September 12th – 18th, 2016

The astrology this week can have us off to a bumpy start with people having a chip on their shoulder and a critical sharp tongue to match.

We might just be trying too hard as we start the week. We could feel overwhelmed by all the various details with which we have to contend. Overload may be our sense of things, but in response we can try to do too much or push ahead no matter the impediments in our way.

Even if we exhaust ourselves at the beginning of the week dealing with the tasks at hand all the while longing to focus on future pursuits, the mid-week period allows us to take things down a notch or two, find refuge in our happy safe space even to the point of being absent while present. Mid-week could have us tuning out much of the static bombarding us by the media, by the people we converse with, and by even our family and friends. “Enough already!” might be our cry as we step away from the madding crowd to find a healthy respite for ourselves.

Any moments to recharge ourselves mid-week can come to an abrupt end as we come towards the weekend with the Harvest Full Moon on Friday, a Lunar Eclipse.

The weekend could have us exploring new interests and engaging ‘me’ time as we look for those events that are a welcome relief from our daily routine and that provide us a sense of doing what we want by doing our own thing. We just have to be wary of extreme actions and creating havoc with our relationships.

The more we embrace balance this week, the less likely we are to carom from one extreme to another with the liability of banging and crashing about. Deep breaths and a foot on the brake can go a long way towards avoiding getting caught up in a whirlwind of activity.

Monday, September 12th – Telling the Way It Is – Mercury, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course, Jupiter, Mars, Sun. This Monday begins the week with us concentrating on our responsibilities and our normal routine. Although we can be focused on what needs to be done, we are likely to prefer whatever catches our fancy. Even though we might have a schedule to keep, we might choose fascinating distractions to engage. The day begins with the Capricorn Moon trine Mercury and the Moon square Uranus. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eleven and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Capricorn and before the Moon enters Aquarius later in the day when the Moon trines Jupiter. Mercury squares Mars and the Sun conjuncts Mercury. Under the guise of a ‘strong offense is a good defense’, we have to be wary that we or someone else doesn’t get too belligerent in discussions. There could be the liability to ‘shoot from the lip’ without thinking things through or considering the possible ramifications of what is being expressed. There can be a critical disposition to this day. We might feel as though we are doing what needs to be done, resenting it and feeling that we should be more autonomous in our actions. We could scuttle some of our plans to wing it and do what we want, but let’s keep in mind that even if we postpone our obligations we shall have to deal with them at some point. The evening hours can be pleasant and we may choose to connect with that special someone. The first two days of the week might have us champing at the bit, wanting to get on with things, but it would be wise for us to give thought to our decisions and commitments before acting.

Tuesday, September 13th – Acting Out – Saturn, Sun, Mars. The Aquarius Moon today sextiles Saturn and the Sun squares Mars. If we can rein in our impatience and our desire to get things done without thinking things through, then this day can be a day when we can develop the template of our future goals. It might be wise to draw upon a trusted confidante to give us a clear and detached heads-up regarding our plans and our intentions. We could be so caught up in what we want to do that we don’t fully consider how we are going to do our plans or why we are engaged with our projects. That’s where an objective perspective could prove helpful and keep us from going down the rabbit hole. Monday and Tuesday could have us pushing forward with blinders on, intent to do our thing but without giving full thought to our decisions or our actions. In the interest of achieving, we could gloss over details and negate important specifics. Monday and Tuesday could have people irritable with a chip on their shoulder and unbending in their assumptions. Let’s avoid confrontations, for verbal disagreements might lead into aggressive behavior. Everyone may need to cool it and chill out. Braking action on words and deeds are suggested for Monday and Tuesday. Otherwise, we could set into motion a spiral of cacophony and chaos.

Wednesday, September 14th – Catching Our Breath – Venus, Mars, Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. Hopefully, we avoided crash and burn scenarios over the past two days. Whether we are able to skirt petulance in ourselves or from other people on Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday provides an opportunity to catch our breath, make nice with other people and even pursue some of our most outlandish self-interests. The Aquarius Moon trines Venus, the Moon sextiles Mars in Sagittarius and the Moon sextiles Uranus in Aries. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for eleven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aquarius and before the Moon enters Pisces late in the day. Although Wednesday is considered ‘hump day’ of the work week, this Wednesday could prove the most pleasant day of this week. This is a good day to get together with someone or with people and enjoy their company over a leisurely lunch. Sharing time with other people can reveal options and alternatives for ourselves that we might not have considered. Today is a day for us to consider possibilities rather than our mundane realities. The last two days could have had us immersed in our habitual routine with a strong sentiment of resentment. Wednesday allows us to step away from our regular involvements and engage a world of possibilities. While the last two days could have had us trying to force things, this day allows the magic and mini-miracles of serendipity and being in the right place at the right time to play out. We just have to be open to receive the surprising and unexpected.

Thursday, September 15th – Bumping Up Against the Impediments – Neptune, Saturn, Pluto. The Pisces Moon today conjuncts Neptune, the Moon squares Saturn and the Moon sextiles Pluto. Yesterday could have given us a healthy respite, reinvigorated us and opened our eyes to possibilities that we might have earlier considered as impossible. This Thursday accentuates our moods and emotions but it would be important that we don’t get lulled into the sense that what happened yesterday spills over into this day for we could be utterly disappointed. While our intuitive sense can be heightened and our belief in the magic and mini-miracles of the paradigm shift strengthened, we do need to keep in mind that there are times when delays or frustrations can get in our way. We might start the day in an otherworldly mood. Our sensitivity is heightened. Coming to terms with reality can be a sharp jolt similar to getting the bends in coming up from diving too quickly. While we might be sprung back into our mundane reality, if we don’t allow our emotions to throw us into a victim mode or reactive stance, we can draw upon our inner knowing and a best practices approach to deal with whatever comes our way, whatever impediments to our progress notwithstanding. This can be a highly productive day if we focus our attention, deal with outstanding matters and prioritize our activities.

Friday, September 16th – Shine on, Harvest Moon – Pisces Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Lunar T-Square, Mercury, Mars, Sun. The week may have been something of a roller coaster ride with various ups and downs over the week and with the week crescendoing on this Friday with the Pisces Full Moon, the Harvest Moon and a Lunar Eclipse. This Full Moon triggers a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon opposed both Mercury and the Sun and the Moon square Mars. We started the week off with a good deal of intensity — liable to have a chip on the shoulder and a brusque and nasty tongue — and we could experience this Friday the same way. More goes on than meets the eye on this Friday, and we could find ourselves in a world of confusion. Even if we try to figure things out, our tendency might be to jump to conclusions rather than taking the time for due diligence. Not everything is likely to be revealed with people tending to be secretive, giving less rather than more and with a suspicious eye as to what appears to be going on. Let’s watch the mood swings today, for our emotions are heightened at the time of a Full Moon, ever more so under the influence of the Pisces Full Moon [in the Scorpio decanate] and the Lunar Eclipse. We may not have to hide under the covers on this Friday but we do have to watch our anxiety and nervous energy and not let our emotions run away with us.

Saturday, September 17th – Back in the Game – Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Uranus. After some of the whipsaws of the week, this weekend starts on a pleasant note. The Moon moves into Aries where today the Moon opposes Jupiter and the Moon trines Saturn. Mars trines Uranus. This is a day for a grand adventure. Even if we are committed to certain engagements, we are likely to add on time to be spontaneous and explore interesting diversions. We might even consider some form of extreme sport today, for we are likely to feel as though we have gained a second wind, no longer led around by our emotions and with a greater energy and a desire to accentuate our individual interests. Some of our individual whims could run counter to someone else’s interests, so it would be wise for a meeting of the minds rather than a tug of war. Let’s look to create win-win situations with our relationships and not a lose-lose scenario whereby we might gain our wishes on the short term only to pay the price down the road. Even if we look to a grand adventure and act impulsively, it would be a good idea to have the necessary supplies at hand before we head out. The latter part of the day allows us to reconnect and address plans already made, but we are likely to want some time today to do something exciting on the spur-of-the-moment.

Sunday, September 18th – Twist and Shout – Lunar T-Square, Pluto, Uranus, Venus, Mars, Moon Void-of-Course. Sunday continues with the Aries Moon with the Moon today triggering a Cardinal Sign T-Square as the Moon squares Pluto, the Moon conjuncts Uranus and the Moon opposes Venus. The Moon trines Mars just before the Moon goes Void-of-Course later in the day for eight and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Aries and before the Moon enters Taurus early Monday morning. Venus opposes Uranus. We could be all over the place on this Sunday. While there is a great deal of energy to this day, much of it can be consumed by obligations we need to address and unexpected demands placed upon us by someone. No one seems to be on the same page on this Sunday, and relationships could get dicey with everyone wanting their own way. It would be suggested that we accommodate other people’s needs early in the day and enjoy the latter part of the day airing out, whether a drive in the country or a strenuous workout at the gym.
