The astrology this week of October 17th through the 23rd ratchets up the energy from the mid-week period on. Yes, folks, it’s time to fasten our seat belts, for we may be in for a bumpy ride.
The week starts off pleasantly enough. We may feel as if we are putting everything in order with our focus on our goals and ambitions. We might be more optimistic about things despite all the craziness occurring in the world-at-large. We could even accept the belief that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
The mid-week period towards the end of the week can give lie to our assumption of stasis. On the contrary, mid-week could be slightly explosive. There could be intense releases of energy — geophysical releases in earthquakes and volcanic activity, bomb blasts and people acting out even to the point of war-like activities, and even troubling issues with the mega-corporations with banking being one particular sector to keep watch on with some of the whipsaws recently with Deutsche Bank. If something significant occurs, we have to watch the reaction from the equity markets. BUT if we can channel the energy productively, we could virtually move mountains.
It would be wise to avoid immediate reactions during this mid-week period on, for we might not have full information and on the contrary could tend to knee-jerk reactions. The liability to misinformation or disinformation [we used to call that lies] cannot be discounted. What we hear and see may be more an illusion or a deception and not revelatory of the true nature of a situation.
Thursday has the Mercury opposed Uranus aspect, my least favorite for air travel. This latter part of the week calls for us to be diligent regarding backing up our computer files with possible interruptions or problems with Internet and computer matters.
The latter part of the week into the weekend may have us deciding to hide out, but we might also be aware that there is nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide. Nonetheless, we could be all over the place during the weekend until we arrive to Sunday, and this Sunday could prove to be a pleasant respite and a time to enjoy ourselves with those people we care about.
No matter how crazy the world seems to get, we don’t have to buy into the anxiety or craziness. We always have our safe, happy place / space to go to, and Sunday could find us cavorting there.
Monday, October 17th – Moving Ahead with Precision – Neptune, Mars, Pluto, Moon Void-of-Course. Monday starts the week with the Taurus Moon sextile Neptune and the Moon trine both Mars and Pluto. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twenty-four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Taurus and before the Moon enters Gemini tomorrow. We can start the day with a plan in mind. Our plans can be engaging, imaginative and seductive and can also be precise, dramatic and powerful. We are moving closer to the Mars Pluto conjunction on Wednesday. Nothing may be done in half measure, so it would be wise for us to keep reins in hand and take things step by step. We might draw upon our intuitive sense and our inner knowing to keep us from being overly forceful or pushing too hard. We may be highly effective and productive today, but we need to avoid an overreach.
Tuesday, October 18th – Here and There – Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Venus Sagittarius. The Void-of-Course Moon that began yesterday continues into this Tuesday with the Taurus Moon making no connections to the planets before the Moon enters Gemini where today the Gemini Moon opposes Venus which has exited Scorpio today to enter Sagittarius. We may feel pulled in various directions today, concentrating on what is happening around us but also cognizant of what might be occurring far afield. Our energy can pick up and might be heightened ever more by the Mars Pluto configuration which is coming close to an exact conjunction tomorrow. We may have all sorts of thoughts rumbling around in our consciousness, but our depth of thought might be lacking. Could we be slightly scattered? Possibly so, but once we focus on something we may go whole hog in that particular trajectory. This is a day for us to pump up our sense of good feelings, optimism and confidence. We might find a good advocate for what we have done and what we plan to do. Words of encouragement can go a long way towards dousing the flare-ups of insecurities and questionings of our own talents. It’s important that we look to the far horizon, consider the big picture and not get stuck in the minutiae of our mundane.
Wednesday, October 19th – Steam Vents and Slow Downs – Jupiter, Mercury, Uranus, Lunar T-Square, Neptune, Saturn, Mars, Pluto. Wednesday could prove a tale of two sentiments and two very different actions. On the one hand, the Gemini Moon trines both Jupiter and Mercury in Libra and the Moon sextiles Uranus in Aries. Discussing matters with our trusted confidantes can make us aware of options we might not have taken into account. The people closest to us can also support our abilities and talents that we sometimes take for granted or don’t acknowledge of ourselves. On the other hand, we have the Gemini Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Neptune in Pisces and the Moon opposed Saturn in Sagittarius. We might find ourselves in a whirlwind, dealing with outstanding matters that could tend to trip us up or juggling so many different situations that we become confused and inattentive to any one particular thing. The either or of this day demands that we get a grip, pull in the reins so that we don’t find ourselves all over the place, and slow things down. With Mars conjunct Pluto today nothing is likely done in half measure. Whatever we engage, we may find that we are going full force, and so it would be wise for us to take our time, focus and consider where to place our energy. On a macro level, this day could prove quite intense as the headlines might reveal. There can be explosions, bomb blasts, acting out and geophysical phenomena. This Mars Pluto energy could prove extreme, and it would be wise to keep one’s ear to the railroad tracks in order to be aware of what is coming down the line. Even if there is a crash and burn scenario going on, it would be wise to keep in mind that the phoenix rises from its ashes.
Thursday, October 20th – Mad or Genius – Sun, Moon Void-of-Course, Mercury, Uranus. Thursday has the Gemini Moon trine the Sun. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for four hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Gemini and before the Moon enters Cancer. The Moon in Cancer today makes no aspects to the planets, but the Cancer Moon will be active tomorrow and Saturday. The main event of this Thursday seems to be Mercury opposed Uranus. This aspect is my least favorite for air travel, for there can be missed connections or at worst travel accidents. We can be highly inspired, get one of those brilliant ideas and have a sense of revelatory awakening. We could also be somewhat brusque demanding to accentuate our individuality even to the extreme of being a rebel, with or without cause. We might have a tendency today to leap before looking, jump ahead with conclusions prior to gathering evidence, and shoot from the lip. This is a day to be a defensive driver, take our time before determining our trajectory and not immediately react to some unexpected incident. There can be computer issues and Internet problems, so it would be wise to anticipate screw-ups today. Thursday might certainly provide us with scenarios where unintended consequences are largely at play. We are no longer living in a straight line world.
Friday, October 21st – Evidence to the Contrary – Neptune, Lunar T-Square, Jupiter, Pluto, Mars. This week could have everybody on edge, as if we were all waiting for a shoe to drop. Friday and Saturday engage a Cardinal Sign T-Square. Today, the Cancer Moon trines Neptune and triggers a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Cancer Moon squares Jupiter in Libra and the Moon opposes Pluto and Mars both in Capricorn. We may be highly active today and tomorrow, but our actions today might be triggered by someone other than ourselves. If we would start the day in quiet reflection and take into account what seem the most propitious activities to address on this Friday, we could avoid running around in circles. The Pluto Mars influence, which was at its most impactful on Wednesday, is still in play and can cause whatever we choose to do to be done to the maximum and beyond. Nothing is likely to be done in half measure, and that’s where a problem could arise. We could be egged on by someone to engage in projects that could prove Herculean and might even strain our resources. Before we launch out on this day, it is suggested that we take time to trace out our schedule, prioritize our interests and recognize that some people may have an agenda for us. It’s up to us to either accept or reject their pleadings and diverting our focus to someone else’s needs.
Saturday, October 22nd – Continued Push Pulls – Lunar T-Square, Uranus, Mercury, Sun, Sun Scorpio. Friday and Saturday have the Cancer Moon triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square just with different players involved on each of these two days. The Cancer Moon today squares Uranus in Aries and the Moon squares Mercury and the Sun both in Libra. Both yesterday and today could have had our nurturing nature and our empathetic understanding engaged to helping out someone else with their issues and situations. We might have been putting our own interests on the back burner as we became involved in someone’s dance. Saturday could have us again concentrating on someone’s interests and possibly to the detriment of our own. Such a situation may not make us happy, but our desire and willingness to assist can be employed. Even if we lose the balance between our personal interests and those of someone else today and yesterday, let’s not resent the choices we make. It would be wise to keep in mind the saying that ‘what goes around comes around’. Our help to someone today could eventually wind up to someone helping us in the future. As the day progresses, the Moon exits Cancer to enter Leo. Our savior / martyr disposition can shift into us looking for some good times and outlets for our creative self-expression. Late in the day, the Sun exits Libra ending the Stellium of three planets in the Cardinal Air Sign and the Sun enters Scorpio. We are moving into the four week cycle where we might be more contemplative, looking to pare down the excess in our lives to concentrate on the truly significant, and even become slightly secretive unwilling to reveal all of what is going on with us.
Sunday, October 23rd – Reach Out of the Darkness – Venus, Jupiter, Saturn. The best days of this week seem bookended. Monday could have had us virtually moving mountains, being highly productive and accomplishing more than we might have imagined. This Sunday allows us playtime and the opportunity to stretch our wings and lighten up. Today, the Leo Moon sextiles Jupiter in Libra and the Moon trines Venus and Saturn both in Sagittarius. Even if we had to devote some of our time and energy to someone else over the past two days, this Sunday can make up for any begrudging feelings of being put upon. Sunday has us shining in the pleasant company of someone, whether we get together with them, ring them up or text them. We might be looking at expanding our horizons today, for we are feeling far more vibrant and vital and desiring to enjoy ourselves. Whether we participate in our own creativity, enjoy the creativity of other people or just walk in the sunshine, this Sunday is a day when we can recharge, reinvigorate and feel the joy of doing life.
