The astrology for this week of December 5th through the 11th is a cornucopia of lively spirits, fun adventures, expansive feelings and a liability of exhausting ourselves with too much good cheer.
The week begins with us in high gear, making our plans to add sugar and a dash of spice to our holiday get-togethers. We could be feeling good about things, optimistic and looking forward to fully engaging the various events that come during this holiday time. No parade rainers for us this week! We’re upbeat and looking to share good times with good friends and hoping that everyone is on the same page. Some people may be whistling ‘happy days are here again’.
Our sensitivity is heightened, and we might feel as though everything is working out in our personal lives just as it should.
From the safety of our happy space we are likely to step forward into new realms, engage new people and look to broaden our reach as far as participating in activities that are unfamiliar to us. We might feel like a pioneer ready to test the waters of new interests, different projects and explorations of a new sense of our self.
Although we can get caught up in the whirlwind of the sense of dramatic change, we have to be wary that we are not moving too fast. We might want to slow things down rather than jumping from one thing to another to another. This is a time for us to savor each experience, every incident and fully enjoy the depth and scope of our participations.
The weekend seems ripe for social occasions, although too much partying on Friday night might leave us drained and wiped out on Saturday morning. Whether shopping or dealing with holiday expectations, the weekend could have us running errands. Despite some possible screw-ups in the process, we can accomplish a great deal before the weekend comes to closure.
Monday, December 5th – Get Your Motor Running – Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Much of the energy of this Monday occurs in the early morning hours. The Aquarius Moon trines Jupiter, the Moon sextiles Saturn, the Moon conjuncts Mars and the Moon sextiles Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over seventeen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces late in the day. We might have a great deal in mind to do on this Monday, especially with the holidays upon us. We may be planning social occasions, making our shopping lists for gifts and holiday meals and be thrust into the frenzy of holiday merrymaking. That’s all well and good and our intentions might be great. But we could also get our motor running, put the pedal to the metal, but find ourselves spinning our wheels. This is a day for us to have a plan of action and a schedule for how we approach this day. Otherwise, we could be off and running but winding up nowhere except going around in circles. Distractions can beguile us, so it would be wise to make our list, check it twice and then check off each of our scheduled activities as we accomplish them. Touching base with people allows us to provide some holiday cheer to them. After what has been a crazy few weeks, we might all acknowledge the refrain from the Broadway musical Mame: ‘…we need a little Christmas right this very minute.’
Tuesday, December 6th – Stepping Through the Veil of Maya – Mercury, Neptune, Mars, Uranus. Tuesday has the Pisces Moon sextile Mercury and the Moon conjunct Neptune. Mars sextiles Uranus. Our sensitivity could be strong today even to the point of being able to intuit what needs to go where and what is truly going on. Our spirituality can be engaged, and we might be far more compassionate to the plight of those less fortunate than ourselves. This is a day when we may put spirit into action, go out of our way for someone, and realize that we all belong to the community of humanity. Unexpected situations could arise, and we might be more than willing to take the path less traveled today. If we will listen to our inner voice, trust our instincts and be open to the miraculous, we could find ourselves stepping into new trajectories, encountering interesting people along the way. This may be a day when we board the bus on the magical, mystery tour of the universe unfolding, rather than our sense of having to make things happen. There is a serenity and peace in letting go and being open to the universe unfolding. We might truly experience the truth to the sentiment that the universe has far greater plans and experiences for us than we could have ever imagined for ourselves. Let’s be open to the magic of the unexpected today and not box ourselves into any prescribed schedule.
Wednesday, December 7th – The Sirens Call – Sun, Pluto, Saturn, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus Aquarius. Recent Void-of-Course Moons seem rather lengthy with the Moon aspects providing short windows of opportunity and energy. When the Moon is Void-of-Course, there is not a lot of energy to get things done expeditiously and effectively. It’s like dead air. Wednesday has the Pisces Moon square both the Sun and Saturn in Sagittarius and the Moon sextile Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over eighteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Pisces and before the Moon enters Aries early on Thursday. Venus exits Capricorn to enter Aquarius. This is a day when we could be pulled from what needs to get done by distractions and diversions far afield. We might prefer to be somewhere other than where we are. Although distant fields can beckon us with the sirens’ call, if we stay focused we could accomplish a lot today. We just have to be certain that we hone our involvements, concentrate on the truly meaningful and utilize our due diligence. Interesting, quirky people may enter our lives unexpectedly and largely by chance.
Thursday, December 8th – Second Wind – Venus, Mercury. Thursday has the Moon moving into Aries where today the Aries Moon sextiles Venus and the Moon squares Mercury. We may feel as if we have gained a second wind and partly as a result of something someone has made us aware of. This is a day for us to test the waters of new suggestions without making a major commitment. We prefer something exciting and different to our habitual routine. Our due diligence could be lacking today, and we could easily find ourselves participating in events that are brief interludes rather than long-term engagements. We are more interested in starting things today, initiating and launching than in dealing with the usual humdrum mundane matters of our lives. Newness speaks volumes to us today but just might not have longevity. If we can act on the spur-of-the-moment, we are likely to do so. Over the past few days we might have been ruminating about possibilities and taking different trajectories in our daily affairs. This Thursday could prove the starting gun of new involvements. We might not need to know every detail and specific in the journey ahead, but we are likely to be willing to take a first step today and allow the process to unfold as we move ahead.
Friday, December 9th – Full Steam Ahead – Sun, Saturn, Mars, Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Friday continues with the Aries Moon with the Moon today trine the Sun and Saturn both in Sagittarius and the Moon sextile Mars. The Moon also triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square with the Moon conjunct Uranus, the Moon square Pluto and the Moon opposed Jupiter. The Sun sextiles Jupiter. Late in the day, the Moon goes Void-of-Course for eleven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus tomorrow. We may be confident and optimistic and could put ourselves in overdrive today. We might assume that we have our plans in hand, our itinerary clear and all with the intention to broaden our involvements. Nice concept, but that’s where the universe and someone else might step in. Various curveballs could upset our schedule. We may realize that there are more pressing demands than what we had planned. Someone could show up late or not be where we expected them to be. Although we can accomplish a great deal today, our inclinations might be to fly away, get out of town and spend time with someone far away. The latter part of the day might have us doing things on impulse. Whether we have accomplished what we set out to do today or not, we could choose to do something on a lark. Friday is a high energy day that can prove overly energetic and wind up to be hugely exhausting.
Saturday, December 10th – Trusting Our Instincts – Venus, Neptune, Mercury, Sun, Saturn. Saturday has the Moon moving into Taurus where today the Moon squares Venus and the Moon sextiles Neptune. Mercury sextiles Neptune, and the Sun conjuncts Saturn. After what may have been a whirlwind of activity yesterday with its various bumps along the way, we might feel depleted on this Saturday. Although we may have committed to certain plans today, let’s try to deal with what we had scheduled without too much griping about it. This is a day for us to act smarter rather than pursue our engagements harder. Our mind can be incredibly sharp today, especially if we would draw upon our intuitive sense. We could figure out all the right steps, moves and placements if we would trust our instincts. We might not be feeling at the top of our game, but we can go through the motions without revealing our mood or our fatigue. We may not be able to do everything that we set out to do today, but it would be wise for us to relax, reinvigorate and gather our strength. Holidays should not be about how exhausted we can get, but rather good times of cheer with those people we enjoy to be with. This Saturday may have some social obligations and some even with the ghosts of Christmas past, but we can certainly play the part no matter how we feel about the situation.
Sunday, December 11th – Running on All Cylinders – Mercury, Pluto, Mars. Even if we were restricted or too tired to get everything done yesterday that we wanted to do, this Sunday is a day when we can be highly effective and expeditious in what we are doing. If we have holiday shopping to accomplish, this Sunday would be a good day to do it. Not only can we find the right things for the different people on our list. We could also find those gifts at bargain prices. Our mind is sharp and focused today. The Taurus Moon today trines both Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn. This is one of those ‘get ‘er done’ days. Whatever we set our mind to on this Sunday, we can easily achieve, even to the point of moving mountains. Saturday allowed us to draw upon our ethereal side, our intuitive sense. Sunday gives us the strength of mind and strength of body to put spirit into action. Much of the energy of this day seems concentrated in the morning hours. Let’s not tarry today but rather be fast out of the starting lane. By planning our actions, we can utilize optimum time management and might discover that we are getting more done than we could have imagined. Late in the day, the Taurus Moon squares Mars. We could be overly impressed by our accomplishments today and go to the extreme of adding ever more to our ‘to do’ list for the days ahead. Why go there when instead we can bask in the glow of our accomplishments? Enough is enough, too much can prove excessive and self-defeating.
