The astrology for this week of September 25th through October 1st is spicy and dicey as we enter the first full week of autumn, the last week of September and we get our toehold into October.
The week may begin with us largely out of sorts. We might feel trapped in a matrix of our doing, our own undoing, and the expectations of whom we have been in the past. We would prefer to call out the inspiring words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in his 1963 ‘I Have a Dream’ speech concluding with: “Free at last, Free at last, Thank God almighty we are free at last.”
While we could feel imposed upon as we start the week by our responsibilities and obligations unresolved, let’s attend to what needs to be done without being sidetracked by distractions or our resentments. Grousing about limitations serves no purpose except to bum us out and to delay completion of demanding tasks.
If we take care of business at the beginning of the week, there could be some interesting and unexpected situations that might arise for us to pursue during the middle of the week.
We do have to be wary of combustible situations around Thursday when Pluto turns direct. Whenever Pluto turns direction, there is a liability to booms and blasts, like a volcano releasing its pent-up energy. People can be acting out, atmospheric and geophysical systems can be explosive, and it would be wise to handle every situation with kid gloves.
There could be some miscues as we end the week, but the weekend provides a pleasant respite and the opportunity of getting a second wind. We might face some headwinds at the start of this week but we could have the wind to our back to end the weekend.
Monday, September 25th – Gripe and Grouse – Sun, Venus, Mercury, Saturn. The week begins with the Moon entering Sagittarius where today the Moon sextiles the Sun and the Moon squares Venus. Mercury squares Saturn. We might feel as though our wings are being clipped as we start this week. While we can awaken with a spring in our step and feeling upbeat about things, news we hear may dampen our spirits and steer our trajectory off course from what we had scheduled for the day into dealing with pressing matters and old issues. Let’s not put on blinders and focus solely on the problems we might have to address. If we go into worry and anxiety, we could dig ourselves a big hole of concern, assume that we don’t have the wherewithal to successfully resolve situations and get down on ourselves. Going negative and pessimistic can have us griping and grousing today and tomorrow. We may have a liability at looking at the half glass of water as half empty and draining today rather than half full. Should anyone try to pull us out of our pity party, we could read them the riot act. This is a day for us not to lose sight of the big picture, recognize that things aren’t going to always be upbeat and inspiring, and to be certain that we cut ourselves and others a great deal of slack today.
Tuesday, September 26th – And So It Goes – Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Mars, Saturn. Tuesday continues with an Eeyore attitude with which we might have started the week. We continue with a dampening quality as the Sagittarius Moon today triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Neptune in Pisces, the Moon squares Mars in Virgo and the Moon conjuncts Saturn. While it is preferable to wear rose-colored glasses and see everything as light and fun, today we might continue to wear dark glasses and see everything in darkness. Okay, I understand people are anxious during these dramatically changing times. We have natural disasters, man-made cataclysms and fear ratcheted up severalfold. While we might not appreciate the changes going on, it would be suggested that we keep in mind that amidst all the turbulence and turmoil lies an opportunity — the dynamic of shifting sands allowing us to make radical changes in our own lives. We do not have to play victim or feel merely reactive to the vagaries of circumstance. On the contrary, we can use the dynamic energy to transform quickly, accelerate our process and embrace what the indigenous peoples would refer to as shapeshifting. Therein lies the possibility, the opportunity but also the challenge. Most people may gravitate to the Eeyore quality. This day can have us coming and going, if we do not plan our day and schedule our itinerary. If we are not overwhelmed by the energy but take reins in hand, then we can accomplish a great deal and not allow things to fall between the cracks. As we come towards the end of the day, we might be physically exhausted and emotionally spent. Rest up, for there are better days ahead.
Wednesday, September 27th – Getting Our Groove Back – Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun. Every now and then we may need a ‘mental health’ day, and this Wednesday could be one of those days. The day begins with the Sagittarius Moon square Mercury, the Moon sextile Jupiter and the Moon trine Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost five and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn where late in the day the Capricorn Moon squares the Libra Sun. We might have certain tasks we are supposed to do on this Wednesday, but there’s a good chance we blow them off in order to engage someone else’s suggestions and do our own thing. After two days that could have had us running around and often even banging our head against the wall, this Wednesday is a day when we want to control our time and determine our involvements. Our wings may have been clipped Monday and Tuesday, but today we are likely to be flying free and not accepting of any restrictions to our choices. Despite what might have occurred over the past two days, this Wednesday has us getting our groove back.
Thursday, September 28th – Boom, Bang, Crash – Venus, Neptune, Mars, Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto direct. Thursday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today trine Venus, the Moon sextile Neptune, the Moon trine Mars and the Moon conjunct Pluto, which has just turned direct today. Jupiter opposes Uranus. Fortunately, we can maintain a certain groundedness today, thanks to the Capricorn Moon aspects. The liability of excess cannot be discounted with certain things being just too hot to handle. Someone could encourage us to try something new, to do things differently or to stretch beyond reasonable limits. Moderation in all things today is called for. The Pluto turning direct can be explosive. There could be bomb blasts, geophysical explosions and intense atmospheric storm systems. The more we can move forward cautiously, as if walking on eggshells, the less likely we are to step on a landmine, whether that landmine be physical acting out or an emotional wipeout. Let’s keep our eyes and ears wide open, adapt and adjust to any changing circumstance, and do the tai chi moves of working with the energy rather than trying to control or be overwhelmed by today’s energy.
Friday, September 29th – Doing This, That & the Other – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Jupiter, Venus, Neptune, Mercury Libra. Friday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Uranus in Aries, and the Moon squares Jupiter in Libra. Venus opposes Neptune and Mercury exits its own Sign of Virgo to enter Libra. The Mercury Sign shift also ends the Stellium in Virgo and creates a Stellium in Libra as Mercury joins the Sun and Jupiter in the Cardinal Air Sign. The energy configurations occur later in the day. The earlier part of the day can be used to deal with any matters that we wish to complete prior to our weekend. Addressing details and particulars could help us tie up loose ends, clear the decks and bring closure to various situations. The late day energies may have us socializing and engaged with other people. There might be a great deal of movement as someone suggests an event or activity we had not planned for. Let’s be aware of with whom we do the dance. We could be infatuated with someone who has a seductive mystique about them, but someone who might not be all that they appear to be. This is a day for us to be judicious about what we say and to whom we say it. Our interest in our relationships grows stronger. We just have to be certain that the people we are dealing with have our best interests at heart and are not acting from envy or jealousy of what we have. This is a day for us to heed my admonition to ‘check the source and check their agenda’.
Saturday, September 30th – At One With Another – Mercury, Sun. Friday evening at sunset begins the high holy day of Yom Kippur in the Jewish faith. Up to sunset of this Saturday is the day of atonement, cleansing oneself of the sins committed during the past year. While there is repentance for misdeeds done, there is also the sense of at onement, of being connected to the primal and pristine of universe workings. For those of us not of the Jewish faith, this Saturday allows for an at onement with our future purpose and a strong connection with the significant person, or people, in our life. This Saturday has the Aquarius Moon trine Mercury and trine the Sun, both in Libra. This may be a highly enjoyable day of getting together with friends and family. Discussions can be upbeat with people being more receptive listeners and interested in what is going on with the other person. We might be talking about future plans, eliciting suggestions and evaluations of our intentions, all with the appreciation that each concept has some form of possibility. Doing something other than the usual today may put a smile on our face and reenergize us. Routine performances become dull, even listless, and this Saturday is a day when we could shake things up, do something different, and embrace greater spontaneity. Whatever our plans for this day might be, I suggest we be open to the magic of these times and see what may arise out of the blue. Being at onement embraces the universe unfolding and recognize the truth to the saying that ‘god has far greater plans for us than what we could conceive for ourselves’.
Sunday, October 1st – New Beginnings – Saturn, Mars, Pluto. The Moon continues its transit through Aquarius today, and in the evening hours the Moon sextiles Saturn. Also late in the day but influencing recent days and forthcoming days, Mars trines Pluto. This weekend can be a fun one and one geared for being impulsive and spontaneous and being open to do whatever catches our fancy. Our inquisitive nature is engaged. If we utilize this weekend to recharge our batteries and reenergize ourselves, we may find that we have gained a second wind and ready to take on the world or, at least, our section of the world. After a fun-filled weekend, the evening hours provide us the impetus to virtually move mountains. It would be suggested that we use the evening to strategize, line up our ducks in a row, and be ready for a sprint as we begin the week. This is not a time to second guess ourselves, but rather a time for us to strategically plan our moves with a willingness to go full throttle as we implement our future goals. A trusted confidante could offer a wise critique to our intentions and may have valuable suggestions regarding the template we will utilize to successfully achieve results. The week may have started with us feeling slightly down, but the end of the week pumps us up and gives us a sense of invincibility.
