The astrology for this week of November 28th through December 4th can be replete with all sorts of options and alternatives for us. We just have to be clear where we step and how we use our boundless optimism.
The week begins without a great deal of energy. In the US, we’re coming off the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We might try to get back on track and find our footing as we start the week. We are also on the dark side of the Moon prior to Tuesday’s Sagittarius New Moon.
While not much might go on or get done on Monday, the week seems to begin with a thrust of energy on Tuesday with the Sagittarius New Moon. We might feel as though our life is a smorgasbord of various treats and temptations. Although the vast array of options might seem confusing, it would be important for us to clarify what we wish to engage and how best to proceed with our actions.
Unexpected connections could be daunting early in the week and add slight confusion to our plans. The latter part of the week allows for us to focus and concentrate on what we truly wish to pursue. Once we become focused, we might feel as though we can virtually move mountains. We could feel encouraged by someone with a detached perspective, who advocates for our intentions and helps us hone a best practices approach to realize our goals.
The weekend might provide time and space for us to explore possibilities, drawing upon our experience and expertise to fully develop our future interests.
Despite some liable stumbles earlier in the week, we can find our rhythm and pace, and later in the week ‘straighten up and fly right’, as penned in the classic song by Nat King Cole and Irving Mills.
Monday, November 28th – Sorting Out – Moon Void-of-Course. The twenty-three hour Void-of-Course Moon, which began yesterday as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio without making further connections to the planets, continues into most of this Monday. Later in the day, the Moon moves into Sagittarius but makes no connections to the planets today. We are on the dark side of the Moon prior to tomorrow’s Sagittarius New Moon. This day may be best served as a wrap, tying up loose ends, bringing things to closure and getting rid of the extraneous that serve only as needless diversions. In the US, we are coming off the long Thanksgiving holiday and for some people it might be hard to get back on track. Even if we get back on track with our regular routine, we might have difficulty picking up steam. With the waning Moon it is always best to release and let go rather than to initiate or start up. Our launches can wait until tomorrow. Today is a day to tidy, straighten and sort out.
Tuesday, November 29th – Every Which Way – Sagittarius New Moon, Sun, Neptune, Mars, Venus, Uranus. Tuesday gives us the Sagittarius New Moon with the Moon conjunct the Sun, the Moon square Neptune and the Moon sextile Mars. Venus squares Uranus. We may get up a head of steam on this Tuesday, but we could also be out of the station prior to our determining our direction. Before we race out the door on this Tuesday, it would be wise to have a plan of action in mind. With unbounded enthusiasm we might assume that we can do it all and then some. If we go that route, we might discover that we are tending to go round in circles. The afternoon hours could find unexpected situations forcing us to stop and shift our focus from what we have been doing to addressing some unanticipated incident that requires our immediate attention. Let’s avoid being thrown for a loop, but rather change course and consider other possibilities. Confusion might reign on this Tuesday and Wednesday, and we may have to show how adept we are at being flexible and adaptable. The New Moon is the signature for the next fortnight up to the Full Moon and casts its influence over the next two weeks. Clarity may be lacking at times, curveballs could be thrown at us, but the more we can take a wait and see attitude the better we would be to handle any contingencies.
Wednesday, November 30th – Running Free, Reining In – Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Mercury, Sun, Neptune. Wednesday has a push pull quality to the day and all under the umbrella of our confused state. The Sagittarius Moon today sextiles Jupiter, the Moon conjuncts Saturn, the Moon trines Uranus, and the Moon conjuncts Mercury. The Sun squares Neptune. We may be ready to expand our activities, take on more projects, all inspired and encouraged by someone who may have our best interests at heart. But as the saying goes: ‘walk a mile in my moccasins’. Although we can have a great advocate for broadening our reach, our advocate might not be fully aware of our long list of commitments and engagements. Even if we do opt for adding something new to our repertoire, we could find our usual tasks demanding our time and our attention. This Wednesday can be a moody day with swings high and low. Even if we feel indebted to someone or restricted by our responsibilities, we could still do an interlude of breakaway from our tasks and our personal involvements to explore new possibilities for ourselves. We might feel confused about who we are, where we are going or what we are doing, but no worries. I often say that ‘confusion is the starting point of wisdom’. Detached from our beliefs, opinions and assumptions about things, we become less fixed to our perspective and our modus operandi and more open to all possibilities. Today is a day for us to be open to the swirlings of the universe unfolding without our making judgment or trying to force things according to our personal whims.
Thursday, December 1st – Watching, Waiting – Neptune, Mars, Jupiter. Thursday is the 1st day of December, the last month of 2016. We might feel as though the year has raced by, and our feelings would not be exaggerated for there truly is an acceleration going on. We are being asked to handle more in shorter periods of time. This Thursday has the Moon in Capricorn, but much of the energy on this Thursday occurs late in the Day when the Moon sextiles Neptune and Mars trines Jupiter. We could be trying to figure out what occurred yesterday when we might have felt like we were in a pachinko machine with our course of the day moving from one direction to another and without any straight line trajectory. Although we might have felt slightly confused over the past two days, after a wait and see attitude today, we can gain a second wind and launch forward with new approaches and new interests. We may reach out and contact various people, make our holiday plans and realize that the year’s end is nearly upon us. Whatever we have not achieved this year that we resolved to do at the beginning of the year, we might make plans to accomplish before the year’s end or early in the new year.
Friday, December 2nd – Picking Up the Pace – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Jupiter, Uranus, Mercury Capricorn. Friday has the Capricorn Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon conjuncts Pluto, the Moon squares Jupiter in Libra and the Moon squares Uranus in Aries. Mercury exits Sagittarius to enter Capricorn. We could be all over the place on this Friday, looking to advance our long-term goals, all the while that we are dealing with someone else’s issues and also interested in our doing something on an impulsive and spontaneous manner. This is a day when we can put spirit into action. Some of the ideas that have been rattling around in our head may be moved from concept into execution. We might start projects, but we could also shift and turn without a moment’s notice from one thing to another. This day is better suited to sampling any number of things rather than a singular focus. Mercury exits a Sign of its Detriment where Mercury can be broad in perspective but lacking in specifics. With Mercury entering Capricorn we may be far more interested in the mechanics and the best practices approach to achieve our ambitions. We may be a great deal more serious about where to concentrate our attention, but first a sorting through and then a condensation.
Saturday, December 3rd – Planning Our Steps – Venus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars, Saturn. The Capricorn Moon conjuncts Venus early in the day. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for nine and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius today. Mars sextiles Saturn. This is a day when we might be making our holiday plans, preparing for holiday get-togethers and dealing with both mundane errands and special holiday events. We can accomplish a great deal today if we attend to the details and the specifics. We may want to clear the decks early in the day in order to take advantage of fun events later in the day. We are likely to be getting into the full swing of the holidays on this weekend and looking to make the most of our step away from hardcore reality. Let’s keep in mind that these end of year holidays are a time when we embrace, even engage, the magic and mystery of asequential reality — things occurring in a most random manner and where we don’t have to make things happen but to be open to the mini-miracles all around us.
Sunday, December 4th – Whatever Comes Our way – Sun. The week may have been highly active, but the weekend is geared to enjoying ourselves. We may feel over this weekend as though we have stepped into a wonderland, and certainly these December holidays offer us the opportunity to do so. Sunday has the Aquarius Moon sextile the Sun. This is a day when we could be very chatty, ringing up people with whom we haven’t spoken for awhile, texting friends and comparing notes as to what has gone on for us in recent months, or just hanging out with those special people in our lives. This Sunday can be a pleasant day, especially if we are not concerned or bothered by ordinary affairs. We may want to add a little spice to our lives today, and this holiday season is a good time for us to do so. We are not as interested in regular routines as we are in unexpected, surprising and exciting situations developing. We all can participate in the wonders of the season and revert to being like little children with all their awe and wonder of this great gift of living. It’s not so much where we have been or what we are doing but rather all the possibilities of the unknown that lie ahead of us that are tantalizing, exciting and surprising. We can be open to the magic of these times. We just gotta believe.
