The astrology for this week of March 27th through April 2nd indicates that we can be at the start of something BIG.
We start the week with the Aries New Moon, a power-packed day that begins an impactful two-week period. Although we came into Spring last Monday the 20th with the Vernal Equinox as the Sun moved into Aries, it is truly with the Aries New Moon that Spring has sprung. The New Moon on this Monday has five planets in Aries and Aries-ruling Mars transiting Taurus sextiles Neptune. We may feel divinely guided, willing to take things step by step, all the while champing at the bit to fast forward the process. This is a time when it is essential that we not get in our own way, for the natural unfolding may be far more effective and more successful than our impulsive actions.
The lesson for us in the early Spring period is the existential question of control or surrender. With the paradigm shift, neither extreme of control or surrender would be appropriate. During these times of shifting sands we are being asked to be co-creators with the natural unfolding. No longer can we assume control over circumstance, when in truth we have none. No longer can we surrender to the vagaries of conditions, for we are being called upon to work with the energies unfolding and not merely play victim to circumstance.
This week can have us wanting to force issues, make things happen, assert our dominance over our personal world. If we go there, we might find that not only are we being disappointed by the results. We could also discover that things could have worked out more readily and easily by being an active participant with the natural unfolding rather than us trying to be the manipulator.
Mid-week we have Mercury trine Saturn. Our mind is far more astute to reality and more adept at developing a template by which we can stay grounded and also develop some of our new interests. Our creative juices can be flowing at this time, and we can draw upon our expertise to provide the right frameworks for our intentions and our goals.
Thursday has Jupiter square Pluto. Someone could make us aware of flaws or faults within our plans. We might have to tweak our methods as a result of someone’s objective critique. It would be wise for us neither to personalize nor take offense to any suggestions. Even if the person is proving to be annoying or a know-it-all, we could garner some kernel of truth or an important understanding that can get us back on the right track.
March ends on Friday with Mercury exiting Aries to enter Taurus. Our thoughts can be less impulsive and more grounded with thoughts of how best to proceed in a practical manner.
We come into April on Saturday with a desire to explore and investigate creative outlets for ourselves. We may be far more interested in trying this and then trying that instead of making long-term, definitive commitments. Sampling possibilities seems a far wiser approach than diving fully into anything. We need to do our due diligence, and we need to be wary of presentations that could turn out to be too good to be true. Springtime infatuations might give greater credence to someone’s opinion rather than trusting our own.
Sunday ends the week with Venus retrograding out of Aries and back into Pisces. Our compassion can be ignited, and we have to be wary that we are not doing more for someone else and to the detriment of our own interests. Let’s look for and participate on a level playing field, whereby we involve ourselves in win-win situations and not solely benefit someone else.
If we can maintain a balancing act where we are advancing our own interests without stepping on anyone’s toes and we are bringing people along as we advance our goals, we could find ourselves virtually moving mountains during this week. This week is a time to work smarter rather than harder.
Monday, March 27th – And so It Begins – Saturn, Venus, Sun, Mars, Neptune. Monday starts the week with the Pisces Moon square Saturn. The Moon then moves into Aries, where today the Moon conjuncts Venus, and late in the day we have the Aries New Moon with the Moon conjunct the Sun. Mars sextiles Neptune. The day may begin with us feeling under the gun of our responsibilities, slightly overwhelmed and questioning whether we have the capabilities to successfully complete what we need to get done. Our heart may not be in some of our morning tasks, but it would be best for us to get things out of the way in order to take advantage of the New Moon with its starting signal for the fortnight ahead. This is the Aries New Moon, the first New Moon since the beginning of Spring, and truly does initiate the Spring period. With five planets in Aries at the time of the New Moon, we could be fast out of the starting gate, focusing on our personal interests and solely concerned with our own personal issues. We may be looking at expressing our creativity, and we have a strong propensity to thinking out of the box. We may be gung-ho to do what we want to do, but let’s be open to the serendipitous incidents that could be enthralling.
Tuesday, March 28th – Other Forces Than Me – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Jupiter. If we have begun this week with blinders on and only concerned about how the world revolves around us, then we could get some brickbats thrown at us on this Tuesday. The Aries Moon today triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Pluto and the Moon opposes Jupiter. We might have felt like a law unto ourselves yesterday, dismissed some of the accepted ways of doing things and been carving our own path no matter the impediments in our way. Not only could we have been tilting against windmills yesterday, but we might have also been doing some severe toe stomping. Someone today could read us the riot act, knock us off our high horse and demand that we get back in harness with reality. Although we would prefer acting spontaneously and impetuously, Tuesday may demand that we attend to our obligations and make nice with someone we might have slighted in our fury and frenzy of yesterday. There are times when we might wish to assume that we can do whatever we want the way that we want it. Today is not one of those days and can call for us doing penance in some form or another.
Wednesday, March 29th – Spirit in Action – Uranus, Mercury, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course. We start Wednesday with the Aries Moon conjunct Uranus and the Moon conjunct Mercury and the Moon trine Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for three and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus. The Aries thrust moves into the practicality of Taurus. Mercury trines Saturn. We can get a thrust of energy as we begin this day. We might have some ‘ah-ha’ moments when we realize how we can neatly fit various pieces together to complete a situation that could have been puzzling us. We are likely to feel confident and capable, and this day is a good day for us to express our ideas and create the template by which we can take concept and put it into implementation. Not only are we willing to march to our own drummer and take some new trajectory, but we are also taking the time to devise an expeditious strategy that will lead us from initiation through execution to completion in a best practices approach. We have the confidence and the ability to get things done.
Thursday, March 30th – Not Too Much – Neptune, Mars, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter. Thursday continues with the Taurus Moon with the Moon today sextile Neptune, the Moon conjunct Mars and the Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course in the evening hours for seventeen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini tomorrow. Jupiter squares Pluto. We can virtually move mountains on this Thursday if we draw upon our foresight and our determination to get things done. We have to be wary of naysayers, those people who think we are acting Quixote-like and tilting against windmills. We may feel the wind to our back, but someone might try to convince us that we are facing headwinds. Let’s be wary of a person’s jealousy or skittishness about being a risk taker. We are not taking a risk if we plan out our trajectory, consider all the permutations, take into account some of the consequences of our actions and try to elicit the objections someone might have to our intended actions. We just have to be sure that we are not trying to do too much. Taking things step by step can avoid the liable catastrophe of a giant leap before looking.
Friday, March 31st – Polished and Presentable – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Mercury Taurus. Friday begins with the Void-of-Course Moon that began late on Thursday and continues into this Friday with the Moon making no further aspects to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini where today the Moon sextiles Venus. Mercury exits Aries to enter Taurus. Friday could find us polishing how we intend to present ourselves. This is a day for personal makeovers, a time when we can see how we can put our best foot forward. We may have been more interested in recent days in doing our thing with little consideration as to how we are being received. Friday has us more mindful in regard to how we might best present ourselves. We are less interested in immediate results and more focused on building for the long-term. Our communications are likely to be lively and engaging but without the rapid-fire insistence we might have expressed more recently. We are more willing to take things step by step with a recognition that first impressions go a long way in people’s evaluations of who we are and what we can do. We might not only be looking charming and impressive. We can also put people at ease with our captivating and pleasant conversations.
Saturday, April 1st – No Fooling – Sun, Neptune, Jupiter. Saturday is the 1st of April, often referred to as April Fools’ Day. No pranksters for us on this Saturday. The Gemini Moon today sextiles the Sun, the Moon squares Neptune, and the Moon trines Jupiter. We may feel as though the world is our oyster on this Saturday. All sorts of possibilities can open to us today. The question will be what to engage. We don’t want to go it alone today, for this day speaks to enjoyable get-togethers and sharing the joy of the day. We can feel energized and wanting to do ever more. This is a day that calls for time management, giving thought to all of the different activities in which we might participate and figuring out the most expeditious ways by which to engage as many involvements as possible. If we fail to give some thought to the day’s activities, we could start off with a head of steam and find ourselves going in circles or caroming from one thing to another without the best use of our time. This Saturday can be a kaleidoscope of various springtime events, and a day for us to do so with someone else.
Sunday, April 2nd – Possibilities, Responsibilities – Uranus, Saturn, Venus, Mercury, Venus Pisces. Sunday begins with the Gemini Moon sextile Uranus and the Moon opposed Saturn. The Moon then enters Cancer where today the Moon squares Venus and the Moon sextiles Mercury. Late in the day, Venus exits Aries and retrogrades back into Pisces. We may awaken with all sorts of possibilities in mind for some grand adventure. We want to be spontaneous today, step out of our familiar routine and participate in some exciting event. Unfortunately, our possibilities might run headlong into our responsibilities as we realize our commitments are putting the kibosh to our impulsive desires. Feeling as though our wings are clipped, but liable to be clipped by our own previous decisions, we could become resentful and grumpy and be less than pleasant company. Why go there when the fault lies in ourselves rather than in the stars [to borrow from Shakespeare]? Even if we have to participate in certain activities based upon what we have said we would do, let’s suck it up and do so without any outward appearance of disgust or throwing a tantrum. We may feel put upon, but we can talk things through, recognize that spontaneous actions are fun diversions but today is a day when we might need to do what we are obliged to do. With Venus moving back into Pisces, our compassion could be engaged but also played upon. Let’s not do more than would be appropriate and make certain that we’re not engaging the savior – martyr game.
