June 19th – 25th, 2017

The astrology for this week of June 19th through the 25th can have us in an upbeat, fun-loving mood. This is the week that the Spring season swings into Summer with its promise of holidays, staycations and taking times to step off the track of our usual routines.

The week begins with us considering plans and new directions, all with the recognition that things can change in a nanosecond. Early in the week, we can tie up loose ends and get things out of the way as we prepare for new adventures and the embrace of hot times in the summertime.

Our communications can be insightful and our appearance most intriguing. Not only can we present ourselves with a certain style and mystique. We also have the ability of expressing innovative concepts in an appealing and alluring manner. We may feel at the top of our game in the early part of this week.

The mid-week period has us coming into Summer at the Summer Solstice, the time when the daylight is at its brightest and longest in the northern latitudes.

After a thrust of energy to bring closure to the Spring season, we might be slow starting in this mid-week period as we come into Summer. Our thoughts may revolve around home and family matters. Despite our insistence earlier in the week to spread our wings and plan for great explorations, the mid-week period could have us falling back into the sanctity and security of the familiar. Our intrepid adventurer intentions could drop away to the comforts of home.

The latter part of the week could have us juggling any number of things, some of which may be silly distractions or needless diversions.

The weekend is highlighted by the Cancer New Moon. There may be family gatherings over the weekend and even cleanups around the home environment. Fixing things up from repairs to personal makeovers can be part of our weekend involvements. We just have to watch for taking on too much. Prioritizing our activities would focus from the most significant intentions to the insignificant and could keep us from running ragged as we come to end the weekend.

Monday, June 19th – All Together Now – Saturn, Mercury, Uranus, Sun. The week begins with us acting like a shot out of the cannon. The Aries Moon trines Saturn, the Moon sextiles Venus, the Moon conjuncts Uranus and the Moon sextiles the Sun. The Moon moves into Taurus later in the day. Much of the energy is likely to occur early in the day. We might want to deal with outstanding matters, routine affairs and our usual daily tasks as we start the day. The more we can get done early on, the more time we shall have to explore new interests, do things spontaneously and feel as though we are free as a bird. Unexpected situations could open up some interesting doors, and whether we have accomplished our scheduled activities or not, we are likely to engage whatever catches our fancy as surprising opportunities come our way. Monday and Tuesday are two high energy, fun-loving days to wrap up the Spring season. We may be feeling upbeat and excited about promising possibilities.

Tuesday, June 20th – Looking Good with the Gift of Gab – Mars, Neptune, Venus, Mercury, Uranus. This Tuesday can be a day when we can be well put together looking fabulous and our conversations may be enlightening and captivating. The Taurus Moon sextiles Mars, the Moon sextiles Neptune, and the Moon conjuncts Venus. Venus sextiles Neptune, and Mercury sextiles Uranus. This is a day when things can go our way. While our relationships can be close to idyllic today, we could also experience some surprising news. While unexpected situations that put a smile on our face can arise, we’re not looking at rushing the river. We seem well grounded, willing to take things step by step and show ourselves off with style and mystique. If we want to make a case for something, today is a perfect day to do it. Our facts and figures may seem to come out of nowhere as if we have a channel to a higher intelligence. Tuesday is a great day for us to move things forward without stepping on toes but rather basking in the acclaim of ardent supporters.

Wednesday, June 21st – Here Comes Summer – Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun Cancer, Mercury Cancer, Sun conjunct Mercury. Wednesday is the first day of Summer. With today’s Summer Solstice, the Sun enters Cancer at the brightest and longest daylight of the year in the northern latitudes. Mercury enters Cancer and the Sun conjuncts Mercury. We now have a Stellium of three planets in Cancer as the Sun and Mercury join Mars in the Cardinal Water Sign. The Taurus Moon trines Pluto before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for close to eighteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini later in the day. We can be adept at putting all the right touches on things today and especially in regard to home and family matters. We may be looking at sprucing things up, feathering our nest with purchases for our summer activities and seeking to relax during the old ‘lazy, hazy days of summer’.

Thursday, June 22nd – Back At It – Jupiter, Neptune. Although we often think of summer as a time to slow things down and take things easy, such a rendition is more akin to a Norman Rockwell painting of traditional summer doings than the reality in today’s fast-paced world. This Thursday has the Gemini Moon trine Jupiter and the Moon square Neptune. At the insistence of someone, we could make plans that might seem just a little too much on our plate. While we may feel up to a hundred and one activities on this Thursday, it would be wise for us to prioritize and concentrate on the most meaningful activities first. If we don’t plan out our day, we might find ourselves trying to do so much that we wind up in overwhelm and running around in circles without accomplishing much. We may be feeling upbeat, optimistic and confident today, but we have to be wary that we’re not fooling ourselves by our exuberance and boundless enthusiasm. Maintaining a grip on reality and on our capabilities would help us avoid going too far out on a limb and trying to do much, more and everything.

Friday, June 23rd – At Home – Saturn, Uranus, Cancer New Moon, Sun. Friday begins the day with the Gemini Moon opposed Saturn. Later in the day, the Gemini Moon sextiles Uranus. The Moon then moves into Cancer where in the late day hours the Moon conjuncts the Sun at the time of the Cancer New Moon. We may start the day exhausted or trying to figure out what we’ve done and where we have gotten. Late Thursday, early Friday has the Gemini Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square as the Moon squared Neptune yesterday and the Moon opposes Saturn as we start this Friday. If we feel off the track into a maze of confusion, we might find this early Friday demands that we straighten out things and tie up loose ends. We are also in the first Friday of the summer and if we are dealing with our usual schedule we might want to address outstanding matters in order to start our weekend early. We do not want to be hampered by our obligations over the weekend. The more we can clear the deck of pressing demands, the more we can use the weekend to enjoy our summertime activities and engage a blank slate of possibilities and spontaneous engagements. Perhaps more so than other seasons, the summer season especially seems to be a time when we’re looking to be ‘living for the weekend’. Late in the day, the Moon enters its own Sign of Cancer and conjuncts the Sun at the time of the Cancer New Moon. A New Moon puts its imprint on the following two weeks up to the Full Moon, and this New Moon emphasizes home and family matters of Cancer but with the variety of Gemini’s influence. Our emotions can be heightened with possible mood swings today and over the next two weeks.

Saturday, June 24th – No Rest on the Weekend – Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, Neptune, Venus. Saturday could be one highly active day. The Cancer Moon triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon conjunct both Mercury and Mars, the Moon square Jupiter and the Moon opposed Pluto. The Moon trines Neptune, and Venus trines Pluto. We can be highly active on this Saturday. We might pass it off as the first weekend of the Summer, but this Saturday can have us starting this, beginning that, all as we are pulled in any number of directions both by our own desires and by the insistence of someone. We could be all over the place on this Saturday, and it would be wise for us to consider those engagements that serve us best, the best on this day being pleasurable activities we want to engage and involvements that better our long-term ambitions. We may have choices as to with whom we spend our time today. Let’s participate with those people that can enhance us, make us feel good about ourselves and not allow our compassion or any caretaking tendencies to get us mired in someone’s emotional dramas. There could be some interesting social interactions that might seem largely for our enjoyment but also might serve us well in the future. We are not looking for the superficial or shallow today. We are more interested in going for the gold and getting to the essence of our personal connections.

Sunday, June 25th – Testing the Waters – Venus, Uranus, Mars, Jupiter. Sunday has the Cancer Moon sextile Venus and the Moon square Uranus. Later in the day, the Moon exits Cancer to enter Leo. Mars squares Jupiter. Often we try to accommodate other people’s needs or whims. Compromise, whether consciously or out of exasperation, is sometimes the way with our personal engagements. Sunday could test the waters as to how much we are willing to do to garner the favor of someone without capitulating to their choices. There are times when we give so much of ourselves that the balance between give and take in our relationships is lost. Although we have grown, changed and transformed over the recent months and years, some people will still see us based upon their definition of who we have been, based upon their past experiences with us. It is hard to fully accept the changes in someone, for it demands that we alter our definition of who they are. We could easily feel blocked on this Sunday, feeling our wings clipped, due to someone’s expectations of us, expectations that no longer fit us and expectations that could feel like a straight jacket. While we might encounter someone’s plans for us today, let’s not feel that we have to straighten them out. It might be like spitting into the wind. We can avoid giving in to someone’s plans for us and prepare for an evening of fun activities when we can assert our own wishes and our own desires. We may not be islands unto ourselves, but we also don’t have to be restricted by the standards and mores of someone that would be limiting to our continual growth and development. We can be testing the waters of presenting ourselves in a new light today, but we don’t need the acceptance or approval of someone for us to fully engage and express our changes.
