The astrology this week seems like percolating in the summer sun. We just have to watch a boiling point over the weekend.
After a rowdy and possibly difficult past weekend, the week begins on a quieter note. We may be looking for peace and quiet, but we’re liable to be acting like Frank Costanza in Seinfeld yelling: ‘Serenity now!’
If we didn’t experience a body slam or whack on the side of the head this past weekend, we should count ourselves fortunate. That was then, this is now, but it would be suggested we keep in mind that what went on over this past weekend could be repeated this coming weekend with an altered format.
The early part of this week can be pleasant. We might choose to spend time with that special someone. Often, our lives are so fast-paced that we hardly have a moment to spend chatting, dining and enjoying someone’s company. We may want to do so as we start the week, for we could also be looking for solace or some clarification regarding recent events.
The mid-part of the week allows us to get our house in order both literally and figuratively. We can prioritize our involvements, make plans as to how best to reach our goals, and rid ourselves of the extraneous hanging on.
The latter part of the week could have us hitting the road. For some people, it will be time to head off to college, for others a last gasp of summer vacation and for still others a dash to the stores for necessary school supplies. Next week may have school starting, college orientation and the push to get back on track.
The weekend might prove difficult. Relationships can be dicey. Not everyone will be on the same page, so there can be various push – pulls going on. Let’s avoid making any disagreements a tug-of-war. Charm and diplomacy are called for and cutting everyone a great deal of slack. Why have a kerfuffle that can only cause bad feelings? We may need to chill, not put too much on our plate for the weekend, add on extra time to get things accomplished and be especially nice to one another.
Monday, August 8th – Letting the Dust Settle – Uranus, Moon Void-of-Course. This past weekend might have been a little difficult with misunderstandings and miscommunications. This Monday allows us to take the time to reach out and comfort someone or clarify any situations that became muddled. The Libra Moon today opposes Uranus before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for eleven hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Libra and before the Moon enters Scorpio early on Tuesday. This is a good day to let the dust settle and not push anything. We might want to take the lead from someone and then follow through. Being a receptive listener and affirming that we are collaborative can go a long way towards gaining needed assistance in the future. We might have to focus on someone else’s matters today, but there will come a time when we can draw upon them for support. This is a day to talk things through without feeling the need to act on whatever is being discussed.
Tuesday, August 9th – Deep Feelings – Venus, Neptune. Tuesday has the Scorpio Moon sextile Venus and the Moon trine Neptune. Our emotions may be strong and deep today. Interactions with other people can have real meaning. We are not interested in the shallow or superficial. We want heart to heart today. Our depth of feeling can be expressed in everything we do today. We want to present things from their core but with essential embellishments. Reveries today could be idyllic walks into imaginary fields. If we can step away from the hubbub that goes on in our daily lives, we are likely to do so. This is a day to meditate, reflect and realize that there is so much more to living than our mere mundane affairs. Our intuitive sense may be strong and we might have an inner knowing about things. This Tuesday is not a day for someone to try and pull the wool over our eyes, for we are likely to be astutely aware as to what is really going on. We may keep our cards close to our chest, but there’s no fooling us today.
Wednesday, August 10th – Precisely in Order – Mercury, Pluto, Sun. We can accomplish a great deal today if we keep our nose to the grindstone. We might prefer to loll about in the sun today, but this day is far more effective to prioritize what needs to get done and then accomplish our ‘to do’ list in a most expeditious manner. Wednesday continues with the Scorpio Moon with the Moon today sextile Mercury in Virgo, the Moon sextile Pluto in Capricorn and the Moon square the Sun in Leo. Mercury trines Pluto. We are not interested in anyone grandstanding today or being on center stage unless they have something worthwhile to perform. Our mind is sharp, laser-like and so too may be our communications. We are not putting any frills on anything today. We are likely to be concise, succinct and cut to the core. This is a good day to plan our preparations and line our ducks in a row. We can focus on the most important issues, be precise in our actions and orderly in the way we carry things out.
Thursday, August 11th – Hitting the Open Road – Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Mars. Thursday begins with the Scorpio Moon sextile Jupiter. The Moon then goes Void-of-Course for twelve hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Scorpio and before the Moon enters Sagittarius where today the Moon conjuncts Mars. Early on Thursday we could be rushing around, tying up loose ends and dealing with any important matters. We want to clear the decks in order to take advantage of the more expansive energies today, tomorrow and early Saturday. If we have dealt with what we needed to get done, we could find ourselves getting a second wind ready to expand our activities or possibly get out of town for a brief respite. Once we have dealt with our regular responsibilities, we might be more concerned about our preparations, whether those preparations are for a trip, school starts or autumn wardrobe shopping. We may feel buoyed and exuberant in the second part of this Thursday, but let’s keep a rein on our enthusiasm. Irrational exuberance could prove deadly and might even have us encounter various brambles and thorns over the next few days. It would be wise to keep in mind that these times call for awareness and mindfulness with recognition that there are phases of extremes between the ups and the downs.
Friday, August 12th – Delays, All Over the Place – Lunar T-Square, Venus, Neptune, Saturn. Friday continues with the Sagittarius Moon. We might assume a feel good quality on this Friday, after all, it is Friday and the Moon is in Sagittarius. Where a problem arises would be with the Sagittarius Moon conjunct Saturn and the Moon triggering a Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon square Venus in Virgo and the Moon square Neptune in Pisces. Saturn will be turning direct tomorrow, ending its almost five-month retrograde cycle. We certainly see the impact of a planet turning direction with Mercury. Whenever Mercury is stationary and about to go direct from retrograde motion or retrograde to direct motion things associated with Mercury get increasingly squirrely — transportation, communication, misunderstandings, traffic problems. While Saturn turning direct is welcome, releasing us from some of the delays and frustrations we might have experienced over the past five months, today and this weekend could be fraught with delays and various structural difficulties. Watch your back! Old issues might be blocking our forward movement. Today’s energies can have us running from pillar to post with various delays and frustrations met along the way. This is a day for us to make a plan for our day, the itinerary and direction considered, and to add on extra time to accomplish whatever we wish to accomplish. If we run out the door impetuously, not only could we be banging about with us all over the place but we might not get nearly as much done as we anticipated. Let’s slow things down, take things step by step and not get confused by overload.
Saturday, August 13th – Feeling Our Oats – Mercury, Lunar Grand Trine, Sun, Uranus, Jupiter, Moon Void-of-Course, Venus, Saturn, Saturn direct. Saturday begins with the Sagittarius Moon with the Moon today square Mercury, the Moon triggering a Fire Grand Trine as the Moon trines the Sun in Leo and the Moon trines Uranus in Aries, then the Moon squares Jupiter before the Moon goes Void-of-Course for ten and a half hours with the Moon making no further connections to the planets as the Moon finishes its transit of Sagittarius and before the Moon enters Capricorn early Sunday morning. Saturn turns direct and Venus squares Saturn with Venus opposing Neptune tomorrow. We may be a little too self-absorbed as we start this Saturday. We might assume that the world revolves around us. Blithely going along, we might miss certain important signals and make some serious missteps both in regard to our activities and with our relationships. We could be so immersed with our own personal interests that we wind up offending someone all the while that we are trying to do too much in a rather haphazard manner. Relationships may be dicey this weekend and we might need to engage charm and diplomacy to the max to avoid upsetting someone else. This is a day for us to get a grip on ourselves, recognize that we are not islands unto ourselves and that other people might have something to say and could provide solid input as to some of our involvements. We may not want to depend upon anyone today, but it would be wise for us to listen to someone who has a detached and objective viewpoint. Otherwise, we could go gleefully along and fall deep into a hole that would be hard to get out from.
Sunday, August 14th – Making Amends – Neptune, Venus. We may not know what we did or what caused it, but today could be a day for us to make amends for any obnoxious behavior that we displayed over the past two days. Having been in a self-obsessed disposition, even to the point of being narcissistic, we might have offended someone or created some serious backlash to our actions. Sunday is a day to turn things around, eat some crow, be humble and ask for forgiveness even if we aren’t aware of what we may have done to annoy someone. Relationships are dicey this weekend. Friday had the Moon triggering the Mutable Sign T-Square with the Moon conjunct Saturn and the Moon squaring Venus in Virgo and the Moon squaring Neptune in Pisces. Yesterday started a Venus T-Square with Venus square Saturn, the other point to the T-Square triggered on this Sunday with Venus opposed Neptune. Everyone might have a hypercritical attitude with expectations raised beyond human capability. People may have had a chip on their shoulder, acting in unfriendly ways but without clear indication of what offense had been committed. Late on this Sunday, relationships can come back onto an even keel. The Moon in Capricorn sextiles Neptune and the Moon trines Venus. We can clear the air and make amends for any issues that might have come up over the past few days. Stress might have contributed to misunderstandings. We could have had too much on our plate this weekend. No matter what personal discords might have arisen over the past two days, late Sunday allows us to fix things and make things right.
