The astrology this week suggests that we might encounter those evil twins of intense and excess, so it would be wise for us to avoid any rush to judgment and to engage due diligence before getting immersed in anything.
Sunset of this past Sunday was the beginning of Rosh Hashanah and the beginning of the Jewish New Year. We start the week in contemplation, reflection, considering what we have accomplished this past year with the hope and wish of a good and sweet year ahead. Soul searching to start the week allows us to consider what are truly meaningful to us as far as our ambitions and our goals.
We might choose to pare down some of our activities. We may devise the most effective ways to get from the abstract of concept through execution to manifestation.
Mid-week could have us overextending ourselves with the blind faith that what we want we deserve and what we can conceive we can also easily achieve. Let’s not lose sight of the parameters of the paradigm shift in which we find ourselves. We are no longer in control of life circumstance [as if we ever truly were] but rather the co-creators with the universal unfolding by means of our free will and our choice as to how best to work with the conditions. Life is too magical, and increasingly so, for us to get in the way of natural unfolding and impede its progression.
While we might have to rein in our intentions during the mid-week, we may find ourselves twisting and shifting, reevaluating and reconsidering towards the end of the week. It would be wise for us to keep in mind that what may have worked for us in days past may no longer work for us, much less be relevant to us, now or in the days ahead. If we try to force issues, we might have to contend with a powerful pushback.
The weekend allows us to focus on our projects, tie up loose ends, deal with errands and provide the room for new and more personally significant activities to come forward. The universe abhors a vacuum and as we clear away the clutter and make open space, new and exciting involvements can step forward.
Monday, October 3rd – Serious Considerations – Neptune, Venus, Pluto. Monday starts the week with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. The Scorpio Moon trines Neptune, the Moon conjuncts Venus and the Moon sextiles Pluto. This is a day when we could be deep in thought, holding our cards close to our chest but evaluating and considering what appears to be going on. We can draw upon our intuitive sense to devise the most effective ways and expeditious means to accomplish our goals. Relationships might be a little icy. We are not interested in revealing everything that is going on with us. Part of our evaluating might be in regard to our interactions with other people. Like a psychological experiment, we might test people to see whether they can be there for the long haul or are just a momentary diversion. People could be rather intense today, and we might have difficulty getting an accurate read on them. This is one of those days when more is going on than meets the eye. Let’s not jump to conclusions nor make assumptions. We have a laser-like ability to cut to the core, but discretion might also prove the better part of valor.
Tuesday, October 4th – Drawing on Experience – Mercury, Sun, Saturn. Tuesday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today sextile Mercury. The Sun sextiles Saturn. If we would take our time today, we might be able to reveal the darkest held secrets. We can be piercing and penetrating in our thoughts, capable of cutting to the core and able to find the smallest needle in the largest haystack. While our mind is sharp and incisive, we might choose to draw upon a trusted confidante to get their opinion or perspective in whatever we might uncover. This is a day when we can draw upon our experience with the appreciation that we are not looking to re-create the past but might need an objective viewpoint regarding whether old patterns are being re-engaged. We are more likely to draw upon ‘the tried and the true’ today instead of giving blind faith to someone or something new. If we take things step by step and draw upon a detached assessment of the steps we are taking, we could find this day to be productive in strategizing and devising our best methods to achieve our aims. This day may not be light and airy, but our serious intent can go a long way towards being highly productive, especially in our planning.
Wednesday, October 5th – Got the World on a String – Jupiter, Venus, Pluto, Mars. Wednesday gives us the Moon entering Sagittarius where today the Moon sextiles Jupiter, the planetary ruler of Sagittarius. Venus sextiles Pluto, and Mars squares Jupiter. No matter how much planning and preparation we might have done over the past two days, Wednesday could have us going for the gold and then some. We are likely to feel upbeat with added enthusiasm stirred by someone who is advocating for us but might not have a great deal of skin in the game. While our optimism can be contagious and even win supporters to our side, we do have to be wary of taking giant leaps today. We could be so enamored with our intentions, our optimism and our support from someone that we push a little too hard, reach a little too far and climb further out on a limb than capable of holding us. Even if we have the best strategized plan of action imaginable in our mind, it would be wise to keep a little humility in mind with an appreciation for the law of unintended consequences. During this time of paradigm shift, things can change in a nanosecond with unexpected situations arising that we could hardly have conceived in our planning stages. Despite our desire to rush ahead, today calls for us to slow things down and evaluate repeatedly as we move forward.
Thursday, October 6th – There But for the Grace – Neptune, Saturn, Sun. Thursday continues with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today square Neptune, the Moon conjunct Saturn and the Moon sextile Sun. We might start this day slightly befuddled and confused. If we ended Wednesday rushing around, making too many plans and putting too many things on our plate, Thursday could begin with us wondering what to do first, where to go next and how to proceed with any of it. We have to avoid feeling like the air is being let out of our balloon, for we could feel the hard press of our responsibilities and overwhelmed by both what we have to do and what we want to do. Even if we feel slightly downhearted to begin the day, we can get an infusion of good cheer and joy from someone who can help us clear the fog, buck up and give us the push to do what we need to do with the incentive that later we can focus on what we want to do. In the US, we are coming to the long Columbus Day holiday weekend so if we clear the decks and clean up the clutter today, we might be able to take our leave for the weekend early tomorrow.
Friday, October 7th – Let Me Be – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Sun, Pluto, Mercury Libra. Friday begins with the Sagittarius Moon trine Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for over fourteen hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn late in the day. Mercury exits its own Sign of Virgo to enter Libra creating a Stellium of three planets in the Cardinal Air Sign as Mercury joins the Sun and Jupiter in Libra. The Capricorn Moon squares Mercury in Libra. The Sun squares Pluto. This weekend in the US is the long Columbus Day weekend, although some municipalities have renamed Columbus Day as Indigenous People’s Day. Whatever you choose to call it, this weekend in the US in a long holiday weekend. We may want to leave town early on this Friday. We don’t want to be hampered by what we should do, our responsibilities or our outstanding matters. We would far prefer to postpone outstanding matters until next week. In the northern latitudes, this weekend is also considered the prime leaf-peeping weekend with people rushing out of the cities to see the colorful landscape spectacle of foliage turned red, yellow, orange, gold and scarlet. If we have plans with other people, there could be delays or frustrations in getting things together so it would be wise to be prepared and give them a repeated heads-up as to arrangements and time schedules, or else just leave their dysfunctionality behind to do our own thing.
Saturday, October 8th – Strategic Maneuvers – Jupiter, Mars, Neptune, Pluto. Saturday continues with the Capricorn Moon with the Moon today square Jupiter, the Moon sextile Neptune and the Moon conjunct both Mars and Pluto. We might be distracted by what we want to do or feel the need to do. Someone may feel that they have from us an IOU and are calling it in today. If we have to dance to someone else’s tune today, let’s do their dance in the morning hours so that we have much of the day to do our own thing. We can be highly attuned to what is going on by feeling out things and coming up with a clear sense of our parameters. This day can also be an either or type of day and might give an interesting prelude as to what might occur on the 19th when Mars and Pluto conjunct. There can be explosive incidents today. We might make incredible strides in our plans by drawing both on our intuitive sense and our passion. There can be no stopping us today for we have the ability to virtually move mountains. A negative use of the energies today could lead to people acting out and situations blowing up with people getting out of hand. There is incredible and intense energy on this Saturday. How we choose to work with the energies will determine whether this day is a highly productive day or an extremely dangerous time.
Sunday, October 9th – All Over the Place – Venus, Lunar T-Square, Sun, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday continues with the Moon in Capricorn with the Moon today sextile Venus and the Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares the Sun in Libra and the Moon squares Uranus in Aries. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for thirteen and a half hours as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn without any further connections to the planets and before the Moon enters Aquarius early on Monday morning. This Sunday would be a good time to deal with any obligatory social engagements. Even if we would prefer to take some ‘down time’ for ourselves, we might find that we are being pulled in different directions by someone who may be in need of our assistance. There may be a lot going on this Sunday, so let’s fly like a butterfly, alighting here for a brief period of time, then somewhere else and on. This is a day when it would be wise for us not to stay in one place too long unless its on our couch watching a sporting event or a good movie. If we choose to help someone out today, we have to be wary that they aren’t like a bottomless pit whereby the more we do, the more they want us to do for them. Short and sweet would be an attitude to embrace on this Sunday.
