the grindstone, persistent passion and like a bulldozer moving solidly and forcibly ahead. There may be no stopping us now.
Sunday, September 10th – Highly Effective Without Stress or Strain – Neptune, Earth Grand Trine, Pluto, Sun, Venus, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday continues with the earthy energy of Saturday. The Taurus Moon sextiles Neptune and the Moon later triggers an Earth Grand Trine as the Taurus Moon trines Pluto in Capricorn and the Moon trines the Sun in Virgo. We end the day with the Moon square Venus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for eighteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini later on Monday. If we would plan out our activities for this day, then we can draw upon our intuitive sense, figure out a best practices approach to what we want to get done and virtually move mountains. Our moving mountains could be with a winch, relatively effortless, rather than the stress and strain of brawn over brain. This Saturday and Sunday provides the energy to get a great deal done, so let’s not waste the opportunities to do what we need to do. We might far prefer to have a good time, but days like these seldom come along to be highly effective and productive in an expeditious and streamlined manner.
