The astrology for this week of May 15th through the 21st allows us to organize and put things in place before we ramp up the energy and find ourselves going here, there and everywhere with us trying this, that and the other.
We start the week focused on what needs to be done. We are likely to be attending to our responsibilities with our goals in mind, no matter if someone wants to engage us in something totally different. If we concentrate on our responsibilities, we can accomplish a lot and not be diverted from what needs to get done.
We might prefer doing whatever captures our fancy with the justification that it’s springtime with all of us enjoying [suffering?] ‘Spring fever’. But nose to grindstone now will pay dividends later on.
The mid-part of the week can have us considering our future intentions, making plans for get-togethers but with a tendency to have one foot in taking care of business and the other foot in lofty future possibilities.
The end of the week can have us mulling things over and taking into account the suspension bridge between our past experience and our future intentions.
We end the week and over the weekend in social gatherings, getting together with friends and other people for good times and for celebrations. We may have a lot going on over the weekend, but we are also increasing our energy level and are up for the kaleidoscope of different events available to us. It’s springtime and time to spread our wings.
Monday, May 15th – Taking Care of Business – Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto. Monday starts off with us in a business as usual attitude. We can schedule our day with the best of intentions, but someone might intrude upon our best-laid plans. Monday has the Capricorn Moon sextile Neptune, the Moon square Jupiter and the Moon conjunct Pluto. If we would avoid being distracted by someone else’s input, we could prioritize our activities and get a great deal done today. We have the foresight to see the big picture and the ability to cut to the core. Although we may be feeling highly proficient today, we might also get involved in someone’s issues and turn our attention away from our own things to take care of someone else’s needs. Let’s be certain that we are not becoming co-dependent, whereby our involvements are being molded by someone other than ourself. This may be a highly productive day if we put on blinders, deal with our own matters and concentrate on expediting our process. We can neatly fit the particulars into the big picture today, and we really don’t need someone critiquing how we are doing. We’re likely to be doing just fine.
Tuesday, May 16th – I Wish I Could – Sun, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Mercury Taurus. Tuesday is one of those days when we need to avoid being our own worst enemy. The day begins with the Capricorn Moon trine the Sun and the Moon square Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for almost seven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius today where the Moon squares Mercury, which earlier today had Mercury exiting Aries to enter Taurus. As we begin this Tuesday, we might assume that we have everything lined up, our strategy well devised, and with us fully ready to initiate our actions. Where a problem arises is that there are times when making the effort, deciding to incorporate changes and engaging a willingness to step out of our comfort zone are blocked by our own fear of change. Change can be seen as easily implemented in concept but the actual implementation often seems rampant with unexpected variables and unanticipated challenges. The ‘what if?’ often blocks us from making radical changes and keeps us frozen, often in a catatonic state. And so it might be on this Tuesday. Although we might want to start new directions, we could also question whether we have the talent and capability to do so. Even if we accept that we have the capability, our justification for non-change could be the question as to whether we have the resources to pull things off. Let’s not stay frozen in our present circumstances if we truly wish to make changes. Keep in mind that the beginning of any journey begins with a first step. We can take that step and proceed ahead or, if we find our first step to be too much, we can always turn back. But being stuck can be a deadening process, so we might want to put our toes in the water today without diving into the deep end to test whether we have the conditions and the ability to move deeper into new involvements.
Wednesday, May 17th – Everything Is Beautiful – Venus, Jupiter. Wednesday and Thursday could prove to be the best days of this week. It might seem as though everything is falling into place for us. Today, the Aquarius Moon sextiles Venus and the Moon trines Jupiter. We are likely feeling good about our prospects and we might gain validation from a person we trust and whose insights we respect. Conversations can be a good give and take with us expressing what’s going on for us and other people sharing what’s going on for them. This is a day when people are more likely to be receptive listeners. No one is trying to force their opinions on someone else, but rather there is an appreciation of the individual characteristics that make each person different, even if some of those characteristics are quirky and even rub us the wrong way. This is a day to embrace the glory of living — the connections we have with those special people in our lives and the beauty of nature that we see in the blossoming and the renewal of life after the bare bones of winter.
Thursday, May 18th – Building a Bridge to the Future – Mars, Uranus, Saturn, Sun. Thursday continues with the ability of putting things together, developing a good template for our future and utilizing past experience and innovative techniques to devise a streamlined best practices approach. The Moon continues its transit of Aquarius with the Moon today trine Mars, the Moon sextile Uranus, the Moon sextile Saturn and the Moon square the Sun before the Moon ends its transit of Aquarius to enter Pisces late in the day. We may consider many options, but we are not thinking about leaping into a void. Even if we are considering new trajectories for ourself, we are not choosing to go blindly into the night. We can draw upon our developed expertise and the wisdom of our experience to give thought to new trajectories that would impassion us and reflect our desire for greater autonomy. We might feel hampered by our resources — whether time, energy or finances — but it would be wise to keep in mind that intention is the starting point of any successful project and the old but wise saying that ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’. We should avoid limiting ourselves from moving in new directions that truly speak to us and be aware that if things don’t work out we can always turn back from them and start something else.
Friday, May 19th – All Together But How Much – Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Venus, Jupiter. Friday has the Moon in Pisces with the Moon today sextile Mercury. Saturn trines Uranus and Venus opposes Jupiter. Much of today’s energy seems focused on the morning hours. Continuing on the energies of the past two days, we can pull things together in a very intriguing manner. Drawing upon our intuitive sense, we can figure the right format and the right presentation to present a winning case. Not only do we have the foresight of our plans. We are unlikely to let anything fall between the cracks. With the big picture in mind, we can fine tune the small picture of all the relevant particulars and details that make up our big picture, the ingredients of the whole. Feeling compassionate and also highly effective, we could find ourselves getting involved in other people’s situations. If we go there, it’s important for us to realize that not only are we taking ourselves away from our own matters but that we could get embroiled in other people’s agendas. It would be wise for us to appreciate the fact that some people are so attached to their drama that they cannot let go and resolve their issues. This may be one of those Fridays when we close things out early in order to start our weekend early.
Saturday, May 20th – Picking Up the Pace – Pluto, Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Mars, Saturn, Sun Gemini. Today’s Moon in Pisces triggers a Lunar T-Square with the Moon conjunct Neptune, the Moon square Mars in Gemini and the Moon square Saturn in Sagittarius. The Moon also sextiles Pluto and the Sun exits Taurus to enter Gemini. This is a day when it would be wise to prioritize our activities and plan our schedule. Otherwise, we could be all over the place. We may be on the go on this Saturday, and we could easily exhaust ourselves by trying to do just too much. It is far better for us to engage our time management skills, whereby we might have a lot going on but we are adept at not giving any one thing too much time. If we don’t take the time to plan out our day, figure out our direction with itinerary in hand, then we could be like a dog chasing its tale, just running around in circles. The more we can bring things to completion today, the better it would be. Concluding certain matters would clear our slate and allow tomorrow to be a day for new beginnings when the Moon enters Aries to begin the Moon’s entire new trip through the zodiac wheel.
Sunday, May 21st – Ready to Take on the World – Sun. Sunday has the Moon moving into Aries with the Moon sextile the Sun. We seem to have it together today. We may put on our explorer’s hat and launch into new trajectories. We are more concerned about initiations and investigations, being pioneers into new terrains, instead of staying on the ‘same old, same old’ route. We are not interested in maintenance or follow through today. We would far prefer to engage a variety of events and involvements. We might sample various things today, for we are more interested in the dabbling instead of staying with any one thing for too long. The energy of this day speaks to new beginnings but sampling today is far better than committing for the long term. We are still in the waning Moon, a time when it is far better for us to conclude matters and tie up loose ends. Major new launches might work better after the New Moon next Thursday when we enter the two-week period of a waxing Moon. We may be ready to take on the world, but let’s give thought to the myriad of possibilities without fully engaging any one thing. This Sunday is also the day when we come out of the ‘shadow’ of the Mercury retrograde with Mercury reaching the degree of the Sign where Mercury began its retrograde motion last month. We may be coming out of the woods, but it’s not quite the right time to begin our springtime sprint.
