The astrology for this week of March 20th through the 26th begins with the Vernal Equinox on Monday as the Sun enters Aries and triggers the astrological new year. This week provides a fiery start to the astrological new year with a desire for renewal and rebirth that springtime and the astrological new year promise.
With the Sun entering Aries, we now have four planets in the Cardinal Fire Sign as the Sun joins Mercury, Venus and Uranus in Aries. At the time of the Vernal Equinox, the Sagittarius Moon conjuncts Saturn. There is a great deal of fire to begin the Spring. We may be impetuous, impulsive, interested in new beginnings but with a hold on us from past obligations and daily responsibilities. We could have our head in the clouds, but our commitments pinning us to the ground.
Thursday through Sunday have various Mercury aspects with Mercury triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square beginning with the Mercury square Pluto on Thursday, followed by Mercury opposed Jupiter on Friday and culminating with Mercury conjunct Uranus on Sunday.
We have to be wary of shooting from the lip, being contentious and adamant about our perspective and the rightness of our actions. Discussions can turn into arguments and may impact our significant relationships. We might not be interested in any viewpoint other than our own.
A liability towards narcissism could be strong during this early Spring period with so much Aries energy, accentuated on Saturday by the Sun conjunct Venus when we could make it all about ME.
The final aspect to the Cardinal Sign T-Square triggered by Mercury’s transit of Aries occurs at the end of the week, on Sunday, with Mercury conjunct Uranus. This is a day when we could gain some interesting insights, sparkling revelations, if we are willing to open our mind to receive the ah-ha moments that come from thinking outside the box.
We do have to watch out for travel and especially air travel at this time. The Mercury Uranus conjunction is a high energy, high frequency combination. We can be inspired, but we might also discover various glitches. The information may be coming fast and furious and perhaps at such breakneck speed that it becomes close to impossible for us to bring it down to the lower frequency of this earth plane. We could experience computer glitches and difficulties in moving from place to place.
If we can keep up with the energy, we could come up with some startling solutions to problems that might have perplexed us beforehand.
The key to this first week of Spring is to rein in our enthusiasm and modulate our actions.
Monday, March 20th – Here Comes the Sun – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Sun Aries. Today is the Vernal Equinox, the first day of the Spring season, as the Sun exits Pisces to enter Aries and begin the astrological new year. The day begins with the Sagittarius Moon conjunct Saturn. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for five hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn where today the Moon squares the Sun. Although we might be champing at the bit to emphasize our individual pursuits and explore new directions like a pioneer with machete in hand, obligations and commitments could prove limiting restrictions. We may feel as though we have to deal with outstanding matters before we are free and clear to pursue new interests. Even if we have to put on hold what we want to do, it would be wise for us to address issues and situations that would only come up again and hold us back at another time. Let’s deal with what needs to be done and recognize that we shall have plenty of time to engage our new interests later on. First things first.
Tuesday, March 21st – Taking Care of Business – Venus, Mars, Neptune, Mercury. Tuesday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today square both Venus and Mercury both in Aries, and the Moon trine Mars, and the Moon sextile Neptune. We might have felt hampered yesterday by our routine and our usual tasks. That attitude can continue on into this Tuesday. We might feel that we can’t get on with things we want to do but rather have to deal with things we need to do. If we would stop grousing and whining and focus our attention, we could accomplish more today than we might appreciate. This is a day for us to attend to our business and not shoot ourselves in the foot by looking to distractions and diversions that would only take us away from what needs to get done. Our situation can be akin to a school child sitting at their desk looking out the window, wishing they were outside having fun, and neglecting their teacher’s lesson. Hopefully, we have grown up from that adolescent and can be more self-disciplined and deal with our daily responsibilities.
Wednesday, March 22nd – Maintaining Focus – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Wednesday begins with the Capricorn Moon and the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon today conjuncts Pluto, the Moon squares Jupiter in Libra, and the Moon squares Uranus in Aries. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for thirteen hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn without making any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Aquarius late in the day. We might be hyped up to deal with this, that and the other. This is a day when we need to prioritize our activities. We can complete various matters, so long as we don’t let our attention change due to someone’s input or our own desire to do something impulsive. There will be days for us to take a powder and not attend to routine matters. But this Wednesday is a good to concentrate on the most important projects, deal with the specifics and do so by cutting away the extraneous and attending to the essential particulars in an expeditious manner. We might be starting this, starting that, but if we would prioritize our activities, then we can handle any number of things but in their proper order. As the day progresses, we may be tying up various loose ends and trying to clear the decks in order to engage other interests over the next two days.
Thursday, March 23rd – Things That Speak to the New Us – Sun, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Pluto. Thursday has the Moon in Aquarius with the Moon today sextile both the Sun and Venus both in Aries, and the Moon square Mars in Cancer. We start the Mercury T-Square that lasts through the weekend, first with Mercury square Pluto today. Tomorrow, Mercury opposes Jupiter, and on Sunday Mercury conjuncts Uranus. This end of the week through the weekend takes on a strong Mercurial overtone with thoughts, ideas and discussions likely to revolve around ME. Thursday can have us far more interested in communicating prospects and possibilities, giving thought to new trajectories that truly speak to us and allow us greater autonomy and freedom of movement. We might feel compelled to deal with home and family matters, but we are far more interested in future options. While our mind can be incisive and able to focus laser-like, we are also liable to brook no opposition. Discussions could turn heated, especially if we feel that people aren’t acceding to our opinions or are not paying us due deference. Let’s try to keep our conversations pleasant and appreciate that people don’t always have to agree with us and they might even have an interesting suggestion that could benefit us.
Friday, March 24th – This and More – Jupiter, Mercury, Uranus. Friday can be one of those ‘feel good’ days. The Moon continues to transit through Aquarius. Today, the Moon trines Jupiter, the Moon sextiles both Mercury and Uranus both in Aries. Mercury opposes Jupiter. This can be one of those days when we look to get together with someone and share our thoughts on some of our plans. We are likely to be feeling good, even inspired, regarding our prospects and we may be looking for someone to validate our euphoria. This could be one of those ‘Spring fever’ days when we just want to have a leisurely lunch and start the weekend early. We want things to stay on a pleasant tone and would prefer that people follow our lead. We might want to do something impulsive and spontaneous in the evening hours, for we wish to stretch beyond our normal parameters in order to participate in things that are fun and exciting.
Saturday, March 25th – Seductively Appealing – Saturn, Sun, Venus. Saturday begins with the Aquarius Moon sextile Saturn, but much of the day has the Moon transiting through Pisces. The Sun conjuncts Venus. Friday night, Saturday morning could find us reconnecting with someone from our past, a fun reunion with people we might not have seen for a while. Much of this Saturday can be pleasant if we don’t try and push the envelope or try to do too much. Saturday is a day for lolling about, indulging and pampering ourselves. We might choose a personal makeover and present ourselves in a mysterious, seductive, appealing manner. This day can be all about ME. It’s Spring, and we might use the beginning of the season as the justification for renewal, rebirth and a buying spree. We want to appear our very best and although we might assume that we are wanting to look our best for someone else, in truth we are wanting to look our very best for ourself. And why not?
Sunday, March 26th – Inspired or Deluded – Mars, Neptune, Pluto, Mercury, Uranus. Sunday has the Pisces Moon sextile Mars, the Moon conjunct Neptune, and the Moon sextile Pluto. Mercury conjuncts Uranus. If we can keep our wits about us, this day could be highly productive with some startling insights. Revelations may be fast and furious today, and we might solve certain issues that have been perplexing us for some time. If we do not get carried away by the energy, we can enlist our ah-ha moments with our foresight and practical application to virtually move mountains. Where a problem arises is in trying to harness today’s energies and not get swept up by them and carried out to some delusional realm. Sunday has the higher frequencies of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto all engaged. Being able to work effectively with these energies is a hard task and one that demands that we maintain clarity and not get in our own way. Information and movements can be streamlined and things can happen rapidly. The pace may be picked up significantly today. The question is whether we can keep up with the pace. Failing that, we could find ourselves highly emotional, sensitive and taking things too much to heart. Disruptions can occur with difficulties with travel, communications and computer glitches. Being open to the unexpected today could provide us with some unique gifts, and we could be privy to wonder-filled surprises.
