The astrology for this week of February 6th through the 12th can reveal some good times and interesting surprises, all leading up to the Lunar Eclipse at the Leo Full Moon.
We start the week in a chatty mood. Whomever we can talk up, we’re likely to do so. We might not have anything of depth to communicate, but we are looking for those special nuggets of truth or those fascinating revelations that often occur during idle conversation. We are likely to be far more interested in what could be rather than what is, limitless possibilities instead of mundane realities.
Our mind is alive with possibilities, options and alternatives, although we might be slightly reticent to take the plunge of starting up something new and different from our usual involvements. We could talk a good story, but liable to have little follow through. We might be revving our engines but stuck in neutral without putting ourselves into drive.
The mid-week period can have us doing a throw back into old situations or conditions, some of which might be to elude the possibility of venturing forth like a pioneer into new territory. Vacillations could prove a good thing since we might be looking at options, any options, to what we are doing presently and even considering engagements that could only lead us down a dark and winding tunnel with neither light nor benefit at the end of it.
Champing at the bit may be preferable to forging ahead without knowing where we are going or what we are doing, only knowing that there is movement under our feet.
The end of the week has the Leo Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse. We could easily fall prey to assuming that we have it all together, that we can work our magic and that we are truly legends but with the tendency of being ‘legends in our own mind’.
Let’s look for creative outlets towards the end of the week — whether the creative outlets are formats for our own expression or venues in which we can observe and enjoy the creative talents of other people.
The weekend could serve as a good time to filter through and consider the specifics of our activities and our perceptions. We might have gotten carried away by all the varied situations presented to us, believed that we could easily skate through any obstructions and been more adept in our concepts than in the actual engagement.
As the pop classic song suggests: ‘slow down, you move too fast, you got to make the morning last.’
Monday, February 6th – It’s All Fun and Games Until – Uranus, Lunar Grand Trine, Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, Jupiter retrograde. Monday begins the week with a spring in our step and a smile on our face. The week begins on this Monday with the Gemini Moon sextile Uranus and the Moon triggering an Air Sign Grand Trine with the Moon trine the Sun in Aquarius and the Moon trine Jupiter in Libra. Later in the day the Moon opposes Saturn. Monday has Jupiter turning retrograde for a four-month retrograde cycle. Conversations may be many today, ideas rampant with cascades of scintillating conversations and brief sparkles of genius mixed in. This is a day for us to take into account what is being said even if the discussions revolve around superficial, even insipid, topics. We could hear something that sparks our interest and provides us an ‘ah-ha’ moment and opens the door to ideas we might never have considered before. Everyone is likely to be light and lilting today. No heaviness, please, for we can feel like we are floating on clouds until later in the day when we are brought down to earth by our responsibilities or a heavy duty reality check.
Tuesday, February 7th – Better in Concept Than in Reality – Venus, Mars, Neptune, Mercury Aquarius. Tuesday has the Moon entering Cancer where today the Moon squares Venus and Mars both in Aries and the Moon trines Neptune. Mercury exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius. The upbeat confidence of yesterday may subside today under our own self-questioning, the phantoms of the past and our conditioning trying to trip us up. In our head we can visualize all sorts of ways of accomplishing new goals and developing new interests. Our internal scrutiny could create an insecurity whereby we are reticent, even scared, to move forward into uncharted waters. We may know that we want to go into unexplored realms and our spirit can be willing but we might feel that we don’t have the resources or the abilities to go forward. Even if we do a two-step of one step forward, two steps back; two steps forward, one step back; we do not have to be totally paralyzed. Let’s keep in mind that the first step on any journey is abstract and conceptual. If we do not try and rush impetuously forward, we could utilize creative visualization to make the journey successfully in our mind’s eye, which in turn can give us the strength to start the first step into new trajectories.
Wednesday, February 8th – All Over the Place – Lunar Grand Cross, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter. Wednesday continues with the Cancer Moon with the Moon today triggering a Cardinal Sign Grand Cross as the Moon opposes Pluto in Capricorn, the Moon squares Uranus in Aries, and the Moon squares Jupiter in Libra. With a desire to start things up, we could be all beginnings but with the liability of little follow through today. Our personal interests, new prospects, old responsibilities and other people’s issues could all be clamoring for our attention and our engagement. We might find ourselves pushed and pulled in all sorts of directions and not with enough time to accomplish much in any one area. This Wednesday may prove exhausting, and it would be wise for us not to allow our emotions to get in the way, for otherwise our desire to comfort and nurture can wind up with us totally spent and with no reserve left for ourselves. This is a day for us to be slightly self-centered but not narcissistic, and for us to realize that other people and the world itself may need to take care of their own situations.
Thursday, February 9th – The Creative I – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Sun, Uranus. Thursday may give us a second wind with a desire for good times and the opportunity of expressing ourselves. Everyone might wish to be on center stage. The Moon moves into Leo where today the Moon opposes Mercury and the Moon trines Venus and Mars both in Aries. The Aquarius Sun sextiles Uranus. With a reinforced sense of self, everyone could be marching to their own drummer, and consequently there could be a cacophony of a lot of noise as people position themselves to be heard and to stand out. There’s likely to be little fitting in today, for the energy speaks to accentuating the individuality and going one’s own way. Whether we engage our creative talents in whatever format we choose to express or we observe the performances of someone else, we are looking for the upside of enjoying ourselves. We might not see shrinking violets today, since people are okay with their own quirkiness and doing their own thing. This Thursday can be a day to test the waters of new self-expressive involvements. We don’t have to be masters at any one thing. On the contrary, this is a day when we can explore and investigate and just play without the weight of expectations upon us.
Friday, February 10th – Magic Upon Us – Uranus, Leo Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, Venus. Friday provides a crescendo to all the magical and serendipitous encounters of the last two weeks since the Aquarius New Moon back on January 27th. Whether we opened new doors or new doors were open to us, the sense of being in the right place at the right time may have played out with some interesting new connections, the possibility of new trajectories and a recognition that we do not always have to make things happen since things often happen without our initiating them. Friday has the Leo Moon trine Uranus, the Moon opposed the Sun at the Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse, and the Moon sextile Jupiter. Mercury sextiles Venus. We may have gone back and forth regarding our own personal interests and the interests of someone else over the past couple of weeks, all with our intention of crossing the threshold into a new realm and engage new involvements. Friday allows us to juggle any number of things, all with a creative twist to them and all employing unique aspects of ourselves of which we are only recently becoming aware. Our relationships can improve as we note new characteristics in friends and acquaintances that we just didn’t realize and might not have even been evident. This is a day for us to have our antennae up, no rush to judgment but enjoy the magic and mini-miracles of these times, the scenarios playing out before us, and the alchemical transformations going on with other people. Can we say: ‘what a wonderful world?’ Why not?
Saturday, February 11th – My Bestest Friend – Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Jupiter. Late Friday, early Saturday has the Moon trine Saturn. We can broaden our plans and determine how we formalize the steps to realize our goals. We may put our talents of matching things and placing things in the right way to work in the late evening of Friday and early morning hours of Saturday. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eight hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Leo and before the Moon enters Virgo early on Saturday. The Sun sextiles Jupiter. We may use this Saturday of piecing together the specifics of those things we wish to get rid of and also to formulate the specific steps to achieve success with any new trajectories we are likely to undertake. We may spend time in the company of someone who is a great admirer of us as we are of them. Yes, the Mutual Admiration Society could be happening today, and we could find that an advocate of our plans also provides some important suggestions as to how we best proceed. This is a day to enjoy other people, to see in them some of the growth and development that these challenging times have provided them. As Friedrich Nietzsche’s famous saying goes: ‘That which does not kill us makes us stronger.’
Sunday, February 12th – Forget the Cockiness – Neptune, Pluto. Sunday has the Virgo Moon opposed Neptune and the Moon trine Pluto. We can draw upon our intuitive sense and reasoning mind to come up with a focused and strategic way to get things done. We do have to watch for a level of arrogance whereby we assume that everything will just naturally fit together and flow easily. Sometimes it does, other times it doesn’t. This is a day when we could easily move mountains, with a little humility. We can concentrate on the truly meaningful, prioritize our activities and streamline our operations. We do need to be wary of getting distracted or getting lazy. We may feel that we can accomplish much and more, but let’s take things step by step, clear away the clutter and provide space for an effective and expeditious achievement of one thing after another. This can be a highly productive day if we don’t get in the way by our attitude of being self-impressed or being distracted by the extraneous, albeit sparkly and shiny intrigues.
