Things can turn wild and wooly with the astrology during this week of February 27th through March 5th. Half measures can be lost to extreme measures.
The week may start off slowly and pleasantly enough and then suddenly switch into overdrive. We may be resistant to wise counsel or any suggestion of moderation in our attitudes or our behavior. We can be hell-bent for glory or just a rebel without a cause. We are unlikely to brook any opposition. We could be a little too self-absorbed for our own good.
Have you noticed that people are far more insistent upon their being right and that tolerance has become a lost art despite the mouthing of tolerance?
As Buffalo Springfield sang in their classic For What It’s Worth: “Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong.”
With a Stellium in Aries and a Stellium in Pisces, we have a strong focus on each one of us leading the parade with us either being savior or martyr and sometimes both with quick switches in the process.
Confusion can be a large part of the second half of this week. We might wonder who we are and seek out identities by which to define ourselves. I am _____ [fill in the blank].
We might even call upon someone for a clarity check as to who we really are. We may need comfort and support this week and possibly to draw upon someone who has laser-like vision to cut through our fog.
In our search for clarity and terra firma we can be all over the place, kind of like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, trying this, experimenting with that, until finally settling on something, anything whatever that would resolve our confusion.
The week is a highly active week. We might be feeling the first thaws of Spring and find the impulse to get moving, but we are unlikely to have a clear itinerary, direction or destination in mind.
Monday, February 27th – Tripped Up – Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Jupiter. We may start this week with a strong focus on our priorities and what we wish to accomplish. We can have an interesting blend of our intuition and a cut-to-the-core approach. If we take the time to plan out our day and plan out our week, we could avoid mindless distractions and appealing diversions. The Pisces Moon sextiles Pluto early in the day and the Moon squares Saturn late in the day just prior to the Moon going Void-of-Course for close to six hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries late tonight. Mars opposes Jupiter. We could easily get tripped up today by someone else or by our trying to show off our abilities. Whether we get drawn away by sweet enchantments or by our own egotistical yearnings, the latter part of the day could prove frustrating. We may have forgotten our responsibilities, or we might realize that our own personal issues prevented us from using the full potential of this day. Concentrating on what we want to get done on this Monday and for the week can keep us on track and prevent us from wandering from the truly significant and meaningful projects we have in mind.
Tuesday, February 28th – Sweet Indulgences – Venus. The Aries Moon conjuncts Venus today, and what an appropriate day for Shrove Tuesday, also known as Fat Tuesday. This day might find us indulging in all sorts of sweet temptations and often to extremes or even excess. This day is a heightened ME day, a day when we want to have fun, enjoy ourselves and not worry about the consequences from any extravagance. While we can go whole hog on self-gratification today, we could also channel the energy into creative outlets that allow us to express ourselves and exhibit our talented side. We want to be playful today and if we can forego our responsibilities, then all the better. We are not likely to brook any opposition or interference to our having fun. Everyone is likely to be doing their own thing today, so let’s recognize a liability on virtually everybody’s part to be narcissistic and self-absorbed. If we are looking to make major decisions or commitments, it would be wise for us to hold off until later in the week. We could be so enamored with our self that we might assume that everything will go according to plan, our plan. We could easily negate significant details and overlook important factors. This day is better spent lolling about and having a good time, even if it turns out to be a party of one.
Wednesday, March 1st – Pedal to the Metal – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Sun, Neptune. Apart from today being ‘hump’ day occurring in the middle of our workweek, this Wednesday is also the first day of March. Whenever we start a month, it feels as though we should flip into high gear even to the point of overdrive. The energies on this Wednesday certainly contribute to a sense of high activity with the Aries Moon today triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon conjunct both Uranus and Mars, the Moon square Pluto and the Moon opposed Jupiter. Late in the day, the Moon trines Saturn before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for five and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus early on Thursday. The Sun conjuncts Neptune. While we might put the pedal to the metal today, we could also find ourselves in neutral racing the engine but going nowhere. This can be a highly spiritual day, whereby we seek divine guidance as to what to do, which way to go. If left up to ourselves, we could be all over the place, seeking to put our personal imprint on various activities, liable to offend someone and even tilting at windmills Quixote-like. While we could spend the day trying this, doing that, the latter part of the day allows us to put things in perspective. It would be preferable to flip the energies of this day in order to have a focus as to what to do and where to go, but the energies aren’t operating that way today. Even if we find ourselves in a world of confusion, let’s avoid wearing ourselves out and appreciate the fact that confusion is the starting point of wisdom since confusion dispels the trust and faith in our own belief system. Today is a day to hand things over to the universe unfolding and see where it takes us.
Thursday, March 2nd – All This and More – Mercury, Neptune, Jupiter, Uranus. The Moon enters Taurus early on this Thursday and the Moon late in the day sextiles Mercury and Neptune both in Pisces. Jupiter opposes Uranus. There is not a great deal of energy today. There can be a tug-of-war between our personal interests and someone else’s desires. If we are open to suggestions, we might learn of new trajectories or streamlined ways to accomplish our goals. Let’s avoid being contentious and too self-interested. If we consider what is going on with the other person, then we could appeal to their good nature. We can present things in a grounded manner and with a sense of mystique that might prove enticing. We need not be belligerent. As the saying goes: ‘you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar’. Playing nice doesn’t mean capitulating. On the contrary, our attitude and taking an interest in someone’s priorities can win us an advocate and someone who could provide sage advice regarding our own projects and involvements.
Friday, March 3rd – Hasta La Vista, Baby – Sun, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. The day begins with the Taurus Moon sextile the Sun and the Moon trine Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over eighteen and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini early on Saturday morning. If we begin the day in a focused manner, we can prioritize our activities and get a great deal done. The more we accomplish early in the day, the more likely we are to start our weekend early. Although we have the impetus to tie up loose ends and concentrate on the truly meaningful, we could be watching the clock and ready to take a long lunch and then off for our weekend plans. Social occasions in the evening hours might have more of a purpose than a pleasant gathering. We may have our goals and intentions in mind as we engage people in light conversation. Addressing our errands and dealing with our responsibilities clears the deck for a smorgasbord of possibilities over the weekend.
Saturday, March 4th – Intuitive or Delusional – Mercury, Neptune, Venus retrograde. The Moon enters Gemini on this Saturday morning. Our mind can be racing, our thoughts all over the place. Mercury conjuncts Neptune and Venus turns retrograde. This Saturday can be dicey with a great deal of confusion. We might assume that we are listening to our inner voice with our intuitive sense heightened. It could turn out that our thinking is more anxiety-based and that we are driven by our fears. Mercury is transiting Pisces, a Sign in which Mercury is in Detriment and uncomfortable. And Neptune is in its own Sign of Pisces increasing the spiritual aspect but also allowing for diffusion. Mercury and Neptune together in Pisces can accentuate either our intuition or our self-deception. We need to take everything with a grain of salt today, not jump to conclusions or be enthralled with what we want things to be rather than the true reality of the situation. Venus turns retrograde today and Venus transiting Aries is in Detriment where Venus is not at all comfortable. Relationships could be difficult since we might be seeing things only from our own perspective without taking into account someone else’s viewpoint. Saturday and Sunday are days when we need to stay grounded and not allow our concerns to have free rein in our thoughts or our behavior. It would be wise to avoid building mountains out of molehills. To borrow again from the Buffalo Springfield classic For What It’s Worth:
‘Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you’re always afraid…’
Sunday, March 5th – Traipsing through the Mind Games –Neptune, Venus, Mercury, Sun, Jupiter, Uranus, Mars, Saturn. Saturday night, early Sunday morning sleep could be anything but tranquil. With the Gemini Moon squaring the three Pisces-transiting planets of Neptune, Mercury and the Sun, we could be dealing with all sorts of phantoms racing through our thoughts and triggering various mind games. We might awaken feeling out of sorts. The Moon also sextiles Venus and late in the day the Moon trines Jupiter and the Moon sextiles Uranus. Mars trines Saturn. This is a day for us to keep our wits about us. We may be all over the place today whether literally or figuratively. Before we start anything on this Sunday, it would be wise to play devil’s advocate and question whether our engagement will benefit us or would likely have us running around in circles. While the early part of the day could have us hopping, the latter part of the day seems far more tranquil. Someone close to us can pull us out of any funk we’ve put ourselves in, help straighten us out and provide us with suggestions regarding new and healthier adventures we might journey on.
